Try a sausage instead of a hot dog. They usually have actual flavor and are made with meat.

I'm working on new ways to eat chia seeds. Definitely open to suggestions!
I'm trying to perfect a chia 'pudding': chia seeds + almond milk + agave + cinnamon. Let sit in pyrex for an hour - shake a few times to break up the clumps. I like it room temperature.

I just grind them up in the vitamix with their friends, the hemp seeds. I usually wake up hungry in the middle of the night. Last night I made a greek yogurt, frozen berry concoction in the blender with lots of hemp and chia seeds and stevia.

I've been making gazpacho lately. Super quick if you just blend everything up together (rather than dicing everything and leaving the soup partially chunky). It doesn't get much healthier than this! Such a great way to receive your vegetables without having to do hours of chewing...and it's endlessly customizable depending on what you have on hand. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Chef-Johns-Gazpacho/Detail.aspx?event8=1&prop24=SR_Thumb&e11=gazpacho&e8=Quick%20Search&event10=1&e7=Home%20Page&soid=sr_results_p1i1
Green smoothies have also been a big thing over the last couple of weeks. Costco has incredible deals on organic greens (spinach, power green mix, or baby kale for like $3/pound). For two servings, I use three ripe bananas, a few giant handfuls of greens, and water (process the solids together first before adding water until desired consistency). What an easy way to get your greens!

Don't think of it as 'slipping!' If you're gonna eat ice cream, enjoy the damn ice cream guilt-free! It becomes way too easy to fetishize foods when you see them as 'forbidden' objects of desire. Ya know? It's all about balance and moderation. :)
