Courtney I've had the exact same cam2cam experience several times. The customer definitely had no idea & I felt like I was invading their privacy. I wonder if it's the customer's cam settings or Naked software, or both? Like Courtney said, is this true in reverse & they see us? I take precautions between shows and clean up/dress off cam. I also don't say anything in case the microphone picks up my sarcastic comments about one minute men. Plus I swear a lot. :)
I agree w/ hottie & others who have said before, unless my camera is unplugged & laptop closed, there is always the possibility someone could watch.

Holy crap, I kind of want to call tech support and ask what's up with this. It would be bad enough if it was a one time glitch, but if it's happening a bunch to different people they need to fix their shit. Invasion of privacy is Definitely the first thing I thought of, going both ways. I also often mutter curses after a short private shows ends, guess I'd better stop that :) I know when you log out of free chat or the private ends it gives you the 10 second countdown so I always kind of assumed my cam could be seen/heard for those last 10 seconds, but I definitely saw the guy last night for longer than that.
I'm a little paranoid too. I use the Logitech C910 which has lights that turn blue when it's in use. I always assumed it would be possible I could be watched/recorded if the light was on, but it seems like naked has it built in so that you can spy on people. Freaking creepy.

Something is weird today it seems. Tech issues are happening - two guys not able to start Cam2cam and one guy came to private and could not see me. He could see fine in free chat though.
I emailed their tech support and they told me to tell the customer to update adobe flash and java, but I honestly think it's on Naked's end because it worked fine for them a few days ago.
Anyone else having this issues? Thx

Dang, that's shitty, Laurie. No, I haven't had those issues today thank goodness, but I only worked until 6am MST this morning (I've been working overnights). A couple of nights ago I did have a reg of mine get kicked out of private twice but otherwise things seemed to be okay. Also, now that you mention it last night I did have someone tell me he couldn't get his cam to work BUT he was new and didn't realize I could only see him if he took me private or if I manually clicked on the button to view him in free. He did take me private and at first his cam was black, he had to restart it and we successfully C2Ced after that, but in that instance I think that was just that user being confused and not really a site issue.

I would just like to say a big FUCK YOU to naked.com.
Today I logged in to FIVE chargebacks from three members, totaling $22.50. Suspiciously, they were all applied on 1/4, but the actual dates of all of the transactions were all on 12/26. If you work on naked.com you know how LONG it takes to make $20. I don't really feel like spending the rest of my afternoon working to earn back what was essentially stolen from me.
Also? Every single one of those chargebacks was from free chat tipping. I will officially no longer be offering flashes of ANY kind in free chat. It's bad enough when one guy gets a free show. I don't need 20+ guys at a time getting a free show. Fuck that noise. If they want to drop my placement because I refuse to get naked in free chat anymore, so be it. If they can give away $1,000 a day in free money but can't cover chargebacks then they don't deserve having me lure in guys with Public Nudity That I Am Not Getting Paid For.
I swear, I am convinced there is something SERIOUSLY fucked up with their chargebacks. Actually I am 90% sure they are skimming. I have one custie who followed me to MGF (thank God) and has spent HUNDREDS of dollars of me on MGF in the past month, no problems. Suspiciously, he saw me on naked one night a couple of weeks ago and did a short show on naked and boom, it was charged back. I seriously doubt that the guy who spent over $500 on me in one night on MGF couldn't afford the $7.93 CB naked applied. Something is VERY fishy and I am fucking Over it.

I had chargebacks too it's so hard to make money there compared to in 2012 and early last year. I can't wait to get my I7 laptop soon so I can start split camming and branch off. I'm tired of putting in hours on naked with nothing to show for it. They just sit in my room for hrs looking at me do nothing like a bunch of cheap freeloading idiots just waiting for someone else to tip so they can see something for free.

This is EXACTLY how I feel. Like, exactly. I am also saving for an i7, that is literally the first thing I have on my list of goals for this year, because I really just Do Not have the time to waste on naked anymore. I'm averaging less than minimum wage (not counting my other site), I have other things I want to achieve professionally outside of camming, and I can't accomplish those things if I am forced to spend 10+ hours a day in free chat. It's especially sad because my cost of living is very low and my daily goal is very modest. Having to work overnights until the sun comes up and not even have a triple digit earning day is fucking pathetic. I've already signed up for other free chat sites, I was hoping to wait until I get a new computer to start camming elsewhere and make the most of my new girl status but to be frank, I can't afford to wait. Maybe if my money on naked was guaranteed- maybe- then I would still try but I try and try and what's the point? I have been complaining about wanting to quit naked for months but one excuse after another has made me stay. In my case it's mostly been financial, needing money right now and not being able to wait 2+ weeks to get my first paycheck elsewhere, but I think I'm starting to realize that the longer I stay on this fucked up site the longer I'm going to stay broke.

I was supposed to leave a while ago too and just stayed because of the daily pay but I really need to get into action the site is getting worse and worse. The I7 will help a whole lot. I hate staying up all night I'm a morning person and I'd rather cam in the morning and then have time to accomplish other goals. This year I don't want to feel like camming is my life with still no money.

Hugs, Courtney. ^This part raises an eyebrow for sure. I know what you mean about branching out. My hope in the next few months is to run naked with other sites. One day I'll have the courage (and fanbase) to go indy. Your goals sound great and it will probably feel even better to detach from a site that's not doing right by you. Naked irritated me so much at Christmas I finally logged off and did not come back until today (2 weeks later). haha felt so good.
Take care and hang in there! Positive thoughts and cash flow to all. :)

The "charge backs" on Naked are a PIA for me as well.......seems like they come in bunches as well! When they come, I feel I am swimming vs the tide!

One of my best customers had something really shitty happen, they triple billed him so when he called to get 2 of the 3 sets of charges dropped. They did but then they shut down his whole account as "fraud" -THANKFULLY there were no chargebacks but it was pretty crappy losing $100+ of guaranteed income a week. He spoiled 2 other girls too and even though we rallied around him to try to get them to bring him back, Naked wouldn't budge. I guess the site has an aversion to making money lately.
CourtneyRaine

@Via, you are too kind. And yes, this CB thing on naked is super suspicious. MGF does not pass chargebacks on to girls BUT if there is anything fishy going on they will unverify your account until it gets sorted. I know a girl who recently had her acct temporarily unverified over a $60 transaction. My customer joined and spent $525 on me the very first night, and has since bought more videos and cam shows from me. You best believe that they would have unverified me if there was an issue with his card, because it does seem a little suspicious for someone to join and spend that much immediately. Yet, everything went through A-OK. This is why I don't believe for a second that he attempted to charge back and two and a half minute show on naked. Either the site made an error, or they are purposely skimming.
@Shana, YES, swimming against the tide is the perfect way to describe it! For my most recent batch of CBs they were all supposedly from December 26th (I had to go back and check all of my records manually), and yet were all applied on January 4th. Call me crazy but I have a very hard time believing that three different guys cried fraud at the same time on free chat tips they spent a week and a half earlier.
@Karma, that is FUCKED up! I really hope you cam elsewhere and your reg has followed you there. I really don't see why a customer's account would be shut down over an error that the site made. Honestly, as a customer, I don't think I'd want to keep spending money on a site that is so disorganized with billing. I'd rather spend my hard earned money elsewhere.
I really need to work but I really, really don't want to. I just keep thinking about having to spend the first 2-4 hours (at least) working for free, essentially, to make up for those CBs and finally be making a profit. Now I don't even want to do any nudity in free chat, because it seems 90% of my CBs have been from free chat tipping. I felt cheap enough with a ton of viewers getting free nudity on another person's dime, I just can't justify offering it anymore if it's not guaranteed money for me. I do make more money off privates than tips but it's something like 65-35. It's going to SUCK losing even more income because I won't flash for tips anymore. I am simply dreading logging in.

HOLY LAWD, please someone tell me this is not a "thing" and the customer I was chatting with is just mistaken: Is there actually a naked.com 1,000 free credit raffle for customers?!
Tonight was my first night with the status, "Nudity in Private or Group ONLY" and a member came in free chat asking what would happen if someone tipped me 100. I had to say I'd just smile and say thank you. He then PMed me asking, "ok what if on friday someone wins the naked.com 1,000 free credits and tips raffle then gives them to you and want a show in free chat would you give it to them"? I said no again, but PLEASE tell me naked is NOT doing a $1,000 raffle for members when they refuse to even cover model chargebacks?! Sweet Jesus please tell me that member is just confused or made that up because ffs if this is a real thing I *will* flip my shit.

Hmmm.
What does everyone think about the new chargeback policy they implemented today?
I love that they are going to cover them unless it's "model fraud" but I'm a bit shocked at how they put it.
I would never do this and I even immediately ban any idiot who even suggests that I give him outside contact info or says the word skype.
Still, I feel a bit uncomfortable about the way they phrase it in the notice. It's incredible to me that a model would be stupid enough to actually commit fraud with any of these viewers but from what they say it's happening.
Getting rid of scamming models though should help the site stay profitable, and yay, no more logging in to find your day had been wasted due to chargebacks.

I have not been active for long time after a big chargeback. I didn't get the message, can you please post it here Laurielegs? . They need to patrol the rooms more often , 99.9% of the models are not scammers but many of the members are always trying to get cheaper or free shows. This week I saw a guy posting in my friends room something like : " I sell members accounts with credits for 70% of the real cost, contact me on skype ".
CourtneyRaine
01-10-2014, 01:59 PM
Conny, I GOT THAT GUY IN MY ROOM TOO! "Legitaccounts" right? But I took a screencap and emailed it to support asking them to ban him for fraud on... Wednesday night? They wrote me back within two hours that they had deactivated that account. I'm not sure if it was the same guy but Legitaccounts posted that in my free chat once, left before I could ban him, I did a private and then logged out to email support, and when I was back in free chat an hour later he came in my room posting the exact same spam message. I told him not to even bother, I've already reported him and he'll be banned from here soon. His response? "lol lose some weight"
I am telling you, the manners on these guys just gets me every time. So you're trying to steal money out of my pocket and then turn around and insult me when I shut you down? Cute.
Laurie, I didn't get any notice from naked about a new chargeback policy, neither in my personal email or in my naked inbox. Can you post the message? I wonder why some of us didn't get it and others did... Kind of makes me suspicious. Hopefully they heard me bitching and moaning to my free chat about how I will NOT be doing nudity in free anymore due to naked not protecting me, and the two days this week I worked this week with that no nudity I made less than half of what I normally do. I can only hope that other models will benefit from this, as it sounds like I will.
How do they define model fraud? Does that mean when a model is in cahoots with a member (presumably to help raise her placement for the daily $1,000 contest?), or does that mean something completely different? I can only imagine them passing a cb onto a model for not squirting or doing anal when the member thought she would :(
ETA: I just called naked to ask about the new CB system and he did confirm that they just started working on it today (it's not retroactive). They'll basically be going through chat logs to determine if the model had anything to do with the cb. I had him clarify for me, if the credit card is stolen I won't be charged back, but if I say something like, "Hey, tip me here and I'll give you a cut" then I will be charged for that. Lol obviously. I thought implementing chargebacks was a way to prevent that from happening in the first place? Oh and he said they'll be mailing out something about it soon, but people who use iModel got a pop up about it already. I broadcast exclusively through my browser which is why I didn't see it.

Yes Courtney it was the same nickname, I also took a screenshot. I'll be more then happy to come back if chargebcks are over. I think they heard you bitching lol . I hope they heard this bit : " Don't allow name changes", guys are always changing their names for the ones who actually tip.
Thank you for the update darling :-)

01-10-2014, 02:25 PM
^Haha I bitched about it a LOT! And sadly this week 90% of my earnings was from one custie who's practically in love with me and sent me pity tips because he felt bad that I got taken advantage of and did nude free chat shows without being paid for them. If not for his pity I would have made shit. But that's the thing- these guys shouldn't be paying us because they feel sorry for us, they should be paying us because they appreciate the sexy times we give them. Hopefully now I can go back to doing my job in the manner that pleases them and makes me the most money, and *gasp* actually get paid for it.
Oh yes, and I agree they need to stop that name change bullshit!

I guess they won't mind me posting it here since it is an official policy:
"New Policy - Regarding Payment Deductions
Due to recent increases in credit card fraud, we have implemented a new independent performer policy effective immediately. All refunds and chargebacks associated with fraudulent activity will be deucted from your payout pending investigation. In the event that we determine that you are an active participant, such instances will be considered "Performer Fraud" and will also result in termination of your account and as appropriate legal action.
If we determine that you did not participate in fraudulent activity your impacted payments will be restored. We will make every effort to minimize the effect of chargebacks not involving any wrongdoing on the part of the performer.
Please read below regarding what constitutes "Performer Fraud."
What is Performer fraud?
Performer Fraud is when a user approaches you to participate in a fraud scheme, typically with stolen credit cards. Users may promise tips and private shows in exchange for "kick-backs" or payment. Be warned that this is criminal activity.
Performer Fraud also includes anyone who knowingly, accepting tips, private shows, spy shows, etc. with users who intend to refund or "chargeback" his credit card transactions after the fact.
Any independent performer sending payment to another user by definition is engaged in Performer Fraud.
Be Aware that you are being Monitored
Please be aware that all chart logs, private messages (PMs) are now monitored and reviewed prior to every model payout.
Any confirmed Performer Fraud will result in suspended payment, termination of your performer account and notification to federal and/or international law enforcement"

Ugh.
I just noticed they are STILL deducting the money and wil refund it later. That could still potentially fuck me up. I mean its nice that it would be covered later, but who knows how long it would take for their investigation and in the meantime I'm out that money.
I guess this is yet another wakeup call that I need to put this site on the back burner and quit relying on daily pay.
I shudder to think how much money I am losing by not working higher traffic sites and all the $10 fees I've lost by giving them that fee just to get paid.

Lol I thought the exact opposite; I figured I didn't get the notice because they assumed I'll be getting chargebacks so they won't be covering me :)
The way they worded that was... weird and a bit extreme in my opinion, as they should have been penalizing fraudulent models and protecting innocent ones all along in my opinion, but since I don't even remotely engage in that kind of behavior it looks like this will benefit me. Thanks for posting the notice, I definitely did NOT receive it. There is a big red and yellow banner at the top of my page when I log in, but that just says to make more money using HD.

I have that too, but the orange/yellow notice won't show until you are actually in the live module you click where it says 1 on 1 chat. It's right under the Click when ready to go online button. It's annoying too because it's taking up part of my screen.
I thought the way it was worded is extreme too. In fact, it makes me not want to log on there at all today. I already missed payout anyway due to their shitty nonpaying traffic. I think I'm going to go work another site for awhile until I feel better about their insulting tone.

OOOH, I see it now. Yeah, I haven't broadcasted since very early Thursday morning so that explains why I missed it. Lol, I wonder why tech support told me that iModel users just got a pop-up. Funny.

Who the hell would agree to give a member a kick-back KNOWING that we are no longer protected by chargebacks? I'm sure it happened a lot before when they still covered us, but now? Has anyone on here ever even had a member make that kind of offer? I certainly have not. The fishiest thing I ever saw was that "LEGITACCOUNTS" guy trying to sell naked accounts with credits on them last week, which I already reported, and he didn't give me any money, anyway.
I think the only thing I'm worried about with this is if the customer tells us something fishy *after* the fact. I've never had anyone be stupid enough to tell me they're using someone else's card or account, but with the type of members this site attracts I guess you never know? But then in that case I'd block and report them and naked could just review the chat logs to see timeline of everything so I suppose I shouldn't worry.
I do think it's shitty that models can't send other models tips. Wtf? I don't get how that is "fraud."

Also what suprises me is that even with all of the chargebacks they've passed on to models from the statement credit card fraud has increased.
Does this mean they've gone back to the way things were? I'm not even sure at this point.

Yes, Laurie brought it to our attention. I think you brought up a couple of Really good points; 1. why haven't they removed models who've knowingly been engaging in fraud with members, and 2. why credit card fraud has increased. That second part especially concerns me. I am glad that they are protecting us from CBs we have no knowledge of or control over, and I am glad they are removing girls who are engaging in scams because that hurts the site as a whole, but it does kind of sound like they are losing money.
Know what would save them money? Not giving away $30,000-$31,000/month in bonuses. If they really want to give the top models and incentive to stay they can go back to just doing weekend contests. I don't know, I could be wrong but I am starting to get the feeling that the site is really hurting it. I know other models and I are definitely seeing less money compared to this time last year, and all these changes within the site make me nervous.
As far as whether this means they're going back to the way things were, I understood it to mean that if you get a CB one of two things will happen to you- either they will review the chat logs and determine you didn't know about or encourage the CB so you will give you that money back, OR they will find out that you had something to do with the CB so they will kick you off the site and report you to the authorities.

I think they should do away with model prizes also. It's just inviting fraud I think. It really makes me feel they are making honest models feel accused and rewarding the scammers until they are found, then banning them when it's already too late and the money is in their pocket.
Prizes are insulting to models who are there to work. I'm not there to gamble.
Also there is that scammer guy selling accounts. Why can't they put a stop to him?
He did show up in my room spamming AGAIN and I took a screen shot, logged out and reported him. They answered me right away and said the account is deactivated, but apparently he just keeps making accounts. Something is seriously wrong there and I hope they get a handle on it soon.
The lack of communication from Naked bothers me a lot. There has been nothing in my model inbox from them since Thanksgiving.

Unfortunately without finding another private-based site to replace them with, I can't stop broadcasting to wait to go to SM.

Well from what I understand with a chargeback on Naked you are guilty until proven innocent.
Unfortunately they still take them out of your pay until they investigate. Supposedly if they find you didn't commit fraud then you get credited back.

Well from what I understand with a chargeback on Naked you are guilty until proven innocent.
Unfortunately they still take them out of your pay until they investigate. Supposedly if they find you didn't commit fraud then you get credited back.
We are under suspicion. And under surveillance. ffs...
I wonder if we called and asked about a pending cb if they would tell us anything or say it was still "under investigation" and give us a line? How would they handle it, considering the strange manner in which this whole thing played out?

I'm unable to work for SM because I unknowingly signed up to an affiliate or studio or some sort and cannot get out of it until I've stopped broadcasting through them for 6 months. Unfortunately without finding another private-based site to replace them with, I can't stop broadcasting to wait to go to SM.
My real question for you ladies is: Is naked a decent enough as a private-based site that I could work there to make a few hundred dollars a month to make up for quitting that damn affiliate site?
Naked is inconsistent. It's also hard to build up regulars - takes more time than other sites imo. That said, a few hundred dollars a month on the site can be done, it just takes patience.

I'm sorry h0ttie. Can you keep us posted with how the whole CB thing plays out for you? I haven't gotten one since before they started this new policy so I am curious as to how long it will take to get them resolved and refunded. I can't imagine it should take too long to "investigate" it.
As far as working naked as a private-based site, no, I don't think you'll make much unless you already have regulars on the site. I very rarely get new customers anymore, I'd say about 80% for my money comes from regs I've acquired over the 1+ year I've been on there. Also, unless you are going to tip for flashes or do public shows you're probably not going to make much. Up to 40% of my earnings comes from free chat tipping, not privates.

Holy shit I got Hit with 7 Chargebacks when I logged in today totaling to $30 bucks seriously who would even attempt to make 1 and 2 dollar chargebacks seems really fishy also 2 of the chargebacks where from the same user I would have thought they would have banned him when he did it the first time. it seems since they put out that new notice it seems I got hit with tons of chargebacks I hadn't gotten one since september when I first joined and all of the sudden boom chargeback galore.
Really upset since I need to stay here because of the daily pay. I also haven't been making any money at all on here lately. Also how the hell do you get placed at the top of he page I see brand new girl up there all the time hmmmm I am always placed on the 3r row or lower and I have no idea what their algorithm is to come up with placement.

^I'm sorry, Paola. The same thing happened to me earlier this month regarding getting hit with a bunch of CBs all on one day. In my case three of them came from the same guy, and all of them were from tips I had made on December 26th, but the adjustments didn't actually show up until January 4th. That's what makes it seem a little off to me. I dunno, for 3 guys on the same day to have fraudulent charges that weren't caught until a week and a half later doesn't really inspire a lot of confidence in me.
The only thing I can recommend is for you to keep track of ALL of your chargebacks- the date the transaction occurred, the date the CB showed up in your account, the member name (just in case they aren't really banned), and I've also been keeping track of when I cash out so I know the charge is only deducted from my payout once. I did have one issue of them mistakenly hitting me with the same chargeback a month apart. I called and explained it and they refunded me for the second (double) CB without a problem, but since then I don't trust them to keep records so I keep my own. Sad.
Oh, and the placement is rigged. I feel like all sites rig placement to a certain extent so I'm not that distraught over it. At least with naked there is only one page of models. Unless you're in the top two rows that guys see before they have to scroll down, I think everyone else is on a more or less even playing field.

Sorry Paola to hear you got hit with so many cbs. Courtney, thank you for the advice about keeping track of these. They charged you twice for the same cb? I'm so glad for this forum and the ladies who participate. We need to have eyes on all sides of our heads.

I was working this morning and the site went down for over an hour. unacceptable and a waste of my time when I'm trying to work and the site is down. Naked needs to get it together

Yes, it was months ago, though. I had a chargeback from a tip I received on July 3rd. I made a note of the amount and member name, luckily. Then on August 3rd I saw in my adjustments the exact same amount with the same member. I was under the impression that members who commit fraud are banned, plus the fact that it was exactly one month later for the same amount made me suspicious so I called support and told them I think they gave me the same chargeback me twice. I gave them all of the info I had for them to look into it and the adjustment from August completely disappeared within a day or two.
Again, this really doesn't make me too confident. It hasn't happened to me since so hopefully they've updated whatever system they're using to keep track of fraudulent activity, but just in case I like to make a note of everything.

LADIES PLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR STATS AFTER A PRIVATE! There is currently a glitch that has NOT been fixed yet. Your spy folks will show up but not the person who initiated the private. This has been happening the last two days I guess and still isn't corrected as of now. Take notes while you work! You will need to email
[email protected] to fix any discrepancies.

Oh lovely. I have been sick for a few days so I haven't cammed on there. When you say "not show up" do you mean that your money won't show up, or the person who took you private's name won't show up when you check your detailed summary report? I'll be taking notes of names and times regardless, but I REALLY don't feel like having to email them after every private in order to get paid for that show!!!!

As no name OR no money! You have to rely on your memory and the only "evidence" you will have is if any spy users came in the room. They are able to trace it down and contact them. WRITE EVERYTHING DOWN. No rhyme or reason to the glitch, it is just randomly happening. I haven't heard if it has been fixed yet or not.

I just called tech support and they claimed that no one has called or emailed about this issue of privates not showing up so it may be an isolated incident with one model and not a site-wide thing. I haven't worked naked in a week due to being sick so I can't speak from personal knowledge, just repeating what they said. I could keep working on my writing and non-adult gig and no free chat site but I could really use the little extra money naked generates for me. Just don't feel like playing Russian Roulette with my earnings.

^ This is not good- things just disappearing like that. Naked was my glitch-free site (once upon a time). It was a relief to get away from SM and their ever-present tinkering with every darn thing.

I think that means they investigated it and decided to refund you the CB because they found you weren't participating in fraud. Which is a good thing, that's exactly what they said they would do.
Does anyone know about this glitch of not getting paid for privates? My computer died (typing this from the library right now, fml) and I won't be able to cam again until next Wednesday when my new one arrives in the mail. I'm missing out on a ton of work between being sick last week and not having a computer for the rest of this week, so I'm just trying to figure out what is going on for when I jump back into camming next week.

Hi Courtney, I have not experienced this glitch so far. I usually take 1-2 screenshots each session, but I am taking more lately as a precaution. My time on naked has been quite pleasant, actually. Sorry to hear about your computer. That happened to me two years ago, and it was horrible.
A belated thank you to Karma for letting us know about the glitch.
