Negative feedback can be removed completely if it's unjustified..??!! x

I don't think so. I've had negative feedback left by someone who then, right afterward, did a chargeback and AW refused to remove it when I emailed them. However, if you have tons of positive feedbacks, no one cares about a negative one.

PrincessJenny

But if he does a chargeback, everything can be refunded. I've had a tip refunded via chargeback

Yep, The unless fraud bit at the end would mean if fraud anything can be refunded, as its fraud. Although if this member accepted say a webcam booking for the payment, the member can easily say it didnt happen (as its done off AW's system) and get their money back. At least with a tip the only thing that can have it refunded is fraud.

4 minutes if I remember correctly.

Oh, well that's good then. Most rude fuckers don't even stay in paid chat for 4 minutes.

Missymissdemeanour

Not sure if it's been said in this thread before but when you go to 'my feedback' and see a neg, you have the option to dispute it, the neg than shows as a dispute and it gives you a chance to have your say as well and this is for everyone to see ;)

4 minutes if I remember correctly.

Edit: Just seen Vlodina's response :)

Another way neg feedback can be removed is if both members agree to it. eg if the client had a hissy fit and done it out of bad temper, he can "cancel" the bad feedback at a later time.

I was on the AW site and I couldn't find any FAQs. They don't seem to have a customer service number either or email. I need to know if they allow you to block specific areas/states and is this mainly a UK site? Thanks.

MissKatie
01-07-2012, 11:32 AM
Yes it is mainly UK customers although there are girls from allover who work there. The FAQ's are here - "Help" tab at the top of the page. There is no customer service to speak of LOL, although if you have an issue with anything you can click on help, search for a topic, and when you close that smaller help topic window, there is an option to send them feedback.

PrincessJenny

They allow country blocking, I dont think state blocking is a feature as its UK based as mentioned.

I have been trying to sign up for AW but for some reason my verification pics have neither been accepted or denied and it's been over 48 hours. How long should I wait? Free chat sites are terrible right now and I can't wait around in free chat any longer.

I've been sitting here for several minutes waiting for a 2 minute video clip (82.3 MB) to upload to AW, and it's only at 36%. I am pissed off! I was able to open up other sites in Google Chrome tabs, so I'm still connected to the 'net, but it's taking FOREVER for this to upload. The only thing I have running is AW, the AW upload window, and this forum.

Earlier today I tried to upload a clip, and my damn internet got disconnected in the middle of it. SMH.

PrincessJenny

82mb for a 2min clip is really big, thats nearly dvd quality.

Having a large streaming clip may slow sales as it will take the clients computer longer to buffer. It will increase sales if the file is downloadable.

It's at 97% now...lol. I just cancelled it though. When I get back online a little later, I'm gonna resize it and upload it all over again, because this is just ridiculous. It shouldn't take THIS long to upload a video. Thanks for responding, Jenny. :)

Hi, Ive recently started using Justcamit on AW, could someone possibly tell me:

(1) How I kick someone from the room.

(2) How once in private cam I can stop the cam if I need to stop it before credits run out or client hits stop button.

Can't seem to find any instructions for it anywhere.

Thanks

Vlodina
01-19-2012, 10:34 AM
1) Right (click on their name) and you get kick for 1 hour or permanent kick (1 month lol)

2) Have you tried logging off?! :-P Alternatively shut down the JCI window, or kick the person out, or pull the plug on your router.

xx

This thread (and the MFC, AW, SM, and C4S thread) should stay on the first page. :P

For the first time, I recently placed two 'custom photos' listings on AW, and I couldn't believe how quickly they were purchased. :) One guy bought 10 custom pics, and a different guy bought 20 custom pics. I wanted to keep the listings up there as a continuous thing to be available, but I'm not sure if that's possible. I'm just gonna continue to place those listings and hope that more people are willing to pay for custom pics. Prior to posting the listing I had to use the converter thingy to determine what x US dollars would equal in GBP, and I had to keep in mind that I'd be getting a percentage of what the guy paid.

RebeccaT

On AW, I think if you put 10 available then the listing remains until you've had 10 sales

I have a question (and I'm posting the same question in the C4S thread). When you ladies use Windows Live Movie Maker to edit videos, what settings are you using when you click 'Save Movie'? I've been trying to avoid using the 'For Email' setting because it says the video display will be at (426x240 pixels), which is pretty small. And of course the higher you go up, it shows the different options and gives you an estimate on what the file size will be per minute of video. I didn't see much info on this forum about this kind of stuff, and I've checked the C4S thread too.

I realized that some of my video clips were a bit larger than necessary in file size, but at the same time I don't want the clips to be too tiny and shitty-looking. By the way, when I record on my Logitech C910 webcam I use widescreen 720p resolution.

hey girls I just wanted to say I'm new on Aw but I like the customer base and the freedom of it. That said
I realize there arent supposed to be questions on this thread, but I am wondering if any of you had problems getting your money from payoneer. It is showing that I spent credits. OR do you need a minimum amount in order to transfer it to your payoneer credit card. I've only done one show so far, but I made 100 dollars from it that I can't access. ?? other then that, I like the site.

I hope this isn't a repeat question, apologies if it is.

AW pays out to European bank account so I assume my UK account is fine. The site asks for the BIC. Is this the sort code or the first six digits on the debit card? (They're different numbers) I've been using Payoneer but would like to switch to bank transfer.

Thank you

PrincessJenny
01-23-2012, 07:07 AM
The BIC is neither numbers. If your bank accepts IBAN transfers (most do) then the number will be on your Statement, near the IBAN number.

The BIC and IBAN numbers are made up using your sortcode and account number, along with your country code (GB) and bank code.

If you cannot find your BIC you can phone your bank or PM me and I will send it to you.

Also note the IBAN number is not your account number.

Am I able to offer SMS on Adultwork now?
I know it was suspended for a while so I couldn't even register for it but it's just allowed me to register. However, on profile pages, the "more info" bit next to the text box says it's still suspended.

If you're on DP, are you taxed on the amount before PJ takes her cut or the amount after she takes her cut?? I just need to know how much to put into savings each month. Thanks.

MissKatie

Actually I don't know... be interested in the answer to this too. Its after AW's cut I know that much.

housewench
01-27-2012, 12:53 AM
Usually you're taxed on the after-fees, but I know in the US you can deduct the total amount of the fees because it's a job-related service

:D Business expenses!

sammii
01-27-2012, 02:07 AM
So you're saying we'll be taxed on the amount before Pj's cut?? I hope not. I heard Payoneer takes enough as it is.

GlamourRouge
01-27-2012, 02:43 AM
You get taxed on the amount BEFORE PJ's cut when it comes to AW. When it comes to SM, you get taxed on the amount AFTER PJ's cut because PJ handles all your money & payments. In the case of AW, PJ is only the distributor by proxy, but the total amounts you made show up BEFORE PJ takes her cut rather than AFTER like on Streamate.

Basically, whatever the company has record of you making is what you have to pay taxes on. For AW, its all your earnings BEFORE PJ takes her cut, and for SM (and I believe MFC too), its all your earnings AFTER PJ takes her cut, because that's the way the sites are set up.

So prepare to pay more taxes with AW since you didn't factor in PJ's 10-15% cut of your money. Then the payoneer fees on top of that, but those will happen whether you have dailypay or not (unless you request a mailed check). I had the same question & asked an accountant (my friend) and showed her how each of the sites were set up, and that's what she told me.

Thanks so much GlamourRouge!! So you just keep track of your credits on AW, then multiply it by the exchange rate and use that number for taxes? Sorry, I haven't used AW yet. Thanks again for your reply. :)

Just do screenshots here: and then convert it to US dollars.
Technically, I guess you could just report what's on your payoneer (that would be after PJ's cut) and just hope you never get audited or they never look into it.

Tax is charged after AW's, JCI's and Dailypay's fee. You dont pay tax on a business expense.

You only get taxed on Profit made. This is for all sites.

Payoneer fee's can also be written off. As this again is a business expense.

I was told by a CPA you need to claim everything they have on record for you or it can get you in trouble if you're audited. You can still deduct business expenses, but all the money that shows up as being made, you have to claim.

PrincessJenny
01-27-2012, 03:36 PM
That sounds right yeh.

AW tax:

Total income = £100
Expenses = £41
Profit = £59

Taxable amount £59.

This is a basic run down of taxes.

Then you can break your expenses down further, In the UK a total breakdown isnt needed, just a summary (I've never done it but my accountant now does it).

If I owned Adultwork I would...
-lower freechat time allowance, 2 mins more than enough.
-make freeview paid for, maybe 10p/min, just a small token
-do away with freeviews for movies and pics
loads more prob. just a little rant here.

No live links on the profile but AW is currently adding some twitter features. Not much info at the moment but when uploading a movie your able to link it to Twitter.

We should hopefully be seeing some more features regarding Twitter soon.

I recently got the biggest charge back I have ever had (on ANY site) on AW. They refuse to do anything about it, so if you AW girls want the name of this asshole, please PM me with your AW name and I will tell you his member name. I really don't want him to do this to any other girls. It almost makes me want to give up on AW, since they won't even let me submit an email (it just keeps re-directing me to the useless FAQ).

I've had chargebacks on there. A lot of girls have. And they all seem to be in the $100-$200 range or more. My last one was like $200 something. It happens. They won't do anything about it. It happens on other sites all the time too, but sites like MFC and Streamate don't penalize you for it so you get to keep your money. On sites like Adultwork or ImLive, they take it right back from you.

Did the link from the ticket help in contacting them?

I think I have seen maybe 1-2 cb's for the $100-$200 range ever (maybe just 1), and I've been paying members on there for years. AW can refund the chargeback if it was an error and they do once its been investigated but even at that, its a chargeback, what do you expect them to do about it? they just lost money. SM dont penalize you because they take 65% where as AW give you 65%.

Comparing IMlive to Adultwork isnt accurate, IMLive have cb's all the time for alot of members. AW has very rare cb's.

The ratio for cb's is greater for US members (unknown reason).

I tried to email them through the link and they wouldn't even accept the email, they just kept re directing me to the FAQ sections. I never compared AW to Imlive, ive never even worked on IMlive, not sure where you got that? And Im not expecting them to refund me, I know they don't cover chargebacks. I just wanted them to at least ban the guy so he can't keep doing this. But if they want to keep letting him steal from them, I guess that's their problem.
