JD, do you get pasteurized eggs, or local very fresh eggs? Or do you not consider the salmonella risk high enough to make a difference?

In PR I'm having difficulty finding organic anything, so these are pasteurized....

So you've jumped on the meatloaf bandwagon too, huh? :)

For dinner tonight I sauteed some garlic and sliced squash with tilapia, sliced aguacate (avocado) on the side.

G is doing 90% of the cooking these days now that I'm eating meat. He used his mom's recipe- it's pretty tasty. I'd never had meatloaf in my life until the other day. :)

Mastercleansing--

so, around 650 calories of grade B maple syrup, with two ounces of fresh squeezed (yesterday) lime juice, and 50 ounces of water.

Also, did a salt water flush.

Later, more mastercleanse stuff, except I'm already out of maple syrup (day two) and so I'm going to be doing black strap molasses (what diabetics use on mastercleansing so not a total cheat) and lemon juice with water.

Different grades of maple syrup: a, b, and c. a being the most sugary and less nutrient dense.
you probably sack out from the immense crash after the huge sugar spike.

Are you vegan? Do you cook? I always like vegan snack/food ideas even though I don't exclusively eat that way.

Today:
- 1 piece of cheese pizza
- bits of turkey + gravy
- Thai green tofu veggie curry w/ soba noodles (HM)
- Chicken soup (HM)
- Cilantro/mint chutney (HM) w/ multigrain chips

** I am using HM to track when I cook, trying to practice every day

I was vegan for some time but now I'm not...still love the food though. I never know how to describe how I eat, but I guess it's kinda tropical...tons and tons of fruit as a staple and occasional seafood and, um beef or lamb. ;D Thai or Indian food for a treat once a month or so cause it's my favorite.

Most days I eat raw vegan for breakfast and lunch (mostly fruits and blended foods, juices). Sometimes I'll go on a stretch of a few days raw vegan without even noticing and then I'll feel like I need meat and have some. I feel good eating meat but mostly avoid wheat and dairy.

For easy recipes I like this site: kimberlysnyder.net/blog Lots of good stuff way back in the archives.

Today was an exception & I cooked a bunch of food for my family on Thanksgiving:
- portobello mushrooms stuffed with tomato, basil, goat cheese, pineapple, olives
- bell peppers stuffed with cranberry coconut quinoa
- few slices of a suuuuper rare roast
- 2 glasses red wine
- now i'm sippin' on a celery cucumber juice

Ooo thanks for the recipe source! Your eating habits sound like what I'm trying to cultivate (holidays excluded): conscientiously healthy, but not restrictively or exclusively so.

I recently fell in love with adding an egg to my fruit smoothies, so little things like that keep me forever on the omnivorous fence ;D

Today:
-Cherry sausage stuffing (HM)
-Mashed potatoes w/ turkey gravy and chives (HM)
-Turkey
-3 rolled tacos w/ cheese (why??)
-BF's mom's beef chili
-Teeny slice of cake

I hate cooking in a shared kitchen so I try to only use the microwave. My recent dinner staple has been a portion of dried pasta and sauce mix, with water and a tin of tuna added, microwaved until soft. I add the tuna to help keep me full at work.
The cheesey ones taste just like tuna pasta bake.

I just got back into the states. I didn't realize how unhealthy Puerto Rican food is, and the complete lack of anything organic. I fell off my diet for a month, and I am hating myself now! Significant difference in my body shape, although my weight is the same, my abs don't looks as defined, muscle tone reduced, more bloated looking, I'm turning into a giant blob. I am soooo happy to be home, I'm going to hit it hard with the paleo diet and weight workouts everyday. Eggs and avocado or small piece of fruit in the a.m., salad with protein for lunch, protein and vegetable for dinner. Protein shakes after my workouts. Let's do this ladies!

tmi question for the hardcore paleos on here: i was completely off wheat, dairy, sugar and ate way more meat for a couple of months but had serious constipation issues. i don't understand how y'all are able to eat pretty much nothing but meat and still able to go. but maybe it's just my constitution?
