I like eating a whole jalapeno when I get an order of chicken strips. It's like a Hispanic thing or a Texas thing IDK. Anywhoo, I like the taste combination of chicken, the jalapeno and "Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce. The jalapeno gives it a little kick, but today I got an extremely hot jalapeno. I like my jalapenos hot, but not 5 alarm hot. I took a bite of this jalapeno and the taste was really good, then OMG!!! my mouth, tongue and lips were on fire. (Cue the fire truck sirens blaring in my head!) I was running around the kitchen looking for something to put out the fire. I must have looked like a crazy person. I tried water, carbonated water, bread, wiping my tongue with a napkin, but finally I was able to control the heat by sucking on ice until the sensation went away. It took about 10 minute to put out the fire.

I've been veggie-crazy lately. Can't believe what a difference they make in my skin, body, and mind. I've mostly been roasting them - so easy, and every vegetable combination seems to work when cooked this way. Rough cuts, salt, pepper, olive oil (tossed), throw onto a baking sheet, roast 30 minutes at 400 degrees. I've been using sweet potatoes, brussels sprouts, mushrooms, peppers, asparagus, squash...
Today I made roasted sweet potatoes (tossed in chili powder, salt, pepper, olive oil) with a Greek-yogurt + lime juice, salt, cayenne dip on the side. So easy and so satisfying!
I also made meringue cookies using egg whites, cinnamon, and agave. They're healthy, filling, and not too sweet.

Breakfast was baked sweet potato fries (tossed in chili powder, salt, pepper, olive oil) dipped in a mixture of Greek yogurt, lemon juice, salt, and cayenne. I get up later in the day, so I often eat savory breakfasts, usually some kind of vegetable or legume. I'm still obsessed with refried beans..
