At my club, the majority of the top earners are also the girls that are stumbling around drunk out their minds by the end of the night

I've never noticed any physical, emotional, or personality similarities between any of the top earners at the many clubs I've worked at- The only things any of them have had in common were-

1. Married
2. Close to or over 30

Every single one of them. :/

Yes. I think she's in a situation where the top earners are the ones who shouldn't be...the only reason they're top earners is because they're giving out crazy extras. Not everyone is in this situation, that's for sure.

I'm a top earner and I do loads of crazy pole tricks. But as Charlie said I'll still make it about the guys around the stage, if they're not tipping fuck it - back to the pole. It actually gets me a lot of attention and compliments when I'm off stage.

Traits I've noticed about top earners:
- don't really vary outfits, they know what works and stick to it
- usually the first to talk to a guy that comes in
- approaches everyone, including couples/women
- will NEVER say 'no' to doing a dance (yes, I've worked with girls who've turned down continuing dances because they were tired after doing 30mins, or refuse to do 1 dance)
- either own or paying off a house, smart with their money
- nice to other girls but will walk off on you mid-sentence to chat to a customer

The top earners in my club are amongst the more attractive girls and more professional. They're there to make money, not to get fucked up. They're also articulate.

The dancers at my club have some variety but it's majority white, as is the clientele. It's an "upper scale" club right outside Detroit, which means there are extras going on. I am not including the girls who do extras when I talk about top earners because it wouldn't be fair to include those whores (no offense). (In fact- funny story- one of the waitresses at my club told me that a girl who's known for extras was complaining that she wasn't making money and that I always am making money. Lol.)

Some of the top earners at my club are black girls. This is for many reasons, one being there aren't too many of them at my club; another being, the black girls that the manager does hire tend to have to be prettier to get hired than a white girls; and the black girls at my club just tend to be hustlers. I'm not a top earner every single night, but I'm usually one of the top earners. My boobs are small but I'm 5'2'' and 105 pounds so I appeal to any guy who likes petite women; I'm also mixed so the fact that I look very racially ambigous helps me appeal to lots of customers. I also turn my charm on and show my intelligence, of course :)

I was a top earner at my last club, i mean blow everyone else but maybe 2 other girls away (we all vied for the top spot)top earner.
end of my career too if that makes a difference.
I did have big boobs
but the main thing was i made everyone fall in love with me.... not just regulars but the guys that only came once or a few times. it was my personality and me being super sensuous. i also was a GREAT conversationalist.
I had plenty of haters that accused me of doing more, but i always say the true hustlers don't really do anything besides being themselves for money. Don't get me wrong i gave great contact dances and it wasn't all convo lol. I just think they knew that i actually liked my job.

i agree i feel like i wrote that post as a matter of fact lol

They realize that men are not at the strip club to be treated like wimpy little babies. They have enough knowledge of psychology to act like confident, wild strippers. They NEVER act like, innocent, gullible martyrs. They are not even slightly embarrassed to ask for money. They "ABC" - Always Be Closing. No matter what a guy says, you can reword it into a close. If the close works great; if not at least they will get a good laugh and might buy a dance later. They NEVER do ANYTHING for free.

A friend of mine and a top earner came to me for a post-customer rant about the table we'd been sitting with. She was very pissed off that the female customer paid for a round, and told me that if there are men around she NEVER pays for anything. Women should never pay for men.
I think it's that firm belief that makes her fearlessly demanding, and what she wants, she gets.

Top earners generally don't feel the need to hog up as much attention as possible from customers in a club.

Most top earners I've known don't feel desperate enough to literally try to lure a customer away while he's already engaged in conversation with another dancer.

Don't act desperate by hanging out at the main entrance to grab customers before they can even sit down.

Are often able to make money on their own instead of always having to double tag one customer.

There are also top earners that don't need to do extras just to make their money because they know that there are guys who prefer clean girls.

That is so me. I've never befriended any other dancers because I don't trust them, most have problems, sit in the dressing room to listen to their life stories. lol. Most dancers who try to watch my money refers to me as stuck up or a bitch because I hold convo with noone and so they know nothing abt me. When people can't figure u out, that bothers them!
I don't drink because I have to stay focused on money and surroundings. I see so many girls get wasted which is basically what they came to do instead of working. I'm almost 30 and danced for 7yrs and made serious money in my dancing days. I haven't worked in over a yr. I will prob work during dec.

Most of the top earners I've known personally have had awesome personalities. But like PhxRising said, know how to compartmentalize. They are not emotional at work, nothing affects them and they just turn into moneymaking machines. Which is a good state of mind to be in at work :)

this is sooooooooo true. im having a hard time dealing with the nights where i don't make as much, i tend to take it personally. but the hustlers just take it as it is, because it's bound to happen at one point or another.

Most of this has already been said, but my experience as a top earners is:
-Wear dept store make-up. Keep it very light and natural. The cheap stuff looks cheap.
-Stay relatively sober or don't drink at all
-Don't do pole tricks
-Good oral hygiene and teeth whitening
-Healthy hair. It doesn't really matter the length or color. Mine has been black to platinum and everything in between. As short as to my jawline, and as long as my butt. Keep it trimmed and shiny
-Proper mani's and pedi's. Nothing over the top, just nice and natural
-Classy outfits. I tend to wear the same type of outfits. They fit properly and are not ratty.
-Simple jewelry. It is better to have a few pieces of more expensive items then a whole box of cheap stuff.
-Clean, healthy skin. Get facials and do at-home spa treatments. I love to show off how well I pamper myself
-Don't be a bitch. It can be easy to start thinking you are better than everyone else, but remember you are not perfect!
-"Make em Laugh" I know as soon as I get a man to laugh, a real rolling laugh, I've got him in my grip
-Save it when you make it
-Keep things simple with your clients. Don't lead them on to believe you are going to do more than you will in the VIP
-Try and be nice to every guy. Just because they so no that night, does not mean they won't be back in a month. When they come back you want to be remembered as the girl who told them "to have a good time" not "go fuck yourself"
-Work out 3 times a week, even if its just a 20 min vigorous walk
-Speak appropriately. Avoid swear words and avoid sounding judgmental

It boils down to a healthy, natural appearance (no matter your size, color, or race). BTW, when I say natural, I mean enhancing your features. Be friendly, learn, be healthy, be funny. Set your boundaries in the VIP and don't cross them. Once you have crossed them, you have set that customers standards. Keep their standards low and keep them wanting more!

I totally agree with that. I'm the same way out of the club so it really comes natural. Your personality will show in how you look in the clubs. Men want women that loo like a fantasy that's clean, classy and beautiful. ;)

-Don't drink at work or don't drink very much.

-Are normally very glamorous and have a pretty face.

-Are aggressive.

-Take their job seriously, yet, still manage to have fun or at least look like it.

-Smile a lot.

I could think of so many more! But these are just five off of the top of my head.

life of the party

naturally very friendly, gregarious, and cheerful. with girls and with customers, everybody wants to be around them and liked by them

looks vary, but they own their looks and they are confident that they are the hottest girls in the club

aggressive as fuck, they don't rest until they have hit up every guy in the place

they often work a lot more days than the other girls, they are serious and treat it as a real job

most of them have a goal, and are excited about attaining it with the money they make

This is great for making money, but it is also great for burning girls out. Sometimes it's better to not be a top earner, but to be a mid-tier earner who enjoys their job because they're less stressed out about hitting goals. I am just devil's advocating by saying that, because I could never stop myself from pushing myself to be a top earner. But it's a good thing to be aware of.

Top earners are hustlers (unless they've racked up so many regulars that they don't have to hustle, but I'm being general here). They don't chit chat with the other girls. They don't hang out in the dressing room. They work the floor. They are assertive, sometimes aggressive.

Top earners are good conversationalists, even when they're drunk. I rarely get shitfaced at work. Do I get tipsy? Yes. Drunk? Sure. But I sound brilliant even when I'm drunk. If I'm to the point where I know I've had too much, I will let the DJ know not to put me onstage and spend time sobering up. This has only happened a couple times and I've been dancing for going on two years. I don't make a fool out of myself at work.

Top earners put effort into their appearance; they wear classy outfits (usually nothing crazy and never anything trashy), keep their hands manicured, wear jewelry that compliments them, wear makeup that looks nice... etc. They also typically have their look down to a T and are able to wear outfits that match their "style," do their makeup the same every night or similarly, etc. They know their dancer personality and can stick to it.

Top earners put on a show. They are actresses. If they're in a bad mood or don't feel too good but need to make money, they will make money and look like they are having the time of their life doing it, because, "the show must go on."

Top earners are typically in good shape; a dancer's overall physique is an extremely important quality, especially at high-end clubs.

Top earners are confident.

It's interesting how some people on this thread have so much to say about big boobs vs small boobs in terms of top earners... I don't think that has much validity. First, the quality of the breasts matters more than the size; boobs that are full, round, and perky are typically going to appeal more than saggy boobs of any size. Now that I've addressed the quality issue, I'll continue. Top earners at a club can have small boobs or huge boobs (as long as they're good looking boobs). I have always been one of the top earners at every club I've worked at, and I've worked at many. At the club I work at now, my main competition was my best friend who has natural C's. I'm between an A/B. At the last club I worked at, I was a top earner as well. Another top earner at that club who comes to mind had boobs that were probably double D's; the other top earner who comes to mind after that had boobs that were slightly bigger than mine. If I ever get a boob job, I'm sure I'll still be a top earner. Boob size doesn't determine whether or not you'll be one of the top earners.

Keep in mind, I work in a city that's basically ExtrasVille so I am not including extras girls in this... they don't count.

I haven't posted on here in forever, but I agree boob size is irrelevant. I go back and forth with another dancer as the top earner at my club. She recently got a boob job, she had between an A and B before the surgery - but she has always rocked the lapdance room. The implants haven't changed that. I'm a small B myself. I pretty much solely make my money off regulars. I think the things her and I share in common are: we are nice, sweet, sincere but we know how to cater to what each customer wants. People buy from those they like. I don't push any sale - at least not in an obvious way. Nobody likes a pushy sales person. I word things in a non hustly (if that's a word? Lol) way. And I keep moving around the room. Keep a smile, it makes you mysterious. Stay busy.

I agree with that... confidence is the key. I'm a very confident person, despite my small boobs. I actually LOVE my small boobs. Nevertheless, I think it would be fun to have huge knockers so I'm contemplating a boob job. I'm just afraid I'll get them and then get tired of them after a couple years. Some of my customers say they don't want me to get one, some say they'd love me either way. The bottom line is that simply, some guys prefer big fake boobs, some prefer natural boobs, some prefer small boobs, and some don't care. I don't think boob size has much relevance to top earners. I've seen top earners of all boobs sizes. (However, I must note that I agree it may be easier for a girl to convince a guy to get dances if she has huge boobs in his face... guys come to the club for a fantasy, and huge boobs IS a fantasy for many guys... but this isn't to say a girl with small boobs can't regularly lead the club in earners, because I'm a prime example of how that can be so).

However, I don't see many top earners who are overweight; every top earner I can think of is pretty slender/in shape. You mentioned you slimmed down a lot; being slim/toned is very important and will usually get you more money!

I definitely agree about confidence, strangely though the top earner at my club is one of the biggest girls there! She isn't 'fat but she's by no means thin, she has huge fake boobs but they look natural at least when she's dressed, she has chunky legs and thighs and is quite broad generally, large feet and hands and a large waist...she's not flabby though-her stomach's flat she's just quite a big girl naturally I think.

Not really! She's just quite large-she's had a tummy tuck following having a baby to get rid of saggy skin and I think that's the main reason she's still flat there!

tempest666

You can be large without being flabby. When you have more rolls than a pastry truck it's time to hit the gym. Rolls and flab are just nasty. One of my old work buddies was thick...big ass, thick thighs, but she was SOLID. Not an ounce of fat on her anywhere.

Very well put! When girls try so damn hard to be a top earner they add so much unecessary stress to their lives..."oh, I have to be the hottest girl in the club," or.."I have to do the most pole tricks bc that validates me as the best dancer here"...Its such horseshit..When u r relaxed and smile and dont give a fuck and dont bust ur ass to prove something every second of ur life it eases the likelihood of burnout...Ive seen girls at 28/29 who look 37 in the face bc they starve themselves and dont ever seem to know how to relax..In order to do this job for a long time u have to realize that less is more sometimes...Working numerous shifts n a row or learning to be the top acrobat in the club isnt all its cracked up to be...

^ Yep. That's what burned me out. I'd make 2x the amount of the next highest earner, but because I expended so much energy during that shift, I could only work about 1/4 as much as everyone else in the club. So I made more per shift, which was great for my ego, but it also meant that I made less on average since I couldn't work as much.

I really struggled with that. I'd try to get myself to be less competitive, but I couldn't. I'd temporarily brainwash myself into thinking that I didn't need to be the best, but I'd find myself using that as a strategy to push myself even harder.

wow your post made me realize that im doing that to myself..not that im probably the top earner ( no idea how much the others make, but i do pretty well), but i starve myself at work because im way too busy and stressed out to eat, or drink, or take a breathe and i do consecutive days so by the time the 3 days are up my body as well as mental state are in total breakdown mode. i get stomach aches i stress myself out so much at work and i dread going in because i know ill put so much pressure on myself and i'm reaching total burn out after only 2 years. and after talking to a coworker about how much "a dancer should earn" i've been doubling my efforts and turning into a monster when i get home because of the pessure. i didn't even fully realize i was putting too much pressure on myself til i read this..time to chill out! lol

Yuuup. Gotta find the balance between going 100% psychohustler all of the time and being one of those 18-year-old newbs who's happy to walk with $50. If you can do the former without giving yourself an ulcer, great! And if not, work on taking it down a couple of notches.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but how can you even tell who the top earner/s are?

^It tends to be pretty obvious. They're the people who get the most dances/VIPs/CRs every night. Sure, there's always a possibility that the lazy-looking girl in the corner is getting slipped $100 bills every ten minutes just for sitting there...but you can generally assume that those who spend most of the evening giving some form of one-on-one dances are the top earners. They also tend to be more attractive than the lower-tier earners, spend less time in the dressing room, etc.

To put it more bluntly...this entire six-page thread is a guide to spotting and/or being top earners, dahling. So read up! :)

^agreed!

I think that there are different types of "top earners" depending on the club you're working at. If you are working at a club where you make mostly stage money, these are going to be the girls who have a stage full of bills every time it is their turn to dance. If you are working at a club where you make more off of dances, these are going to be the girls who spend most of their shift in the VIP/champagne room. Or it could be both! Either way it is going to be the girl who is with customers all night, rather than in the dressing room or sitting at the bar.
