Healthy hard tacos for dinner!
Marinated & grilled chicken with refried beans, greek yogurt, cilantro, and a fresh salsa of tomatoes, red onions, lime juice, and salt. Served in "whole-grain" hard tacos. Yum!! Served with homemade guacamole.
Thank goodness my partner cooks; I have no patience for it.

My metabolism is awesome. I don't pay too much attention to what I eat and often have chocolate almost daily, maccas about once a week (I do eat some healthy food, honest!). For all the junk I seem to eat I'm only around 114-5 pounds (I'm 5'4"). It's a mystery....I guess not drinking alcohol and having a mild obsession with baby tomatoes and peas as well probably helps.

Is food insanely expensive in Australia? I'm assuming you can't produce all of your food inland, so you have to ship quite a bit of it in from other countries (which is expensive, of course). Sorry if that's a naive question.

Yep. When I was 18-19 and a poor uni student, if I was down to my last $20, I'd skip drinking that week and spend it on some half-decent food. All my other friends would do the opposite and live off noodles so they could go out. I could never ever do that, even for just one week!
Trying new brunch spots in Melbourne is a ritual for me. I definitely enjoy food shopping more than clothes shopping. I'm much happier at the Vic Markets deli than in Myer. If you ever go to Perth, definitely go to Cottlesloe Boatshed Market. I know Melbourne has the foodie reputation, but this place was heaven on earth for me.

Yes! A few reasons. We grow a lot of stuff, but because Australia is so big, it costs a lot of money to transport it from the farms to the people. A lot of effort to feed a relatively small population of 22 million, which is like the state of Texas. If you want good quality local food, you have to compete with low prices of imported food, mostly Chinese. And life in general is super expensive here, due to high taxes on everything. Thankfully, we have a relatively good economy and high salaries to balance it out. Though that may change quite soon, it's not looking great ATM.

You adventurous ACV drinkers should play around with mixing a bit of cayenne into your ice waters. I consume about a teaspoon of cayenne a day this way. Your tolerance to the spice grows pretty quickly, though it doesn't taste as spicy as you might expect. Mix 1/4 t in a glass of ice water. Bonus health points if you stir in some lemon juice as well!
Research "cayenne + health" to read up on its benefits!
