can anyone tell me how I edit my offline tip settings?? I want to be notified for any tip amount but I can't fucking find it anywhere
Click on "MFCMail" from the left side of your profile manager. It's below "Model News".
Below the messaging area, you'll see a gray title bar. In the title bar there are drop down options to turn on notifications for offline tips over 100 tokens and/or daily updates.

thanks.
Now I can't find a thread on it but I have a question about Skype.
Skype has evolved and is not really just a calling service anymore it's more like snap where u can share pics and instant messages with ppl who add you or follow you.
Do girls generally just sell Skype shows or are we selling our usernames now for those extra services? A lot of members on mfc are asking about Skype and are finding me on there but do not buy Skype shows. Are you models charging tokens for usernames so they can message/follow u there or ? Just stick to basic Skype shows?

this is one of the many reasons i deleted skype. most people who try to use it are cheap or scammers. especially those who search and find you without asking for your skype name. if they were going to spend any money, they would have contacted you on MFC. i got TONS of guys finding me, not telling me who they were on mfc, and skype calling over and over saying shit like "answer call, skype bb, i have 2000 token for u, plssss". or they'd try to chat me up on there all the time for free. yeah, right.. anyone who contacted me on skype without telling me who they were on mfc and paying me first got insta blocked.. a lot of them don't want to pay and don't want you to know their MFC username for a reason because they are shady

I realize that and understand but it's a highly sought after service and I'm jw because I see models selling Skype but not clear if they're selling Skype shows or just for members to have their username? You can set privacy settings in Skype so no one can search u up. So am just wondering how ladies are doing Skype nowadays

i've never seen anyone sell their skype for anything besides prepaid shows for certain blocks of time. the only other thing i've seen is like "skype dates" where you watch a movie or just hang out for a while, usually as a prize for a raffle. i think for a one-time or monthy fee to share pics/vids and chat most girls use snapchat for that.
i know it's super sought after i hate it :( i figured i HAD to give in and do it so i tried for a while.. but since i deleted my account and stopped offering it i've been making way more money just doing privates/true privates.

I really like the idea of having PM's completely off on MFC. A fellow model told me it's made life easier for her, and so I tried it. I like it. Lol. If guys have something they MUST say privately, they can send an MFC Mail, say it in a tip note, or go private and tell me alllll about it. Haha. I just don't like this foolishness where guys think it's cool to PM you "Hey" the minute they pop online. They say you're online working. Just talk in the chat, dammit. Stop thinking you're some special snowflake that needs my one-on-one attention for free.
The "How much to get on your friends list/PM you?" guys wind up being more trouble than they're worth. They tip you that one time (for the privilege of PMing you to death), and then hardly any more after that.

Click the 'Options' button, and then click the 'Chat' button. Where it says "Accept private messages from," be sure to UNcheck the box next to Top friends, friends, models, premiums, basics. Then click Save.

MFC is so unpredictable. It's like when it's good - it's amazing, when it's bad - it's freaking awful. Some nights I make 3000 tokens, others I make 100 tokens. My camscore goes up and down like a yoyo too. 1000... 700... 2000... 1200... 800... 1000 At least it keep me on my toes! I think it's cause the majority of my friends list regs live in different time zones so it's hard to get a regular group of guys in my room even though I'm consistent with my hours. I'll keep cracking on though!

I'm back on the MFC train! I cammed there for a couple months a few years ago, but my life went wonky and I quit camming.
I decided to start camming again and spent ages reading through this thread and the CB one and tried my hand at CB first (but oh my gooood its is soooo slooow. I made like $7 in 5 hours there.) Now I've invested enough energy into there that I've forgotten half the stuff I read in this thread.
But CB went down today for several hours so I quickly finished up adding my id docs and hopped on MFC. Within a few minutes someone tipped my entire topless goal!
So my plan for this week is to finish up my new model status on CB and try to hit payout, then never look back as I invest the time into building a nice profile for MFC and re-reading this thread so I can best utilize my remaining 9 hours of New Model status.

Hi im new and i want to start camming asap on mfc, but i have a few questions, can we play music in our room? on the contract it said or at least what i understood is that we can't use copyright material, but im always seeing girls with background music or even charging guys to pick the song so idk... and the other thing, i want to make a really pretty profile but im also wondering, all the images that we use must be copyright free? im sorry if all this has already been answered before

Okay I officially love MFC more than Chaturbate. The people are quieter, but they're so much more likely to tip.
Today I had someone tip 150 anonymously because they liked my legs. Plus I locked in a great regular who makes a pretty decent room helper.

I hate that damn PM Viewer feature. It pisses me off. Lol. If you don’t wanna chat with me in my CHAT ROOM like a decent person, log outta your premium account and just watch me in guest mode.
Now that MFC has a kick button, I’ve started kicking the guys who continue to lurk forever after I’ve said hi at least twice.

Tried this site for a few days and LOVED IT! BUT, I am devastated. I gladly would have left my main site for MFC. I was making awesome cash and had a shit ton of traffic and really awesome guys in my room until my "New Girl" tag wore off after 10 hours. I went from making $90+ an hour on MFC to $8 an hour if even that. I just broadcasted for an hour and a half and didn't make 1 token, not one :( :( I am so sad! I LOVED MFC but I just can't even with the traffic pulled away :( I can't afford to lose money like this.
Did all of you MFC girls go through this in the beginning? How did you get back up after they ripped away the New Model tag?? Keep in mind I am a high earner on another site so I am experienced and have no problem pulling down cash and am used to a certain $ amount per shift. My main site is just fucking all the models over right now to keep more of our money in their pockets so I'm trying to find another revenue stream. I no joke LOVE MFC and the set up - the dudes are nice and have been VERY helpful....I would gladly stay but I can't afford to lose hundreds of dollars a day :(

^^ yeah, it seems like everyone deals with that sudden slump when "new" status wears off. you just have to try a bit harder after that. it sucks but you either sink or swim from there on out. around that time i got a good quality prize wheel to play games, it helped a lot.

Well this sucks ass because I KNOW I would do well there but I'm trying to buy a house so I can't go from making $300-$600 a day that I'm used to and WAS making with New status on MFC to $8 fucking dollars in 4 hours.
I KNOW it takes time to build a following but I was making my normal daily goal with New Status so this is a HUGE blow! 10 hours is NOT enough time to establish a proper following. It's just not....
It's a shame they don't extend that New status. Takes your whole new status time period just to get the basics on how everything works so you are flailing around and then once you get the basics down they pull your traffic.....
In all my 17 hours broadcast I only had to kick one dude, nice (for the most part) bunch on there :) Enjoy ladies!! Maybe I'll try again when I have some extra time to kill and don't mind sitting around on there.

i don't know what site you're used to, but MFC is very socially oriented.you need to be fun and creative, no matter what you look like. the girls who make the most money aren't always the ones who look like barbies or who are willing to do the nastiest stuff. it's weird but it's like a strip club online where guys wanna hang out and make a connection. i mean, think about how many guys make tons of money but are too awkward or don't have the time to hit up a real club/go out. they just want to hang and have fun and be entertained by hot women. there's more to it but that's just what i've gathered and i've been doing pretty well on there for 4 months

That was what I enjoyed about the site - the social aspect of it and the ability to be myself and be creative. My current site is very PVT oriented and getting these guys to talk/do anything fun really is like pulling teeth. I've tried giveaways/raffles/etc on my current site and it's like it freaks them out. They just want to see girls laying in beds and typing I guess. I'm one of the more chatty/entertaining models on my main site which is probably why I do so well there, so I know I would do well on MFC. Besides that, my pussy gets wrecked on my main site with all the damn PVTs and on MFC I'm not pushing myself to cum every 5 minutes which is nice! I can actually chill with them and have nice sporadic cums.
It's all good though, I LOVE MFC but it's just not a good time for me to allow that kind of a dip in my income atm. I'll come back when I move and get settled next spring and try to phase into MFC and out of my main site. I do love mFC for many reasons but it's just bad timing for me I guess :) If there was a longer New Model tag I gladly would have taken it and ran with it and just stayed the fuck on there! LOL

That is correct, 10 hours. Theoretically you can lose your new status while broadcasting.

On MFC, the viewers have the option to decide how long the new tag lasts. Under settings, there is the option for "Models are NEW for: Never, 3 days, 7 days, 14 Days, 30 Days, 60 Days, 90 Days." It seems logical that they mean calendar days. The default option is 7 days, and I assume most guys don't think to change it.

Where is this written? I dont see it the MFC wiki that could use an overhaul. Is this from a customer account? I signed up ions ago and I'm pretty sure the new model tag was longer than ten hours. I just cant remember how long? If only I knew then what I know now.

I think you have the right idea if you want to treat this as business. It takes time to build a new fanbase. But the traffic is there and Ive realized that many of my old private site regulars ate on MFC as well. But unfortunately I'm in the same boat where I dobt have 'free time'. Right now there is no such thing and everything has to be calculated and planned ahead of time. Ive posted this before but here is an article by Ivy Adams My Journey To Becoming A Model On MyFreeCams (https://boleynmodels.com/blog/my-journey-to-becoming-a-model-on-myfreecams/) I think what she did was a really smart way to go about it.

Yes, but even if you aren't logged in, you can still adjust the new model settings as a guest (so even without a model or customer account, you can still play with the settings and see how they work).
PhatGirlDynomite!!!

Here's the page that allows customers to decide per account who's visible and for how long. Many sites have some form of this but what I'd like to know is if a member selects this option does that make the model more visible? Like are they highlighted, what does it look like? It turns out that the "Custom Selection" option is mentioned in the wiki, but it's not indexed intuitively. How many models even know that it's a customer choice? And even if the customers are unaware of this choice and many don't use it, is the default new model stage always 10 hours?

^^ Oops, I totally missed that option when I was exploring - I was just seeing the basic settings on the main page. Maybe I was in the wrong browser and actually logged in as a model instead of a customer? Sorry!
That makes things even more confusing... It does kinda look like the default might be 10 hours or 7 days, whichever comes first. Maybe?
Is the lesson here to just go hard when you start, but don't count on new model status because it ain't gonna last? If it's 10 hours instead of 7 days, that seriously cuts down on the amount of time one might want to spend fucking around with settings on your first broadcast.
EDIT: Wait, what are those settings even for? Does this screen only apply to getting notifications?
PinkPopcorn
10-26-2017, 10:02 AM
^^ That screen is how the customers can optimize what new-category models will show up. It's not 10 hours or 7 days, whichever comes first. The 10 hour models are literally 10 hours. I could login now with a new account, broadcast 1 hour, and do the same for 10 months (1 hour/month) and I will show up for a new model search for 10 months.

okay two questions:
#1. i'm finally back to camming after a full month off. even though i've only broadcasted for two hours and spent nearly all that time in private/true, my camscore dropped like 600 points. i knew it would drop but is it going to continue dropping more, even if i keep making good money every time i log on?
#2. this one guy is really concerned about privacy and keep asking me to delete my archived shows with him. i keep telling him that we don't have anything like that, and i have no records of our shows, only he does. is this true or am i missing something somewhere? i always thought we just have chat logs.. not video recordings (unless you record them yourself which i don't)

Let me get this straight... this model spent TWO YEARS building up a fanbase for free in the hopes that she would get a warm welcome when she started on MFC? She says she was surprised and really thankful when her fans broke her into the top 300 on her first night? I have no social media and got into the top 20 on my first night on MFC with absolutely no promotion or effort on my part. In 2 years if you are good at it and cam every day you can realistically make 300,000 bucks. What a wasted opportunity to spend that time and effort on entertaining people for free.

She was a cammodel for several years on Streamate before making the switch to MFC. While working Streamate is when she built her fanbase. One month before she made the switch from SM to MFC, she began to get her fanbase excited about the change and built up the hype for her first day. You misunderstood what she wrote. I think it's wonderful that you were able to break in the top 20 your first day, but that's definitely not something that happens for everyone. Some people make plans and others like to wing it. I believe both approaches to be valid.

I have nothing against planning, only against bad plans. Spending 2 years building a twitter fan base even offering free content in the hopes of converting them into customers instead of spending your time on camsites where the costumers already are is a bad plan and terrible advice.

She didn't just hangout on twitter and then one day say I guess I'll become a cammodel now. No, she was a cammodel on Streamate and built up her brand using social media along the way. She did these things at the same time. Some people just like doing it that way. As for Ivy, she actually works really hard and contributes quite a bit around here. You can do the same if you like, share your knowledge and experiences as a top model on MFC. I'm sure plenty of people would love to hear it. But please be careful not to knock another persons hustle because it's different than your own.

How is converting new customers a bad thing? It’s something we camgirls do all the time, especially indy models. I work on Snapchat and Twitter every day for free, but it brings in new faces who wouldn’t otherwise have found me, and not being on a paid site allows me to direct the traffic anywhere, like to IndieBill for 85% returns, or OnlyFans for paid monthly memberships (Ivy does this). It’s actually pretty solid advice. The thing is that her plan went beyond MyFreeCams, it was more of a long term branding move.

I also feel social media can be a huge distraction and it can take the focus away from actually succeeding on MFC. However, because of the way Ivy built up her fanbase, she is now free to take them wherever she wants and she knows without a doubt they will follow her and that in itself is very valuable. She also has many opportunities for multiple income streams because her following is so strong. She can sell her influence.
Even the most popular MFC model can't really bank on her fans like that or sell her influence the way Ivy can. I wouldn't diss her way of building a fan base at all.

I agree with you about giving it all up for free in the HOPES of making money. However, i watched Ivy do this and saw her go from a total newcomer, to popular on SM, to a SUPERSTAR on mfc all in under 2 years. She is brilliant in what she did, and she's always given great advice to others who want to do the same thing. So I think it's unfair and highly inaccurate to say these were 'bad plans'. Many of us who have always stuck 'where the customers already are' and not done much in terms of social media and branding are now struggling when our regulars do not come around, because we are in a sea of thousands of other camgirls, which is growing bigger every day. One thing Ivy won't ever have to do is just 'hope' someone comes along to whatever cam site she's on that day and decide to spend on her.

I agree. Engaged fans are more valuable that wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am fans.

I've been out of the loop for awhile. I'm usually a NF/Skype kinda girl but I noticed that MFC models are advertising skype shows for tokens. Is that allowed now? Is it a good way to find customers?
Thanks

MFC allows you to charge tokens in exchange for Skype shows. It's up to you to charge the rate per minute. Logically, it would make sense to charge the same as a true private, (80 tokens a minute), since Skype shows provide the same experience as a true private maybe even at more of a loss since you actually have to completely log out of MFC to provide a Skype show. With regular privates, you have the opportunity to make more money when others watch the show, with true private, MFC shows "model is in a true private" so guys know that you are busy but still logged into the site.

Hi im new and i want to start camming asap on mfc, but i have a few questions, can we play music in our room? on the contract it said or at least what i understood is that we can't use copyright material, but im always seeing girls with background music or even charging guys to pick the song so idk... and the other thing, i want to make a really pretty profile but im also wondering, all the images that we use must be copyright free? im sorry if all this has already been answered before
Girls often use copyrighted songs playing during their show up keep guys from recording their show and selling it elsewhere. Having a picture and the like in your room shouldn't be a problem even if it is copyrighted.

What do y’all think is a good token amount to require for a one-song striptease in public chat? This would be before the topless/naked goals are reached.

^^ I would calculate it at a base of 60 tokens per minute and then times 10 per minute by the average number of viewers in the room to come up with a figure and then pick a number that looks good. It’s like having a group show with peepers so I think that’s a fair way to come up with a total.

Thank you.
^What is your topless goal usually at?
Back in the day when I had a decent cam score and tipping regulars, I did 1,000 tokens 'til topless. Then another 1,000 tokens 'til panties off. Then 1,000 til oil.

I'm returning to MFC after a long hiatus. The site never really worked out for me, but I want to give it a second shot and do it right this time. I'm changing my stage name as well. I currently have a Twitter account with 1600 followers, but I'm not sure how many of them are paying customers. I have a feeling it's mostly guys looking for free porn. Is it worth it to keep the old account and change my name or should I open a new one? I kind of want a fresh start without past tweets that are more domme-oriented and attached to my old persona, but I also know it's going to be hard to find regulars on MFC without the new model tag and the social media presence might come in handy.
