How long after you usually receive a check do you ask for a reissue?

Since updating to the latest version of the broadcaster, I'm having the same issue as before with my cam only sending out 20.12FPS tops. I have a logitech C920, white balance, exposure, and gain are NOT set to automatic. Any ideas of why this might be?

I SO agree with this! :highfive: I am just going to pray that my regs find me and guys have me favorited. I will work my hours and not check placement. I have worked too hard lately to sit out and worry that too many models will be on and that I won't make money. I am not in it to win it. I am in it to pay bills.
And models with coming out of retirement just for the contest doesn't help either. They have a right to but WHY, bitch? WHY???!!!

Curious as to where this prize money comes from. Do they have a 'petty cash drawer' they take it out of? ( remember those?)
Or does SM just delay paying you, making it look like checks got lost? And make models pay fees over and over to reissue the pymts.?

Is any Tuesday before that time a viable day to reissue a check, or is there a cutoff of how long you can wait to ask for one?

Sometimes there is a delay when they just hit the header on the page to lave the room instead of x-ing out properly from the room. I hate it, like, hello? Hello???

What's the maximum time you can be in a block of exclusive? It seemed like SM kicked us out @ 1 hour 56 minutes? It randomly showed my countdown back to free chat, and then my guy logging out. Just wanted to make sure that was the issue

There is no maximum as far as I know of, unfortunately its a pretty common issue for SM girls to be kicked out of pvt/exclusive

Block sessions are limited to one hour, if u exceed this time they most probably disconnect the session sooner or later, i even misread i could be penalized if i dont disconnect myself lol, is the wording that confused me.

He probably just reached his limit for the day. An exclusive is an hour max but then the client continues to get the discounted rate if he stays beyond the block. He probably just wasnt looking at the time and hit his daily and took off. My clients do it all the time.

What should our cpu % be in the sm broadcast encoder when we are streaming? I keep seeing it jump up around 80% :( Whats causing my cpu to go crazy? Its a brand new computer too. My bitrate was around 12,000 on the ranking page but went down in the 800's. Its climbing again now tho.
here's the specs on my pc:

That shouldn't be happening. Are you downloading anything while you're streaming? Have you tried the other encoders to make a comparison? Im streaming on three sites and my cpu is only at 31%. So you getting 80% is kinda strange.

Do google voice numbers not work for SM phone calls? For me it never rings and then I just get panicked voicemails from them....lol... Kinda upset cuz one of my best custies likes to do phone and my plan has no calling mins right now. He spent like 10 min paying for pvt just watching me try to get it to work, so I feel like he might be pissed. Tonight a new custie wanted phone and GV still wasn't cutting it so I told him hold on and was adding mins to my phone..I was being conversational as I did it but the second I submitted the payment he left! Grrr..

My feed was kinda wacky last night, so I checked other's to see if it was just me.
I randomly clicked into other models room, and came across a paraplegic cam girl.
Obviously, I'm not going to out her, but I was so impressed and blown away by what I saw!
How she handled the guys, especially when one asked her to get up and bend over, was priceless.
She explained the horrific car accident that left her this way, how she got into camming, etc.
She's my new cam girl crush, for sure. Her personality is beyond charming.
She made me realize what a complainer i am How i should be damn grateful that i have the physical ability to stand, turn, twirl, bend over, even spread, zoom in for close ups, (which she explained that she can't).
*The one thing i wish i had was no gag reflex like she has acquired since the accident.
So, thank you cam goddess for making me wake up, and see the light.
I am truly grateful that you are a part of this crazy world we call camming. Im honored to cam beside you.

Yeah not thrilled about this contest either. I'll be working those days anyways simply because it's part of my schedule. More competition *sigh*. I'm also unenthused in regards to the catty crap that has attached itself to these competitions.
Maybe it will all be good *shrug* IDK..IDK. Trying to feel optimistic, but so far all I've achieved is indifference and anxiety.
If these next 2 days are like today...no thanks.
As for the missing checks. That is some grade A bullcrap. So far 2 people never got their bonus? You'd think they'd just cut it with the next check and not as an independent check.

Question -- how exactly do currency conversions work on SM? Are gold tips converted to the user's native currency? I'm pretty sure it doesn't convert my private/exclusive rates... or does it?
I'm from the US and I have a regular who is Canadian. He tipped me $100 gold the other day for a specific request (of which I specifically asked for $100 and I expected to get $35 of). So it showed up as $100 GOLD in the free chat window, and I did the request, but when I checked my earnings page, it converted to $66 USD, which I only got $23 of. >_< I wouldn't have done what he asked (or would have asked for more) if I had realized I was only going to pocket $12 less than what I expected.
I've seen this happen with a few UK guys as well, but the conversion isn't anywhere near as drastic (in fact it's better), so this Canadian instance irked me because it significantly de-valued what I thought was a much higher tip.
Edit: Nevermind. Found it on the SM help page. I'll copy and paste it anyway.
"Price of Gold-
Gold is worth different amounts depending on where the member is from. For example, 1 Gold from a US member is worth $1, but 1 Gold from a UK member is worth £1. You will be paid based on your earning % and the current exchange rate. Keep this in mind when checking your Earning Reports.
Please Note: When you are given gold, you’ll see the currency symbol but not the currency’s country. Some currency symbols are used in multiple countries. For example, if you see that you have been given $1, it may be an Australian, Canadian, or other type of $ that is worth more or less than $1 USD. Please keep this in mind when viewing your Earning Reports (which will show the converted USD amount)."
That's pretty stupid in my opinion... that means if I ask for a pre-determined gold tip for a specific flash/activity, my expected earnings fluctuate based on where the person is, something I generally don't know ahead of time.

^^ GOLD is based on whatever the guy's currency is, so if you get 5 GOLD from a UK dude, it will be more than $5. If it's from a Canadian, it will be less than $5 (although I had no idea that the CAD was so weak at the moment!). I have no idea how they handle it for seriously weak currencies. I would hate to get 5 GOLD in Japanese yen or something, only to find out that it's worth about $0.04 after the currency conversion!
Your shows, however, are billed in USD, so if you charge $5.99/min, that's what they pay regardless of their local currency.

That makes me wonder if they actually do convert currencies like yen and rupees... The conversion would be ridiculous and super unfair for the model. And if SM is only selectively converting certain currencies, then they may as well just make all gold worth the USD equivalent since that's what they're doing for private rates.

I think their reasoning is that it's very easy to list your private show prices in the appropriate currency so that the guys accurately know how much they're paying. Your US customers may see $5.99/minute, but I believe your UK guys would see your rate as 4.13 GBP.
For GOLD, though, it could get confusing if the currency was automatically USD. A Canadian guy might try to send you 5 GOLD, and then get upset that he paid 6.92 CAD without realizing how much he was spending. You can't expect the guys to do the conversion math in their heads, so in a sense, forcing them to tip in USD is asking them to pay an unknown amount. I think SM would get a ton of complaints about "How was I supposed to know that $X was THAT much in my own currency?"

Ah, yeah I see your point... I guess I was thinking about it more in terms of my free chat "tip menu", where I list certain flashes and activities and gold prices, with the expectation to pocket a certain amount. So when someone tips $10 GOLD for a boob flash, I'm expecting to receive $3.50 for that, and it pisses me off if I make less. Your last two sentences could also be reworded to apply to models, hence my frustration -- we shouldn't be expected to ask every customer where he's from in order to request an appropriate gold tip amount based on their currency rate. Like, "oh, you're from Canada? Then my tits will cost you $15 gold, not $10."

The guys have to option to pay in their own currency or have it converted to USD and pay that way so they always know what they are paying. When the pop up box appears where they have to enter how much they want to tip it will give them the option to pay in USD with the amount it will actually cost them or in their own currency. If they choose their own then we can see it except in the case of AUD and CAD because the symbol is the the same. All in all though this is so rarely a problem for me that I dont bother to check after they tip unless their name tips me off like Canuck79 or Aussiedude which is a dead give away that tips might be less then they first appear!

The bigger kick in the head as far as the currency conversion is how far off their "rate" is sometimes. I've seen it be off by almost .10. Not a huge deal when you're talking a dollar, but if someone drops a $100 Gold tip and I'm getting .10 less per dollar than what the market conversion is--- that's just more money in SM's pocket.

I'm just curious if you guys think this is connected or not...I feel like it's a little too suspicious? So, I haven't been on Streamate for about 3 years now because someone was recording my private shows and posting them on tube sites. So after months of DMCA work and in taking down all these videos and thumbnails in Google etc..I finally got everything removed. I was thinking about jumping back on Streamate but put the GEO block on in hopes that the videos don't happen. So I contact Streamate and they said my account went inactive cause I haven't streamed lived but they reactivated it..I just need to resend my ID info to stream live. This is the weird part..around the same time I did this..all of a sudden the old Streamate video shows up on a tube site! I'm thinking these were recorded by Streamate to use for promotion and when I requested to reactivate that account it..it activated an old video to push out? What do you girls think? I just find this a little too weird! I'm thinking of just contacting Streamate and telling them to delete the whole account and forget it...I know it's in the contract and this could happen..but I just wish I didn't have to worry about the site screwing me over..I would expect this from a guy capping my shows but the actual site? Just sucks! I never did gold shows because I just know u will get recorded..this was a total private that was recorded and blasted out.

@Hotmodel Opting into GEO block won't stop guys from recording your shows and sharing them on tube sites. SM does recorded our shows for promotion and it does sound like your old videos went out because you reactivated your account. If you don't want SM to post your videos on tube sites I think you can tell them that you'd like to opt out of promotion. You may not get as much traffic but by opting out of promotion I'm pretty sure you won't have to worry about your shows or you cam popping up on tube sites at least from SM's end.

Thank u blovely! So should I tell Liz I want to opt out of the promotional stuff? It's weird cause I told her I wanted to put the geo block on because I'm trying not to not have those videos pop out but maybe I guess I needed to say I want to opt out of the promotional stuff? I told her this before she reactivated it but I guess I didn't word it correctly? Hella frustrating :(

I dont know this for certain because I have never had a customer account but I dont think SM is making the conversions. From what I have seen the conversions are always exactly in line with the conversions I get from Mastercard, Visa and my own bank accounts. Also the fact that the client has the option to pay in their own currency or in USD suggests that conversions are strictly through a Credit Card as this is standard procedure for Credit Cards. I watch the Euro, USD and CAD constantly. Twice a day or more I am checking those three currencies because everyday I deal with them and if I can make an extra buck I love it and I can honestly say that from what I see in my room the conversions are spot on. I cannot see how SM is getting anything extra off of it except maybe a penny or two.
Perhaps what your seeing is a price change when a market has opened up and your still thinking of the conversion from the day or weekend before?
