Yes - I ticked it ages ago when it first appeared in my settings. I kind've wished that I didn't now because I've had picures that I thought was compliant removed & yet at the same time I can put toplless picures in my private gallery & admin will come in & mark it as non - nude.
The only real benefit of ticking that box has been when people visit my page from Twitter - they just come straight to my profile page.

So I've been on adultwork for 8 long years but I still can decided whether free chat helps or not?
On the one hard it keeps me occupied and you don't always realise how long its been since a call, also makes me feel more pro active to getting money. on the flip side its a lot of "hello hru" and saying no to annoying requests.
So wanted other peoples views on free chat or no free chat?
I have a target I have to hit every day i think sitting there waiting for calls gives me anxiety that no one will call.
I do it out of necessity now that more guys are using AW Live and therefore not reading profiles, and there is (even) more competition. Otherwise I'd only have my regulars from 3+ years ago to rely on. Aound 20 mins free at the start of my shift usually attracts at least one new potential reg (as in they've ben back already). If you are actively promoting offsite though (more than twitter) free chat probably isn't necessary.
I can't stand free, it literally makes my skin crawl. But i don't pay them any attention and i turn off sounds so i can't hear their stupid whiney beep beep until i get a ring for paid. It's easier if you're also splitcamming on another site and doing other things.

So if ticked the box it cannot be unticked I assume judging by your comment, I assume you are referring to the first tick box I mentioned...not AV.
Regarding Twitter, I have often thought about using it but I'm a bit reluctant to do so as doesn't it work on the same algorithms as sites like Facebook etc where they try and match you up with your family and friends?

Yes, the adult certification tick box in the pictures tab.
I ticked mine in March 2014 & I don't think it can be un-ticked. I'd never want to upload adult content in public anyway & that's why I went ahead & ticked it, but since I've often thought that maybe with Twitter if they couldn't see any of my pictures then maybe t5hat might tempt them more to sign up to a membership. I seem to get a lot of click-throughs from Twitter, but hardly any sign-ups. I don't know.
I worry about the same thing with Facebook & I tried to delete my account a while back & couldn't work out how to do it. If you do have both maybe use a different email, browser & device for both Twitter & FB. Twitter can also force you to add phone no - they did that to me with my latest account so just keep everything separate.
I think Twitter is probably good if you're on a big token site & you can drive traffic to it that way & then maybe have an Only Fans page to sell the token guys memberships but for AW on its own, it's not really worth the time I don't think.
TTM doesn't mind you linking your listings to Twitter & I did link my once busiest listing to it & I don't if it's a coincidence but that linked listing is now my least busy listing. But I'm not exactly a social media whizz.

Ticking this box in the picture tab is fine - it's the other one that I'm struggling to find where you limit your audience to only those who have age verified.

You can't show any nudity in any of the free to view areas if you have ticked the self-certification box. Whenever you upload a new picure an admin will come and check it. I've had a picture removed that only showed a small part of my nipple that most people wouldn't have even noticed - so definitely no topless.
I wouldn't even chance a camel toe in mine - I worry admin will delete my picture even a little nipple can be seen through my bra.

Have a look at websites like Ann Summers - they're subject to the same restriction with regards to what they can & can't show. They tend to airbrush out nipples & they seem to use some sort of modesty pad when modeling sheer panties I've noticed.
It's ridiculous to think that airbrushing out nipples will prevent men from masturbating over the pictures. I bet more men visit Ann Summers for masturbation purposes than they do to actually buy anything.

Hi Kristen
Thanks for your replies, appreciated. :b I wonder if it is the same policy re explcit style text (writing)? (in the public areas). Also for example if you write Erotica (stories), isn't one of the stories suppose to be FREE, if so, how the heck on a site like a AW can you be tame/not write sexy words! If you know what I mean.
Also if men are going to 'you know what' (masturbate as you say) then it doesnt matter a jot whether nipples etc are on show. Also some men prefer/like the lure/tease aspect, of being able to use their imagination about what might lay underneath in any case, instead of having it shoved in their face!..(isn't that why stip sets/strippers are popular?)..... I get that this is being done because of minors, although that said I thought it said all Members have to pass their age verification process... so this is where I am a complete numpty head and get confused! (altho perhaps not all and that is where they are covering their ass (in case some minors/under 18's are on the site)... as it says Jan 2020 it is compulsory).
On the subject of showing nipples (nip slips!) or a portion of them showing whether it is accidently or subtly through a see through top.... what about when 'minors' (children) go on holiday and there are topless women on the beach... or even they stumble upon those nudist beaches... which happened to me yonks ago.. tho none us batted an eyelid I must admit!
Or even the parent (Mum!) goes topless in front of the kids (hers or other folks kids!). I guess the difference is AW is a sexual site and the other is not done (or suppose to be done!) in a sexualized way, however they are still being exposed to nudity and/or topless breasts! -- sorry if this is a bit rambly, am very tired, but hopefully you get my gist.
EDIT: I didn't know that about Ann Summers as haven't been on that site for yonks but I did end up on some lingerie site the other day and did notice what you call 'modesty pads' in the photos, I did think they looked a bit strange/odd but now you've explained I realize why... sorta!!

Is anyone having issues on JCI today?
My first guy couldn't hear me for a few minutes but my video must have been fine because he stuck around, then another guy came in and he could hear me but my video kept going he said. He tried logging out and back in again and had the same problem apparently!

Heads up - not allowed to say "Urethral Sounding" on profiles
Just had the words removed from my profile. I've asked where in the ToS does it state we can't use these words. (I had to ask first what they had removed as they just gave me a splash page that said they'd removed words from my profile as they weren't allowed, and I couldn't work out which words they were.)
EDITED TO ADD: their reply "This would fall under our prohibited use section within our user agreement.

Torture with instruments? Insertion of sharp objects? I have no idea what it falls under. Certainly the guys who I've seen on cam and in real life inserting metal sounds didn't look or sound tortured or injured. The sounds I have used and seen have always been smooth polished titanium.

Someone could very easily end up injured with an infection. If it goes to the kidney & the guy isn't in great health to start with it could potentially kill him ( worst case).
Same with poppers - I used to see guys that liked to sniff then when I escorted & sometimes they'd start to turn blue - They are potentially very dangerous.
It's all about duty of care. We & our customers are still entitled to a reasonable level of it & I guess AW is just trying to minimize the risks of getting sued.
There was a horrible case recently in one of my local papers where a young woman ended up losing her life on cam due to some guy & his weirdo kinks & he ended up killing himself in jail before he could be brought to justice for her death. Her family is now trying to make changes to the law with regards to online camming.
The papers never said which cam site it was where the young lady was working but, I guess AW has to be seen to be doing something to prevent anything nasty happening.

Yes, that will probably be the same story. It also made the national news. It's young ladies family that are feeling that way & can't blame them because they're grieving, but it was a very sad story & it just goes to show really that people can be very easily manipulated into doing stuff that those who know them wouldn't imagine them ever doing.
It surprised me that the young lady who died was actually studying Psychology & had a job as a carer. She was an intelligent young woman who just, unfortunately, happened to catch the eye of a bad weirdo that it turned out was into torture porn and all sorts.
It would've been a landmark case if he hadn't of killed himself & been convicted of her manslaughter & now her family wants to clarify the law with regards to Duty Of Care on cam sites - they want the cam sites accountable to make sure nothing like it ever happens again.

Yeah I don’t blame her family, ransoms using it for their agenda is gross tho

But that's not in the ToS. If it said "No practices that could cause a fatal infection" then we would know (and would also lead to a very much shrunk Services list). AW wouldn't be able to be sued as they are just an advertising platform, it's all to do with what their payment processor and porn laws allow.

I don't see how they can...the site has rules and we're self employed. AW can sit in all of our camshows to ensure we're not breaking the TOS or law. We're adults and we agreed to abide by the TOS when we signed up. The guilty party was quite rightly the man who pushed the girl's boundaries and groomed her into doing a dangerous act. Maybe the one thing AW could do, is give information to camgirls that these men exist and what to look out for but we're meant to be responsible adults and know what we're letting ourselves in for, and AW are not our employers, there is not the same level of duty of care.

I asked on the Niteflirt thread, but I figured I'd ask here as well since a lot of us are UK residents...
Has anyone here in the UK had any trouble in the past couple of months with paying in cheques in $USD? I bank with HSBC and for the past 6yrs when I pay in a cheque, it gets "negotiated" and hits my account the next day at a fee of £12. Last month for the first time, they sent the cheque for "collection" and it took several weeks to clear at a fee of £28. It appears they've done the same thing this month as well. I'm waiting to hear back from them with regard to lodging a complaint, but I was wondering if it was just my bank suddenly being funny or if anyone else has had any issues paying in foreign cheques. It still astounds me that NF refuses to pay non-US people by cheque instead of SEPA bank transfer or Paxum or anything other than a bloody paper cheque.

They (Barclays) ALWAYS hold mine. Apart from once, where I had the shock of it clearing within about 14 hours - quicker than the UK cheque that I had deposited at the same time!

I never had any trouble until the time the bank teller put in the wrong bank account number and the people in the foreign exchange part changed it to collection and it took 8 weeks - for years I was getting my money the next day - after that I changed to SEPA direct payment, although it may have been fine the next time with the correct account number given.

I think AW are just removing everything that they are concerned might bring the site down or get them into possible legal trouble in the future
They can't be seen to be promoting anything that could potentially harm others in any way & sounding is potentially dangerous. It's not just infection but also damage to the urethra
The TOS state no practices that cause injury or harm.
We are all adults but not all adults are capable of making good choices & we have to err on the side of caution sometimes because we have no way of knowing what are customers state of minds are or what their medical histories are etc - Most people would assume that someone who wants to stick instruments down his urethra is probably not of sound mind & if he ended up dead because of his kink & it was proven that he had mental illness then the people who encouraged him for payment could end up being liable for his manslaughter - Anything is possible.

Urethral Sounding isn't even all that common. In all my years of working in the Sex Industry, I have only ever come across one customer that wanted it & it was in a real time session.
I think guys that want this tend to visit Mistresses & it all used to be kept very underground & secretive. I wouldn't be surprised if it's actually illegal already - Usually anything that can cause serious injury like whipping someone to a pulp & C&B torture is already illegal.

Returning to AW x camming after a bit of a break. I've never paid much attention to getting guys to leave feedback - but I guess every little encouragement helps. I noticed some people offer a free gallery view or movie view in return for feedbacks. Yes I'm sure this is in the labyrinth of AW help articles somewhere, but can anyone here tell me how? < 'if you leave feedback you get a pin for free reward' < thinking this could also be good for regulars who just like to watch one more clip.

I had this with C4S cheques - also HSBC - but long ago, they eventually charged me a whopping fee, would not admit it was them, said it was an 'intermediary processor'. Not an option for NF but this is why I gave up on cheques from c4s x went to direct transfer.

I didn't have any real shows on AW yesterday from what I recall. I mainly had 10 second peepers and the odd couple of people who stayed for a massive 60secs or so.
I got on just before 8am and I usually do really well on AW between 6-9am so I was surprised for it to be so quiet, I thought it would pick up after the summer holidays.
The day before wasn't too bad.

I let them carry on when they're paying me but I just don't log out of my other sites unless they reach a minute mark or say hello. If I ever venture into free chat though, I block countless people!!! They barely ever get more than once chance.
