- Paying for expensive items solely with cash
- Pulling said cash out from purse that's bundled with elastic bands

When a girl is buying exciting-looking items (fun fake eyelashes! new mascara! super cute thongs!) without displaying an ounce of excitement.

Yakking with your buddy on the cell phone in Whole foods about the SBM you encountered today and inquiring about house fees at the new club oblivious to the shocked stares and dropped draws of other shoppers.

When the bouncer lets three girls in scruffy sweats and perfect hair/make up into macdolands (the maccy's has doormen on at night in town) with a "hiya girls, good night was it?" and then turns away other customers because "we're closing" cause he knows we all have money and dont like getting hassled by drunk ass punters at 4:30am after we finish work.

-complains about only having small change of $20s and $10s (Hubby pulled me up on this the other day haha)
-is well groomed, but wearing zero makeup (could never be bothered outside of work)
and as others said the large bag/case and wandering the street for taxis at 5am

What is it with all the mentions of sunglasses? It cant be for looks........and from personal experience its not for blocking the sun because at 7am and 50degrees there is no sun.

After 8-11 hours with NO daylight.. Any light is gonna be bright. Walking out at 6 am after all night in a club hurts no matter how bright the sun is at that time.. And it can be pretty damn bright

I'd like to add the cute baseball cap and pony tail. A must have in my book for dealing with the public.

Not sure how indicative this is for dayshift, but for those of us vampires, if we do go out in daylight, usually very large dark tinted sunglasses, large quantities of 1's hell I don't know what else.....

Heres a sub thread: Spotting a dayshift vs nightshift dancer OTC

I do this and I know it's a give-a-way. Whenever I hear "Girls, girls, girls" by Motley Crue I start scanning the room to see who wants a 2-4-1.

I would venture the girls on a night out who can actually strut in their massive heels, not waddle precariously while wearing a dress ill-suited to their body shape.
(don't know why they irk me so much lately!)

at 230am there are two women in the 24 hour grocery store, wearing full makeup completely inappropriate for... anywhere... may or may not be getting a whole bunch of healthy foods and a Deep and Delicious cake. They are delicious...

You and me both, the ones with the stripper hair, make up and tan, and then they walk to the dance floor with their knees bent/bandy cause they cant walk properly in some pitiful 4.5 inchers lol, and the ones who take their shoes OFF! <-fail!

^ ugh so tacky. buy better more comfortable shoes!

another one: when you go to a house viewing (current tenants still living there) and see all the fluoro dresses and thongs on the drying rack, and a girl monging out in dressing gown at 1.30pm

UBER LOL Sorry, did you come to see my house last week??!! haha! No-one told me there was a house viewing, had washed my leopard print dress, was airing my 7 inch platforms and had a line of neon g-strings/triangle bra's on the radiator next to the front door, the landlord knocked on, the dog went bananas barking and i stumbled to the door in my dressing gown and slippers at 2pm to greet a group of shocked looking 18 year old girls and their PARENTS!!

LOL I love this thread, so funny! Im so guilty of the yoga pants, tank with no bra, uggs and nice bag look. I never dress up to go anywhere. I also HATE when guys look at me or try to talk to me out of work. Always pay with ones (which are always just thrown in my purse, not in my wallet) have a constant spray tan, nails done, and always buy eye lashes and makeup in bulk LOL, i wonder how many people see me and think stripper...

I just learned from this thread that in the UK they call a 'bathrobe' a 'dressing gown.'

I had to Google image it.

I just came back to bump this thread, and saw it had been bumped recently. I remember when it first came up, one of my favorites. I wanted to add, I noticed that OTC strippers and strippers in general own a lot of Victoria Secret Pink accessories such as hoodies (bonus points if it has sequins), yoga pants, etc.

I like the AbercRombie hoodies with the furry liner inside personally. So warm! Haha.

Wish you could change "fitch" to "bitch" on a few of them haha.

I'm guilty with the VS pink, but I honestly can't stand uggs.

*Any young girl that has a nice even tan during the winter is suspicious.
*Only having huge bills or singles, so it's a pain to make change.
*The girl at the bar that sees through every guy's bs and tries to not make eye contact with any of them.

Went to have a drink with a girl after work last week (day shift) and realized I had worn a baggy tshirt and sweatpants with my snow boots to work. Whatever. This was of course coordinating with my $800 Gucci bag.

Not sure if other girls do this, but I wear my hood up a lot if I am wearing a coat or hoodie. No staring for free! Come to the club..

Off duty strippers always have their toes done nicely, even in the winter, even if they aren't going on vacation. Non-strippers will have all kinds of chipped nails in the winter.

White girl in a weave store.

LMAO that's me...add goth girl in a weave store accompanied by glaring goth boy in a trench and sunglasses.

When you're at the laundrymat and a very young child sees your "work attire" and exclaims "Mommy why isn't your undies sparkly like this lady's?" Mother glares at you.

When you go to Dollar Tree stocking up on nail polish, makeup, and baby wipes, buying about $100 worth of assorted goods.

- The hip swivel walk... I catch myself doing it unconsciously.

- The girl in the bar who tells guys to go away; conversation resembles this:
"Can I buy you a drink?"
"No"
"Aw come on why not?"
"Because I don't want one and have no interest in being obligated to talk to you in return"
"*butthurt mode* You don't even know me, that's cold"
"Yup and I don't want to know you. Now go the fuck away."

Pretty funny when these poor schmucks aren't used to being shot down. My one friend will literally go "Shoo, shoo!" and flick her hand at them. It's hilarious.

I have seen dancers in stores, restaurants, etc. Honestly if it weren't for them saying hey to me at times I wouldn't even recognize them "out of uniform" so to speak. They are usually much shorter OTC too (it's got to be the shoes)!

One a recent cruise, watching the musical performances, they had two ladies who were good at singing and two ladies who were good at dancing. One of the dancers obviously had a classical background including ballet. The other gal, well, her movements left two options. Ex stripper or professional pole dancer.

I think I spotted one a few days ago on the subway. She was a tall thin blonde with a huge Louis Vuitton duffle bag. Tan and wearing fitted gym clothes lol.

Well, that makes sense. Though maybe that answers the question of "what was that smell" after one dance I got.

Here I was thinking maybe they were to wipe off gross guy slobber.

That too.

When you see a girl drinking coffee or an energy drink, walking down the street (usually casually dressed, with full hair/make-up and a big bag in tow) after 6pm at night ;).

Taking the train home, sitting in the flippable seats area, lady in front of my taking up too full seats, doing all her make-up with a backpack and roller bag. When she started adding glitter I got suspicious. The stop before mine is all of 2 blocks from a place and that's where she got off, clear heels and everything.

Any girl that walks around dressed like shit & looking like a zombie during daylight hours - but still walks & talks like she's the hottest thing on earth and seems natural doing it, lol.

Recently saw a girl in an electronics store wearing at least 6 or 7 inch heels, effortlessly strutting along in a flowing dress that showed off her (very) nice legs. She saw something at the bottom shelf of an aisle that interested her, so with perfect balance and natural grace, she squatted down (not bending over at all, a full squat), grabbed the item, and examined it in that position for a good long while. I had to catch myself staring and get moving lol.

How to spot a NEW dancer!
She looks poor (ragged clothes, purse), but has a cute face, long hair, and is going on a shopping spree in target.
She has big blue and black bruises all over her legs cause she hasn't grown "stripper skin" yet :)

This is me to a T :)
