The thing I don't understand with all the different formats is....are people doing it to actually benefit the customer? Or are they doing it for the little traffic boosts and so they can post the same clip in several different categories, just different formats (because I see that all the time). I don't know.....it almost feels a little like cheating the system in a way. But I know, C4S approves it and it's okay. Just thinking out loud.... :P

As well as there being many different categories being applicable for one clip, there are also many duplications where it is exactly the same fetish but there are several categories listed. Guys seem to stick with only one.

So what I've always wondered is, what is the point of related categories? What does that do? You know what I'm talking about, right? When you are filling out the form for a new clip and you can choose different related categories. Is that just for our individual stores....meaning that if a related category is Dangling and a customer clicks on that, it will show him all the other Dangling clips I have. Or does it have another purpose?

I wondered the same and was told by support that the additional keywords make the clip show up in the search results for these keywords. That was just fixed recently, as these additional categories really didn't do anything in the past. In the future, those will be the categories where the clip update will show as well, albeit fewer additional categories.

Argh, it allowed me to upload the same videos twice and put a (1) after them and now I can't delete any of them. Usually it would say the video has already been uploaded, but now they are stuck in my CLIPS folder and I can't delete them.

Yea refunds, I'm aware of that and some of credit card infos are women names lmao. Other sites, like streamate, don't allow chargebacks (but they take a higher percentage) also I've never experienced a iwantclips refund... YET
Is just this current year I had a strange increase in refunds on C4S, and I wasn't even selling that much since I took a break.

It's probably going to change within the next 6 months, but currently I use it as a hybrid of exposure (what you said), customer reach (my sd wmvs are very popular because the file size is so much smaller than hd mp4) and for the fact that many of my clips could indeed just as well be posted in 4 or even 6 categories - which one to choose?

A ballet flat fast tapping in school girl uniform because of massive desperation with a long pee flooding can go in ballet flats, uniforms, school girl, desperation, female desperation, upskirt, panty wetting, shoe play, pee and probably a few more. So that extra exposure is not for the main page, it's so that people interested in ballet flats actually get a chance to notice a clip that would have never appeared there, because I would not have posted it in ballet flats above the other choices if I just had 1 choice.

Yes i's spammy, okay. But it's a necessity for many clips and this is the system we were handed. It's going to change to a system where you choose several categories but only upload 1 clip which will then show in different categories and be delivered in the format the customer chooses on the go. A little like manyvids category wise and I believe iwc are delivering in different formats. So a hybrid of that.

We'll have to see if the new system works better or worse.. I sense more competition and shorter exposure times.

Sinna, just wondering how you know this? Based on how other sites do things? It would make sense, but C4S has been slow to change.

Hey girls, I asked support how to link 2 stores and they told me to go on "edit clip site" and add "1" in the "grouping fields" of each store, but it didn't work. There's not the "my other stores" box on the stores. Did I make something wrong or should I recontact support?

I think that you may need to check that your personal details are written exactly the same way on both stores.

I know it from Neil, the owner of c4s, personally. It will take a while, as c4s is indeed slower to change (and also bigger) than others. But I think the changes we experienced the past months are already the beginning of this transition. The new admin is the preparation for the "newer" admin, where we will manage all stores from one admin.

I had the same problem, a huge issue because the original file, though uploading completely, is corrupt. It allowed me to add the clip, but it didn't allow me to deactivate it. So I couldn't stop people from buying it. Support couldn't stop it either. I had to overwrite the file, then luckily I could deactivate it. I renamed and re-uploaded the file (because it works on my end) now I got another message today from a customer that the file is still corrupt.

It was a file that I started uploading via FTP, because I can't always wait in one store until uploads are finished when I got several stores to update. After it stopped uploading 4 times, I closed ftp and uploaded in the gizmo. It would first start a new upload, then suddenly resume the old upload. Both files are corrupt. The renamed and re-uploaded and activated file is corrupt as well. Support wasn't as helpful as usually, when they would download and check the files. They did, but they didn't read what I wrote and just downloaded the corrupt file, then told me it was corrupt (...).

The issue is still not resolved.

I can only strongly advise everyone to use the gizmo ftp. I have had SO MUCH trouble with FTP since they changed a few things more than a year ago. It's just a source of a thousand errors to use FTP, most of which support doesn't know a solution for.

Yes!! I'm SO glad you brought this up! I've had this happen with a couple of files now. (I've got regular customers who alerted me that there were weird glitches in the video). The original file is fine, the problems occurred when I uploaded them to C4S. The first time, the upload just froze about 8% into it. So I tried again and the upload seemed to continue where it left off but then one of my customers told me the video stops for a few seconds early on in the clip. And I was CERTAIN it had to do with that upload issue. About a week later, I was uploading another file (via the Add/Del page) and this one stopped at around the 86% mark. But I think *I* caused that because I uploaded the clip image while it was still uploading the video file and that (for some reason) temporarily stopped the video upload and then it continued. BUT, again, a customer told me there was about a 10 second part of the video where it just stopped and it was around the 86% part of the video---so it had to be from the upload glitches.

I've uploaded hundreds of videos and never had this problem before. I didn't report it to C4S because I thought it was a weird fluke the first time and that I caused it the second time. :P

Couldn't delete the video file, had to upload another with a 1 and create a whole new (duplicate) listing for the clip, go and delete the clip listing and then add the new clip listing. Seems like such a roundabout way of doing it....

Sorry, I thought it was still called gizmo. Yes, that is indeed the uploader I refer to.

This can seriously damage sales and reputation. More than a year ago, a customer told me that an old file didn't play completely. It froze near the end. I checked and found out that I had sold that clip 18 times over the course of several months and although I got my email address on my store and contact customers frequently, no one had told me before that the file was corrupt. I checked and noticed that more than half of the customers who had bought the file, didn't buy anything else after that. So they basically stopped being my customers and it might have been because of that.

Then there are possible refunds and I had a case where support just gave away a clip of mine for free to remedy the situation, although I was reassured that this was not how it should have went and she was new and didn't know. Anyway, it can lead to unhappy customers and affect sales in several ways. Obviously. When you buy something, you want it to work. Imagine you are masturbating to a clip you bought, you are almost there, it's really nice but then the clip just stops. How annoying is that? I suppose extremely annoying.

So yeah, I have had mostly "flawless" experiences since I started to use the Gizmo / New Uploader:Add/Delete Files. I strongly advise to not use FTP anymore. It's not just corrupt clips, there are so many issues with it.

See my (old) list of issues here (http://adult-income.com/not-allowed-clip-price-on-clips4sale/), which was really just a portion of things that went wrong over 1-2 years ago. They have since taken the possibility from us to rename files in ftp and partly even to delete files (see boyru). I have since had new errors for the first time ("error: couldn't write file") that I never had before. It's so tricky that I had stopped using FTP and will stick to that decision again after what has just happened.

Imagine this was just the one and only file I tried to FTP in over a year and the whole thing went so horribly wrong, I don't even want to imagine what had happened had I scheduled several clips for upload.

I once had an issue where they sold a clip of mine that i "uploaded" in 2015, but it was a clip from 2014.. So the 2014 clip overwrote the 2015 newer clip with similar name. I went back into my computer where i had that clip, and the name I uploaded it as originally was nowhere near the name of the clip the customers thought they were buying. Strange.

They can't "not allow" chargebacks as it totally bypasses clips4sale and goes direct to the bank or credit card company as I said. What could happen with those other sites is that they *eat* the chargebacks, which would be extremely unusual, I only saw it happening with some camsites which took 65%. Personally I would rather eat the chargebacks myself as they are uncommon.

I've had this corruption issue too! Even though my clip is fine and uploaded perfectly, my internet is great, I go to list the clip and it says clip is corrupt or later I get a Bad Clip notification. Super frustrating. To make things even more lovely they told me it must be on my end. I'm also having trouble viewing my previews in admin, it says error.

Is ftp working again? I couldn't get it to connect for a week a month or two ago so I stopped using it.

Boyru, I used filezilla, updated it to the newest version before I uploaded. I really can't, from my experience, advise to use FTP over the Uploader in the admin.

However, I just found out while you can't delete clips, you can at least unlist them. In the clip dropdown list on the "add clips" page, all clips are listed after a refresh. If you go to the delete clips section and delete the clips (in the uploader area), the clips will still be there after the page refreshes, however, if you go to add clips, the clips you "deleted" will be gone from the dropdown, at least giving you a clean place to work from.

Just don't refresh the clip list after that or the "old" clips will be listed again.

@Sophia if ftp.intermarkproductions.com doesn't work, you can try ftp.clips4sale.com. Leave port empty.

I am not an expert on this, but filezilla tells me: Status: Insecure server, it does not support FTP over TLS.

I had gotten a refund on a video a guy bought a few days before they issued it. I had not gotten an email from them. I wish they would tell you why they were issued a refund/chargeback.

Should I be able to hear the audio when I use the preview maker? It seems like you should be able to, but none of them seem to work? It also takes an outrageously long time for them to encode, I don't remember it being like this before.

BUT I will get less cash than I've earned-well this time almost 130$ less.
And this is because
"The payment is converted into Euro.
So there is an exchange rate deducted."

So an I blind because I did not noticed an info about payout in euro for european studios or they try to force me to change my payout method to check?

Hey, I was checking out some of the stores in the top 50 and I noticed that at least one of them has an external link to buy customs. What are C4S's current rules on this? Lately if someone emails me to buy a custom, I use LCMS to take the payment and Project Maenad to transfer the file. I wasn't aware that we could actually have links or form pages leading away from the site, has that changed? Can we now have an external form page to take the custom order, and then use an external payment processor and file transfer site? Thanks in advance, ladies and peeps :)

Yes, when you click on "click for preview" you should hear sound. That's mostly what I use it for.

I also used the Add/del Uploader when the duplicate with (1) was created. But I had used FTP before and it resumed the file from the ftp..

I don't know why we don't get notified of refunds through mail anymore (because we used to) but when I see a refund in the admin, I run a report for refunds, find the refund (matches the money deducted) and then send an inquire with the SO#(s) of the sale to support, asking what went wrong. I always do that, just in case the refund was issued for a broken file, which I would have to replace asap of course. They always tell me the reason.

I also got the payment last month in EURO without announcement and a huge fee deduction. What I wonder is: when they send it in Euro now, from a European bank, why does it cost transaction fees that high? It's ridiculous, but I am looking at the bank for this, not at C4S.

In my opinion it's 100% on c4s.
Before they change the bank everything was perfectly fine.They took only 45$ fee and I got cash before 7th day of every month.

After their changes- they send cash twice times a month or I get less cash than I earn, or I have to beg for my cash, because it is after 7th and my bills wont paid by themselves.
They not try to fix it.
I asked twice about payoneer- they do not answer me nothing.Like there were no questions.
They can not find another bank, or get back to payment method they had before?

Sorry girls, but Im piss off, really;/
And guess what- it's 8th and I still have no cash.

I think I picked a bad month not to have one video go up per day. I'm at less than $300 for the month so far! I'll be luckily if I hit my monthly average of $1000 =(

There was no info,but as you,I emailed Gia because I lost alot of money on my last payment and she told me it was because of this conversion and that from now on all future payments will be sent in Euro..I am still waiting for this payment too..we'll see how much will lose because of this conversion and maybe will be more convenient to just get it in euro account for the future..

What would you guys recommend as a simple free (preferably) or cheap editing programme for a Mac? Just want to be able to do the basics - add title page, end credits, watermark/logo throughout, and small splices/edits and compression.

I couldn't get the preview maker to play any sound at all, so I emailed them to ask about it. Apparently the preview makers sound is broken and the developers know of the issue.

My refund I got was from a stolen card as well, I'll expect to see that video on a pirate site soon I bet. :(

I may have asked this before but I dont think so.. I seriously cant get a moving .gif to work for my clips. I edited a small video and published it using AVS4U in .gif format. Works fine on my computer but will not update in the store. I dont know what I'm doing wrong?

EDIT: Nevermind I restarted my computer and it showed up. weird! but yay

I'm using iMovie 10.1.2 (most recent vers) and it can do all your basic editing things. I have a .png watermark I use over all my clips. The last version wouldn't let you add text/image overlays over transitions which was super wonky but they fixed that. I use GifBrewery to create my gifs.

I've done some in the past, and it seemed clips did better when another category like roleplay or femdom was involved. Ripping is also a category you might look into for things to be discarded. But that was just me, just trying them on might work well for you.

--right now my store is in the update list but the new clip is not listed
--clicking on updated studios goes to their main studio page and not the new clip (I'm pretty sure it usually links to the newest clip?).
--The button to tweet to the C4S timeline doesn't appear after listing to appear in store now (ie not future activation)

Thanks Louise, sometimes when I click View Clipstore from admin it goes to the main c4s page not to my clipstore. Also I tried to add a HD mp4 and it said some error that the clip wasn't long enough though it was, I checked the clip and it uploaded fully. I re-rendered it in wmv and it added fine. That was a first.
