Feeling really proud of myself for sticking to clean food

^It's a good feeling isn't it :). But annoying when you are craving something delicious. Yesterday I felt like something naughty, it was late...and I literally had nothing in my house that wasn't healthy :O. I'm proud and a little disgusted by that at the same time :P.

Yesterday:
Breakfast:
ACV in Water
Organic Coffee with unsweetened almond milk
Organic Banana

Lunch:
Gluten free sandwich with canned light cream cheese, canned tuna, organic sauerkraut, organic beetroot, organic avocado, organic lettuce.

Dinner:

The other half is white. My dad is white and my stepmom is Filipino. I eat a lot of Filipino dishes so as soon as I saw the picture you posted I knew it looked familiar lol.

Oh nice that's wassup. :)

Breakfast: Canadian bacon, scrambled eggs, green tea.

Lunch: Chipotle burrito bowl - brown rice, pinto beans, fajita mix, chicken, hot salsa, lettuce. Cup of ice water.

Dinner: babyback ribs, mac & cheese, fried chicken, iced tea.

OMG, that sounds like my perfect sandwich. All your food sounds great to me, actually. Love sauerkraut but never considered it in a sandwich. BTW, are you gluten-intolerant or just happened to use gluten-free bread? Because barley is gluten. (I think?) It sucks because the other day my Mum made an awesome chicken and veg soup from scratch, but added loads of barley. And I'm trying to be strict on all gluten. I don't get any stomach pain from it, just bloating. But the main reason is that I'm so much nicer and more energetic when I avoid it.

BlackSheEp3, your junk food posts turn me on, lol. It's like reading culinary erotica.

haha I will tell you they are sinfully good but after eating I feel so guilty. :-D I can say I do my best to run it all off and it seems to be working...my weight is stable at 147 lbs. +/- 3 lbs depending on if food was consumed. Here is something that I find cute, seductive, and delicious:

Very sexy. I have a weakness for BBQ red meat. Though my day-to-day diet is mostly vegetarian for health reasons. Luckily I like healthy food too.

Today:
Greek yogurt, pear, and gluten-free cereal with cinnamon.
Yerba mate.
Soup of pumpkin, sweet potato, broccoli, baby spinach and cannellini beans.
Fat-free soy latte.
Banana.
Homemade sauerkraut, steamed carrots, tuna and egg whites.

Getting to the point where I consider letting myself buy a small chocolate as a reward, then realise I'm just as happy with a banana. This isn't like me at all.

Nina - You eat well.

melb_oz_n00b - Same here, I love bbq. Theres a joint called Lilly Mays house of soul food 30 minutes from my house...best bbq babyback ribs/chicken/pulled pork I ever had. Also their fried chicken and peach cobbler is the bomb. (I dont think anyone says the bomb anymore lol)

Chocolate is good, I always go for the dark variety, 70% - 75% is my preference. Its great your conscious of your meals, I try but its so hard sometimes so I gotta have my days where I just go ham.

Breaking the fast: Oatmeal old fashioned style with cinnamon sprinkled on top, 1 banana, 1 cutie orange, a cup of green tea.

Lunch: In-N-Out burger protein style no spread, tray of veggie sticks from Wingstop.

Dinner: grilled chicken and brown rice.

Went to this great vegetarian place in Detroit near my campus today for brunch... I'm not a vegetarian but their food is really good! I had eggs veracruz (corn tortilla topped with black beans, eggs in between over medium/easy, chihuahua cheese, guacamole, etc), and a smoothie consisting of avocado, spinach, kale, apple, celery and agave. Side of sweet potato fries. Yummy.

Got sushi take-out on the way home: Shrimp tempura roll, spicy tuna roll, and a Tiger roll.

Only thing I'm missing is a tasty beer. -_-

Make sure you ladies are drinking your ACV waters with straws! The acid can damage the enamel on your front teeth over time (similar to the effect bulimia has on teeth).

And never brush your teeth right after consuming ACV/lemon/lime water. Be sure to at least wash your mouth out before you brush your teeth...or wait an hour before brushing.

I've read about the teeth enamel thing on http:// www.earthclinic.com (http://www.earthclinic.com) - they say use a straw and mix with baking soda -- will try find an exact link

^On point, I always rinse my mouth with water after consuming coffee/tea/acidic fruits ie. oranges. Prevent stains and protect the teeth from enamel damage as it is softened for a bit....doesnt hurt to wait 20-30 minutes either.

^^What does bison taste like? I'll have to try it when I go to the States. Have you tried kangaroo? Some American friends said they sometimes see it in big cities, but it's usually expensive. Here, it's much cheaper than quality beef, and naturally very low fat. I don't like the taste as steak (very rich, like rabbit or venison) but I use it all the time in chilli or bolognese. Often half meat/half lentils.

It is fucking amazing!!! Here in the states it's expensive as fuck though!!!! $9.29 a llb USD!!!! I usually stick to ground turkey or chicken. No I've never tried kangaroo. I'm curious about it though. The only things I really won't do is veal, bunny, and snake meat.
