based on this email I got from the dailypay studio I'm with on AW I think we're ok

"Hi all. Reports indicate talktome.com a phone sex site has also stopped
Payoneer payouts and news just in 15minutes ago from Paxum they are to
close all US personal accounts asap so if you are in the US and have money
their try to get it out as soon as you can.

If you are paid via us to Paxum please email back to arrange alternative
arrangements. Nowadays we can pay straight into US bank accounts."

Fingers, toes, every possible crossable part of my body is crossed! I've emailed support with both Paxum and Talktome, so I'll report back for sure once I hear from one of them. Thanks for the reassurance as I've just nearly shat my pants. It's always such a grey area with me because I'm a US citizen, but live in the UK permanently (live, bank, pay taxes here). I'd get UK citizenship if I had a spare £1300 or whatever the application fee is.

I know what you mean - I get paid to Paxum for everything but C4S and AW, plus it's the only option to non-US girls for ELM and I still have money sat in there, definitely got everything crossed haha

What's with them stopping payment via payoneer?

What in the buggering fuck is going on with all the payment processors? FirstChoice loses global bank transfers and takes days to find them, Paxum lost the ability to send GBP, now this? Is there another Chexx debacle coming, or what?

Yep. Paxum has been especially shitty, as far as I'm concerned, but it sure is always something.

In other news, I've just discovered that there's a cash machine in London that dispenses USD (in Canary Wharf, apparently), so I guess I can schlep there with my Paxum card, and then find a forex place with a reasonable exchange rate. Poor people always pay with their time.

Really? do they charge for you to get the money in USD? Is it a private bank/ATM?

Really? do they charge for you to get the money in USD? Is it a private bank/ATM?

Here you go:
https://www.raphaelsbank.com/atms/atm-locations-cashpoint-compass-link/

And now you know as much as I do :)

ETA: "Q: Will I be charged a fee for withdrawing euros or US dollars from a Raphaels Bank ATM?

A: Raphaels Bank will not charge a fee for your transaction but your card issuer may. Where possible, the exchange rate and total billing amount will be clearly displayed on screen during the transaction and you will be able to cancel the transaction at this point."

The only downside is that if their cash machine eats my Paxum card, I'll have to pay to a get a new one, as the bank won't return it :-/ But I've never had a card eaten by an ATM, so I'd risk it.

Heard back from Paxum. In spite of living in the UK almost 15 years, having permanent residency status, banking and paying taxes in the UK, they're still cancelling my Paxum account because I have a US passport, so fuck them. British account holders will be fine. This is the second time in the last couple of months I've been fucked over for having an American passport. AW won't let me co-mingle in groups with UK girls and now this. Fucksake.

So I applied for a Paxum business account last night. This morning I woke up to an apologetic message from Paxum, saying they've consulted their legal team and since I'm permanently living in the UK and outside of the US, they're happy to keep my personal account open. Ten minutes later, I got another email saying my business account application had been approved, so now I have both a personal and business Paxum account. I swear you can't make this shit up, haha! Result!! :D

I thought that for a business acct you needed to be a company?

I was never sure, but thought I'd try my luck anyway. The application process was just like applying for a personal account, but in addition to supplying identification (passport) and address proof (driving licence or copy of a bill), you also have to provide your business registration number. I didn't know what to put in for half of the numbers they wanted, or what my title was (owner/director/etc), but I sent a pdf of my last year's tax return as a self-employed person and I guess that was good enough for them.

That is cool to know, we never know what to expect with these companies anyway. First was epassport and now Im always scared it will happen to Payoneer and Paxum.

Anyone else think the hourly positioning for DirectCam has gone mad lately?! Back in 2015/16 you could get first position (home page) during the daytime shift for about 2 or 3 credits, I was often on the homepage for an hour in that little cam box, but now I find myself bidding my usual 2.6 and landing like second or third row down?! Definitely used to guarantee you top row if you bidded 2 or more creds, during the daytime :-/

SylvySinclair

Now to show on the first row you need 5 creds

Thanks. Been sat for 2 hours on only 30 credits. Thought it might be broke!!

Been hit and miss since Xmas, some days crazy busy making double target and other days I've been on the top row of the freeview section and had empty room for minutes at a time which is craziness. But I suppose as long as we milk it when it's good then there's no reason to panic when it's slow, or so I keep telling myself!

Also.. Not strictly AW related but any UK girls had issues with broadband?! I'm in an old flat with thick walls etc, so wifi service not great to begin with, but today it's abysmal, upload speeds of around 0.5/0.4.. Guys complaining that my cam is lagging/freezing etc, and my FPS dropping to 10/11 ish. It's sucked :-(

Been on the phone to Sky who have told me that when they 'log in' to my router they see 1.1 upload, but obvs it drops with a wifi connection to half that! I'm in rented flat so can't go installing cables, but tempted to get an Ethernet cable to plug into router and just trail it from router to laptop (only about 10 meters)..

My only other option is to change provider, does anyone know if this usally means being without internet for days/weeks?? As I can't afford to not get online. Tempted to go with virgin, more expensive but they apparently use their own dedicated line, whereas Sky just piggyback onto the existing BT openreach line. Gah.. So confusing. Any help appreciated girls xx

Virgin are by far the fastest. They may need to install a cable though so might be worth checking with your landlord.
When I changed to virgin it switched the same day. I think it took a few hours to kick in though. Not sure if it's the same for everyone.
Definitely invest in an Ethernet cable! You will notice the difference in your upload speed straight away and so will your guys!

01-15-2018, 02:15 PM
Oh cool, that's good to know. I was worried there would be some 2-week outage or something whilst you go between providers. Phew! I'm definitely going to look into it then. Landlord reasonably laid back so hopefully won't mind. We've got an entrance on the street and then a communal hallway leading to 3 flats so hopefully it's easy and do-able!

Do you mean they installed your cable and then the changeover took a few hrs? Or did you switch without any wiring being changed? It's such a confusing world, I've done enough research on internet cables etc today to write a bloody book on it :-D

Rubyfloozy

They had to drill a hole in the wall and stick a cable in. All done in the same day :-) at the time I was in a first floor flat. It was an easy transition with no problems at all!
Now I'm in a bungalow with my bf, but we switched the Virgin account over to my name since I can write it off as a business expense!

I don't usually cam in January...I expect it to be dead, so focus on other things. I've had laryngitis since New Year's, so it's just as well!

I've always been happy with Virgin...had them at my own and now here with my partner. Using an Ethernet cable is a must, even with super fast broadband.

Oh god guys, I'm really having a bad week over here. Just logged out of JCI to do a Skype show, log back in and it says

'Sorry, you cannot login from your current location as it's not possible to ascertain your country from your IP address. If you're using a 3G dongle, proxy server, VPN or other network device to mask your real IP address, don't'

FFS :-( I'm not using anything like that, I'm in UK and have always been. They've also unticked 'webcam' and 'directcam' from my profile. Trying not to panic :-(

*Edit: Just had email from Dailypay manager saying lots of members having this issue. Glad it's not just me. I've asked him to keep me updated with any clarification or fix from AW. I'll post here if I get any updates.

Me too, just kicked off, and my profile now only shows me offering phone chat, I am not using a proxy or dongle, and when you look at my Adultwork login history it is all from my IP address. When I tried to put webcaming back on my profile, it wanted me to send in ID (they already have current id for me) and set it all up again. I hope they fix the profile issue too as I dont want to jump through lots of hoops again to get it all working.

Ah thanks! That reminded me that I have one of those plug in extenders lying around.. I just plugged it in and then used an ethernet from that to my laptop and my upload has gone from 0.5 to 1.1! Amazing! That should keep me afloat with reasonable cam speeds whilst I investigate getting a virgin line put in.. :-)

I'm stuck with a fibre & copper line & Talk Talk provide my services & I get an upload of currently 4.93. I'm always wireless & connecting the Ethernet doesn't seem to increase my speeds.

If your on fibre with copper like me then which ever provider you go with will only be able to give you the speeds that line can support.

If you can get just fibre with Virgin Media then I'd go with them but I personally don't rate their customer service but if they can use their dedicated own line and offer pure fibre then I'd go for that.

If they tell you that they still will need to rely on your BT copper phone line then I highly recommend Talk Talk. They got BT Open Reach to do loads of repairs on my line a couple of years back (which Virgin refused to do) & since then my connection as been excellent. I'm very happy with Talk Talk

Hi Ladies

decided to get a new number and phone solely for work stuff. Went to update the number on AW and I got the verification text and it wont let me reply with the code the message wont send. So now I have a warning saying fix number verification. The sim is pay as you go and EE how do I go about resolving this? Also will that warning on aw actually cause me problems or suspension etc?
