I think I just had my first orgasm of the day. How is this even possible?

From testmy.net:

I have a AC3200 wifi router and I don't use hardwiring because my speeds are faster via wifi. I know it doesn't look like much in terms of d/l/u/l but I have FTTN internet so it's very stable and I can split 4 sites, one of them is SM with the encoder and still get a 1500-2000 bitrate. I also have a i7 quadcore and it is 4th generation, yet it still rocks. Sometimes I use a tablet/laptop hybrid but I can only split 2 sites on that. The AC3200 router was one of the best investments yet and I love that I can pretty much cam from anywhere around my house.

Before I kept having dropped connections due to wiring problems and the modem being in my ex's room across the house.. It's been a relief having an additional modem installed in my office, rather than relying on the internet not to blackout throughout the day. The cord wrapping around the entire room looks ridiculous if not hidden, but the speed increase is greatly noticeable!

1) Take the speed test, at the end there should be three options.. "New Server, Test Again, Share This Result"
2) Click Share and a tab will pop up, then click Image and copy the link..
3) Go advanced "Your Message", click insert image.. (looks like a thumbnail on the dashboard under font options or the paper clip icon)
4) Paste the link you copied, you can also take snap shots, save and upload from the desktop "From Computer" also in the insert image tab.

I'm doomed. SM Broadcaster had me at like 10 FPS too. I can't wait to move.

Excuse me, I'll be in my corner. :'(

I have a cheaper plan, but it's not the cheapest. It's "okay".

45258

If I split, I have to lower resolution down to 800x600 or 960x720. At that point, my bottleneck is CPU. Without splitting I usually go 1280x720.

I have to over the Wi-Fi right now because my ethernet port is flakey. Wiggling the wire makes it lose connection.

Which camera are you using?

A while ago I discovered the cause of my built-in cam's low frame rate despite the cam being capable of 30 fps and my computer was able to stream at higher fps at higher resolution with my C920 cam. It was due to low-light. When the light is low, the built-in cam tried to compensate and brighten up the picture by increasing exposure time to collect more light. When the exposure time goes too long, it lowers the frame rate. The C920 was better at compensating for low-light without affecting the frame rate.

Try adding a lot more light in the room or turn off automatic exposure and color adjustments. You'll have to tweak the contrast, brightness, and gamma settings to get it back to looking okay, but the fps will go much higher.

You can test it by going online and turning on and off a bright lamp and see the fps go up and down.

I have 6 month old macbook pro and i use the built in camera. i want to get the c920 but moneys tight right now. i try to use the best lighting as possible but its hard sometimes on a budget. i want to buy professional lighting and the webcam with the next amazon gift card or two i get.

I shouldn't really complain...But two things do bug me...

1: I'm paying for 100/100 but I get this...I know it says in that great tiny ass print they enjoy putting their shit terms/conditions at that says the speed isn't guaranteed but fuck, you sure are charging as if it should be. ::)>:(

2: It says it is decently fast but it sure as hell doesn't seem that fast when things like YouTube has to wait to buffer. before it will play the video and even after, I experience skips. Wtf.

Side Note: I *really FUCKING HATE* having to call your customer service every single month since signing up with you in November but not getting service until December because someone has yet again fucked up my bill. My bill this month includes (AGAIN) charges for Premium Channels that *I DID NOT* order nor do I fucking want that shit...Fucking hell, get your shit together already!

Always feel like I'm getting butt fucked (not in a good way) when it comes to ISP's. >:(

Marina Starr

You don't need big numbers. What you need is consistent and stable internet. I have 20 upload, highest I can get from Comcast but my connection is all over the place which was causing me to lag and freeze. It doesn't mean shit if you do a test that gives you 150 upload then drops to 3 when you stream. I call it bipolar speed = shit lol.

Is it even worth trying to cam with an upload this low?! I have another location I can cam from, I'll have to do a speedtest there tomorrow. Makes me second guess if it's even worth logging onto Chaturbate for my first shift tonight!

I'm in an extended stay place for a couple of weeks until my apartment is ready. :( I'm getting results of 1.77 - 1.9 mbps using testmy.net. Is this fast enough to split on 2 sites? I'm usually on Cams and SM.

Weirdly my phone's hotspot gives me 11 mbps upload! I know that I have "unlimited" data but I think there must be a catch. Or that's way off. Would you trust your phone's connection for streaming?

I just moved into my private room (yay!!!!!) however I tested the internet speed today bc I wanted to try camming tonight & so far this is the speed I get ping: 15ms dl: 4.99 upload: 0.85. Should I just use my phone to tether or can I handle SM in the cable mode? I don't have unlimited data plan on my phone which I just paid & am trying to cut costs if all possible. The modem is downstairs under me & I doubt I could find a cable long enough to plug into my computer. Last night i tried just streaming movies & omg it struggled alot, mostly due to prob everyone else streaming as well. Now that I have my much needed privacy I'm scared I don't have the internet speed needed to cam :( Help x0x0

You're going to need more than that as a upload. Get your own private internet. Not sure where you are but some places depending on credit may not require a deposit. And if they do it's not much.

This thread also talks about tethering phones although I don't think you will be able to do this without unlimited. https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?169500-Travel-Camming

Options that can increase your signal

Find out what the speeds are at the place you're staying and then decide if you can improve your upload speeds with either a USB adapter https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?213037-Instructional-Video-Thread-Cammodel-Edition&p=2930515&viewfull=1#post2930515

Or another option could be to use an extended router https://www.google.com/search?q=travel+router&oq=travel+router&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l5.2099j0j4&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#tbm=shop&q=extended+router&spd=2280514849710583159

Thank you ;) Well I read the travel camming thread & I can prob get by if I tether my phone for maybe 2 hrs a night for every other night maybe, bc isn't 80 mins equal to 1 GB of data? I have the plan that gives you the first 3gb at 4G then slows after.
