Ya I went back to windows 10 and going to hold onto it as long as I can after the hell I went through windows 11
Im so happy we can send mass pix and videos, now if we could just get a ppv option it would be a so amazing.
Thanks for posting your experience, I'm glad I didn't go w/11 yet

Wow no posts in ages!
I messaged Liz last night regarding the lack of notification messages we get now when we send out videos. I'm sure she won't mind me posting her helpful response..
"We have been experiencing issues with our confirmation messages when performers send media to users. Neither performer or user is receiving confirmation messages at this time. Our technicians are aware and we are actively working on a solution.
When you send videos via Media Manager/Give Video, the videos will appear automatically in the selected user’s MY MEDIA COLLECTION section of their homepage."
So hopefully only temporary. I hope so, I like to know they got the video I sent!
this is a huge issue for me. i wake up every day to dozens of ppl asking where are the vids i promised them. when i did indeed send them
it creates a lot of work for me.
thank you for contacting her and for sharing this post. very helpful fetishqueen!

Thanks roseforarose- slow streaming is definitely a concern I had! I'm not sure if changing flag would help, tbh. I mean, they can pretty much tell I'm in US, my regs all know that now, plus, I read that the ones who really want to find out our location can somehow do it through finding our our IP address, apparently can if they know how to do that??
Hey there. I use VPN.I had no problems at all, even when here girls complained they had glitches while streaming, my stream was fine. But I use cable internet and the speed is 100Mbps.
You mean they guess your state in America? You could just use geo-block and block your state.

Long time cam girl.
Friendly reminder to read the TOS.
Most of the things complained about on this thread are caused because you're breaking the rules.
Biggest one would be split camming.
It's against the rules on EVERY camsite.
(I'm a top model on Streamate. Please don't ask who I am because I will not give my personal information to anyone.)
I've tried to contact models before and when I tell them who I am they tell me to kill myself so my cam name is not something I give out anymore.
If you don't trust me, I don't blame you.
But if you want to understand SM better feel free to PM me.
I have no problem skyping with people but I will not be threatened or bullied by models because of jealously.
I worked very hard to be where I am.
I started from the bottom just like everyone else.
I am retiring in three years from camming but will remain in the industry.
I want to help but so many people on this site have been so rude to me.

It was said in the SM discord by a SM rep that split camming is not against the rules.
Though it was said that it can be bad practice, especially if people stream their private shows to a freemium site at the same time and it’s a common reason for customers to ask for refunds, apparently. So they advise against it.

"It's against the rules on EVERY camsite."
This is incorrect. Stripchat for example have written an article on their blog explaining how to stream on StripChat using Splitcam.
I can't find anything in streamate rules forbidding it so please link to the correxct part of their TOC to back up your statement.

Yes I have, 3 times in the last week I've had decent length shows with customers whose usernames I recognise but haven't seen since at least last April (when I began my current sm profile). Hopefully these latest tweeks to the site and springtime are bringing good times.
I've not noticed people on my block list reappearing but I'll keep an eye out.

The split cam is a old rule. Ancient.
Sm had a issue w models streaming the exact stream to other sites like MFC
It might be a rule for some studios nowadays but not sm directly

I’m just trying to determine what you believe we are complaining about that split camming is the culprit? Bitrate? Perhaps in some cases but not all.
Too be fair we complain about a lot of things and there are thousands of posts in this thread alone. But obviously something prompted you to post despite your negative experiences.

I don't mean to cause a fuss here but I kind of enjoy interpreting and talking about legal contracts so I wanted to contribute to the splitcam/rules discussion, even though I don't splitcam. I seem to recall taking part in a similar discussion here a long time ago but I may be mistaken or maybe it happened on another forum.
Firstly I think there are a lot of models who may not realize the Code of Conduct and Terms and Conditions are two separate documents. Here is the Terms and Conditions page, which I believe is the actual contract you are presented with when you initially sign up.
https://www.streamatemodels.com/documents/en/terms.pdf
The "Code of Conduct" (https://www.streamatemodels.com/conduct.php) is way more generalized and easy to read compared to the long boring legalese T/C document. Any easy "Control F" search will show you that the word "split" (as in "split cam") is not used in either their Code of Conduct OR Terms and Conditions.
However under Section I "Content" of the Terms and Conditions, it does say this:
"You shall not record, copy, make a video of, or in any way reproduce any of the Content appearing on Streamate’s website, including but not limited to any part or portion of a live performance. Additionally, you shall not post on another website, send to another person, or in any other way whatsoever redistribute any of the Content available on Streamate’s website, including but not limited to any part or portion of a live performance."
To me this has always been the clause that could be interpreted as "no split camming allowed", without explicitly using that language (because split camming is quite literally "copying/reproducing" your live performance on another site). It also means you aren't supposed to record and resell your shows on other fan sites, which a lot of models do and seem to get away with. At the end of the day this is the part of the contract that effectively states Streamate owns anything you upload and transmit through their site, which is presumably why your photos and live stream recordings are allowed to be used for various Streamate white label promos.
Like I said, not trying to stir anything up, simply presenting information.
If the rule has changed, or effectively isn't enforced anymore, then SM should update and remove it from their Terms contract. Otherwise, what is plainly there in the contract is what I would personally trust the most.

I posted an excerpt from the actual contract that may pertain to this discussion.
I have gotten the impression over my eight years on Streamate that you generally shouldn't put full trust in anything a random representative from Streamate tells you. I have not participated in the Discord chat but from the sounds of it, it does seem more helpful and direct than just emailing generic monkey tech support and getting questionable/canned responses. But unless I get it in writing from someone higher up like Liz, I never fully trust what an SM rep says in regards to rules. It's not that they are lying, per se, it's just that they may be uninformed.

to me all that says is if you filmed a video (i.e. a clip you produced outside of streamate/when you were not live streaming on their platform) then that video belongs to you and you can upload/sell it wherever you please, including but not limited to streamate.
that isn't necessarily the same as recording a live show you did on streamate and reselling or rebroadcasting it elsewhere.
again this goes back to what i said about their FAQ/Code of Conduct being oversimplified. the more specific language to watch out for is in the terms and conditions.
edit: i could be completely wrong here, i am just pointing out the language discrepancies

A few users you are chatting with in this thread right now are top models just like you, a few of which finished top in the contest last week in fact.
And I dont think people are "telling them to kill themselves" or threatening them as far as I know.
Also there quite a few models on here who are earning well over $150 or $200 an hour which would rank them pretty high on the site as well, but perhaps they dont share their earnings too much on the forum but add a lot to this great community.
Even outside of SM new members on SW posted i think it was $27,000 in month in camming rocks.. and I dont think people are threatening her life as far as I know.

Thanks for highlighting this. I'm deffo guilty of ignoring that the terms and code of conduct are two separate docs and I did not reread the terms. Now I have I remember thinking how in a couple of places it contradicts itself and you're right - someone with actual authority over the site would need to give us a definitive answer but I feel that the terms apply to customers and then our code of conduct and the model FAQ clarifies points specific to us.
There are 2 models who regularly rank top 50 at the moment that openly splitcam, just a few minutes in their room makes it really clear so if I've happened across it someone who works on the site surely has. Also the BS studio and their models got in trouble across the board for not muting/hiding cams when they were performing on their primary platform - surely the changes they've made mean they're now complying with streamate rules or there would have been more repercussions?

so i am tempted to fully retract my last long post, but i'll keep it up for context/discussion.
i went down a bit of a rabbit hole after clicking the streamatehelp link in Carmen's last post about video uploads. i eventually found myself at the "Performer-Studio agreement" page, and i am realizing that this (https://streamatehelp.com/performerstudio-agreement/) is not the same as the "Terms and Conditions" i initially posted. my bad.
i would love for a knowledgeable person to chime in about this because it's driving me a little bonkers. i am now wondering if the T/C document I initially linked may actually be what the customer/user agrees to when signing up, not the model/performer. if that is the case then the clause i quoted about recording/reproducing live performances can be interpreted quite a bit differently if it's being directed at site users, not models (basically telling *users* they can't record/redistribute shows, which makes sense.) but i found that page after googling "streamate models terms of service", and it is linked via the streamatemodels.com site, not just the regular streamate site, so i am honestly not sure if it blanketly applies to both models and customers or not.
however i also skimmed the Performer Agreement linked above and could not find the same language about recording/reproducing content.
section H/Ownership of Content does state "Performer hereby assigns to Streamate all rights, title and interests in all such Uploaded Content. We shall then own all such Uploaded Content, and we will have the sole discretion to use any such Uploaded Content in any way it so chooses", so what I said about SM owning/using your material for promo still stands. but this doesn't directly address the question of split cam, recording, redistributing, etc. and whether or not it's against the terms. they can theoretically "own" what we post/stream and still give us additional rights to use our content elsewhere if we so choose. but the only time the term "nonexclusive" comes up is in the separate clause about California models.
it's late and i'm tired and have had some wine so i may have overlooked it if it's there in either document. in any case some clarification would be greatly appreciated. i'd specifically like to hear from JailBird, since i wasn't necessarily trying to corroborate their claims. i just wanted to post what i remember seeing in contracts, so i am curious to see them present some direct evidence. it's clearly not as simple as just "reading the TOS" because as i've pointed out, there are a lot of discrepancies.

I was in the middle of an exclusive today ( The guy was in his truck ( cam to cam).
All of a sudden, he ended the show ( or so I thought).
He came back to the chat room and told me that he's been banned from doing shows for 24 hours, due to inappropriate comments.
I reread the exclusive chat, and there wasn't anything there.
I told him to call customer support and then message me what they said.
Has this ever happened to anyone?

The SM discord is very confusing. I'll never forget when they said you cannot/should not use the word "tip." ie. tip vibe, tip me, if you like our show please tip throughout etc. They said, "The word "tip" is an inaccurate word to use when asking for GOLD." Literally the same 2 weeks they did a contest and said our bonus was a GIFT. The word "gift" means without doing anything - you just receive the amount and gifts aren't taxed or subject to a percentage then etc. However, of course, it was not a gift as there was a stipulation based on logged in hours and earnings. Of course they took their percentage out of the "gift" and it was included on your 1099.
The SM discord is just messy. It's so messy I stopped reading it. They say one thing to one model and another to another model for the same topic often as well.

Absolutely. There is a ton of support here. Most importantly, you are welcome here. All SWs are welcome here. We are so much stronger together than as an individual. That being said, please only share what you feel comfortable sharing. Displaying earnings, rankings, achievements, your stage name etc. are not required to make posts.
Just like BigBum said, there are models that are all over the earnings spectrum that participate frequently here. With you being an experienced model on SM, sharing your experiences and general sentiment would be openly accepted here.

The SM discord is just messy. It's so messy I stopped reading it. They say one thing to one model and another to another model for the same topic often as well.
The fact that we can't use the word "tip" is so annoying. I tried to update my profile once and they removed the words "tip" and "tipping" from my bio. They said I can use the word "give" instead, but like... "tip" can be a noun or a verb. If you write something like "Big tips make me squirm!" it doesn't work if it auto-replaces it to "Big gives...!" Or saying "highest giver gets XYZ" - it just sounds bad. Plus I'm pretty sure it's industry standard language at this point to call interactive toys "tip vibes."
I love SM but I don't understand why they have to be so difficult about such simple things sometimes.

Anyone else doing shows and not getting paid for them? I just got out of a show and I haven't been paid for it yet. It's been 10 minutes now. wtf!?

^^^Been happening to me on and off for weeks, but it usually shows up when you go to your actual earnings page or the total on your main profile page. Is it there? Btw I wrote a while ago about how I had a show that lasted 50something seconds that I NEVER was paid for and I even had a screencap of the length of time they were in pvt for…. still haven’t gotten it.

This has been happening to me too and it usually shows up after a minute or 2. It's been 30 minutes now and nothing! Nothing showing on the customers end either. I'm pissed! It was like a 10 minute show! Why tf is this happening!?! This site takes waaaay too much money for these bullshit ass glitches.
I've emailed support. I can't believe this shit. Makes me want to log off for the day, since I might not get paid for anything else. SMFH.
Update- Just did a 12 minute exclusive and I was immediately paid for it. But still nothing from the other show. Freaking ridiculous.

This happened to me with an exclusive block. I made sure to screenshot as much as I could. The customer was never charged anything and of course I had to wait longer to get reimbursed because of a contest. VERY annoying !!!

this is how it's been for me. it still updates properly/on time on the main dashboard with the income total for the week, but there is sometimes a lag for it showing up on the daily earnings page. it's frustrating but i just keep an eye on it. it's never taken longer than a half hour or so to update everywhere.

I emailed Liz and she's looking into it. I hope this gets resolved and quickly. The idea of giving a free show really makes me mad. Especially because it wasn't fun or comfortable physically. These men and their weird ass fetishes. Like literally, it was an ass fetish customer! Ugh. I'm so tired of it.
