Thank you, Blue-Velvet.
I have signed up as a last resort. I think I am going to give it til the end of the week and see how things are panning out - in the meantime I'll just make sure I have all the stuff needed if bank transfers start up again (and just hope HSBC don't lost their patience..ahem)
I am still a bit confused about the changes in VAT. I just read through the FAQ section on AW and I still cant make much sense of it. The initial VAT charges came in when I was still in a group so I couldn't do anything about it at the time. I signed up independently three months ago. Should I have done anything else since then?
Thanks again. xx

We fully appreciate the impact this is going to have on the membership and their dependents. Please rest assured, there are no issues with cash flow or financing and there is certainly no need to signup to any intermediaries offering other methods or frequencies of payment"
AW advising people they have no need to sign up to DP perhaps?

If you're paying VAT when you transfer your money, you will need to register to stop that happening. Go to the 'Credits Transfer Request' page and scroll to the bottom. If VAT registered it'll say 'For EU VAT purposes, the consumer of the services provided by AdultWork.com is registered as'... then it'll say a name & address.

Another VAT question. A friend has just registered as self employed - she hasnt been camming very long at all. All she has is a letter from them confirming she will be required to complete a self assessment and that she will hear from them when this is required. Nothing else. Will AW accept this do you think?

AW charges 20% VAT on their admin fee. That works out to 36% (20% of your 30% deduction). If you submit the documentation they ask for, proving that you're simply self-employed, then they wave the VAT on the admin fee. It's in your best interest to do this as the extra VAT does add up!
When Brexit goes through in the next couple of years, I believe we will have to go back to paying the VAT on the admin fee as we will no longer have EU business-to-business privileges. More pressing matters to worry about now, though.

They were quite picky on what they would and wouldn't accept. I know most had to give there most recent tax calculation. She should have a UTR already so that wouldn't be a problem, just the paperwork.
Best thing to do would be to ask them directly
LolaLu
09-27-2016, 04:38 AM
Yeah she has the UTR but not a calculation because she hasnt been S/E long enough to warrant one. I will email them when this is all over and see what they say.

Anyone in daily pay need do nothing re VAT as the group manager will have put their own info in. I believe KDB's group is the same, not sure for others. If you're independent you need to supply the docs as outlined above, either tax return if not VAT registered, or VAT number if you are. Both are acceptable as proof of being "in business" as in UK no one has to register for VAT unless they earn over 83k x

I believe dailypay groups sort it for you. I know Adultworks Finest Performers sorts it. There's another AW thread, but at the moment it's mostly just people repeatedly asking dailypay if they've been approved and when they'll get their money. A lot of that to scroll through. Not sure if this link will work. http://www.adultworkforum.com/showthread.php?tid=9441&pid=85784#pid85784

awesome I'm with AW Finest so I dont need to do anything, I've not actually even declared income yet as I'm under the threshold to have to do so (2.5k) due to just starting and working very part time

The group manager puts their details in but that then means the manager HAS to transfer all credits to their own account so if the members transfer their own credits to their own bank, they still pay the VAT if they haven't uploaded their own VAT docs. I would like to think that should this be the case, the girls have decided not to register as self employed or they have been asked for their documents by the group manager who has then uploaded them so they too can avoid the VAT element.

Club dailypay also handles your VAT details for you. Never had to fill anything in.
I quite like Adultwork not having my business / personal details other than my ID. Almost had a heartattack after the Ddos attack a few years ago.

This. Once out of the EU you no longer have to pay EU VAT on your AW admin fee.
UK might invent a new digital law, but let's see how the whole Brexit goes first.

So does anyone know ... Does this mean the payonner prepaid debit card won't work now ? Thank you. X
LolaLu

Debit card will. Probably mean having to withdraw the cash rather than withdraw to a bank account until this is sorted. I have emailed them for confirmation of this
sexysusie
09-27-2016, 05:46 AM
The prepaid card and global bank transfer are both fine. Payoneer don't just use pacnet, they have other sources to use going forward. I can't confirm (maybe others can now if they've had a payment?) but i believe you can only get payments from AW onto the card regardless x

Princess_ki

I had that problem a while ago .. They only let me order a card once I had had credits in there coz I hadn't used it for so long. Wen I had credits in there I rang them and ordered it over the phone and got it fast tracked came about 4 days later . It was a replacement card thou because my last one had expired X

FYI I heard back from Paxum and they can still do WIRE transfers as well as their card facility. They just can't do EFT transfers to UK accounts right now. You have to sign up with them for a wire transfer, but you don't have to have your bank account verified to do it. Still, at $50 a pop, it would be a last resort.
Paxum haven't emailed me back yet! Anyway, they don't need to bother now, I understand the situation and I won't be paying $50 for a wire transfer!
I'm just going to hang on till AW's new processor pays me hopefully at some point this week.
I'm so pleased they've found a new processor - its not took as long as I thought it & having to just upload a bank statement is not a big deal.
Oh - what a stressful time :-\
Kristen_Krystal
09-27-2016, 07:21 AM
Fanally got a reply from Paxum but I'd already see the statement they'd put out on-line.
They too was using Chexx and EFT payments and check transfer are suspended for the time being.
They said they're everything they can to have these transfer methods available again ASAP. (I'm sure it won't take Paxum long, AW soon got sorted out)
Wire transfer is still an option with Paxum but it cost $50.
For all those who set up a Paxum account yesterday - Its a bit of blow but a least we know now and at least now you've got a back up account and you can use Paxum for other Adult Platforms like TalktoMe the phone chat platform x

Oh yeah i did read that already and completely missed that part. Oh well, all set up with payoneer AND paxum now so hopefully covered on all fronts. It's a bugger for being paid on other sites though as just heard payoneer global transfer definitely not working. So no bank payments from mfc or SM, only card :(

It shouldn't take too long to get another payment processor in place. If we're not getting paid then neither are AW. Who ever it is that takes over Aw's payment processing stands to make a lot a cash so its in everyone's best interest to get a deal on the table with terms and conditions agreed ASAP.
It will be costing Paxum and Payoneer this problem so I expect them to have new payment processors in place at some point this week as well x
It's just a big worry for who was depending on getting paid today - which a lot of people will be.
Anna_X
09-27-2016, 09:09 AM
I've just been approved for paxum now too, so those worrying that their verification screens aren't showing that they've submitted forms when they have, it looks like that's just how it is after submitting.
That's a bit of a weight off, and hopefully I can just transfer out into either account and let this weeks earnings sit there until my cards arrive.
Kristen_Krystal
09-27-2016, 09:11 AM
I suppose the worst part for AW will be finding a payment processer that's going to offer a reasonable deal with reasonable terms & conditions and not take advantage of the situation and try and shaft them!
They can say what they like about Chexx and Pacnet but they always paid out on time and their processing fee's were obviously reasonable.
AW will be looking for a similar deal that they had with Chexx
I imagine that AW has a good legal team that will be working hard sorting all this out.

When it comes to adult related transactions payment processors willing to take the risk without huge fees and restrictive t&c's are few and far between. It's not a simple matter.

I dont understand why there should be such huge risk with adult industry payments! Its probably one of/if not the largest industry in the world! Fraud goes on in EVERY industry and this PACNET thing isn't adult related so just goes to show the risk isnt in adult entertainments!

You're right its probably a very complicated matter but AW is an established multi-million pound company and they will be able to afford & have the best legal representatives.
They won't have the same problems that a new company starting out would have or a small one like MyGirlFund might have.

I think the main concern is making sure everyone who's on the "Pay roll" is who they say they are and are over 18 - They just need to cover their backs but AW's legal team will be experts at all this - They've done all before with the old processor - I'm not worrying about anything at this stage - There's money to made by doing AW's processing and quite a lot of it so someone will be more than happy to takeover as processor x

If you link your Twitter to your AW account they do automatically tweet on profile that you've just uploaded pictures to your gallery.
You just tick the box when prompted at the time you upload your new pics - I assume its the same for clips/videos.
You can only link Twitter from your AW profile though if you don't advertise other cam sites or other business interests but, you can have a wishlist on your Twitter.

It isn't quite the same, no. When you upload a video just go to your video gallery and hit the tweet button underneath it.

Can I just ask you girls is there something wrong with Adultwork. Ie cams not working properly, alot of disconnection issues as it just seems to be dead all the time now. I can also see that when i refresh the page not that many girls are busy.
