The UK is an utter utter shitshow. I bitterly, deeply regret coming back here. I have spent thousands and I'm depressed as fuck. I wish I had stayed in Thailand, and just used a fucking VPN. My child is really angry and playing up since being back too. :( FML.

For Vegas , you can rent a furnished room for $800-$1050 range I'd say month to month. You can poke around on furnished finder .
It's a tricky place due to hotel price spikes on weekends and any large events.

Is webcam legal anywhere in Asia?

Is webcam legal anywhere in Asia?

I don't think so. All the asian countries have super strict internet porn laws, whether streaming, having toys in your possession, or even accessing for simply viewing.

I think there are a couple of provinces/states in India that have legalized camming, but that's about it.

I read an article where a long distance couple that were having skype sex were taken to court in Singapore, but it was later deemed ok because they were a couple and the virtual sex wasn't being paid for. I think there's a Singaporean guy that had an only fans account that's now serving jailtime there as well.

during the pandemic, lots of local Thai people started only fans accounts for income and they are now being legally prosecuted now.

even in dubai escorting is highly illegal, full of escort agency everywhere ;D;D even streets are full of girls. what you read about is never what is in real. this is what is.

we were actually discussing the same, same but different thing for Thailand/Asia on page 12. Many Asian countries are full of escorts too and the people don't care for the strict pornographic laws either. of course, we can go do what we want regardless of the law. however if we are arrested for breaking such laws, ignorance is not an excuse to be set free

Yep, true, but they are there because someone allow them, aka, corrupt authorities that are being bribed by some sex trafficking groups, for taking a blind eye. Evberything happens with authorities consent, because they take a big share of the pie. You, as independent, will be busted immediately, because you're not under that kind of umbrella. You will actually be their scapegoat, basically showing you as an example of how "strict" they are.
Yes, I also see instagram models from my country, all day everyday back and forth from Dubai, taking selfies and stuff from private jets and expensive hotel rooms, pretending to be on vacation. Yep, we pretty much know who own those jets and who pay for those hotel accomodations and for WHAT. Those girls aren't busted because they offer services to the rich men of those countries, who basically make the rules, lol. so, they are pretty much under their protection.
That's the sad reality...

Thailand is a funny one because when I was there a lot of Thai's who would happily walk about in a 'Pornhub' shirt haha. I'm not sure they understood it exactly, but ya know. Also, in some of the biggest sex hot spots (Pattaya, Bangkok) escorts and sex is readily available. The Thai gov isn't stupid, they know it goes on. I reckon they are paid off. Sex toys were also for sale where I used to live on market stalls. I saw a few dildos there.

I think it's 'illegal' by name, but actually enforcing it is not. I'm not there are ladies on there who do, and have done to Thailand to cam and live there very happily.

Sending you both PM's about Albania!

Bumping this thread!

I spent a year in Albania, didn't need a residence permit due to being American. My rent was $250/month for an awesome 1 bedroom apartment on a hill overlooking the capitol city.

It's very much a developing country, but the capitol and the vacation hotspots have areas that are really nice.

I'm SO tempted to return to the Balkans, and am curious what others are thinking about post-covid digital nomad life.

The last place I lived was Belgrade, Serbia, where I opened a business for my online Tarot/life coaching work, and rented a 5 bedroom house in the suburbs for $400/month, with my 2 dogs.

The biggest caveat for the Balkans, IMO, is the bureaucracy and the pollution. But I spent 5 years in Eastern Europe, and it was the best decision ever, for truly getting settled into an online career and having some adventure!

Hey babes, its meee I'm still here thanks to you! Though currently overseas. I got a Vila in the city that I love. I'm paying $1500 a month for everything but its worth it and I live my neighborhood and neighbors. Made a ton of American and Albanian friends that have come over in the last 3 yrs Come back! Ill be back in a few months. I miss my bed, lol. Will be buying real estate and getting my residency when I get back

My partner and I are off to Albania (6 months - 3months at a time ), Montenegro (6 months- 3months at a time ), and for holidays Athens, Rome, Madrid, Thailand, and Singapore for 2023.
Anyone have any tips for Albania and Montenegro for non-Airbnb monthly rentals or is Airbnb better? We've already booked our first 3 months in Tirana through Airbnb ;D:D
So excited!

I've cammed in Panama, Mexico, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia. I've holidayed in Costa Rica but never worked.
My partner and I were looking at Ecuador this year but decided to stay in the Europe area and do a bit of Asia for holiday. Plus we have both already been to Ecuador before meeting each other

I use this map of the global fiber optic cable when in doubt then look at areas near the entry point or try to find the country's fiber cable map too.

https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer?mid=1NYCH-PD8KWYhx5yzxRnB_teVZCzSBAeg&ll=-1.456674779055269%2C-79.80729522584686&z=9

ETA: you can live in Colombia for a year if you time it right. that's what I did! last 6 months of the year and first six months of the following year. all you have to do is hop out for a little holiday somewhere before the end of the year and arrive back in Colombia after the 1st of Jan. at the 90 day mark of each year just go into the immigration office and extend for an extra 90 days, no hassle. so if you get there at the beginning of July, you'll go at 90 days. When you get back in Jan, you'll go around the beginning of April, assuming you're doing a short holiday, like a week, someplace outside Colombia

the rents out there are super cheap, santa marta and cartagena are amazing if you're into the beach vibe. medellin is great for climate. the peeps are SUPER friendly and Colombia is the Latin American camming capital. lots of places have a great fiber connection

I would ADORE a cost run down of Albania such as your housing and rough food costs estimates.

for sure! although our rental costs will be higher because of the short rental periods. my partner has a UK passport so he doesn't get that same year US passport holders get. but hey, we'll get to see more countries that way!

anyone have recommendations for equipment travel insurance without the health insurance?

I got a great deal through my current health insurance company for annual worldwide coverage, but they don't do equipment.

laptops and microphone + interface are really all I need coverage for, but I keep finding combined coverage online and not just equipment

Rent is tricky and depends on if you're okay with new buildings vs old and your budget. My friends found a place with a panoramic balcony, 2bed/1bath, old building, elevator only works half the time, and a little outside of the city for €300 a month. Other friends have new building, city center, elevator, €600-700. Old buildings dont have elevators and it's not rare to pay €400 for a 7 floor walk up bit Albanians pimp out their apartments so they're usually updated inside, only but modern.

And of course short term rentals on airbnb are double so it's not rare to see you're paying €600 a month but on centuries it's €300 long term. I found a place for $18-25 a night during covid with smart technology, studio, smart locks, modern.
Or €700 for 2bd near the pazari I ri.

If you're bougie-luxe and want to be dead center, near the malls, shopping, busy square, want a house vs an apartment, or an upscale apartment it'll run you €1200-1500 which to me is still cheap if you're used to living in expensive cities like DC or NYC, Cali.

Food is very affordable. You can live off of $50 a day if you like upscale restaurants, sushi, Indian. Or, if you'd rather cook groceries are super affordable (I pay $5 for 1kilo of sausage, $13 for 1 kil of fresh caught shrimp), broccoli bundle $2, water $0.70 for a whole jug. $0.20 for 1ltr of water,, Soda cans $0.40.

Most midrange to high end meals out $30 or less. And if you're on a tight budget $10 a day will keep you full. Byrek with meat or cheese and spinach is like $0.70.

A pita/gyro/suvlaki/sufflage is $2 packed with meat, fries, sauce, veggies. Or, a gyro with a Greek salad and cola is $4. I grabbed a 1ltr of juice, uncooked kebabs from the deli, swiss cheese, butter, $8. Internet for 100down/30up is $19 a month. $28 for 100 down/50 up. Cheapest in Europe and super fast with zero issues. No disconnects, No clients have complained about my stream in 3 yrs lol.

always such a wealth of information!

a few questions, please:

what's the best way to find fully furnished/equipped monthly rentals not on airbnb?
are there signs put up on the properties or do they get listed to another website?
also, is having a contract or deposit expected?

when we go to Albania for our subsequent trips, it would be great to find monthly rentals (w/o contract or deposit) to stay in and keep the costs lower than airbnb

over here in Georgia, it's pretty easy to find monthly rentals without contract or deposit for low cost. ours is 450, modern, and amazing mountain views

Usually you can go onto the expat sites (I'll link you them privately) and some people there are renting without Airbnb or rental agencies who will go month to month. I was able to negotiate monthly rent from Airbnb hosts once I booked a reservation. They are the only ones who won't ask for deposits. Century21 and Remax asks for 1st month, deposit, agency fee, and last month's unless you negotiate with the owners but they all want contracts. There's always someone willing to rent but they are going to want a contract. Albanians are about their coin and many expats unfortunately dip out or trash a place so contracts are necessary due to them virtually being able to vanish and Albs are without legal protection. There are many Airbnb hosts who will gladly pencil out months on Airbnb to let you pay monthly without paying a deposit or contracts since they already have your info.

Lol...my partner and I are actually looking at adding more countries into 2023 with the added weeks we are going to start planning for off cam income this year, 6 extra weeks for passive income work/holiday flex on top of our 4 week holiday! gonna keep things open and see where we end up and see how warm we can stay through out the year and/or see if we can work exclusively passive income in some additional countries in I wouldn't normally be able to live cam (like south east asia and leave camming lights/outfits/strapons in storage someplace we come back to, but not sure where yet for this year!).

but this 42 work week year is going to be a model going forward with future years. can't wait to see how many countries it takes to fill up my passport this time and if I fill it up before it runs out. I have the 52 page one now and got it in 2019 after that one ran out of pages (I'm not sure if that one was the 52 page one or not...it's the passport I had when I originally left the US to be a digital nomad in 2010). this passport will defo have some more interesting stamps than the last one! although I was surprised going through TIR passport security, it was just a scan for certain passport holders and no stamp is actually physically placed in the book. Will be passing through the land border at least once or twice this year, so hopefully will be able to get a physical stamp of it that way
