Yet another dumb question about girlsprivatecam. Or maybe CCBill, I really don't know. I signed up for girlsprivatecam a while ago but haven't paid it any attention since so I just got my first show on there a little over a week ago. How do payouts work? I don't remember if I gave them my payment information when I signed up and when I look for it on there I can't find it. I've tried going to "My Profile" and then "Personal Information" but the personal info page comes up as an error page. Is this something I should be looking for on CCBill instead? (I have, with no luck so far) Any help would be much appreciated :)

Hello everyone, I'm pretty new to indy and have been on LCMS for almost two weeks and on CMD for a little over a week. I have been camming at everyone's favorite big box site for over two years. I know I picked a tough time to start indy camming, but I am a bit worried because so far I have only gotten one customer through CMD for a ten-minute session. Right now I have my indy rates set at flat rates like $40 for ten minutes, but I'm wondering if I need to change my rates, maybe offer a introductory special of $25 ten-minute skype shows for a week to establish myself. For promotion I'm mainly using Twitter. I'm not doing well at all at my non-indy site, which is probably also psyching me out a little. My rates at my non-indy site are 3.99/6.99. I haven't yet figured out how to change my big box customers into indy customers without pissing off my main site. Any and all advice would be appreciated!

^^^^Perhaps going down to $2.99 on CMD will help boost things. I have a buddy who does well between $2.50-2.99 there. I'm $3.99 but things aren't as face paced as when I was at $2.99 but I'm okay with that. Also, have you tried Niteflirt? It's a great way to get your feet wet with indy. It's all per minute, but you can charge what you want and still make money. As far as getting customers, I would advise against getting them from big box sites as you could get caught and they consider that stealing. I would hate for you to lose your account. You can always find your own customers. I do well advertising outside to get my own customers by paying for ads. Twitter I hear is always a good place to get customers for indy sales. Good luck!

Thank you for all this! I got started on the sign up for niteflirt, but stopped when they asked for a credit card. This is the push I need to go get a prepaid card and finish my sign up. Thanks Kortney!

I knew I would have to learn how to drive my own indy traffic, and I'm so happy that today it worked and I brought my first customer to LCMS! Almost immediately after I put up my ad on twitter I had someone hit me up to set up a session, and it looks like he' s going to be a reg. Woot woot! I feel like I've kind of broke into indy....

It seems that lately a large percentage of guys that come to me for indy shows disappear as soon as I tell them I don't accept amazon or paypal as payment, and I'm trying to figure out how to head these guys off at the pass without testing the often short attention span that many customers with their dicks in their hand have :) Anybody have any luck with this? I've considered posting something on my twitter or putting it in my skype announcement thing, but I have no idea if they would actually read it...

Start using something like this as an "auto responder" on your skype when a guy messages you: https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?187026-The-CamModel-Directory-Thread&p=2633487&viewfull=1#post2633487 by PhatGirlDynomite

Then they know what link you accept payment on. :)

My fake auto responder

"This Skype User is no longer available for free chat. If you would like to continue you must purchase time here (payment link) Once confirmation is received Skype will automatically add you to the users contact list. Thank You!"

All of my skype confirmations go to the same email address. I just make sure I have that open in a tab or if the guy does pay they will come back to say so. That way I don't have to keep refreshing the tab. Because most of them don't come back. It's a numbers game. I just copy and paste the same thing over and over again. If they have a legitimate question then I change it up a bit. (https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?187026-The-CamModel-Directory-Thread&p=2633487&viewfull=1#post2633487)

Indie girls, anyone found a good payment processor for your self driven traffic yet? I usually use giftrocket for new custies, and google wallet with only my trusted clients, but both only allow payments from people in the states. I also take amazon and as a last resort send them through LCMS or CMD. Might look into bitcoins but what I really want is to have my own domain for payment, any suggestions on a good site to use for this/how to do that at all??? LOL. I really want to step my indie game up and self promote everywhere, I can't help but feel a little bitter when I'm giving a percentage of my money to an indie site just to use their processor when I've worked so hard on my own promo.

gracias for using lcms

in terms of a higher percentage the really only viable choice is your own merchant account. with any IPSP (internet payment service provider) like CCBill or Epoch you'll still pay 15% in processing fees and 1k per year for Visa and MC on top of that. Note: if you're in the UK the cc fee is $500, not 1k

if you do decide to go the merchant bank route, one of the biggest hurdles for indy cammers and banks is being able to prove a processing history. Without a processor you don't have a history, and without one the banks aren't all that interested. by the time I got my own merchant account I'd been processing through Zombaio for years, so luckily that wasn't an issue for me.

if you use an unbranded page I can easily provide gateway and bank admin downloads for you to give to the bank you approach, if you decide to go the independent merchant route. I have no idea if they would be accepted but logically I don't see why they wouldn't. I'm a company and if you use the site predominantly as a processor there's not much diff between lcms and IPSPs.

having a merchant account is scary as fuck at times and can be really confusing (it is NOTHING like using an IPSP, I was really astonished by that initially) and there are quite a few fees that aren't applicable with listing sites or IPSPs, but it's the only way to earn more than 85%, that I'm aware of at least. bitcoin is an option as well but ya can't run a viable biz with it, at least not at this point.

if that would help down the line lmk

Why is not viable to run a viable biz with bitcoin?
Sorry about the naive question, totally new to indy

I have a bitcoin payment processor as my backup processor for my pso sites. Anyways, bitcoin goes up and down each day. If you leave your money in there for a week, it will go up and down in value.

ive started setting up my indiebill, but i was hoping for something with a bit of its own traffic too as i dont seem to have any of my own. I dont really know how to drive my own traffic, other than through Twitter, and the only people that interact with me on there are other models or promo accounts lol

hey Sally,

I'm not technically open to new applications mainly just cuz I want to get 100% caught up before doing so, at this rate I figure I'll be removing the public closed notice in a few weeks

feel free to contact me if lcms interests you, I am pushing through the queue quick as I can and adding new listees as I get caught up on older apps. waiting on additional info from most at this point so average turn-around is 7-10 days.

welcome back to skype either way =)

Some models said they cam only indie. I did a search and could not really find any threads about it so I am not sure what exactly is indie?
Are these some kind of specific sites what exactly is indie camming anyone knows ? Someone said that indie is flirt4free but I am not sure if that is it?

Indy means independently. So, Skype or someone who advertises through their own devices and finds a client, then charges them with an independent biller would be considered indy.

Indy is where all customers should be trying to go b/c their favorite ladies get a better cut of their $$$.

There are a few different definitions of indie. Depending on who you ask, it might be referring to models that sign up directly with sites instead of using a studio. However, on this thread, it's usually talking about camming using Skype or similar video chat platforms, instead of working through a traditional cam site.

Here is a thread I made with a lot of info for beginners: https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?213805-My-Independent-Skype-Style-Camming-Group-Bonus-Skype-Indie-FAQs

but how do they collect money if they dont use a site?

This is an old thread so lots of the sites listed at the beginning are no longer in business. BUT if you read through you will still get lots of information including updated tips on what Indy is and how people get paid. I was able to find this thread by using Google. I typed in stripperweb + Indy + camming. Thank you to all the ladies who helped out.

Sorry to bump an ancient thread but I'm not sure where this is appropriate. With CMD turning into Skyprivate 2.0, against what ALL OF THEIR MODELS WANT... is there any site left for exclusively prepaid indy sessions?
