All right, time for me to join this thread. Currently weigh 135...want to get down to 115ish by November...give or take some pounds because I'm planning on lifting too, so it's not all about weight. I'm going to start doing yoga at home daily, and getting to the gym in the afternoon Monday Wednesday and Friday, and in the late morning on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I'm going to try to take at least two spinning classes a week, whenever I can make it to the gym on time for them...it's tough because of my class schedule. So, I'm starting this tomorrow morning...even though I don't have class till 2:45, I'm setting my alarm for 9 a.m. and getting up to eat breakfast, do some yoga, and get my ass to the gym for cardio and some weights...legs and abs, I think.

I've just been coming across a bunch of people recently who are SO focused on a number. It's kind of sad :(

I want to see your before and after. I wish that I had taken some that are better :'(

You should start now. My husband did before and afters when he was getting back in shape and they really helped to motivate him. When you see yourself all the time its hard to tell if things are changing but the pics don't lie. Ill def be posting them. Hopefully they'll be a difference I can be proud of. So far feeling awesome and like my old self again so very happy.

I just want to stress that once you start going to the gym a weight loss goal should go out the window. You should be focusing on inches. Muscle weighs more than fat so you will see some real results and will look slimmer while putting on weight. People think that I weigh 120. I weigh 150+

Whenever I see pictures of you now my jaw like...drops. Not that you looked terrible before or anything, but you're SO much more solid now. It's a huge difference, Very impressed with you lady.

(I'm writing a long-ish PM back to you, btw! Haven't forgotten! <3)

thanks! This is from a little while ago. It isn't the best example of the move I'm trying to do but it shows off my muscles like wow.

my trainer and I are "upping it" again. I sent him pics from the "perfect body" thread that I liked (some of them were porn but he said he didn't care. Haha) and some videos of competitive pole dancing so he knows how I want my muscles of move and whatever. I'm excited to see what he has to say. I have noticed that I'm not talking as much during our workouts now. So we're definitely changing SOMETHING.

Been to the gym two days in a row now. My legs hurt like a fucking BITCH from the weights I did yesterday. According to the scale I've already lost two pounds, but I don't know how much of that is just normal fluctuation. So, I'll wait until this weekend before I really try to evaluate how much I'm shaping up.

I was planning on going to the gym tonight, but it's not going to happen. My legs hurt SO FUCKING BAD from the machines I used Tuesday that I've been walking bowlegged all day long. It probably looks like I got fucked really, really hard earlier. So instead, I think I'm going to do some yoga and stretching and try to recover so I'll be all good for gym tomorrow and this weekend.

Hey ya'll. Thought I would post as a rep for those of us who have a lil more to lose :(. I'm 5'5" & 3/4in & currently 160lbs I have a small frame and 36D's and most of my fat is in my midsection unfortunately. I have already lost 13lbs just dieting and working. I work night shift as a nurse & havent danced in a looong time due to my weight. I let the stress of working and school get to me and gained 33lbs & got flabby. The last time I was happy with my body was when I was 140 and had muscle tone. I used to be very active with dance classes, dancing @ work & I used to run all the time. My first goal is to start working out again regularly & stop making excuses. I plan to join the Y with a friend and get into some classes. Hopefully they have some in the evening on my off days. That's about all. I'll post my meals & workouts later & post some befores & afters once I lose a significant amount.

Well heres my week 3 update

Lost - .5kg (1.1lbs) again but I have a feeling this might fluctuate with water but it puts me 1kg away from my goal with still 4 weeks to go.

Workouts
3 hours and 30 mins walking
1hr body attack class (high impact aerobics)
1 hour step class
3 x 1 hour pilates reformer (weights)
1 hour yoga class

Food -
Ate pretty healthy this week but drank on 2 different night. Don't know if I can avoid extra alcohol again this week with working 3 days and going out one day.

Drank 1-1.5L of water everyday - I was struggling to drink more. I really need to make sure I get 1L in the morning.

Goal for this week: Managed to achieve the extra class goal. Goal for the upcoming week is to do this again. This week is gonna be a hard one with a lot of events and work and study on I really just want to be able to maintain my goals and not let my eating get out of control. Maybe no food after work is a good goal. :)

I've lost four pounds in the past week, and I only worked out three times: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday. I would have done more, but various things came up. I weighed myself this morning and came in at 131, whereas I was 135 last week. This is without any particular method of dieting...I just ate what I normally ate, though I was a little more conscious about it. I don't typically eat a lot of junk food anyways. I worked out again tonight, doing my usual of weights and half an hour of cardio on the elliptical. I plan on upping the cardio to 35 minutes next week, but in the meantime I'll continue with this. I also have no school this Thursday or Friday cause of Rosh Hashanah, so maybe I can actually make it to an afternoon spinning class on one of those days. Hopefully this rate of weight loss will continue, and I'll be at 127 a week from today.

Hey guys I promised Id post some before and afters... The event I was getting in shape for is tomorrow. I am 1kg or 2lbs away from my goal weight but this was my old ideal pre-implants so perhaps I can't get that low anymore with my boobies. ;D

Im pretty happy considering it was only 8 weeks of working out 4-5x/week I did have one week were I failed horribly. I ate mostly healthy but did have occasional cheats. In the last week I was pretty strict at avoiding sugar except that cupcake... ops. I plan on continuing indefinitely - staying in shape so if I see further results that I think you might be interested in Ill post em again.

Get in shape for christmas?? easy here cause its summer :D

PS Im not sucking in in these pics lol.. I have a rib cage deformity so my ribs stick out haha

Thought I'd resurrect this thread.

I did a detox last week--thought about getting one of those big expensive kits, but Mom already had an unopened box of Jillian Michaels Total Body Detox and Cleanse, so I just did that instead. Wasn't too tough...I just ended up drinking a LOT of water and constantly had to piss like a racehorse. I started off maybe about 135 or 136. After a couple days I ballooned up to nearly 139, but then it went back down. I finished the cleanse I think last Thursday or Friday, and since I got into the water-drinking habit, I've continued to lose weight. Just weighed in at 131 :) So hopefully I can keep it up.

I also bought two supplements off Amazon, the Jillian Michaels Maximum Strength Fat Burner and the Jillian Michaels Maximum Strength Calorie Control. The first time I took the Fat Burner it felt like speed, and it sure as fuck gave me energy. I just received the Calorie Control yesterday--you take two about fifteen minutes before you eat and it basically suppresses your appetite so you don't eat as much. Also pretty speedy.

So anyways, I'm hoping to be below 130 in the next couple of days--132.4 seems to be my usual plateau, so I'm optimistic since I've dropped below that.

^Nice work firemaiden. My goals changed in 2011. I am actually trying to gain weight now. Im trying to increase my muscle mass and it going very well. Im currently eating 6 meals/day and high protein. Im doing weight training 4-6 days a week and yoga or an abs class 1 day. I should take a pic now cause I look pretty damn toned. The way Im eating has been really easy to follow too. :)

I'm down to 129 now, and this is honestly 100% that Jillian Michaels Fat Burner and Calorie Control, because I didn't work out even a little bit all of this weekend. I ate like I normally eat...nothing particularly fatty, but that's pretty normal for me. Very happy with the results so far :)

I have just started a new healthy living plan as I really want to lose some inches(I say inches not pounds as i never weigh myself).
DIET:rather than count calories im gonna focus on WHAT I am eating.

So my diet will consist of:1.lean proteins like fish, chicken, turkey, tofu, soya, egg whites etc.
2.very low/fat free dairy product like milk,cottage cheese,yogurt
3.very limited amounts of high fibre carbs like oatmeal, rye crisp breads, low carb wraps
4.'good' fats from fish,nuts,seeds,avocado
5.unlimited fruit and vegetables
6.drink lots of water and green tea
7.If drinking alcohol I will only drink vokda with soda water and fresh limes

I will not eat:1.fat from animal product(or only in very smal quantitys)
2.added sugars(as in not naturally ocuring in the product like fruit)
3.excess carb and never any 'white' carbs.
4.drink too much alcohol(more than 5 drinks per night)

I am allowed to have one cheat day per week when i can eat anything i like!!

EXERCISE:I will work out 5 days per week doing at least 1 hour of cardio and lifting weights 3 times a week as well.

EXERCISE:

I have been following the plan for over a week now.i have done really well with my diet apart from drinking too much.Im gonna try and do day shift this week as i think it will be easier to say no to drinks at work.
I went to the gym 4 times last week and one of the days i missed i walked 6 miles. This week im doing better with the exercise.I ran 6 miles yesterday.Today I spent 85 mins in the gym(30 mins weight,55 mins cardio) and also walked 6 miles.

For breakfast i have been having this smoothie:

In a blender mix: 3 tbsps oatmeal
2 egg whites
3 tbsps yogurt(fat and sugar free)
2 tbsps ground linseed
1 cup fat free milk or soy milk
1 banana
1 handful frozen fruit

Also i have bought an electric steamer which makes it really easy to make healthy dinners of fish and vegetables which can cook whilst im showering after my workout.Good for saving time!!

In fact i reckon between my blender and steamer i dont even need a kitchen!!!

I have been working out on an old Nordic Track and doing lunges, trying to eat better.

My foods I have been eating...

1. Psyllium Husk (husks not powder).
2. Pineapple for desert and whenever I have a sweets craving.
3. Canned Menudo (not sure how good this is for me but I love it). And a can gives me 3 servings.
4. Eggs, essential proteins and stuff, in moderation. 2 a day max.
5. Coffee Coffee Coffee and when I can't have Coffee Caffeine Pills.
6. Good Earth Sweet & Spicy tea.
7. Chili Paste, kick starts metabolism.
8. Miso Paste soup with Wakami Seaweed (& Chili Paste)
9. Bananas.
10. Peanut Butter in moderation!
11. Baked Fish.

Things I stopped eating...

1. Cookies, Candy fast food.

Things I try to avoid...

1. Sugar, Butter/oil, Dairy.
2. Wheat.

Things I just don't eat for no reason in particular...

1. Animal Meats.

Things I try to eat with limited success...

1. Vegetables. Have been eating an occasional Artichoke, Carrot Juice, Broccoli, Fresh Peeled Garlic Cloves, Brussel Sprouts.

Some of what I am doing is building muscle so my body weight doesn't say much but I am looking better. I have seen visible results in the two months I have been doing this. Also going to try to eat more Pineapple, I hear great things about it and more importantly it prevents me from desiring bad foods. Also I think the Good Earth tea has something going for it in that it contains cinnamon which helps with blood sugar somehow.

I have been hearing about a product called Fat Fighter made by Hard Nutrition, they sell it at King Soopers and I am thinking of adding that to my list. Also I take a food-based multi, fish oil, E, D, Biotin, Melatonin at night...

At the last club where I worked we were expected to consume lots of drinks that the customers bought for us and they never had any diet stuff, just alcohol and high-fructose corn syrup. If we refused a drink we could be fired. Any suggestions for avoiding excess sugar and alcohol?

Jessie_tinydancer
02-26-2012, 04:27 PM
^did they have any soda water? What about wines? Not ideal but in that case if there was no soda water I would drink champagne probably. Cant you ask for fake drinks or really watered down ones? Any club that forces you to drink full strength alcohol and sugary drinks is fucked up... I would quit.

Just weighed in at 127.2 :) My Mom has been doing Weight Watchers and said she'd pay for my membership if I'd do it with her, and I was like, "Sure, why not?" The fucked up thing is that with Weight Watchers, they say that my lowest "healthy" weight for my height (5'5") is 120. I was like 105 when I started dancing, and weighed between 110 and 115 at my best shape, after I'd gained all the muscle from dancing. They wouldn't let me set my target weight below 120. I was like, "Uh..." Kind of pissed that the weight I was at for most of my adult life is "not healthy" according to WW, because I was hardly skin and bones. Whatever. I am determined that at the end of this month I'm going to go audition at the only local topless club I would consider working at, so I'm just going to get in the best shape I can.

Weighed in at 126. Six more pounds to go and I'll be back to stripper-shape, minus the toning which will really only come from the stripping itself. More than half of my old outfits fit--I'm really only worried about the G-strings, as some of them are too tight. But as I said, over half the outfits fit just fine :hyper:

hey i have a few tips for meals!!!
-fat free cottage cheese only has 80 calories in 1/3 cup and imho its delicious with splenda and either apples, pears, pineapples, etc. or salt pepper and tomatoes!!! and its super filling and has protein and probiotics!
-chicken ramen noodle broth to sip between meals
-super protein pancakes 1/3 cup FF cottage cheese, 1/3 cup oatmeal, 2 egg whites, 1 tbsp protein powder-blend this and make a pancake...these are pretty good and kept me feeling full for hours!
Good luck!
