ugh ONCE AGAIN I've fallen off track with my eating habits and working out.. I swear my friends are the worst influences!!
plus on top of that i haven't really worked in a while so I don't have anything I need to force myself to eat better for.. but now I'm telling myself Halloween is coming up and I want to look good so I'm getting back on track starting today :D
So far I've had 2 cups of black coffee and yogurt with blackberries, raspberries, and apple.. yum!

OMG U guys eat soo healthy. Let me tell YOU wat i ate today lmao....
I always wake up hungry so I immediately ate 3 chips ahoy chocolate chip cookies.
I then had chicken breast with some rice.
Then I headed to timmies for a chocolate chip muffin heated with butter and a large double double, lmao.
Then I made some nachos with melted havarty cheese and salsa.
Dinner I had a healthy stir-fry, then I ate some chocolate cake for dessert.
Then later I had another coffee with 3 fugee-os
OMG looking at this I really need to watch what I eat. I am not fat at all but I could definitely be eating healthier.
Keep in mind today I took off. The days I work I try to eat a lil LESS.

Yesterday I decided to get back on it and attempt to be healthy after a couple of bad weeks. I didn't do too badly but being honest I know the quantities were too big. I am always so bloody hungry.
Breakfast-I had scrambled eggs with scallion, spinach and tomato on rye toast.
Lunch-Pan fried pesto chicken breast on a bed of more spinach sauteed in coconut oil with garlic, Raspberry Alpro soya yogurt(too much sugar in those but anyway).
Snacks- Thin sliced apple/GF oats/nuts/cinnamon with coconut milk. Later I had some Macadamia nuts(love them!) and 72% dark chocolate...it was only meant to be a small nibble but I kept going and probably ate about 50g chocolate.
Dinner-I got creative and made a Shepherds Pie using sweet potato and cauliflower instead of potato for the topping(I read about cauliflower mash being a good sub for potatoes), it was really good...I had two large portions though and felt too full after! Oink.
Tomorrow I'm gonna make kale crisps in the oven, I need more savoury snacks at hand.
Arroz con gandules (sooooo fattening!)

I can't freakin' remember!
I made some chickpea dish with peanut and tomato stir fry sauce and veggies and froze it and I defrosted that today and had some, then tonight I had a small home made pizza with veggies and spicy sauce, also had a cup soup and some rice cakes. I don't diet at weekends!
All week I've been fairly good, salads, popadums and salsa are my staple 'safe' foods and Ive managed to stick to that ..Given up coffee too, I know coffee itself isn't 'bad' but I put weight on easy and I have it with non-dairy creamer so it bumps up the calories if I have 4 cups per day. Fruit teas have been my friend!

Started off well - I mixed my coffee into my oatmeal thismorning to save calories, but then got so fed up of packing to move house that I ate the family size bag of crisps in the cupboard and a couple of slices of buttered bread. Oops! I struggle to behave when I'm not working.

I have been eating this way for years and I have excellent body composition, high fertility and great breastfeeding experience (my kids are all 95%+ and 9-12 months ahead on all milestones).
I've kept my figure after childbearing and have little issue with weight gain. my biggest problem is not losing too much weight while breastfeeding.
Also don't really have to bother with supplements beyond vitamin d in fall and winter (well, or tons of salmon, whichever!)
I had a very nice figure before, but I have more muscle now and am stronger. It's pretty sweet.
Has done wonders for my husband. Completely beefed him out and made him bigger, broader and sexier at a lower weight. Also pretty sweet!
meat is magical.

Arroz con gandules (sooooo fattening!)
My fav! It can still be done without the ham(I don't eat pork). My mom does it with olive oil, olives, red peppers, home made sofrito, achote, etc. Mmmm. I can't ever resist a plate of it.
Today I had mom's dinner. She made the tastiest/healthiest meal ever today. :yummy:  I need to learn how to cook like that. She cooked brown rice with garlic puree & onion, cooked with a little evoo and some weird green veggie i've never seen. Some chickpeas with all sorts of natural flavorings. That was poured over the rice once everything was cooked.
Chicken breast cooked with red onions, on the side. Cutlets were seasoned with fresh garlic puree, white vinegar, sea salt, pepper, a dash of cumin, and red onions. On a pan with a little evoo. So damn good.

I actually make it with turkey bacon and chicken breast, instead of bacon and ham hocks! I'm in Puerto Rico right now!!!! Fui a la fruteria anoche..... I have never heard of some of these things, just ate a hybrid orange/grapefruit, had a batata last night.

AMmmm...turkey bacon must be really good w it. I gained 2 lbs there in a one week vacation. But it was vacay and I felt the need to eat everything in sight. Lol
Chicken livers and hearts with plantanos last night for dinner. For breakfast, some fruit that tasted like a very tart orange, but looked more like a grapefruit, delicious! With two scrambled eggs and some aguacate (avocado). Also Cafe Yaucono (Puerto Rican coffee) which is basically crack. Puts all OTC diet pills and coffee from the States to shame....

JD, do you get pasteurized eggs, or local very fresh eggs? Or do you not consider the salmonella risk high enough to make a difference?
