The signal strength is going up and down and sometimes when I have full bars it's still not going off. I HATE having to pretend that it's working. Lush and Ferri both doing it.

Anyone notice how gaslighty and condescending SM support is when replying to an issue days later? Every time I have issues it takes 2-4 days to hear back. During that time the issue is fixed but SM will pretend there was never an issue, mansplain things to you, then say things like "Well your account is showing 5 stars, or well the balance on your account appears to be normal." Ummm no shit, Robin. It wasn't normal when I messaged you otherwise you wouldn't have gotten a message. You fixed it. That's why it appears normal and youre 4 days late. I can see that its fixed so what's the point of gaslighting me? Just say "We fixed your issue." Not pretending it never happened and I'm somehow acting like I'm imagining shit.

A few Sundays ago quite a few posts on here about being disconnected, I experienced same, reported to Liz who reported to technical. Technical response through Liz was nothing seemed wrong, they said I usually disconnect every half hour could not see any unusual disconnects and that because I'd stayed on for 90 minutes the day before the response (this is 4 days after the Sunday) everything must be back to normal.

Anyhow new schedule thing likely won't work for me because I adjust it all the time around my other work commitments including appointments, bookings, private work. The automatic schedule will likely mislead but never mind.

Yesterday widespread internet outage in my part of the country threw me off after half an hour, was off for 4 hours my main chance day to stream this week. Some households have been off over 24 hours now, I have been quite lucky. I made a video instead, took some photos and my first Tik Tok. Quite stressful it affected other things I do and I've a few other things gone wrong in last 48 hours. I actually took Monday off everything but that's when a few things went wrong - a lot went right though including great results from a scale and air polish on my teeth but that's self car & maintenance.

Might get an hour or two in before weekend but that's me for the week until next week.

When I mentioned, "Not sure if I am supposed to contact the general SM support email or [email protected] but here is the issue..." I did get a snarky response saying, "We are helping you here. You don't need to mention you also contacted SM support..." Umm what? Ok... I guess it's a hot button topic or something.

I am getting a TON of private messages with phone numbers. I can block a member from messaging me but I can't delete their PM. How do I report the member for giving out contact information from the PM screen? Is it even worth it? I don't want to have to go to 3+ screens to report these members if it honestly doesn't do anything.

Reading about how rude support is makes me never want to reach out. The few times I've reached out for a problem, it was always to Liz who is very helpful. Its like the support team resents the people who are making them money, really bizarre.

Maybe if they communicated with us about site issues instead of leaving us in the dark, they wouldn't be so bothered by our unnecessary and annoying emails! /s

probably as this summer will be full back to normal, no covid anymore and people going to party more... travel more... spend more IMO, changed my hrs and working till 5am it works better. however i keep do some afternoon shift. summer is maybe a late night traffic?! but married people still coming to visit us while their working??? so so...

Yeah honestly trying to figure out the best traffic times atm is stressing me out! I've been doing late-night the past few weeks, which is what I did last summer, but beyond regs I've got near zero paying traffic atm. Decent amount of potentials but my conversion rate is In The Gutter.

I might switch back to evenings but those seem slow too & honestly it would be nice to enjoy the sunlight and not work until it's dark. My sleep schedule is messed up enough that I'm never even awake in the mornings lol

I think all the dudes are broke currently too :/

oh haha rude/dumb support on sm? i stopped asking them things years ago. mostly i just ignore all glitches issues and “ bite the bullet” when things get to the point i am unable to work more than 1 day or something very pressing i contact liz. but I never contact her for minor issues, as i am sure she is so busy. but as for support…. completely …utterly… useless …

Is anyone else having issues with the mass messaging? I've been using the new mass messaging system since they introduced and I never had an issue with messages being delivered asap. Now, I'm going days without getting approval. just says pending. I'll even reupload and resubmit thinking there was an issue with upload or something and I'll have 3 that say pending and never get sent...anyone else experiencing this?

Just an FYI for those with slow traffic frustrations: it's currently costing an average of $60-$140 each week, sometimes twice a week, for Americans to fill up their gas tanks. Gas is so astronomical here. Gas has increased $3/gallon since 2018/2019. Because of some truck sizes here, a good amount of people are paying almost $500 a month in gas instead of $180-ish.
Food cost in most areas with has doubled. Propane has doubled. My monthly expenses have gone up an additional $400. Not a lot of extra money going around.
Try to keep your head up and stay positive.

This is very spot on. It just reminds me how lucky I am to be a cam model. Even after all my "WAH's" and "%#$%&^% SLOW DAY RANTS", I earn more on average than most people and I don't commute, rarely leave home and don't have kids..just pets and me. So I'm luckier than most. I have some friends and they are all freaking out about this formula shortage thing and I respond with, it's been hard to find my cat/dog food so I do get it and understand it. I even had the luck to find some in the store and just bought it for them because I have good extra $$$ and they are on tight budgets..No matter what shit show is going on in the world it makes me glad I am camming along with my PT freelance. My only concern is that someday my main money maker (streamate( might go away and then I would have to bring on extra freelance but I would still cam on all my other sites. I can see caming until im in the ground. We are all lucky cam people!

ETA: i seem to recall reading this earlier in the thread however can't find it now. are we able to change our cam name? and if so, what are the consequences?

I feel this. I had a moment the other day where I just sat back and thought to myself how thankful I am for my camming job. Its just me, my boyfriend, and our new puppy. I can't even imagine having a child added into the picture. The financial and economic state of the US is abysmal and I'm so thankful most days to have a roof over my head, let alone disposable income. In 2020 I experienced a serious burnout from camming and despite it being the height of the pandemic I got a vanilla job as a caretaker in an assisted living home. I was grossly underpaid and overworked, taking care of and bathing elderly people, helping them get dressed, eat, even helping them use the restroom....I'll spare the gorey details lol. Long story short management was a joke and the work environment was toxic. All that on top of being severely underpaid, I put in my two weeks and went back to camming after only 6 months and oh my god.... I never realized what I had until I took that hiatus from camming. I value that break and learned some valuable skills in the process, but it made me appreciate camming that much more. I may not make as much as the top models but I live very comfortably and am consistently building a very nice savings account for my future. idk if I could ever not work from home again if im being honest. Lol.

You can email Liz and request your cam name be changed. I assume some guys who have favorited you or have done shows may be a little confused at first by the name change but they should realize in a matter of seconds of being in your room that you are still you, just with a new name.

changed, uhmm guys are visual. they remember your look more than your name. In my experience nothing is changed. you ll keep all your clients.

same! i wish the 2 were together so i could take them off together for a complete 2 day weekend

ETA: i seem to recall reading this earlier in the thread however can't find it now. are we able to change our cam name? and if so, what are the consequences?

In the Streamate system, everything remains the same. The only issue we've seen with models doing that is they disappear from the site listing for a few hours while the system "repopulates" them. Your favorites can still find you, you just won't be in any categories or the front page for about half a day at most.

This is all true, but sex tends to be a recession-proof industry :)

Trust and believe back in 2008-2012 - I went clubbing and drank like money wasn't a thang. I was definitely in poverty too. Anything to ease the pain. Let's hope we dull the "pain" for our fans/customers/investors/clients too.

If so, mine was a day late, due to my local post office the clerk told me my pkg was also late, (even tho I got a delivered notice).
