Hi Everyone,

This is a great thread, and I wish I had found this site while I was doing research. Obviously I didn't really know "what" to be researching. Indie vs studio etc...
Today was my first "official" day camming. I signed up through hideaway cam yesterday, they did have me set up within hours on streamate.
I did 13 private sessions, I have no idea if that is good or horrible for a first day. 33 favorites...again nothing to measure this by as a first day noob.

I admit I was disappointed when I looked over my daily earnings, but now will be scouring this site for tips and advice on how to keep the pvt show going longer.

Thanks for the great thread, it is very informative and helpful!

Okay so I screwed up by not doing extensive research, can we say I was desperate and overwhelmed by bills? I cammed back in 2009 then took a break after school was done. I went back in 11/2013 because I went back to school and needed extra money for bills. Now I am being stalked online by some scumbag agency Happycammodels.com who won't leave me alone because I terminated the contract due to him violating chaturbate.com policies and skype policies. I asked for 50% because I saw him doing this or I will terminate the contract due to being misled by him (thinking he was legit). Now he is emailing chaturbate.com to get me terminated or under his account so he can start taking 80% of my pay again like he was on streammatemodels.com.

Chaturbate's entire system is so laissez-faire I'd be very shocked if he could enforce anything on there or that they'd be willing to do it for him. Not one model that has signed up in my program on CB has been denied a transfer or a new account for any reason, even if they have another operational account in the system. Its so primitive that even I have no idea who is in my studio until their tokens cash out, there's no way to even pull a roster. Models could be jumping in and out all day long and I'd have no idea.

And you're saying under SM you were only getting 7% site payout? That's insane.

I work in a studio now for streamate.com and I am only making 30% so how much does streamate give models working from home ? I am getting a Mac Book from my wishlist this week to work from home :))

Assuming you don't work in some areas of (if I recall correctly) Eastern Europe or South America your cut working directly with Streamate would be 35%. :)

so finally finished reading this entire thread, and most of another one, I am not sure if this is the right spot but I am sorta new to this, I did try before but I was with a studio, but my question is this
1) I am thinking of going with SM but have read alot about girls using more than one site, should I do that to?
2) and I have also been hear about being paid with a third party service but having trouble search for info on that, so is how should I set up getting paid?

sorry if this is in the wrong thread but I am getting lost on here and really trying to learn, but I am so happy I found this place :D! So thank you all for being here.

I would stay start with SM, it's pretty newbie friendly. If you do other sites, but I wouldn't recommend trying to split cam or anything like that until you understand how those sites work on their own first. I wouldn't sign up for a site until you are ready to work it so that you don't squander the new model status.

As for 2) It depends on what you need. I did SM with direct deposit or checks at first. Payoneer is good if you want to ensure it goes directly to your bank account and you aren't in the US or want the debit card. You'd set this up when you sign up for a site that use payoneer.

There is also a camgirl run daily pay studio (Boleyn Models run by KatyBoleyn) that pays you daily and you can leave at any time that works with SM, MFC, CB and IMlive. I'm a part of it and I love it. It costs a percentage of your pay though for the daily option. Here is the thread on that for more information https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?189264-The-BoleynModels-InstantPay-Thread

Hello everyone,

I'm new to all of this - I was on sexyjobs.com and got a lot of emails from recruiters or studios, of course I didn't know that at the time. So I did "some" research and I signed on with 4 sites. Tell me if you've heard of them:

getpaid2model.com (After reading this thread, I know realize I signed with a studio whose network is Myfreecams.com)
internationalcamclub.com (Another studio; they go through Mongocams network)
queenscitydelights.com (They told me from the start that they are a studio and their network is Flirt4free.com)
streamate.com (The only site where I signed on directly, but I haven't cammed yet)

I also signed on with this one. Has anyone ever heard of it?: Camfly.com (I haven't cammed on that one either)

Knowing what I know now, I logged into my Mongocams site and asked to be deleted. They said I can do this on my own by disabling my account. Basically it means if I want to cam on Mongo I'd have to write them an email so they can reactivate it. I did cam, but I didn't get a show or earn anything so it's not a total loss.

I haven't cammed for Queenscitydelights, aka. Flirt4free yet. Part of me doesn't want to anymore...I guess I'll have to contact Queens and tell them to delete me or something.

I'm mostly pissed about getpaid2model because I cammed on Myfreecams and got tips and a private..so now what I calculated to be my earnings will be less....so I'm thinking I'm going to have to delete my account AFTER I'm paid, of course and just completely come up with a new persona.

Please guide me.

I've had the same thing as SophieL happened to me, I signed up directly on SM site, no white labels, no weird links or whatever.
And after the two first payed sessions I saw that I was getting around 28%! And when I wanted to see details I saw a link "contact your studio about payement details". I ve never had any studio, I ve signed up on other sites always directly.
I wrote them an e-mail about it. And recieved a very informative answer:

Please contact your account manager directly for information regarding your account and payments. We have forwarded this message to your account manager as well. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with.

Thanks,

So I'll see if I get any reply from my so-called "account manager" but in any case I dont see what much can I say to him/her apart from go F uself.... I am obviously are not goint to continue working there under such conditions.
Its kind of sucks cause traffic seemed good there, and I spent more time in exclusive chat there than in free for the time I was online.
Now Im trying to figure out how to close my account, but I guess I cant do this either, as its only my "account manager" who can.

This is really fucked up as I was during all stages only on http://www.streamatemodels.com/ =/
I've had a feeling that they "apply" studios by default to models from some countries. Thinking as I have double citizenship, trying to open another account as another person, the problem is my name is still the same, so dont know if it flags or not...

So I have and update for my situation. I did indeed receive a mail from my "account manager" saying:
Hello,

Everything is okay with your account.

All individual performers are handled by your account manager, it is a standard email sent out to all performers to contact your studio.

You will receive the money you have earned on the scheduled payout dates to your payoneer account.

Please use the link below to set up your account to be paid to payoneer:

https://payouts.payoneer.com/partners/lp.aspx?token=1e4a3a48ab414f978f6eeb7db4f4ad1257F9 DBADEE

Select in the upper right corner *already applied for payoneer card*
Complete the information requested.

If you do NOT have a payoneer account also use the link about and create a new account.

If you have any questions please respond to this email and always include your screen name.

Support

So this e-mail is sent to me from support (a) strematemodel.net Smart! But obviously it is a studio.
So now I dont know what to do, to link my Payoneer account anyway (I checked the link, its safe and not fake) or to just ignore it and ask them to close my account? I ve only been online for few hours and after their 8% comission I only have like 130$ there pending. I dont know if adding this studio to my Payoneer can be used later as a proof of anything? =/
The worst part is I already have streamate linked to my Payoneer. As I said earlier I never signed up under studio, and made my registration directly and I also had to link SM directly. I still have no idea how that might have happened AFTER my application and everything was approved.

Anyways, what do you think would be the best move?

I personally went through one of that sites that offer you help and bla bla bla before I started with this camming experience, they are really well promoted and they show at the top in searches, .. personally I think it doesn´t worth going through to any of those intermediaires, work will be the same keeping a part of your percentage.

Just poking some advice in but I've learned the easiest way to tell a studio/white label is by clicking the privacy policy at the bottom. It usually contains the mother sites name for legality.

I made the mistake of signing up through Internet Modeling and now I only make 20% of what customers pay. IM said I was "approved" for livecam.com, adultvideos.com, and webcammodels.com (the last one is especially ridiculous). I have only been working through livecam, but that actually just takes me to the streamate page. So, I guess I am somehow working with streamate but only making 20% versus 35%. I signed a contract so I don't really know if there's anything I can do about that, but I saw that some people in this thread said they found a way to get around it somehow.

I also want to start doing a show with my friend, and I want to make sure she can sign up in a way that will get her the right amount of money while still being able to work with me.

This stuff is pretty confusing for me.

Ladies, I have a warning to issue about a redesigned British virtual webcam studio that shall come out in September 2014...this new virtual studio will be created by the Blur Marketing Group. This is virtual webcam studio will be called "Ispyadultjobs.com" and the company has been trying to milk free work out of freelancers in the adult industry. The owner is a flake who does not show up for several appointments with freelancers. Some employers at Blur Marketing Group openly encourage the owner to create several virtual webcam studios. In addition, all British models and members of the Eu will make only 10 percent of their earnings. In addition, your earnings will be used to pay off 50,000 euro salary of the affiliate marketing manager and several software engineers. They will be recruiting UK and EU Models.

Here is some of their work:

I've been camming for 3 years, and just realized a while back I accidentally signed up through a studio. I don't know what site it's for, camrjobs, but I never cammed through it and contacted my "agent" about terminating my account. We'll see how that goes. Agencies are such a scam.

I can also unsubscribe you from our mailing list.

Please confirm thats what you would like me to do."

This happened to me, SophieL. I know for a fact I signed up with Streamate Models a few years ago. It wasn't Streamate.net or anything like that. I was on the Streamate.com page and clicked 'Become a Model". It was not a white label.

Somehow I got signed on with iCamz. I know I looked at the iCamz page, but at the time it seemed shady to me and I went with the Streamate Models page. I also did some research.

I was bewildered at the time, and I haven't really shared this with anyone...but I think that they might track you with cookies on your browser. I'm not really sure how they do it, but it might be similar to a referrals link. Be cautious.

Update on ispyadultjobs.com aka ISpyLive

Remember this virtual webcam studio I mention back in August 2014. Well they are up and running both a phone sex studio and webcam studio. Blur Marketing Group has managed to create the world first's phone sex and webcam studio for European models. Please EU and British Models do not be fool by these tricks. I have first-hand knowledge that this company will take most of your earnings and leave you will 10 percent. Phone sex operators in Europe...stay away please! Not only that but their site is full of stolen content as well as calling X-man actress, Famke Janssen a transexual.

I just started a week ago, is there any way I can get the hell out of my i-camz contract and work as an independent model on stream mate? Please help. How long am I stuck with i-camz for and once the contract expires what do I do to stop working with them? Can I back out early since i haven't been paid yet and I'm a brand new model?

Is Streamaterecruiting (http://streamaterecruiting.com/) legit or it's another studio? I may be mistaken but I think I read someone on here telling that registering via SM homepage can get models from some countries registered with a studio while Streamaterecruiting registers with SM directly.

I have a question on all this, we stupidly signed up through IM.... just wondering if there are any other "Direct" sites that we can sign up on as a couple aside from Streamate? We offer a very unique product and would like to be able to make some money... I'd like to be able to do solo shows as well from the same account. Any feedback is greatly appreciated, also what is the process in quitting IM.... is that going to be difficult? We signed up as an agent first, and we'll keep that, and just tell them we aren't interested in pursuing the modelling part ourselves? Sound feasible?

IM has the longest waiting period (1 year) aside from Camsharks (which is lifetime). However, their system goes from the "last time you streamed", and one of the dirty tricks is to log into the model's account periodically and let it run for a minute...which means the clock resets and you can never get away.

You need to email SM from inside your account after you log in and tell them you want to permanently close that account to make sure the clock keeps ticking.

IM regularly screws their agents also, be wary. If you feel screwed by modeling with them (as they do take half your pay), why in the world would you want sign up other people for that? I do know a program you could recruit for that is far more model friendly...just sayin'.

I have not broadcasted through them however I did already set up my Streammaterealgirlsoncam account. ^^ Hi girls, If you haven't broadcasted on your account, make sure you don't. I would contact SM tech support and tell them you haven't broadcasted yet and to close your account.

If you have broadcasted already and want out of the IM contract, your best bet and help would be Katy Boleyn. She is great and knows the ins and outs - she'll be able to tell you if it's possible to get out of the contract and how to go about it. If it's not possible, the waiting time to be released from IM is one year before you can start a new account with SM directly. During that year, make sure IM doesn't log in to SM on your behalf to reset the one year waiting period -- it has been written here that is one of their tricks.

Good luck ladies!!

Hey lovelies, just a quick heads up. The worst studio in the business has rebranded itself. its now called Imodeling and what it does is it sets up twitter accounts specific to your country, so you might think "oh cool, my country has a cam site/studio, this is nice". DON'T, its the same damn studio that gives you 20% on SM.

If ANY twitter URL looks like so www.imodeling.net run away. These people will not help you. You'll see a ton of fan signs and youtube videos of models who "love" it, but seriously, don't fall for it. They are getting sneakier by the day.

Thank you for all this!!! I was looking into a studio too. I do have one question. In the scanning section you said I can take a picture of my I.D. with my phone or webcam, was that sarcasm or truth? Silly question I know but I don't know where to get my I.D. scanned...

^^ Truth. I don't have a home scanner but I have found that under the right light, my phone takes really high quality pictures, so just turn your flash off, take the pic and upload it, it should be fine.
