Anyone here ever spend time in Prague? If so what's it like? I know that camming is legel and have recently learned that its extremely popular in the porn industry. I just want to know what the scene is like, best time of year to visit etc. I'd like to plan a vacation.

I spent about a week in Prague a few years ago. It was very cheap to stay at a hostel there, food was cheap, and it's a fun city. I was there in late May/early June.

I love going to Prague cause the Czech Koruna is so shitty that a 100 USD translates into a HUGE stack of bills and you instantly feel like a Boss!!! Also everyone speaks English and the disc techs are open forever!!! I considered moving there as well a while back but I have not cammed there only worked in Porn. As you mentioned there are a ton of porn studios there shooting stuff. You have to be careful though because a lot of the Czech girls feel obligated to do whatever the producers ask and so the producers think everyone gonna work that way. Had to explain to more than one producer exactly why I wasnt going to do a DP scene if the guys were switching holes. So gross! But again this is not an issue if your only going to be camming. I say go for it. I think Max time you can stay on your Visa is 3 Months (dont quote me) so I would aim for the Spring, Summer or Fall cause that is when your going to get a lot of bang for your buck.

Oh my god thank you! Yea I would only be camming and most likely if we go it won't be until May 2018. I have a Facebook friend who lives there and she sends me all of these really cool pictures. Over the years if I ask her a question about a movie scene she'll go to that location and snap a picture for me. I love how spooky and creepy some of the old buildings look. I love horror films and European cities go really well with that genre, I think. :)

Prague is so beautiful! And if you can, try visiting Berlin and then taking the train to Prague or vice versa. There's a bunch of gorgeous castles nestled in the hills on the train route between Berlin and Prague. I might be a dork who like long train rides when most people just take a plane, but scenic routes like that are worth it.

When I was interested in stripping there (I'm also American) the owner didn't seem to have a problem with me being American. But I didn't fit their aesthetic, so idk how the visa process works for adult industry things. My guess is you could at least go for 3 months on a tourist visa and cam. I'm curious why Norway?
I just adore the landscape, the culture seems a fit , Hell I even think the accents are sexy. I am however going to Scandinavia for3 weeks next Summer as a vacation to test the waters sort to speak

Summer is a great time to go. Winters in Norway/Sweden are no joke. Especially if you're going further north and not staying Oslo.

I'm a Prague camgirl! Camming is legal here... well, pretty much everything is legal here. I have never taken part in the local adult industry scene, but it definitely has a big presence.

Prague gets absolutely overrun with tourists in the summer months, so fall through early spring is a good time to visit. Summer is also pretty warm/humid here, and there is virtually no air conditioning. On the other hand, everything is well heated in winter, and it's really pretty when it snows.

Like Stitches said, Berlin is close, and gorgeous. Prague is very centrally located, you can get cheap train/bus tickets to surrounding countries.

It's a fantastic city, I'm completely in love with it. Picture-book beautiful, the food is spectacular, and there's lots to see. It's Western European in values and Eastern European in how much stuff costs, so the best of both worlds in terms of tourism. The first time I saw Charles Bridge I just stood there with my mouth open like a fool. :)

I did porn there as well (10 years ago, meep!), and still have a few buddies from that time in the city. The non-pro BDSM scene is also hopping. I haven't been back for a while, come to think of it.

Also, there's this rotating statue of Franz Kafka's head that's been installed in front of the city hall where he used to work, so he can creep out the current employees I assume:

That Kafka sculpture is amazing. We may need to schedule a Euro Meetup For Cammodels! I met a few several years ago but now they all live in the US.

Anyone who has cammed in Mexico, please tell me your experiences, either in this thread or through PMs!! We are moving to Mexico this summer and I'm mainly worried about internet speeds. I know Axtel supposedly has very high speeds, currently we're looking at Mazatlan, maybe Guadalajara ?

I just need someone to assure me that camming is possible and easy there and that the internet is reliable so I won't worry so much lol.

I am sorry to Necro a threads, but since the topic is still within this thread I thought it would be alright.

Does anyone know a "cam girl" friendly South East Asian Country? As far as I can find...Thailand, South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore are anti porn; so I wouldn't be able to get any type of work visa. What about the Philapines or Taiwan? Does anyone know? I'd like to live in that region as long as I can get internet and A/C, lol.

It’s legal in Taiwan, but it’s hard to get a work visa anywhere as an independent contractor. Especially if you don’t speak Chinese, you’d probably only be able to live in certain areas of Taipei.

I skimmed the thread and didn’t see any info on SM commissions. Are US/Canadian citizens still paid at the same rate if camming and living elsewhere? Potentially stupid question, I know, but I’m wondering if the tiers are based on citizenship or physical location. I doubt it matters for those who are merely traveling, but moving residence could be a different story.

it's based on citizenship, not physical location. sm is my main big box site aside from skype and i started camming while living abroad. my percentage was based on US citizenship. i've only cammed a couple times the last 5 years from within the us, so i don't think physical location matters.

i think if you were to use your ID from a new country on a different percentage, then you'd get paid differently. if you use your US passport or other type of US ID, DL, etc, then you'd be on the US percentage.

^^Me Too! I have lived in Europe since day one I signed up with SM and they base it on my Canadian Passport and I get to have the money paid to Cosmo because my address is overseas so really you can have the best of both worlds.

Yep, US commission, USD. I just updated my new address and SM said it was fine.

Now does it show your listed location or your physical location on site? So if I am a American but living in say Prague would I show up as Czech or still a American model?

Yeah this is the part that sucks is that you are now listed as the location you are in. Then a lot of guys will say "wow you sound just like an American" It really blows their tiny fucking minds that you might be an American living outside America :D

A long time ago I thought about contacting liz to see if I could change my listing to Canada because Im Canadian but I never bothered to do it. I dont know how important it is for most sites but on SM it does kind of suck to not be listed in the North American crowd.

Same! Lol. It's really annoying to answer those questions. But I also wonder if attracting customers from other regions is helpful with the time zone difference (at least for my situation, it's a big difference from Europe to the US). And I always wonder if companies will care that I'm working abroad... I'm hesitant to tell support that I'm traveling. Probably overthinking it.

I'm leaving London in a few weeks, maybe scandi will have better net my landlady here drags her feet (including ever being on time to collect rent waiting daysssss) and didn't upgrade me from 0.74mbps upload to 10 until 4 months after I moved in. Glad I paid her the final month. Nords, please have decent net. I always go to nomadlist to check.

So I ended up choosing the Balkans for 1 yr. Literally just left 2 weeks ago. Internet was great, food, culture. Kept my apartment. Back in London until Spring. Internet is SUPERRRR fast at this hotel. It's not cheaper at ALL but I love this city. The Balkans were really cheap/affordable so glad I moved there and will be back in Spring. I should've worked more but don't regret not not working. London will DEF make you werkkkk haha.

Does your hotel have a kitchen in the room for you to save by cooking your own meals vs eating out constantly? I'm trying to think of ways to lower my food costs since mine doesn't have a kitchen in the room, only a microwave downstairs bleh

Try an instapot. It changed my life. I mean, I have my own apartament, but since I got the instapot, my oven and my stove are kinda retired :)))

You can sautee the food in it, before you put it on pressure cook and everything cooks faster. For example, a chicken soup can be ready in about 30 minutes. There are endless instapot recipes over the youtube.
And the device itself it's cheap. About $100.

I lived in the Bay Area for a few years until I got sick of seeing my whole paycheck go to rent and groceries and taxes! I moved to Texas in January right as AB-5 hit California. I still miss the bay dearly, but I am LOVING the price point of living here. I still want a middle-ground between CA and TX, so I'm looking into Colorado or somewhere east in the next few years :)

Nah,

It's a 4 star with a restaurant. It has a mini fridge that they fill with snacks but you're on your own. I'm next to 50 upscale pubs and plenty of restaurants so it's not necessary to cook. However I do miss cooking for myself so I'll be out of here in the next few weeks and in my own apartment. I only eat 1x a day to watch my consumption, though. Try eating 1x a day or stocking up on salads. Do you at least have a mini fridge? You can get a ton of microwave foods and save money that way.

Yep we have a microwave downstairs in lobby area and a fridge in my room thankfully. I have been trying tobonly eat 1 huge meal a day to save on $$$ & it worls so far unless i get munchies later in the night. Im not crazy about microwave food tho lol it doesnt usually fill me up the same as a good cooked meal would.

I've always thought Ireland is really beautiful, and have seriously contemplated relocating there for awhile... but the logistics are a lot to think about... Not to threadjack this topic but if you are away from your "homebase" and staying in different states or countries, can you use an accountant in a different location to file your taxes? Basically can you file your taxes from where ever you are at the moment for your home base?

living in cancun now, if it wasnt for covid i would be back in my favorite paris apartment with crazy fast fiberoptic on vacation for 2 months.
i am planning to visit -- athens (less than 500 euros a month for a furnished airbnb with fiberoptic), rome (also cheap) ect.
i plan to travel to 2 places per year.
the longer you stay on vacation the cheaper it gets.
its cheaper to stay 1 month in sicily during the summer than it is to live in the usa.
my costs are so much cheaper.
food in europe costs way less, transport is way less ect.
my airport in cancun mexico has flights to europe for 700 $ round trip .
i wish covid was over so i can travel around like i used to.

I've not given up on my dream but it's definitely been sidetracked by this year's debacle and as soon as it's possible again I'm out of England for good.
