Have any of you sold panties on Streamate?

Support just rejected 2 of videos for my gold club because I mention selling panties as part of a panty fetish video. I see models selling panties for gold in free chat everyday!

They really need to go over the rules and send it to support staff so the rules can be enforced consistently.

Basically what you need to remember is unless you are one of the top girls on SM (and by top girls I mean one of the 10 or so that it's in the number 1 slot when you log on) the rules that are set out apply to you 100%. Those girls (by SMs standards) are special, and a number of them are in the studio owned by SM. So, the rules will never be enforced consistently, if you factor in those girls.

I am honestly getting exhausted by hearing girls complaining about how some girls get away with this and that. Just accept that it's a fact of how SM runs things. I've accepted it, if guys in my room ask me why I can't do X,Y or Z if SoandSo can, I tell them it's because she's a top girl and I'm not and therefore she gets away with more things and they go "Oooohh, okay, well, I mean, that makes sense, but it sucks for you, doesn't it." If you want a site that lets you do whatever you want, go to MFC, otherwise, accept that some girls get special treatment, there. /rant

They could easily add a section in their FAQ stating that only studio models can sell panties, videos etc because of privacy reasons.

I'll see what support says when they reply to my email. Unfortunately there isn't an FAQ section for the rules for gold clubs. So you just have to submit & see if they approve it.

Customers wanted all kinds of things in the show I didn't want to do and they wanted pictures and video. A discount should be good enough, but to many it isn't. Then when I was going to give Gold shows another try, all these issues popped up. I know several performers who were disconnected from their show with less than a minute left. To work hard, reach your goal and not get paid would be horrible.

Amen, sista...lol. A discounted show SHOULD be enough. But suddenly, the AMAZING deal of $5 Gold for a 5 minute show isn't good enough for these guys. Don't worry about it though, Jane. No matter what, there are still gonna be guys on SM who are willing to spend $5.99/minute for exclusive or whatever price you're charging. So you just keep on doing your exclusives/premiums without giving Gold shows another thought. :)

Wow, I'm actually glad that I gave Streamate another chance yesterday and today. :) Even if I don't make super awesome hourly amounts on there like y'all do, it's still better than what I used to make at "regular jobs," and I get my money the next day. Cool.

If 35% of OUR money goes into paying that piece of shit customer service, it certainly makes me think twice about working there. The thought of that bitch getting a cut of my money to perpetuate the attitude of "models pay doesn't matter" to our clients, how unreasonable would it be for me to say "how about we don't care about your pay, fuckwad?" and promptly leave their site in favor of a site which treats us better?

If you are applying for a JOB @ streamate , its great to know that you know CS sucks and you are applying for a hourly wage gig.


If you are a model @ streamate , CS is not going to be resolved on SW. Why worry your little hearts out now? This has been going on for a few years. It is not new. No worries nothing has changed except we stream HD, encoding, gold shows , tags, Free chat custis, boobs in free chat <--- we have control over this.

We do not have control over customer support, that is not our gig, we are indy contractors that receive 1099's. It is up to the individual model if she/he chooses to continue with streamate. If it is hated so much , why drown this thread with so many debbie downers?

Customer Service has always been this way, always. What they tell customers is the exact thing we agreed to such as "disconnecting from gold shows early and not receiving the gold" MOST CUSTOMERS DO NOT WANT TO PAY FOR DROPPED SHOWS. NOT TO MENTION AGAIN , WE AGREED TO IT.

go to a movie, let the film snap almost at the end when shit it getting good and guess what? The theater eats that and issues you a new movie ticket or refund. I would feel fucked over if the theater didnt recognize that I did not get my whole 8 bucks worth and highly pissed. The pissed off custis outweigh customers that "care"

I don't really see the problem with models bashing anything Streamate-related in this thread... To me, this thread (bitching about site issues, etc, included) is still majorly informative in the sense of it all portraying much about the sites culture and overall feel. I'd certainly want to know this info as a newb.

And yes, as a model I'd absolutely worry about how the site is treating my clients, especially if they are actually encouraging them to not give a shit about the performers whose money they are getting the biggest chunk of. Yes, it seems that there have always been issues; but it just turns out that lately (that guy's YouTube channel showing CS phonecalls, plus a member of Streamate Twitter behaving pretty badly to models), there have been fresh issues regarding SM's treatment of models and customers... and those who have been affected by those issues naturally want to discuss them and / or vent about them.

How SM treats it's models and customers is important and relevant to many of us, because it affects all of us - whether we've directly been in contact with CS, Support, or not.

I've still found it interesting and relevant.. even if completely infuriating due to the nature of what's being discussed.

You can't have a site as riddled with glitches and technical fuck-ups as SM, and not a thread for SM site that doesn't cover them... Those affected by them are always going to want to bitch about them, and I'd say that's understandable. Plus they're going to want to reach out to see if those specific issues are only affecting them, to try to weigh out if it's an issue that is affecting the whole site or a problem on their end they need to fix...

I am hearing you though tempting.. I just wish SM would listen and care a little more about their issues, so that this thread wouldn't need to be so littered with upset performers in the first place.

Regarding the YouTube customer support video...

This guy had called more than once, and customer support is just that- customer support. So they don't have to address the question about models being paid because it is not the customers business nor concern. When the woman on the phone says "it doesn't matter if models are paid" she is saying that to the customer it is none of their concern. Do you really think she was saying that in general it just doesn't matter if models are paid? No, she's not saying that.

I get that a lot of customers care about the model being paid but its not up to customer support to explain to the customer why a model is not paid if a show is cut off. It's just outside their scope of responsibility and if the customer cares that much I am sure his favorite model would be able to explain to him why the system of gold shows is set up how it is. This is not what customer support is for.

I agree she could have handled this better but clearly this guy is trying to be obnoxious and upset the employees. He is directing his issues at the wrong people. Customer support probably is not given up to the minute status updates in glitches and errors because they are customer service, their purpose is for billing issues, account problems, etc. This guys beef is beyond the scope of customer service so I think it's quite unfair to purposely provoke an employee in such a way.

And, by making the CHOICE to do gold shows you accept the risk of possibly having a disconnect and not being paid. Remember also that the customer is not charged in that instance either so Streamate is also not being paid. So why would Streamate disconnect models? I hear that a lot "Streamate disconnected me". No, "Streamate" did not just choose to disconnect you. Clearly there was a connection issue between your end and theirs. If we aren't paid, they are t paid. It does not benefit them to "disconnect" you.

Not paying a model if the show does not finish is a way to prevent abuse of the gold show system. Think about how many models would "oops disconnect" if they knew they would be paid regardless if they did the did the show or not. 1 minute in and oopsie disconnect! Then they pocket money for no performance. It's a way to prevent abuse that would be rampant if there was not a system in place to prevent it. And the good thing is that you can choose to take the risk and do gold shows, or you can choose not to. It's YOUR choice.

Totally agreed. Even though it seems slow and yes, I am having people get disconnected, when I look at my hourly take it's only about 25% less than a "good week" and still a helluva lot better than my last few jobs that paid better but made me all shivvy. Working in classic chat mode seems to help, and at least stops the MFC-style tips for flashes.

I was a little surprised that the point of his call was to say that the site seemed glitchy and people were complaining on Twitter. It would have better served his cause to have contacted them about a specific incident–they can't do much without the model room info.

I also wanted to add that this guy should be careful recording phone calls. I'm not sure which state he is located in, nor where Streamate support is located, but Streamates headquarters are in Washington state so it's safe to assume their support may be located there as well. Washington state is a "two party consent" state meaning that it is legally required that both parties give permission to be recorded prior to doing so.

Well, no doubt it would have sounded like that to him, being as that's exactly what he was told. Good CS extends itself to being polite and courteous to callers, and it's more than possible to continue being polite and courteous even if a question cannot be answered. IMO it was actually the rep who came across as obnoxious. :) The guy just sounded confused, understandably.

It wasn't at all apparent to me that this guy was trying to be obnoxious and upset employees. It seemed like a simple enough question that I absolutely think Customer Support should be equipped to handle. The fact that they couldn't answer it sounds way more controversial and suspect than if they'd have been polite and answered. Or even - been polite and not answered. Instead, she reacted like he had shook up a beehive and threw it in her underwear.

When models say this I don't actually assume that they mean that maybe some random bored SM rep just thought they'd "cut the cord" on a model at any given time, maybe for I dunno.. some fun? Personally I just assume that they've followed all site steps in ensuring no problem is happening on their end, and they actually mean a site glitch is cutting them off.

^^^ Sm should make sure shows are not getting cut off especially gold shows, the way gold shows are set up makes things very difficult for models cause u work and hustle to get people to pledge and then when u about to complete the show u get disconnected.
They should bill members and allow them to re-enter the show like they do in block sessions where the model is paid still.
The way is working now ... well, i just dont want to put up with GS. When i see girls offering a 30 min or one hr GS it's making me think OMG why u do this? But who knows, maybe 'selected models' are set on the GOLD server so they dont or rarely get cut off.
By the way, there was a well known model some years ago being very loyal to a site staff, she will defend them alot and act like their spokesperson, many of you know who i am talking about & what happened between her and that site.
Now i have a deja-vu............

I used to work IT support for a big name computer company. I would get screamed at all the time for things that were 'outside our scope of support.' I would be called names and provoked by customers on a regular basis.

And I would of been fired on the spot if I had EVER talked to any customer like that no matter what their question was. I was taught how to handle all customers professionally. It scares me to death that SM support has obviously not had this type of training.

ITA! I think it's perfectly okay if she didn't want to answer or not knowing the answers to what he was asking. It was her condescending tone and snippy attitude that put him off! I feel that a lot of times when custies complain, they really just wanted to be heard and acknowledge that there's a problem.

I used to work IT support for a big name computer company. I would get screamed at all the time for things that were 'outside our scope of support.' I would be called names and provoked by customers on a regular basis.

And I would of been fired on the spot if I had EVER talked to any customer like that no matter what their question was. I was taught how to handle all customers professionally. It scares me to death that SM support has obviously not had this type of training.

I just listened to that recording. Um..hello FIRE her..She first says she has heard about no complaints, then if you listen carefully she does say she has had a "few" complaints..Well that very different from "none". Terrible customer service. She should have taken his inquiry, apologized, and said I will forward this to the tech team. End of discussion. Instead she ARGUED with the customer...yes, he pays her bills too, each and every one of them do.

I think its safe to say that by now all of us pretty much know they deny blame us and deflect the issue tho - if she said that she would be forwarding his issues to tech support then she would be admitting the problem witch I personally dont think theyre trained to do no matter what happens its the models fault never SM. I dunno how long it would take them to fix the site if it was down but maybe they should just shut the whole site off take some time to fix the problems for good if possible. They have to know they cant NOT know how buggy their site especially when its right in their face on their own Twitter with models tweeting @Streammate tech this fucking this blah blah blah

Ya'll i need some serious PRAYER right now.I get by checks through Streamate.I messed around and forgot to deposit my check .since im not living check to check for now, i wasn't in a rush to deposit it.Now I LOST IT!!!.DAMN!!!!!Now a $1000+ check is gone .My biggest fear is that someone found it and cashed it.I just realize this morning when i was looking for it, it was missing. I received it on Monday.Now its friday and im just now realizing its missing.Damn!!!!I'm such a DUMB BITCH!! shit i work hard for my money i cant imagine it just gone .I was scared to cancel it and have Streamate re-issue me another because i didn't want to pay that $25 dollar fee (i know, im greedy) but i just said fuck it and ask SM to re-issue it.Im so nervous about what their response is going to be.For example ,THAT CHECK HAS ALREADY BEEN CASHED!!!!! AHHHHHHHHH .The moral of this story is please deposit your checks and don't be a lazy loser like me.

If someone did cash it would i be able to get it back ?

^^ Sorry to hear that. I don't think someone could cash it without a valid ID. My bank lets me deposit checks with their phone APP. I just take pics of the front and the endorsed backside of the check and it's immediately deposited.

Me to Kittykrane,my bank does that also.I was about to deposit it with my phone but i thought "hey i could deposit it whenever i want so i just left it and my purse.Now its gone. :(

Sorry that happened to u, who has access to ur purse?! Since there is electronic payment available i will never opt in for mailed checks, i received checks for many years cause there was no other option and had them late or lost. there are criminal networks cashing checks even it's not theirs, there were many cases when people had their checks cashed by somebody else and in this case sites did not re-issue new checks.

BBJ never allow yourself to be so relaxed with your paycheck. I doubt someone was able to cash it.
