I miss the old days. Is it me or did the site take a total nosedive since 2016, lol. I've been getting 1 short call a day, or 1 short show and logged in 4 days in a row for 3h shifts. I'll do free chat (partial face, only full in pvt) lots of interest but timewasters, and sat in paid from 9-12 noon and not a single show.
I used to do decently b4 they axed us Americans. Maybe because I have no reviews currently? I have loads of pics, over 700 views these past few days. O.o. I get its shit all over but damn...I'll stick it out though.

I'm sitting it out. It's very quiet, I'm having days without customers. But I can't justify earning 2.50 a minute for Private. Special offers, ie a day or 2 or even a week, that's fine. But not all the time.
Glad its sitewide. Thought I was losing it.

Do you position yourself? If you dont you are lost and I personally wouldn't even bother logging on with out making sure i am on the first page. It is getting pricey to do admittedly but one of those things I just suck up

I always pay for positioning and I pay the same each hour I work, I've done that all year and wouldn't change it. This month so far is dreadful but I'm sticking it out too. I think business levels each day depend on things we CAN control, and also a LOT we can't. Positioning and better visibility will always be a good thing but some days you may get a few regs in that would have found you anyway. I try to do my best to be visible and keep consistent hours but it's really tough right now. I don't have a regular price that would really allow me to take a drop so I'm hanging on. I don't tend to like hope as a strategy generally but it's that or lower prices and I'd rather not do that. Tricky times right now.

Yes, but half ass it seems. I've paid for positioning 4 days in a row but doesnt seem to net me much but views. Even today I paid for DC positioning and got 0 outside from a 5 min call earlier. That call was before I paid. I can definitely sort out a weekly/daily budget as I admit I'm not consistent with positioning. I'll admit a few times I paid and fucked off, lol. Thank you for reminding me. I really appreciate the help. I forget that bidding is crucial now days. I'll load up my account today.

I very rarely have paid for DC positioning because on the odd time I have, it's never made much difference for me. I tend to just bid the bare minimum for the phone chat instead.
Sometimes, I'll feature. I'm featured for the phone today & I've been online about an hour & not had any calls as yet or even a message.
I'm thinking AW might be better for clips. I've never made clips before & I put on a free live picture just to test out how it all works & it's getting plenty of views. If paid clips get that many views then I'd be quite happy with that.
It's definitely taken a nosedive for me since they introduced the live mobile site. It was really good up till then.

I haven't bothered with clips there since years ago but they did have a big overhaul of the video facilities. Let me know how you get on as I'm thinking I may as well put my new clips up there what the heck

I've been putting clips on there and have had a few binges but not much! Annoyingly, they remove a lot of my clips. I'm not sure the "Coerced intox FANTASY" is enough for them, unlike IWC and Niteflirt, where sticking a "fantasy" on the end seems to be enough! Not sure if it's that, or something else but, a they refuse to state the reason for the removal, I might try uploading once more with rewording but if they take it down again, I don't bother and tend to focus on sites where they sell better anyway.:sarcastic

I just checked the User Agreement and it looks like any kind of intox is not allowed. Even though you're not taking them yourself, and I guess no one else is in your vid, it's a grey area that they're erring on the side of not allowed.
"Content uploaded to the site that depicts anyone consuming illegal drugs is not permitted. Similarly, so-called 'legal highs' and 'poppers' (amyl nitrate) are not permitted and will be treated in the same manner. Content that depicts sexual acts being performed whilst clearly intoxicated will not be allowed either."
But that's *IF* the problem is with the "intox".

Ah thank you, Cat, my love. That may well be it. I've had a look, and they've left up my clips that have "aroma" in the title, as I know that's allowed on IWC. But anything with "intox" has been taken doewn Mind you, there aren't that many tags you can use on AW so they may just have to have subscribed to see them come up!

I'm only on TTM & AW. TTM has been a little slower for me than usual this week, but AW has been dead. Worst week ever for phone & IM.
It really sucks the idea of dropping rates especially for cam because they don't pay all that much to start with on there compared to other sites & why should performers take the hit for VAT. It's not our fault.
By the time you take out Admin fee's, just cam fee's, Featuring & positioning fee's & now VAT + Taxes - It hardly seems worth it anymore.
It's only going to get worse with the run-up to xmas. Now is a good time to be a new girl on a new site I think Blondie.
Have you got an Only Fans page? I'm going to start one up soon but I think being on a high traffic site & having no pictures up on the site would be the best way to get traffic to your OF page.

Check out HMRC website because if your earnings are down due to COVID you should be entitled to a grant. I think they pay out later this month x

What is TTM?
The only thing is there really isn’t any sites similar to adultwork really. As in No free necessary, paid per min with a good payout percentage. Infact I can’t think of any. The high traffic sites payout like 30% compared to Adultwork 70% and you’ve got to permanently sat in free waiting for someone to pick you to go private. It’s a lot more work but I guess I’ll have to try it if Adultwork is dying.
What do you mean don’t put any pics on the site to drive traffic to only fans? You mean don’t put any profile pics on??

This is rubbish. If your business has been in any way affected (you had covid, your customers had covid, business is down, having to work extra hours, ANYTHING AT ALL) you should claim as you are entitled. He has effectively done you out of income. (that's assuming your income HAS been affected by Covid.)

I was talking about sites like Streamate & MFC. They pay more than 30% & have lots of traffic.
Lots of Models on these token sites don't have any pictures & they all seem to sell these subscriptions to fan sites.
Adultwork doesn't pay 70% when you factor in all the extra charges we pay out now to work on the site.
TTM is Talk To Me. I do phone & IM on there & I get 50% but I think newbies start at 35% but they bring in their own traffick for that fee. I don't do any promo at all for it & it's been good for me on there.
Also, you definitely should be entitled to claim a grant if your earnings have been affected. It was my own accountant that told me about the grant early on in the year. Lockdown is bound to affect our earnings cause all their wives are at home & a lot of guys are out of work because of it. Can't think why your accountant would say you're not entitled really.
The grant is taxable though. It's classed as earnings.
Kristen_Krystal
11-16-2020, 04:57 PM
You had to have submitted three tax returns ( Been registered as self-employed for the last three years) to be eligible for the grant. I'm not sure if they're still asking for three years or not with the next grant.

Streamate pay more than 30% ?? I never knew this. I signed upto them ages ago but at that point they only offered 30% payout. Has it changed?
I’ve been paying tax since 2013 I just feel a bit wary cause covid didn’t stop me working. I work as a webcam and phone girl at home so I’d be lying if I said I was affected and my business had to close or something. I just feel like they’ll look into any fraud down the line and I’d be one of the unlucky ones who’d get caught out lol. I already know someone who’s been done for claiming the bounce back loans when their business hadn’t been effected so maybe I’m just a bit paranoid cause of that haha

I thought SM was 35% but, I don't work on it, so maybe someone else can answer that question.
If your self-employed earnings haven't been affected due to Covid & all the lockdown then it's probably best that you don't claim. But, those that have been affected, they're entitled to claim it.

So I just signed upto talk to me. They want me to do 300 mins at 0.20p (in cents ) before I can activate my account and set my own prices. Did you have to do the same? That’s so long. 20 Cents is like 15p a min isn’t it? :/ and I’ve got to do 5 hours of that ?
Kristen_Krystal
11-16-2020, 05:55 PM
No, I joined a while ago 7 I didn't need to do that back then.
If you're quite on other sites then now is a good time to put in those 300 mins. You'll soon get through it & then you'll be able to have 3 live listings on TTM & 3 more on their sister site Cougars.
You can sell pics/clips/audios & they have a Skype plug-in if you like a cam.
Your best thing is it won't cost you a penny to work on there. It's a good side site & at the moment I'm making more money just doing phone & IM on there than I do on AW.
You also get paid for mail & you can also text & guys can also tip & they do sometimes for nothing :)
I wouldn't recommend it if I thought it was crap. It's not in my best interest to recommend other sites at all.

It didn't stop you working, but it sure as hell stopped the customers being able to buy. You don't need to produce any proof when claiming, but IF you were ever asked you could just say you put more hours in because of the lockdown and fear of losing money and if you hadn't done that you wouldn't have made the amount you did. Covid may not have stopped YOU working, but it stopped your customers working, and stopped them paying you.

I do have a niteflirt profile with a bunch of listings but I didn’t get one call, then I read about bidding to get seen. I added 10$ Of my own credit and it just used up in about 10 minuites. Resulting in no calls? After that I thought it was a rip off or a scam and didn’t log back in. The thread on here is soooo many pages too so I just kind of gave up. :(

Think of it like AW where you have to position to be seen. At first it's going to cost you more to bid on niteflirt until you get more calls and then the cost will go down. Just remember to set a budget for your bids otherwise yes it will eat through your entire balance. The NF thread is well worth reading all the way through. You can make FAR more on there than on talktome.

SM pay 30% to some countries, 35% to others
tbh tho, people get really hung up on the % paid which I dont think is overly important. The prices on SM are higher than say AW to cover for the low %, Im happy to earn a lower % for a lot of traffic, which SM has!

I personally would be super wary of claiming money from HMRC during COVID. Its not that easy to actually prove that covid has caused a loss of earnings. I've had great days and shocking days but thats normal for any year. I think its gonna bite a lot of people in the ass who have claimed and then have HMRC look into them.
I have mentioned many times I have been the subject of a investigation and it was one of the most violating times of my life and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I actually looked up how much i would be entitled too and its not a lot and i declare every penny and have done for a while.
Yeah covid probably has affected us. but its not as clear cut as a hair dressers for example.

A lot of Cam models rely on getting hair, nails, botox, etc. Not being able to maintain yourself will affect income for some models. I couldn't get my roots done for months!
With HMRC, you self-declare that Covid has had a negative impact on your business ( not as many customers ) is one of the examples that they give.
HMRC will know if anyone has been fibbing about lack of earnings when you submit the next tax return.
Please don't spread fear about claiming grants. Even if you usually earn say between 3 & 4 grand a month & during Covid you're now earning about 2 grand a month. You're still entitled to claim because you've lost out on income.

That's not true...check out what it actually says on the Gov website. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/self-employment-income-support-scheme-grant-extension/self-employment-income-support-scheme-grant-extension
To be eligible for the grant extension self-employed individuals, including members of partnerships, must:
have been previously eligible for the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme first and second grant (although they do not have to have claimed the previous grants)
declare that they intend to continue to trade and either:
are currently actively trading but are impacted by reduced demand due to coronavirus
were previously trading but are temporarily unable to do so due to coronavirus
The affect of coronavirus on your earnings can be direct or indirect.

same here.
I’m not spreading fear krystal. That’s what I was told by my accountant. We are self employed webcam girls, every month and every year our earnings fluctuate so to blame it solely on covid might be a bit of a stretch. Imo it’s more down to the vat increases than covid. Having everyone in lockdown made more people join only fans / do camming so not sure how that suits the narrative.

I keep spreadsheet of everything that I make.....Yup it sucked not having my lashes done but i wore magnetic ones for a few months, i found nails didnt make a difference for me at least and i wear wigs anyway.
My earnings have been constantly from this year to last year. I dont work more than 10 hours a day as I work set hours.
Its not spreading fear its just saying to be careful. If i didnt make my daily target I would work longer hours. The beauty of our work is that you can work as many hours as you like. It is hard to prove to HMRC that you have worked the same hours on less money. Its each to their own.

I claimed. I had to change the hours worked and last month has been really slow. I am working more to compensate. There isn't a detailed criteria only that you are worse off. There was no school either so I suffered there with kids home. Covid is why its so quiet now its people having no money to spend.

What about the HMRC grant? You won't have to pay that back (although it IS taxable). You can claim that from the end of this month.
