Slab I agree it's confusing but the model is not trying to do any conversions at all. The conversions are already done before they hit the models. So, the model isn't going out trying to get their own traffic or guys to join through them. The model is sitting there to give shows to those who have already been converted by someone else. Not sure if those shows are free for the guys or not (although I'm pretty sure at least one is). The earnings of the model are therefore in no way tied to the numbers of conversions, nor is the model being paid for the conversions. The affiliates are being paid for the conversions - but the model is not doing the affiliate work.

Slab just re read your post and again i agree that there doesn't seem to be a real NEED for the models in this case - Imlive isn't short of them! And yes, I think that during the other hours the promotional material of the model would still be being used to make conversions - the model never gets any money for the conversions - just the money for the time doing shows, and that's the case even during the 5 flat rate hours. The company said that the reason they want models to sign up with them to do this (as opposed to just using the material already on imlive) is because they want reliable models that they can point to straight away for the guys. Don't know if this is a good business move or not as I have no experience in that sort of thing. I also don't know what the deal is for the guys - ie whether they get the 5 hours per week free or whether they still pay. I'm only really expanding on what I *think* has been said above so may be completely wrong!!!

What!? Giving shows to those that are already members describes what cam models already do, and if she isn't driving traffic or trying to get guys to join (being the model that converts them), then whats the point of this thread?

Up to $500 for doing what your already doing??? How does that not sound like a scam to anyone :O

Yes, it seems like this affiliate would be getting all of the money from conversions, maybe for as long as the model is "under" them (which makes me wonder if they have a deal with ImLive so models can't leave and sign-up directly with ImLive for a number of months). If we go on just that, they become a kind of studio/affiliate "boss" that is going to manage your YOUR earnings from conversions by only giving you a fixed amount up-front. Once again, it's better for models to do the affiliate work directly, without a middle MAN :P

I must say I agree with Slab.

yeah - from a model's point of view it is absolutely better for them to get their own conversions than to have someone else use their content and shows in order to make those conversions. BUT, it also takes a lot of time and energy to go out and get those conversions. And frankly, some models can't be bothered with all that stuff!

btw just to make it clear - I'm not arguing that this scheme is good or bad or anything - just trying to make sense of the way I *think* they are saying it works from what has been posted above.

I'm not arguing that this scheme is good or bad or anything...

I doubt anyone here would think you're trying to push/promote it, and I understand where your coming from. The fact that we have to sort it all out just proves to me this $100/hr stuff isn't legit (because they didn't think it thru or are trying to pull a fast one).

BritishBecky
05-15-2011, 09:39 AM
yeah - I think it needs a better explanation posting here and when they say they are running two programs (affiliates being one and models being another) there is quite a lot of potential for mix up. If it is legit then it's a very different approach than others out there that I have seen. But, it's success/failure would depend a great deal on whether their sign ups easily outweigh what they are shelling out on the models, and then them not getting greedy :D

I think it's kinda like when those guys pretend to be models and get guys to sign up for a show with that person (pretending it's them) but with the girls actually being in on it for once :D

I really HATE the " we dont have enough time for " excuse.

Because everyday you ladies find time to " work for somebody else".

What the fuck?

CamWhore

Nothing he is doing is a scam.

actually its genius.

But let me tell you why it works for him.

Lazy ass cammodels. We see carrots dangling, so we jump for them.

If you where to sit in stremamte and use your pay per sign up affiliate link WHILE in free chat , youd make yourself your own money....

SO whats this thing ( bullshit ) about time again?

Everybody is trying to make a quick dollar instead of thinking long term. You dont win here, they do....

And as a affiliate marketer myself i'm not hating... wish I would have thought of it.
But as a model I say we can do it ourselves honestly..... Im all for independence.

If you cant write a blog post 3 times a week and throw a banner under that shit, your just lazy, not busy.... lets keep it real here.

BritishBecky

yeah like I said 'can't be bothered', not 'don't have time'. Some models can't be bothered. Some can (and typically are more successful, work less and earn more)

I love how we are all sharing and contributing to this Thread. Than you ladies.
I would like to contribute with an idea and a bit of how I do my own affiliate sales by myself. I wish I could dedicate more time and energy to do it, i would be doing great financially only on affiliates, but, it is hard work keeping up with it. And time is so limited.

As simple as offering an hour "Featured Show" at a scheduled date and time to all those guys that sign up via my affiliate.
Lets say..The affiliate pays $40 per sign up. My goal is 10 sign ups per day, ($400) just for me.
So I offer my One Hour Show via this affiliate. I do the show on my own personal cam chat room, plus give them a discount code for my Private shows on the site I am selling for.

You can open also a model account on the site you are selling the affiliates for, and offer the client a very LOW rate if he signs up via your affiliate.
This gives you not only your nice affiliate earning, but a repetitive client.

This is what works for me. Might or Might not work for others, but just wanted to share.

As I said before and I will say it again, Yall try it and let me know how it goes. I don't jump when someone promises huge amounts of money. As someone that has worn multiple titles in the adult industry, I am pretty knowledgeable about the tricks, scam and bs alot of these sites/complanies pull. MANY of you on this thread are jumping on this oppurtunity.. sure go ahead KUDOS ....... BUT yall are the same ones that post new sites here every week only to be scammed and come here and cry "RIP OFF". Yall really need to smarten up. I find it amazing that the same ones posting here are the same ones that were just scammed 3 weeks ago by that..... oh let's not mention names!

Fact of the matter is, All that glitters is NOT gold and until you have tried a program you better not endorse it because when shit hits the fan everyone's going to look at you. Me? There are too many red flags for me to take one for the team! So It's not that I'm trying to be negative about this compnay in particular,it's smart to question and be wary of these companies that pop up. Again... SMARTEN UP!

We have the owner saying that the program is not yet ready for use .. then we have some saying that they've worked for the company so yes poor me is a little confused... <<<< whatever! :( Ok so I'm guessing there is the model program and the affiliate program and the model program is not ready yet? Right? Ok I think i got it now.

CuriousLatine: Nice affiliate program you got there. Isn't Ulust the one that's been taking model's money and closing their account for no reason? Just asking love. I was just checking out your siggy >>>>>>

Again.... to the others: DO NOT ENDORSE A COMPANY YOU HAVE NEVER WORKED FOR! I shouldn't knock a company I have never worked for but with the BS we see here on sw with a lot of you getting scammed.. I think my worrying is for good reason. Good luck!

How about another model pretending to be another model and sending traffic to her room and getting paid for it? Win-Win eh? Yeah been doing that for two weeks. I see how that program brings in $$$$$$$$$$8)

I'm pretty sure that no one has endorsed it yet. Maybe someone will at some point, maybe not. Whichever way though, it won't be me :D

I know who/what I was referring to and it wasn't you. See the thing is a lot of ladies take what I and others say as golden. For example: If I was to post new site tomorrow saying how amazing this site is, this and that .. A LOT of girls will run there and join! I just don't want one of you to get scammed so yes it will be nice to see the direction things go with this company!

Hey gorgeous TouringGirlfriend, I will be glad to answer that question. I never had any issues with Uust so far, almost a year with them and all my checks get on time. I saw a post about Ulust many months ago here and models having issues with pay, but I never had issues with pay (so I could not relate to that). The only issue I have is getting "Open Hourly Pay Blocks" since they only allow pay 8 models. Those hourly open sluts are being dominated by an Asian studio, not worth the stress (or crappy hourly pay) Not to mention the amount of beggars and rude jerks you need to put up with.

But since I am only doing affiliates I am not stressing the Hourly Pay anymore, I log in just to give my show for those that sign up via my affiliate. Rather have $200-$400 than $8-$12 on an hour of cam show on that site.

My Girlfriend is also doing it, selling the afiliate while I am the one that bite the bullet and do the cam show (and have a profile up). So we promote that one hour show of mine, and that's it.
At the end, is our hard earned money, we keep it all, and no one takes a chunk of it. And the clients can enjoy (and go beg to) the selection of all the other models that are there 24/7...so they are happy at the end.
Believe me, the day they mess up with my pay, I will move on (and post it here as well) LOL

Thank you so much for that explanation!

Now Arialandre and minnie would probably get pissed if they read that. They had issues with the company big time. Interesting that you didn't have any. Anyways, Good luck!!!

Yes, I don't know why is that, but knock on wood (one day might be my turn). It happened to me as well before. I had awful issues with a couple of sites posted here, while other girls had none. I guess is like winning the lottery.

I do encourage the models to join the affiliate of the sites they are currently working for (and that they know they had no issues with). It is a great way to bring new clients and that extra money.
