View Full Version : Why are you not verified?

Let me start by saying, my biggest issue is the banners. THIS IS SINGLING PEOPLE OUT! If you are part of the "restricted group" why do you need the rest of us to visually see your really a cam girl? If we are so concerned about real vs creepers, we should ask that the site consider a verification process.
I have my twitter, blog, and FB in my signature. All have links to my camsites. If you still don't think I'm a real cam girl, stop by my room and ask me a question regarding SW (although with all the drama recently i haven't been reading). I don't block models from my cam room, so please come check me out, keep me company. However, If you step outta line I will report you. I don't play games.
I was once a no-name forum stalker who wasted hours of my days, weeks, and months searching and reading these forums to find helpful information. Now I try to contribute to topics and be as helpful as my knowledge will allow, but I mainly come here for the advise and helpful threads. Because I don't want to "verify" with someone that I am a real camgirl I am missing out on helpful forums? Whatever. I don't understand how this isn't clique-ish, or how ladies aren't supposed to feel less quality by not having a silly banner in their signature.
h0ttie, you are a great contributor to this forum! This post is in no way an attack on you or your mission. I'm just tired of reading numerous thread regarding the same mission. There doesn't need to be a slip in the forum. Post wisely and use discretion and no one will get too much information.
I <3 it! Can I please get one of the verified creeper banners?
Oh just wait til you see the Business Meeting thread then. Just ignore the paranoid haters.

Im sorry but i think this needs to be shut down now this topic is spilling into other threads there should be one thread dedicated to it, and if people cant see that its starting drama then you are probably in the middle of it, lets just go back to the positive shit :)

Well for drama...
I have been pretty drama free...
But now I'm feeling attacked. Those verified creeper banners? really?
Thats like mocking all my hard work to put this together for the girls that wanted it.
Has anyone not seen anything I typed??? I don't have a problem if you don't want to verify so stop attacking my group!!!!

:( oh no! I don't think anyone was trying to attack you. Your setting up the group is a very positive thing (you will have verification stuff from me within a couple hours too btw). The problem is that one or two members (totally not you) have been seriously catty/bitchy about non-verified girls, which is a real shame because it just perpetuates the 'clique' view from the outside.
Like, I didn't think that the fact that I initially chose not to verify meant that I would be left open to nasty comments about how I'm a fake etc. I wouldn't suggest for a moment that H0ttie has suggested anything bad about non-verified girls, but some others have taken that step.

I can see how hottie would be offended by the "verified creepers" banner. I think If I was hotttie, I would wonder "Is she calling me a creeper?" But at the same time, I think that AF camgirl was just joking due to the 2 or more members being so rude yesterday.
I personally have no problem with the "verified camgirl" banner. As I said yesterday, I think it is cute. Also, I want to point out that only 2 or more members were attacking us, and being rude, not the whole group. So do not be rude to hottie, or anyone else who has not said anything wrong to people here.
Actually, don't even say anything else to those few people who were rude. Just ignore them. If anyone else decides to call you a man, or anything else disrespectful, then so be it. They obviously have issues, and do not know how to conduct themselves properly. Plus as I have so often said, this is the internet, so why get so upset over anonymous people on the net? Sure I was mad yesterday, but I am so over this drama today. This has turned into a derailed train wreck, and I believe it started off positive. It is a damn shame that there are always a few bad apples in this bunch. Really a shame.
I can't really tell people how to feel, but my advise is to get over it. How much energy and time was spent on this thread, that could have been spent somewhere else? Like working?

Nah, it's just that having all our insider info in public is bad for business for 2 reasons:
- We're teaching our competition how to better compete with us. Too easy for people to just grab our valuable advice without contributing anything.
- Too easy for customers to read our insider info, and you can be sure they do. They don't need to be privy to all our hustle strategies, for example. Really bad for business.
I have a shitload of really good info to share that I just won't post in public. I don't mind sharing it with other camgirls who also share information (in fact I really like doing it), but I'm just not going to give away all my info that I've worked fucking hard to learn to the whole world. I know a lot of girls feel the same way. That's why the verified group came about. Nothing whatsoever to do with clique-ing up.
Obviously those who participate in a group are bound to get to know each other better and form closer bonds, but it's not like we think we're "better" or more "exclusive" or anything like that. It isn't personal.
If you are really so concerned about customers finding out our business information then get rid of the banners.
There are literally thousands of posts on here that you "verified" girls did prior to the "verification" process starting. Are you going to go back and delete all those posts? Is the admin of this board going to allow you to do it? There is tons of "good business information" in those posts and by you having the "verified" banner in your signature the customer then knows what you posted there is what you stand behind.
Seriously get rid of the banners if you are so concerned about customers finding out information. Why do the customers need to know you are verified? Personally if I was "verified" I would not want anyone other then the girls in the clique (because that's what it is) to know that.
Oh and I also have a problem with sharing my identity with someone who does not want to share her identity with me. No offense to hottie in particular, but I heard that is what is going on.

It is truly a shame that there seems to be a need for a verification process anyway because there are weirdo's, fakes and just all kind of thing that you can do on the internet to mis-represent yourself
....but at the same time it is a bitch-ass move for "women" to "report" other cam girls like Agent99 and others because they are jealous. They come on here and talk about them and watch their shows on the side-line....if you are making so much money (as many LIE about on here) then why do you have time to be on stripperweb or to watch other girls perform and be the cam police?
These companies do not give a damn about YOU, and you think you get cool points for reporting? Just ask that one girl (I don't remember her names because that's how much I give a damn) who reported someone and got banned herself....
Anyway as far as being verified, I don't care. Calling other girls fake and this and that when infact a lot of those people are fake themselves is just ridiculous.

Look I am not trying to diss you. But I do have concerns about this and will not just blindly join in.
I get the point of having the group, I really do.
But I won't be joining unless I see a real reason for me to join.
I don't think the verified group is a clique at all. I don't see a group mentality or a desire to have an 'elite' identity. This emerged from a shared desire to keep certain topics hidden and have a safe(r) environment for open conversation. I tend to believe that camgirls are independent by nature since we make our own money and we are our own boss. Being verified doesn't stop us from being independent thinkers. It just means that if we're going to talk about something that only other camgirls should see, there's a place for it.
And deciding against verification doesn't make you shady. Plenty of people here are very obviously camgirls just from the content of their posts.
I don't think it's a matter of "proving" anything to anyone. I think it's just a matter of having another space for discussion, and if you're interested in that space, there are just a few steps in place to ensure that this space stays safe. If you don't want to, or you don't feel the need for another space, that's totally fine.

That's why I don't bother naming names when I talk about other cam girls. Infact I rarely talk about other cam girls on here in the light that some of the other gals on here do.
At the end of the day cam sites are what they are. Heck I have done so many "rule breaks" on SM that I am surprised they have not gotten rid of me for good. I have only been banned twice. I am a crazy girl. I play psycho on some days when I feel like it, but most of the time I am a girl spitting the honest truth in my room. Heck I give away so much business info to the clients its a crime....
But at the end of the day what I do in my room is MY BUSINESS and I certainly would not want to be talked about on here in such a rude manner that some of the "cam girl police" do.
I concern myself with my own room. I have posted my cam ids on here many times. Heck I will do it again...kinkykacy on streamate and dreadedbitch on AW and knottyasian on MFC.
Oh and most girls on here DO lie about their income. Unless you are a top 20 MFC girl I know you are not making $200+ a day and camming all week without taking a few days off.

I personally think that the Verified Banners are over-the-top and kind of offensive. They also create the Divide and add to the feelings of Haves and Have Nots and such.
They also OUT you to every creeper who DOES spend time on here reading (and there are many many many of those because the board is open to NON-Registered Guests, So anyone can read this.) and many of those creepers read THIS THREAD and see how you are talking shit about them in your private group and know exactly who to watch because you all put banners in your sigs.
IF I leap off the fence and get verified, I will absolutely NOT put one of those banners in my sig, and will probably do the creeper one. No offense whatsoever to H0ttie, but if putting a banner that parodies another banner in your sig, is offensive, then the original banner is just as offensive to those who don't want to verify. It's just common sense.
In my opinion, this whole dealio stinks more and more by the hour. It created drama, snarkiness, cattiness, divided the board, lowered the "great posts we can learn from" quotient terribly, and should really be thought about.

Exactly. If I jump the fence I won't be putting a banner in my sig that's for sure.

That's cool, and I wasn't doubting if she was legit or not. I had a feeling she's the real deal.
I just take issue with someone who is not willing to jump through the same hoops that they are asking me to jump through. Now I know asking for a cam ID is not a lot, but damn if you are going to ask me for mine...tell me yours.

We pretty much know each other..
We saw each other on the websites...
Its not like anyone is 100 % anonymous...
We live with a webcam attached to our faces, remember?
This verification is not a big deal.........
