Thank YOU! I don't know why it was unchecked.
have you not been on AW for a while? It auto-unticks if you don't log into phone/cam for a few weeks.

Last week was the worst week I've had on AW for a long time - IM & Phone chat has been unusually slow for me for last 4 days.
One of my phone guys kindly messaged me to say he's not been able to get on the site using his IPhone & he emailed AW & they replied to him saying there has been an issue with the latest IOS update & it won't open in full screen & that AW are working to resolve it. They recommended using Safari for the time being.
I'm going to get back on cam tomorrow & hopefully that will be better than phone/IM has been.
*Edit
I just spoke to my phone guy again & he said it took him 15 mins to log on & top up his credits so he can phone. He said the IOS update happened on Friday & its since then AW has been quite for me.
At least AW are working on a fix for this issue so I guess other guys have also emailed them about it.

Yep, I messaged them with the same issue. The iOS homescreen app won't open since updating to 10.3. Last week they told me they were updating things this week, but the app still won't open. Works fine if you access via Safari. So fucking annoying like we need more tech issues at this point.

Just a heads up on this, you might all me aware of this already but wanted to mention it all the same.
I've been doing well selling KIK packages lately and wanted to make them more accessible to guys who prefer to use just AW. I've seen a lot of girls promoting tips for their Snap - but was unsure on the rules about promoting social media as, even if you're only accepting payment in AW credits, it could be seen as encouraging people off site.
Anyway, here's my email and response:
Hello,
>
> This isn't so much a problem as verifying I am not breaking any rules before I make a change to my profile.
>
> Am I allowed to advertise blocks of KIK sessions accepting payments in AW credits? I can't see anything specifically related to KIK.
>
> Many thanks in advance
AW's reply:
Hello,
Thank you for your email.
At this time, social media applications are not permitted to be advertised on your profile or as a sales item.
Regards
Yeah so just be aware, wouldn't want anyone getting suspended over something like this. X

I had done a small show with him before then he kept on and on emailing me about 'rinsing'. I came on a couple of times at his insistence and he never showed up. Eventually I got around to reading his feedback and saw he has negs from girls he's deliberately left bad feedback for. Lucky escape! Twat.

Yes - his user name looks familiar - Thanks for warning Susie - He's got an easy user name to remember.
I've been thinking about deleting my Twitter account too - It doesn't see to be of much benefit for work purposes, I've had a few sign up with it but not much.
I'm thinking an Instagram might be better. ;)

If you're into posting lots of pics i definitely recommend it. I just started one for my vanilla biz and it's super easy to get followers and traction on there, like twitter used to be before it died x
Kristen_Krystal

I've got out of the habit of doing lots of picture so, I must get back into taking more. I took all my pictures of Twitter recently as the only people that benefit are the free loaders - There's no point having lots of followers that don't make me any money.
I'm going to try Instagram instead - Can only try it and see.
Can you link Instagram to AdultWork like we can on Twitter Susie? x

What exactly gets your instagram taken down? It sounds like I can't mention anywhere that I am a camgirl- but I'm not sure? I have noticed twitter is getting me literally zero results granted I only started it March and only have 200 followers but still I feel like I am wasting my time.

I like IG but it's not had any benefit for me whatsoever. Way worse than Twitter. I get a tonne of guys direct messaging for chat. I've had a fair few message for shows but not one has come to anything - they all wanna pay by PP. I was considering shutting IG.
You can't link it to AW but you can put a link to it in your links section on your profile.

You can't link it to AW but you can put a link to it in your links section on your profile.
But we can only add sites in that links section if the linking is reciprocal (and they're not regarded as a competitor like clips4sale). You can link to your own website or Fetlife, and have all your other links there. The links on your profile only show though when paying for a daily featuring.

I don't know granted I haven't been doing twitter very long..What I can say is of my 200 something followers exactly zero have converted into a sale and I get guys adding me off twitter that wanna paypal/google wallet etc scam me. If Twitter doesn't even have a 0.5% 1/200 conversion rate for me I deem it an extreme waste of my time. But I believe your experiences with instagram too. Maybe social media just isn't the way to go for this and I ought to pay for advertising once I figure that all out.

Don't get me wrong Twitter hasn't been fantastic for me either. I have managed to get a couple of regular texting packages from there but that's it. It's more about the exposure on there for me. I just don't seem to get the same exposure on IG. I am quite tough with twitter messages, they don't give me reason to believe they are genuine I block or ignore them. Simple. I certainly never give anything away. I have a select group of pictures that get reused time and again on twitter so they don't get all the wank material they want.

Happy to report that AW have finally sorted the issue with the iOS 10.3 update. The homescreen app should be working for providers and service seekers.
And yes, in addition to "Ben's" numerous other examples of bizarre behaviour, he's very into asking to be rinsed without actually wanting to be rinsed. I've had him request a "raise the rate" during a call before, only to not call back. I haven't had him on the line in quite a while, but if he pops up again, I'll be sure to put the phone down just before the 4 minute mark.

You see that's where I can't be bothered quite literally entertaining people like that, I go into my Email, Blocked Senders and then add select 'Add Nickname' and then I add their alias manually. Doing it that way prevents them from getting in contact in future (depending what items you've ticked) i.e., you can choose one or all from:
Block Emails
Block Bookings (Escort, Webcam & Phone)
Block Sales & Auction Bids
Block DirectChat Calls
Choosing this option (Add Nickname) allows you to keep a record of any email history, whereas if they've emailed you and you decide to block them via their email by selecting 'Block Sender' (at the bottom of the email) it deletes ALL email history between you. I like to keep emails (history) in case they get in contact again under a different though similar email address, for example comeletsparty2 (as I often find guys seem to do this, i.e., sign up with multiple aliases, which you block but they then appear with another one with different numbers after it). You probably know this BV but am saying it in case others may not be aware.
Also of course you can't manually add aliases in DirectCam you have to have to kick them out when they come in Cam, but that's easy enough to do as long as you remember their alias. Of course as I said above some come back time and time again with the same alias but with different numbers after it and if your busy in cam sometimes they are hard to spot.
But I always block idiots like that, the way I look at it is I don't need their custom/hassle.
p.s. And again I can never be bothered giving them the sort of feedback that susie did as if I know it will just give them an excuse to have the last word with a row of expletives aimed at me and I'm not going to put them in that position. You can see by their feedback what sort of person they are, i.e., unreasonable. No entering into dialogue with this sort of character its Block, block, block all the way.

I would never enter into a row. As you can see he was annoyed he couldn't get me on cam (because I am usually quite busy), so letting him know I had no imperative to speak to him or take his money was quite pleasurable. He'd also played the let's raise the rates game then not call back with me before. Usually idiots get no response from me at all but in this case it was a kick in the teeth for him to know a popular, busy, expensive, and sweet girl like me had no wish to talk to him :D

They are tax deductable if you put your entire earnings INCLUDING the fee that is taken through your books AND THEN deduct as an expense, but it's a faff. Easier just to put through your books whatever hits your bank.

Huge thank you to MissEgo and all the posters for this thread, it's helped me massively!
Sorry if this has been posted before but I'd like to give something back if I can:
If you like adultwork, there's another site called babestation cams using the same technology (justcamit) which you can log into at the same time.
It doesn't have free which may or may not be good for you, but it seems to have decent traffic and quite high spenders. Traffic isn't as good as adultwork, but I just use it as a second source of traffic/customers.
It's mostly all UK guys, it's run by babestation who you might already know (glamour model type company).
I signed up through their recruitment site at which has more info and rates and stuff.
Hope this is helpful to someone!

So I don't know if any of you know the answer to this ..... But I saw an accountant today .... And he has told me that we should be working out our VAT and self assessments ... on ALL the credits we have made as a whole for the year ... so 70% our money AND 30% AW fees .,. And basing our VAT on gross credit turnover ... NOT what is payed into our bank. I always thought it was what has hit our bank accounts ... But he is saying it's not ...?!

The accountants I use just go off what goes into my bank. Maybe its different if you are eligible to pay VAT? I don't earn enough to pay VAT I don't think.
I just send my accountants my Bank and credit card statements, tick off stuff I bought for work that I want to claim for & provide the receipts for the items and that's all they ask for. They don't ask to see it but I provide my AW and other site statements as well.
I can't see why your accountant should be concerned with the AW admin fee really because its not like we had to pay it by Direct Debit and we're claiming it back as an expense. It gets deducted at the time our credits get turned into taxable profit (Cash).
Maybe somebody else can help out here :)

If you are VAT registered and/or earning enough to be paying VAT, then yes, you should be putting the gross through because you need to be collecting VAT on that. However, NOT if you are an individual earning less IN TOTAL than around £85,000 gross per rolling year.
Classy_Katy
04-19-2017, 11:19 PM
Strictly speaking you would declare the gross income and then take off the AW admin fee as a business expense (not forgetting they deduct from our gross income sums for using justcamit and directchat too, and we may pay for positioning and featuring as well, so it's more than just the AW admin fee) but I suspect if you try doing that that the figures won't add up...just try it and see. It's going to come off anyway and it is simply easier to go from the money you actually receive from AW.

I love BS cams and do really well on it. Definitely comparable to AW. Like susie said it's more softcore stuff, I found fairly consistently higher spenders and guys fast become regs. The content you put into their public section is subject to marketing on their TV station (which is to be expected) but it's a great company to work for. I really like them.
There's also a new one called red light cams. Similar to BS Cams. Higher payout and similar terms.

Maybe someone here can guide me in the right direction to fixing a problem. I can't get my FPS above 15. Is that normal for AW? I don't have this issue any place else. It's 30 on every other site I'm on. It doesn't seem to matter which settings I try. It's the same whether I'm splitting or not. I wonder if there is anything I can do? Mine FPS on just cammit is usually 30 sometimes slightly over. It drops though if I've got less than 200 watt lighting or I do something like try to over expose my cam within the settings x

For some reason having my laptop plugged in and not running off the battery makes a difference. Use a wired connection too if you can. If you have an upload speed of more than 1.5mbps, use the max bitrate setting of 1.5mbps. Changing the image size can make a difference too.

My cam looks much warmer when I do whats recommended in the link. Other than that I just let Direct Cam automatically set the size of my image and I make sure I've got plenty of light either side of my cam and my FPS tend to stay nice and stable x

I find it so bewildering that everybody does better working nights. Time and time again I try to shift to nights, so that I can do uni work when I first wake up, when my brain is at its best - but I still make peanuts any time after 7pm.
When you girls say "nights", how late are you actually talking? Whenever I've tested it, I've stayed up until 2am at the latest, but are you literally working through the literal night?
