Hi girls! This is my first post here, though I read you everyday since I started cramming.
I have a question, I'm moving and already got internet there, it's 5000km away from where I am so what I did was ask someone who doesn't know what I do to do the speed test. The results were
33 download
29 upload
111 ping
Do you think it will be okay with that ping even if I got a high upload speed?
Thanks for your time!!

Who is your provider?
I would test your speed here for accurate speed: https://testmy.net/upload

Do you live in America?
From what I've heard speeds are insane and almost free in other countries. We get ripped off all day.
She's in Germany I believe?

Here are a few tips to prevent latency and reduce lagging:
The simplest solution is to close all other programs, besides the one you are currently using, and pause or stop all downloads operating in the background of your computer.
Make sure other devices connected to the internet are turned off or disconnected from your router. Those devices may be using additional bandwidth that can be re-allocated towards your own immediate needs.
If on a wireless device, try moving the device closer to the router, or better yet try connecting the device directly to the router itself. This can help overcome potential issues from having a poor signal strength that can increase latency.
Check all your cable connections; sometimes cable connection become loose causing the connection itself to act intermittently.
Turn the router on and off, specifically unplug the power cable and leave it unplugged for at least 15 seconds to allow the device to fully drain itself of power before plugging it back in. SOURCE (https://freedomnet.com/blog/what-are-ping-rates-and-why-do-they-matter/)

Your Internet speed is very fast
Your Internet connection should be able to handle multiple devices streaming HD videos, video conferencing, and gaming at the same time.

By standards here (uk is known for shit internet) your download is really good and upload fairly ok
I get 59 download and 18-19 upload now I’ve moved
Which is still miles better than the 10/0.8 I used to get lol

^^Thanks! I read through the SM equipment and speed article and if I've got an i7 and at least 20 upload I will stream in 1080. I'm curious about download. It seems really high. I did upgrade internet to one of the highest speed packages...so I hope this is reflecting that.

I might be wrong but I think its upload that matters for streaming x

upload is the most important thing. the download doesnt matter as much.
upload is the rate of transfer of data from your cam eventually reaching the cam site and then to the client.

Somehow by some camming miracle I'm about halfway down page 1 of Streamate so if you have slow internet like me I'd definitely recommend an Ethernet cord as its been super helpful.
Been using this speed for about a year now.
