I had leftover cooked brown rice in the fridge, and not much else. So I fried the rice in olive and coconut oil with some kale I had crisped in the oven, chopped black olives and walnuts, and added smoked paprika, black pepper and soy sauce. Thrown together leftovers can be so good.

What does DE in water with lemon do?

What does DE in water with lemon do?

Hey

I use it to detox my body of metals and other unhealthy things. I also use it for hair and skin health. You won't believe how healthy my hair is...and my skin is sooooooo clear. It has blessed my skin more than krill oil. lol I guess its because of the detox effects. I've been using it on and off for years.

Diatomaceous earth acts as a mild abrasive both topically and internally. Inside your body, it helps remove intestinal invaders and other harmful organisms from the digestive tract. As an internal cleanser, diatomaceous earth may aid cleansing by supporting regularity and assisting in the removal of toxic metals.

Research has also shown that food-grade diatomaceous may offer positive benefits for cholesterol levels and encourage heart health. [5] Nutrients such as silicon, calcium, sodium, magnesium, iron, and other trace minerals are available in diatomaceous earth, giving rise to a practically endless supply of health benefits. Most of these nutrients play a role in building and repairing of muscles and bones.

Natural Source of Silica
Food-grade diatomaceous earth is composed of approximately 85% silica. [3] This important, trace mineral is required by tendons, cartilage, blood vessels, and bones. [4] The nutrient even contributes to almost every vital organ, including the heart, liver, and lungs. Food was the primary source of naturally-occurring silica before modern farming practices depleted the soil. It is suggested that only 1/3 of the silica we need is available in natural, plant-based foods.

Promotes Skin Health
Because diatomaceous earth is a strong abrasive, it is often used as a toothpaste and facial exfoliator. The process of exfoliation is important in skin care as it helps to remove dead skin cells that may give the appearance of tired, worn-out skin. The product’s natural silica content is also necessary for healthy skin, teeth, hair, and nails, and the product is often touted as a potent beauty mineral.

Internal Cleanser
Diatomaceous earth acts as a mild abrasive both topically and internally. Inside your body, it helps remove intestinal invaders and other harmful organisms from the digestive tract. As an internal cleanser, diatomaceous earth may aid cleansing by supporting regularity and assisting in the removal of toxic metals. [7] Some studies have shown diatomaceous earth to be very successful in ridding animals of harmful organisms. Food-grade diatomaceous earth placed in the feed of livestock may help discourage fleas and other harmful bugs. [8] Make sure that all diatomaceous earth is labeled “food grade” and is untreated and unheated! The mineral is available in supplement form, both by itself and blended with other ingredients

Damn. How much DE to how much water?

JayzGirl
08-01-2017, 06:12 PM
I started out mixing half a tablespoon in 8 ounces of water and worked my way up to 1-2 tablespoons. It's important to drink lots of water throughout the day as sometimes you can become constipated if you don't.....which shouldn't be a problem is you keep yourself hydrated throughout the day. Sometimes I will use DE for about a month then take a 1-2 week break and start again. It's really worth its weight in gold. I order mine off Amazon by the pound and that last me for like forever, literally. However, when I first started, I purchased mine from the local garden nursery such as Calloways.

I laugh when my health but friends say they spend all that money on BioSil. No thanks! lol

Be sure to use a quality probiotic with the DE...not necessarily during the same time but on a daily basis.

Food for though: Probiotics also helped me with my histamine intolerance.
