From what I know, pays .80-1.00 per minute. That seems so low..... Does anyone know who are the best paying cam sites to work for? I know a lot has to do with what you put into it, but I would rather put my all in a co. that pays the most.

isnt a cam site (incase anyone thought it was), its a studio. Streamate is the cam site. Adultwork probably have the highest % but it doesnt have the best traffic. Its a toss up between traffic and %. Streamate is generally the most recommended, 35% but alot of traffic. AW has 65-70% but medium traffic. Best thing is you can sign up for both and test each of them out to see what suits you best.

While I havent finished registration with needlive.com, I did get an email confirming my want to register. I was at the part where they need form of i.d scanned and thought Ide better ask here why they have studio account login info and performer account login info. It looks to me like I have been tricked as well. Luckily I didnt get far.
It even says this: After clicking the confirmation link, use the >StudioID< to login to your Studio Account to finish the registration
So did I just dodge a bullet? Thanks ladies! :)

I may be wrong but it appears you may have signed up for a studio account on needlive.com instead of a performer account. I dont think theres any trickery, youve just clicked the wrong one.

your link worked for me pj! sorry about that. but yeah - there are a few threads floating around about cam4 :) some of them are old though.
the search i did was for 'cam4' instead of 'cam4.com,' that turns up more results, so you might want to try both searches melissa!

I was wondering if anyone knows if its true that streamate wont open you an account separate from the recruiter you signed up with ??? I signed up with one and stopped hosting on their site because of it.

I believe that if you had an account with a studio, streamate will prevent you from opening your own account for a year. What some of the chicas here who've been in your situation have done is sign up with Princess Jenny's (PJ is a member here) studio called Daily Pay. Daily Pay takes 5%, so your total is 30% instead of the 35% you'd get if you signed up with sm on your own, meaning for every $115 you earn after sm takes it's cut you keep $100. As per the name, with DP you receive your earnings the day after you earn them.
Your other option is to wait the year, and then sign up on sm on your own. Either way, good for you for leaving the studio you originally went through, most of them are blood-suckers

That was awesome of you to post that list, roast.
Back when I didn't know any better, I cammed for a MFC studio called UnitedCamGirls, and on the pay statement I think it showed up as "UCG." They had offered daily pay, but you A) had to earn at least $50, I think and B) if you chose daily pay, the pay percentage was less. I remember telling them that something didn't look right with my pay. I hadn't realized I wasn't getting $0.05/token, and when they explained to me that I was only getting $0.03+/token or $0.04/token I was pissed. LOL.
I had even cammed on a Webcams.com studio (the studio agent or whatever was named 'Jay'), and I remember being owed $100+ and never receiving it. They had claimed it was sent out, and when I told them I didn't get it they claimed they'd send another payment and hand-deliver it to my home. Never got that check, and needless to say, I was PISSED.
I cammed on too.
Yup, I've got with a lot of studios back then. I had made the mistake of answering a lot of those cam girl ads on SexyJobs.com. LOL. The people placing those ads are STUDIOS. I'm glad to have found this amazing forum to help me realize why it's best to get with the REAL sites instead of the studios.

Redtubelive and any chat interface on RedTube is just a white label for Streamate.com
Same with PornHublive, same with most tube site's chats (except xtube's is webcams.com)

I'm on cam4... I make next to nothing - visitors want a free show there for the most part. The only time I've actually made anything there is with my boyfriend - they allow couples and DON'T require you submit ID or anything like that to broadcast. They also hold your available funds till you have $50 accumulated - and on top of that -- they have what they call a "reserve" where the tips are held until they are "verified" and then released into your tip jar 3 days later if they're legit. Not worth your time IMO.

Wanted to add that studios often advertise that they can help you get signed up quickly (often even livechatting with you while you fill out your documents).... they cant. Youre still waiting on the same amount of approval as independent signups. In fact, be aware that sometimes studios like Internet Modeling.com are notorious for having several weeks of wait time before you go live.
For streamate, however, a model rep (who is NOT a studio) named Vanessa can help your application get expedited. Plus if you sign up with her there is no 3 week delay time to get paid your first check. Click here for details on her service: http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?170324-If-your-documents-were-rejected-on-Streamate
You can even ask for her help if your documents are already submitted and she can check on them for you since she is a streamate rep

NOTE: !NTERNETM0DELING.COM STANDS FOR "INTERNET MODELING.COM" (no space) THEY AND ALL REFERENCES TO THEM ARE BANNED FROM STRIPPERWEB SO THEIR FULL NAME CANNOT BE POSTED HERE
I wanted to give a concrete example of how studios are a scam by using the guidelines written out here (http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?160099-How-to-sign-up-for-sites-directly-to-earn-more-%28aka-avoid-studios%29&p=2195817&viewfull=1#post2195817). Since Internet modeling.com is easily the most popular online studio scam, we'll use them*:
1. Lack of straight answers - rule 6 (http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?160099-How-to-sign-up-for-sites-directly-to-earn-more-%28aka-avoid-studios%29&p=2195817&viewfull=1#post2195817): !nternetm0deling is a studio for Streamate.com. They work exclusively with Streamate.com and no other website. They will not directly tell you this in their ads or even on their website. (http://www..com/faq.htm)
2. Lack of straight answers - rule 6 (http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?160099-How-to-sign-up-for-sites-directly-to-earn-more-%28aka-avoid-studios%29&p=2195817&viewfull=1#post2195817): They list the "websites" in their "huge" network here (http://www..com/cam/webcam_network.htm). All of those websites are Streamate.com. All of them. They are white labels for streamate. Notice how they all look alike and have the same models as Streamate.com just with different colors? A white label is basically an industry term for 'rebranding a website to make it appear different to consumers without changing the site's actual content'. It is the online equivalent of dumping out a package of M&Ms (or Smarties) and then putting the same product in a package called "Yum Yums". Even though it is called something else, Yum Yums are still M&Ms right? Right. Using this analogy, Yum Yums are just a white label for M&Ms. That "huge network"? Just white labels (Yum Yums) for Streamate (M&Ms). So again, Internet Modeling.com just works with Streamate.com, their network are just white labels of the exact same site... that you will still automatically appear on when you sign up for streamate directly.
3. Payout percentages - rule 5 (http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?160099-How-to-sign-up-for-sites-directly-to-earn-more-%28aka-avoid-studios%29&p=2195817&viewfull=1#post2195817): Internet Modeling.com will tell you you earn 0.80 / 1.00 a minute. 0.80 is for premium or group sessions (so you can have multiple users in your room), and 1.00 for exclusive or private sessions (so it is just one-on-one). What they are not telling you is where that figure comes from. They are charging 3.99/4.99 a minute to your customers to earn that figure, so you are earning 20% (net) from what they charge. Also be aware that you cannot change your pricing when you work for Internet Modeling.com.
Does 0.80 (group) / 1.00 minute (pvt) sound good? OK. Then how does 1.40 and 1.75 a minute sound? Better? One figure is larger than the other, right?
By working for Streamate.com directly you'd be immediately earning more from Internet Modeling.com's prices, you earn 35% a minute by working for Streamate.com. You earn 20% per minute working for .com. You can also charge higher than 3.99 / 4.99 a minute if you work on your own. You can even charge lower if you wanted as well. The range on streamate can be 0.99 to 14.99 a minute if you work independently.
Be aware that some agents for !nternetM0deling.com are starting to just straight up lie and say you earn 80% because .com is the highest paying modeling agency. This is utter and complete bullshit. Regard everything a studio agent tells you as a lie until you get a contract. One agent I confronted said they charge 0.99 a minute for premium (group chat) and you earn 0.80 so that is where the 0.80 figure comes from........................ not true.
4. Payout percentages - rule 5 (http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?160099-How-to-sign-up-for-sites-directly-to-earn-more-%28aka-avoid-studios%29&p=2195817&viewfull=1#post2195817): They will tell you you earn up to a 30% bonus if you earn 2K a week through them. Now focus on "up to". "Up to" does not mean "you will be paid 30%!", it means they can pay you between 0.000001-30% extra and still count it as a bonus. Also bear in mind if you earn 2K through Internet Modeling.com, you earned 20% (net) of what they are charging customers.
So if you earned an actual 30% bonus (not "up to" but let's be optimistic and say they gave you a full 30%) for that week for what you netted, you'd be getting $600 "extra".
Sound good?
Well, let's look at the math. Bear with me for a minute.
So if you earned 2K through Internet Modeling.com, you earned 10K gross for Streamate.com... which means you would have earned $3500 if you worked independently. You'd be working without the promise of a bonus, but you'd also automatically have $1500 weekly if your output is always 2K weekly on !nternetM0deling.com.com.
$2600 (highest possible bonus from 2K on Internet Modeling.com) vs $3500 (guaranteed from streamatemodels.com)
or
$2000 (guaranteed from !nternetM0deling.com.com if you earn it) vs $3500 (guaranteed from streamatemodels.com if you earned 2K on )
If you had to choose between $0 and $1500, you'd choose $1500. If you had to choose between $600 and $1500, you'd choose $1500. Even if it isnt disguised as a 'bonus'.
BTW, that possible "bonus" of $600 are just funds that they earned off of you that they are recycling back as an invested reward. It is *your* money and the money of other scammed camgirls cloaked as a reward... that is a ponzi scheme tactic which is why Im not using the word scam lightly.
These figures are demonstrating just one example of the vast gulf that a 20% and 35% difference creates. Even if I adjusted for different PPM figures or volume or group privates or gross %s or any other variable - working independently will always result in more money in your pocket
Working directly wins every time.
5. Unsolicited offer - rule 1 (http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?160099-How-to-sign-up-for-sites-directly-to-earn-more-%28aka-avoid-studios%29&p=2195817&viewfull=1#post2195817) and We are female / camgirls - rule 14 (http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?160099-How-to-sign-up-for-sites-directly-to-earn-more-%28aka-avoid-studios%29&p=2195817&viewfull=1#post2195817): sorry camgirls but I have to say this - camgirls often hawk !nternetM0deling.com.com and other studios and act as model recruiters. Or they have their OWN studios while still working from the site directly. From an affiliate standspoint: has the prettiest graphics and the farthest reach out of any other studio, bar none. Many camgirl blogs have ads in their righthand navigational panel. Many camgirl's have !nternetM0deling.com links in their Twitter bios or in their forum signatures. Many camgirls will specially try to 'recruit' you on studios, esp .com's, behalf... when many dont even work for .com. Youll see them posting on twitter #liveonstreamate tags or other things that clearly show they work for Streamate.com, but more often than not they work directly for Streamate.com or for a studio that doesnt take such a hefty bite of of their earnings.
Some camgirls are embarrassed or sneaky about this and wil privately message you (see rule 2 about personal attention (http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?160099-How-to-sign-up-for-sites-directly-to-earn-more-%28aka-avoid-studios%29&p=2195817&viewfull=1#post2195817)) Dont fall for it. Dont fall for it on twitter, facebook, Yahoo! answers, or even here. If a poster on SW tells you to PM them for more info about a bigbox website, unless theyre reputable... don't do it. Even if they are reputable or wellknown posters - still have your bullshit detector on.
Using camgirls to advertise a studio is a brilliant strategy bc the camgirl can say that she'll help train and guide you to earn as much as her. Using popular camgirls is a win/win for studios bc they know new camgirls look up to established ones and they dont have to bother spamming websites all day to get signups. Iit is also a win/win for camgirls because it is passive income built from using their credibility as a camgirl. It is unfortunately a lose / lose for you.
So dont fall for it.
All of the 'training' you could ever need is from just watching other models, studying forums like Stripperweb.com, making friendships with other performers, and aboveall just getting on cam and using a series of trials and errors. No one can teach you much of anything... especially if there are hidden charges attached.
Note: sometimes models (or anyone)will send you referral links to sign up for websites, that isnt the same as a studio ad. They just earn a bonus for referring you. 9 out of 10 referral links includes the domain name of to the real cam site in question, it just looks like: registration.camsite.com/signup/ref-id:8226716 or something. Just make sure it takes you to a registration page for the real cam site and not a studio website because people can "cloak" html links or pretend to be site admins. When in doubt (or if you dont know the model well) just sign up directly... if youre mistaken, she'd only be earning like $50 anyway. Also: I did not include referral registration links in these posts because it could be confusing so every link about how to sign up directly are direct links.
*I mostly posted this because Internet Modeling.com is so popular that this post is getting buried in google searches for ".com scam or fraud" and wanted to throw in more SEO keywords and links, lol

Is SNRProductions really a studio? They look super legit and even have an affiliate program for referring customers which isn't typical for a studio. I know they claim to only hire 10% of applicants which this post claims is a studio indicator; however, I know other sites like Naked and Flirt4Free do reject applicants that they deem low potential. Just wondering because I'm thinking of giving them a shot..

From The-Bachelor: First let me say I am not here to pick on anyone, just to set the record straight that Recession Girlz is a legitimate business with fair written agreements and does enhance the models earning potential to get them on track to make over $100,000 each year. As you read my responses directly from me instead of any “filtered versions”, you can form your own opinion if we are a scam. Some of my response will apply to various points I have read from this thread, enjoy!
As with any business, you can choose to do it on your own (and make some money) or you can have a team that supports you in the ways you might not be able to by yourself (and make more money than you would working by yourself).
If anyone reading this has made over $100,000 a year then you know it takes a lot to get there but something’s worth mentioning are discipline, consistency, structure and encouragement. Most webcam models need the above and more on a 1-on-1 basis all the time to accomplish their income goals and legitimate studios (virtual or brick and mortar) provide this structured environment for the models that don’t have the natural drive to do those things on their own. We work with our models to design a custom plan that they choose, then once that is complete we hold them accountable to what they told us they would do in order to help them achieve their income or personal goals. Yes we text, email and phone call more than the megasite does because we are coaching the model on a 1-on-1 basis, only to help her achieve her goals.
“RecessionGirlz is a studio. The man running it is a male cam model that goes by the name "The Bachelor". The site under his recession girl wallpaper is actually ifriends.” Reply from The-Bachelor:Yes we work with the iFriends/Webpower family of websites as referenced in our interviews as well as the disclosures on our customer site. We enjoy their white label program because it allows the most customization compared to any other webcam white label program on the net!
I'm pretty sure he gave you a great winning pitch. He will not put your percentage in writing but will try and call you to lie verbally. Reply from The-Bachelor: Percentages are always provided in writing in advance for you and all our prospective models to review. I was and still am always available to help clarify any questions over the phone with answers, not lies!
I specifically remember you were online chatting with another website ALL day for no monetary result and then you learned you could make money doing it, by replying to one of our ads, and then you got greedy wanting to make all the money by working on your own and didn’t want to accept the commission percentage clearly noted in our agreement. Our commission percentage is our way of making a return on our investment of time and money for training and managing models on how to maximize their earnings on the site faster than if they were trying it all on their own. We also would have advertised you (if you proved your commitment to a weekly work schedule) which never happened, do to you choosing to pursue it on your own. Ultimately you didn’t think it was fair for someone to help you make over $100K a year in the webcam business faster than if you tried learning everything by trial and error which can take several years to do.
Of course with any model we help we take a percentage of their earnings (which has always been clearly written in all of our agreements) for optimizing their profile on the ifriends website network so they get the most from the natural site traffic during their live broadcasts, we also perform offsite model specific advertising, website programming of html, css, php, javascript and other coding languages, graphic design, photography shoots, video editing, search engine optimization, google analytics tracking and the creation and maintenance of their ad network along with the additional services of constant phone counseling, 24/7 text message for their Q&A, extremely fast email/phone/text replies and ability to meet in person for even more help to get them making money faster! Can anyone do all of the above on their own? Of course you all can, if you want to take several years and learn (without immediate pay I might add), but at the end of the day, will you have enough time to get online in “Miss Sexy” mode and make over $100,000 this year performing for your fans along with doing everything above by yourself?
If you do then great, but if you don’t have that much free time to learn the webcam business on your own then maybe working with an educated team who can support you in what I mentioned above makes sense, especially with no upfront financial investment from you!
He was advertising for a while on myspace and also clist saying make $20-$40 an hour to chat. He's smart because he advertises under regular jobs and is offering you the non sex section of Ifriends. His goal is to get you to do the adult side and he'll push for that. Reply from The-Bachelor: At the time you applied we were posting ads for webcam work in both non-adult and adult areas of several advertising sites because the non-nude market was still a viable market, but since then the market has primarily become adult oriented and models still only perform the requests they are comfortable doing both nude or non-nude.
When you ask about percentage last time I spoke to him he flat out lied to me. He'll give you the " you dont have to do what you're not comfortable with speech". When you realize sitting on the pg side and trying to get memberships sign ups that are billed at $30 only to realize you'll rake in from that about $7 you then start to question things. One thing that stuck out was the bold 50% on the page but his numbers didn't make sense and that's how it all got put together for me. Reply from The-Bachelor: Our agreements are in place to have us be the models managing representative to train, counsel, support, advertise and help create a larger paying audience for the specific model who works on a mega-website. We help models make money faster than if they were to try and do it on their own. I’ve taken models that were struggling making less than $50 a week and helped them make over $1000 a week part time, and full time models over $2500 a week, but it does take a lot of coaching, support, positive reinforcement, marketing, video editing, multiple website designing and the list of work goes on…. As with ANY business, not all models make it due to-too many outside circumstances to list here.
But I guess everyone who agrees with the “…avoid studios…” headline of this thread, is going to say that everything I mentioned above should be done for FREE for all the models right? Well let me tell you, there isn’t any company or person that will do everything we do for new or experienced models for FREE! You can find bits and pieces here and there across the net but nothing is a complete turn-key approach, with a team to help you on a 1-on-1 basis, to making over $100K each year! My guess is that
none of the people who have written those bits and pieces across the net will do much more for you for FREE than tell you to read another post they wrote!
Now let’s just clarify what a scam truly is: “a fraudulent or deceptive act or operation” as seen here: , Now ask yourselves if having written commission agreements, a success plan for models to follow everyday they work, a team of associates who handle graphic design, website development, advertising, search engine optimization, training, profile creation, photography, video editing, compliance, daily and weekly 1-on-1 training, link building, html, css, php javascript programming, lightning fast model support during all the odd hours we receive text messages and phone calls, payment to everyone on time (delayed only due to holidays or mail) as noted in their agreements plus bonuses… is that a scam? I think the answer is obvious.
I can only speak for my company, Recession Girlz, and not the others mentioned in this thread. And if any of you reading this sat in just one of our chairs for a couple of hours you’d quickly learn we are the exact opposite of the scam tone of this thread.
I would also consider a scam to be any person (business or model) who accepts a written agreement and then violates that agreement such as lying to get out of it, not paying, not performing the work noted in the agreement, or models who start working on a webcam site with intentions of stealing customers they meet on that site to do shows offsite and get payment directly from the customer… which is flat out theft!
I don’t know if any of the other studios mentioned in this thread are scams or not. If they are operating their business legitimately, as I am operating mine, then my guess is that they are not a scam. However if they aren’t paying their models per their written agreements, then I would agree that they may be scamming their models.

His percentage cut to you is 20-25%. When if you joined ifriends yourself you make 50%. So yes he wants to take half your earnings for doing nothing. Reply from The-Bachelor:Well it’s hard to say we do nothing if you read the list of things above that we do for active models that have proven their work consistency to us. As for our commissions, we pay our models 40-70% of the revenue we receive on their behalf from the website they work. Here are a couple of examples:
(Important to note, there are 2 ways the site pays out: 1) Standard (50% of the pre-existing site members spend on you - 45% paid now and 5% held for 6 months credit card refund reserve, or 100% of new first-time members spend on you in 95% paid now and 5% held for 6 months credit card refund reserve ) – Note: With the Standard payout, if the site doesn’t collect what the member spends then no one gets paid! AND 2) Gauranteed Payout (GPO 35% for pre-existing site members and 65% for new first-time members aka 100% payout members with no credit card reserve held) – the site guarantees a lower percentage payout regardless of if the customers spend is successfully collected from his/her credit card or not. There are other variables where models can make more under GPO but we won’t get into those to keep this example simple) Let’s say a pre-existing site member spent $499.00 on the site during a private show with one of our models. Assuming the pre-existing site member’s spend successfully clears his/her credit card under the standard payout plan the site would pay us $224.55 (45% of the customer spend) right now and hold $24.95 (5% of the customer spend) in a 6-month credit card reserve account that gets paid out in 6 months as long as no refunds were requested on any of the models shows. Now the model commission math based on the criteria in our agreements:
Example #1 Standard Payout
Amount site pays us for example 1 x Model Commission % = $ to Model:
$224.55 x 40% = $89.82
$224.55 x 50% = $112.28
$224.55 x 60% = $134.73
$224.55 x 70% = $157.19
Now let’s find what percentage the models pay is in relation to how much the member spent on the model by reverse calculating their commission divided by how much the member truly spent on the website:
Models Earnings from right above / Amount Member Spent on Site = Model % of Member Spend:
$89.82 / $499 = 18.00%
$112.28 / $499 = 22.50%
$134.73 / $499 = 27.00%
$157.19 / $499 = 31.50%
These percentages aren’t bad for models that are getting the support we are giving.
Example #2 Standard Payout
Now here is another example under the standard videohost payout plan of the same amount spent but this time by a new-first time member (classified as 100% payout members in the models real time stats report on the website) who signed up to our website network to see the model in the ad that brought them to our site. The new-first time member joins because of our ads (and has never had a membership in the iFriends network of websites before) and spends $499 in live videochat on the model they signed up to see. Assuming that the new-first time member’s charges successfully cleared his/her credit card, this time the site pays out $474.05 immediately (95% of the customers spend) and holds $24.95 (5% of the customers spend) in a 6-month credit card reserve account that gets paid out in 6 months if no refunds were requested on any of the models shows. Now the model commission math based on the criteria in our agreements:
Amount site pays us for example 2 x Model Commission % = $ to Model:
$474.05 x 40% = $189.62
$474.05 x 50% = $237.03
$474.05 x 60% = $284.43
$474.05 x 70% = $331.84
Now let’s find what percentage the models pay is in relation to how much the member spent on the model by reverse calculating their commission divided by how much the member truly spent on the website:
Models Earnings from right above / Amount Member Spent on Site = Model % of Member Spend:
$189.62 / $499 = 38.00%
$237.03 / $499 = 47.50%
$284.43 / $499 = 57.00%
$331.84 / $499 = 66.50%
And when the additional 5% credit card charge back reserve is release in 6 months the models end up making even more than what you see above in both the pre-exisiting site member and new first time member examples. These percentages are better the most all of the other sites out there along with the consistent traffic the models get from the other advertising methods we employ.
My business plan is designed to provide a team of people who handle all the tasks I have mentioned above and more, all in an effort to brand a specific Exclusive Star we manage so that Star can reap the rewards of eventually doing more shows for the new first-time members (classified as 100% payout members in the models real time stats report on our site) we help bring to them, than if they were trying to build their book of new first-time members on their own. And they end up making more money with the additional streams of revenue we offer to the models that have proven their work efforts and loyalties per our agreements.
He'll also make money off of any referrals you do and just for you signing up. Reply from The-Bachelor: Truth is we don’t make any money for just signing up a model until they generate revenue (hopefully she works out after all the training, marketing and coaching we do in the beginning) otherwise nobody makes a dime. As for the new customer referrals, yes we do make a small amount of money on new first-time members any model brings to the site as long as those new members successfully sign up through our credit card age verification process BUT the model gets paid from those new memberships as well! This is a very fair written agreement that helps models make over $100K a year and most models appreciate it, for those that don’t they can take the several years and try making it on their own.
This guy was the reason I almost never cammed in the first place. Reply from The-Bachelor:For what it’s worth now 2 years later, there was a lot of information I was sharing with you, all in a positive and helpful fashion answering your laundry list of questions and getting you familiar with a business you seemed reluctant to work in from the start, due to the real money being made from its “adult/nude” classification. I don’t know if you are making over $100,000 each year from the webcam industry alone, but I only wished you success in the endeavors you pursued and still do!
This guy's is really smart about how he words things. However if you got paperwork where there isn't a percentage put in then you may be screwed in getting whatever he feels like giving you. Lucky for me I never actually worked for him at all. I was too inquisitive and if someone is running a game they tend to not like those types. Reply from The-Bachelor:There was and always have been percentages posted in all the agreements we supply to all our models before they agree to have us manage them, and I have never paid out *whatever I feel like giving* to any model. I pay ALL of the models exactly what is noted in our agreements and sometimes more based on their work performance.
I still couldn't believe how much the guy lied . I went off on him and that was the end of that. Reply from The-Bachelor:Sorry you felt lied to but everything was provided in a written agreement with clear commission percentages posted ahead of you singing anything. I know that whenever I am researching a new industry and review multiple agreements in a short amount of time I get fatigued and it takes me some time to get my head around it all. I did sense you were trying to get an understanding of EVERYTHING this business was about at the same time as 4 different agreements with all the legal jargon… I did my best to explain but it just wasn’t good enough for you.
I answered similar ads like his and found that they all did the same thing. They didn't want to discuss the payout percentage or would flat out lie about it.
Ohh another technique he does is that he doesn't give you all the paperwork at once.
What he does is give you "his paperwork" first calling it "step 1". Then tries to give you the sites' paper work calling it "step 2". This is to make sure that you don't read what the site's rules are first realizing you don't actually need him at all. Reply from The-Bachelor:Yes we do a 2 step process and clearly explain that step 1 contains the agreements for us to represent and pay the models their percentage based on the revenue we receive from the website where the model works. Step 2 agreements are the website specific agreements where the model works. Can any model try to learn this on their own without a managing representative over several years of trial and error, yes! But most don’t have the time, money or manpower to learn it all quick enough to make the money they want. They want to know the secrets to making their income goals fast and with little work which is where businesses like mine (call them studios if you wish) come in to bridge that lack of knowledge and HELP the models to make money faster and more consistently than if they were doing it by themselves. We are the farthest
thing from being a scam.
Like I said this guy is really slick. But he's making bank off the girls that just don't know. Reply from The-Bachelor: Correction we don’t make “…bank off the girls that just don’t know”. We work with both in-experienced new models as well as experienced models and train, counsel, coach, advertise, create custom graphics-webpages-marketing campaigns-teaser videos, manage motivate and develop a business plan to make over $100,000 per year. We also have those that are comfortable making $20K-$80K, and we do get paid for helping them accomplish their income goal but they end up making a higher percentage of the revenue than we do!
Is he more honest these days? I don't know, why would he be when lying seems to work on most. Reply from The-Bachelor: I’ve been honest my whole life and there is nothing to lie about when my business (call it studio if you wish) enters into a written agreement with a model and we both perform or exceed what is noted in our agreements. Now if one of us did not perform per the agreement then that would be classified as a lie. I know my business has performed per our agreements with all of our models but we also have models whom haven’t performed their part but we just continue to keep on helping those models whom appreciate working with us.

My whole business is to enhance the models experience and income in a positive and healthy way, nothing less. It may or may not be for you, but I can say almost all the models are making more money than if they were at it alone
The-Bachelor "I always do my best to make sure that the models have a clear understanding of the business and its operations while being as transparent as possible. Any successful person in business knows that it takes money to make money and I have an entire team available to each and every model to speed up their success"
RecessionGirlz is a studio. The man running it is a male cam model that goes by the name "The Bachelor". The site under his recession girl wallpaper is actually ifriends.
I'm pretty sure he gave you a great winning pitch. He will not put your percentage in writing but will try and call you to lie verbally.
He was advertising for a while on myspace and also clist saying make $20-$40 an hour to chat. He's smart because he advertises under regular jobs and is offering you the non sex section of Ifriends.
His goal is to get you to do the adult side and he'll push for that.
His percentage cut to you is 20-25%. When if you joined ifriends yourself you make 50%. So yes he wants to take half your earnings for doing nothing.
He'll also make money off of any referrals you do and just for you signing up.

If yor business is legitimate you dont need 3 pages to explain its legitimacy. Youre a studio for ifriends. Fullstop.
1. Youre not a woman, posts here are immediately restricted to women only, so unless you lied (duh) youre not supposed to post here. There is no one posting on your 'behalf'. (http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?168949-Freecamstars-com&p=2315700#post2315700) I expect every male-owned studio will continue to do this since this thread is getting movement in other forums but more importantly models are searching stuio names to research you all... which I think many never anticipated.
2. Youre still a studio, so I am not removing your name. The function of this thread is educational, so personally Im not going to bury useful information with debates with studios over whether or not studios are a good idea. Theyre not for so many reasons already listed that I wont allow to be buried. Studios only benefit the site and th studio owner, not he performer - this has been documented here and on every adult webmaster forum that mock and degrade cam performers for their cut. So much of the sex industry is built on passive handouts to ppl who dont do much of anything - ppl scrambling to collect money off of the people doing the actual work. CamGirls aready have enough peoople dipping their fingers into our income. Pimping IS easy. So Im over it. Im over virtual studios. Im over studio arguments for why they deceive performers when we fully informed about how pointless you all are. Im over this whole lazyman business. Im over it. Im over you.
3. Scroll down. Looks like something about you all is already suspicious? It has nothing to do with Stripperweb that so many people have been looking up if your studio is a scam or not. It is on you for wrecking your business's image and legitimacy beforehand. If something wasnt suspect abot RecessionGirlz SO many ppl wouldnt be googling yoou all with the word 'scam' attached to it. I have tons of studios listed but for some reason tons of ppl being recruited for RecessionGirlz seem to hit this thread the hardest. Good. I want them to read this long unreadable defense. Youre still a studio for ifriends and performers will still earn more by signing directly, nothning I or cherryblossomspring have really been disproven.EDIT, 3.26.2012: This feature appears to be gone now? Well it used to show how ppl found this thread and it was full of "Recession Girls scam" search terms.
4. Petty comment: I hate your studio's name.
But at least you tried.
Good luck to you.

The words "!nternet m0del!ng" are erased from all of my posts in this thread
Is this a macro to control spam? Like people cant even write the studio name here? hahahaha. Pwned.
Downside it makes it harder for ppl to find this thread who are looking for reviews of !nternet m0del!ng and makes some posts in the archives and in this sticky indecipherable, but hey whatever works to get them the fuck out tbh. I support this.

I read this like a Bible and used your direct links but something that confuses me is that Streamate has the "earn up to $10,000 a month!" gimmick and Cams.com just told me that models only earn 29.25% (yes that exact figure) which just falls within your studio criteria. So what gives?

I can edit #5 to add it "probably" or "most likely" for clarity, because now rereading it - the language isnt ideal if that is what youre getting at. So, thanks. But for Streamate even though that is what is on the Streamatemodels.com signup, if you contact customer service they will tell you your payout percentage and explain your PPM fees can vary as an independent performer - part of #5's (up until now unclear language) is studios concealing info if you were ask for payment details.
Ill clarify. Thanks.
If that isnt what youre pointing out -the links included in this thread are all direct links for signing up directly, not for studios.
Wanted to add that the disclaimer for the rules is - they're guidelines, and if youre not sure if a site is a studio or a direct link, to ask here. If one rule out of the 14 or so listed doesnt apply for 1-2 mainstream sites, it doesnt negate the rest.

Gotcha. Thanks!
I'm new to this whole thing and while the idea of me being on the Internet for all to see (blah blah blah) doesn't bother me, being scammed does. Ideally I'd like MFC but I'd read on here that it's a long process to make money and I'd like something a bit quicker (which I've heard about SM) but then the language caught me off guard. So thank you for clarifying that for me.

Wow, when I googled 'how to be a webcam model', I get yahoo answers and experience project forums SPAMMED TO DEATH with studio spammers, no wonder all these girls are joining them. . Can you ladies help me out. So I almost signed up with a studio today to work on Streamate because I would be able to receive daily pay. However, before I could complete my application I backed out because I realized that I'd rather wait to get my pay in the mail then deal with the obligations a studio may place on me. When I told the guy at the studio he told me he was going to have Streamate blacklist me and deny me an independent account because he is corporate and knows the CEO. Do you think he has the power to do so? I did not do anything wrong and was very polite.

So you didnt complete the application? Some studios can keep you off of signing up independently for 6months to 1year. Ive only heard of one that seems to be impossible to leave, the studio owner knows the CEO but they dont offer daily pay - and that studio I almost signed up for it ages ago pre-SW and when I told them I was backing out they gave me no hassle and wished me luck? I cant know if it is them or their recruitment tactics changed, but I doubt it.... so I think this guy is full of hot air.
It sounds like a scare tactic to keep you from signing up independently and begrudgingly sign up with him - but since you didnt complete the application you didnt really sign a contract with him, is my guess? Especially since it sounds like you said this on the same day as you started to sign up, it sounds like the last resort of a desperate studio owner who needs more signups...
But we cant know for sure until you try unfortunately. You should try signing up for SM. You can contact awmvanessa here and ask her to help you process it since she is a SM representative that helps with applications. Bonus is she'll lift the 3week wait time for your first check (no studio fees or anything, she isnt a studio). It'll probably go through is my guess since studio owners are known to throw the whole "I know the owner" crap around

Okay, so quick question (because I am totally new to all of this and completely clueless).
I decided to sign up with streamate, and clicked the link given in the first post.
It took me to streamatemodels.com where the site is called Streamate Limited. Is this the correct, legit site? Because they are asking for a SSN, so I don't really want to give it out to a scam site.
Because when I Google search Streamate, the first result I get is;
www.streamate.com/
Streamate Original Live Sex Video Cam Girls. Sexy Girls at Home and Studios with Live XXX Sex Cams & Live Girls.
So what I'm wondering is if I am at the right site, and why when I click around that search result website, it takes me to a different model sign up page? Is that site a scam?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm just worried about putting information out there to the wrong company. :-\

How do you know that you are signed up with a studio?
My story: recently i discovered i,m earning 30% instead of 35% as an independent model. To my knowledge i never signed up under a studio. I asked customer support to look into my account, and received two contradictory responses: that i,m under "a" studio (who knows witch?), and the other one that my account is not under a studio. So how do i know what's really going on?

Noo no no nooooo not dumb at all, I think it is awesome you're doublechecking to be honest. You totally should!
One way to ensure the links are correct is if you go to Streamate.com (or go to the site you want to sign up for) - scroll down. Click 'apply to be a model' and that should direct you to the site's direct signup application - for Streamate it is http://www.streamatemodels.com/
Definitely doublecheck that process to make sure. Or perhaps someone else will chime in so you get confirmation :)
But if ever in doubt - definitely ask here. No need to ever apologize for making sure youre not being scammed, seriously!

Yes, you are at the right site to sign up. Streamate.com is the actual site name where your live webcam sessions will appear (after you have completed sign-up, and your account has been approved/activated on the site). Streamatemodels.com is the official Streamate Model site/homepage for Streamate models where existing models can log in, models with pending-approval or partially-completed accounts can log in/complete sign-up, and new models can sign up for a new account. Streamates Ltd. is the name of the company that owns streamate.com. I hope this helps!

Well, I used her a bit before she became an open secret so Im not sure if she's overwhelmed by a heavier workload so turnaround time may not still be as super lightening fast (not trying to cast doubt on her services - just letting you know that my direct experience with her is an outdated review ) but cant hurt to try. In case you want to be certain before pulling the trigger, you can even ask her via PM about how she works or even here if you want it to be public / verified by others.

Awesome, thank you so much-I'll send her a message and give it a shot. If there is a chance I get all all my stuff approved more quickly and get that annoying 3 week hold on my check to go away, that would be great!
Thank you again for your help! I'm so glad I found this forum-I'd be totally lost without it.
Now all I have to do is work on catching the fake gold and free peepers.

I had signed up with my boyfriend to do couples webcam stuff through .com back in Oct. We worked twice and he didn't like the starting and stopping, so we never went back on. I got an email that said my account was deactivated in Dec. Does this mean I can sign up with whatever mega site I want now? I didn't even realize I was commited to them for any length of time. I have to get high speed internet when I move into an apt, but I want to be prepared bec/ I've been out of work since the nanny gig didn't work out (freaks wanted to swing w/ me and my bf). Anyhow, getting started right to make the most $ is top of my priorities now. Thank you for any advice you guys have. I'll be reading these very helpful threads in the meantime. =)

If you were signed up for a studio, id say go for it. That is about 7-8months of not streaming so in most cases (not all but most) you should be good to go.
If you find youre under contract still for one studio - most studios only work with one site, so as long as you know which site you appear on, you should be able to work any other major site with no issue. For cam sites the exclusivity clause in your independent modeling contract isnt firm, so go for it
If youre stuck we can try (try) to get you off of the original contract if possible but I think youll be OK!
