Seattle is what it is. DJV or not the staff and managers have a big part in it as well, Location. Whatever the circumstance. Yeah the high house fees suck ass, but there is money to be made here.

I find it nice that for ONCE there's someone so willing to help, give advice and direction to whoever wants to come to Seattle and work.

has someone so damn positive and willing to give any

I'm really pleased at how many SW girls I have met either through this thread or who are already working with me that I've discovered! :)

Seattle and DV have their faults and strengths like any other market or company. It is what you make it. Personally, I'm offering this info out of good will as a former dancer, not out of allegiance to any company or particular club. I wish honesty and opportunity had been offered to me when I was a dancer.

I never danced in a DV club. Our clubs though are franchised and owned by a local owner, hence why our business model is a bit different.

Oh, we also abide by the rule that staff can not ask for tips, and managers are not allowed to accept them period. No house moms either.

I worked at this club last month. I flew to Seattle from Phoenix and worked three shifts their and made about $1500 working three seperate shifts. I loved the club! It is really nice looking and clean. The managment was great and made me feel very welcome. The girls were all nice and the customers were well behaved. Money was easy. Customers tipped me 3 out of 5 times. I did VIPs my first night no problem and at the end of each shift guys were lining up to get dances lol. I would go back ASAP if I didn't have school and my normal job. This is by far one of the best clubs I've worked at and I have worked in Japan, Guam and Canada and all over the US. I have been a dancer for over 10 years so when I say this is one of the best I have a whole lot of clubs to compare it too. If you have a great personality and are good looking you will do good.

Were there any Mexicans?:P

I'd love to go BringontheMen but there's no way I could swing that in a few weeks with this real job and school work. I look forward to you posting about it though!

Med, in all my travels I never got to hit the Pacific Northwest, but my stripper wardrobe glares at me from its' box and I swear sometimes I even hear it ask me when it gets to come out and get some exercise! :wide-eyed:

I think I need to put that box out of sight because reading threads like this make me wanna say Fuckabunchofresponsibility and pick up travelling again. Ah, those were the days...

Anyway, I think the point of this post was to say that if I do find myself burning up the road way on a strip trip I'm keeping your club in mind. Maybe I'll put up a map on my wall and start keeping track of the clubs I hope to hit one day with little pushpins and sticky notes LOL

Aren't you married to a DV manager from NOLA? Or am I mixing you up with someone else? If so you should know that everything isn't all nicey-nice with deja vu.

Tempest, I'm not sure why no one has ever said this to you on the forum before, but your racism really disgusts me. It's thinly veiled, but it's there. Seriously. Every thread does not need to be about how you don't like mexicans.

^^ My husband has managed both DV and non-DV clubs for about ten years.

All I'm saying is, up here it's arguably the best option to work in a DV club. The DV business model is also slightly different here than in other parts of the country, partially because

a) DV originated in Seattle
b) The DV clubs here have a local owner.

What it boils down to is this: if you think it would be a good opportunity for you, great! Get in touch with me and I'll tell you the good and the bad so you can make an informed decision. Not interested? Totally fine- either ignore the thread or don't get in touch with me. Whatever works best for you.

I would much rather work at a DJV than suck dick for $50, which is what you have to if you don't wanna work for a corporation in a corporate city.

And this here completely sums up the problem with deja vu.

Running out independent options is a problem. It gives them more power to mistreat us because by comparison, the other options are worse. Hence why deja vu and any other large chains are partially responsible for a lot of the problems in our industry.

Sunny, in Mexico, strip clubs ARE whore houses. The problem that tempest feels, is that they treat women here the same as they would in a "strip club" in Mexico. I am from TX, and I would have to explain time and time again to Hispanic customers that buying a private does not entail F-ing me, OK?

It really doesn't boil down to racism in a strip club, it is cultural differences. Many *traditional* hispanic women won't dance because it is shameful. I feel your post concerning Tempest was a little insensitive because sometimes it is hard to deal with Hispanic customers.

I've got some awesome custies that are Mexicans and Cubans but they are few and far between, like the Holy Grail. Most of them are fucking assholes. I can't tell you how many times I have to deal with "Sexo por $20?"

I'm used to work in El Paso. If you can survive El Paso, you can survive almost anything. I'm half Mexican BTW.

Oh I'm sorry did somebody say something about how my alleged racism disgusts them? I didn't notice cause I was too busy playing with these

And I'm considering a trip up there but I want to know if it will be worth my while. It's not like driving to Philly. If I'm gonna go somewhere I want to make some fucking feria! And to do that I need to know the customer base.

If anyone is still interested, my husband is still auditioning new dancers at his club, Little Darlings. Just thought I'd update this post.

If anyone wants specific information about the club, let me know and I'd be happy to post it in the thread. Those that want to PM me, I'm happy to give you my contact information. :)

Really want to go but unfortunately can't get a visa to work in the states. Glad to hear it worked out well for some of the SW girls!
