Guys I think its been said before that Boyru just appears to be a troll. Nothing they say makes any sense, and I think its designed to annoy us all. Ignoring them will mean eventually they get bored and stop posting

I was told by a very trustworthy customer that he tried buying a video from clips4sale and it wouldn't go through. He tried again with a different clip and its showing the one individual clip but 2x the price in the total for the purchase. It shows the video priced correctly and only one video in his cart.
I told him to email support to let them know!

C4S support got back to him, told him to clear his cookies and cache and it worked. That's ridiculous that that was preventing him from buying videos. I'd imagine that most people would probably just go somewhere else or buy from somewhere else. Whatever I guess, it worked and he can buy videos now.

I'm pretty sure that's happening frequently.
Also, the other day a customer bought one of my clips, then 30-60 min later he bought that same video plus another, on & on until he'd made 5 orders, each with all the same videos but one more added. So I anticipate a huge refund soon.

Yes! I've had this same thing happen before. I know C4S reps try to encourage exchanges first and one that I spoke with said customers usually choose that option, but if not-refund. (And by exchange, I mean the option to get another clip of equal value)

Is it reflecting the video being bought more than once in your detailed sales report in your admin or just in your email?
Iwc was having an issue where I'd get my clip sale email and it would show one video being bought 2-5 times and I was getting paid for it, but the customer only bought it once. I tried to tell them but they were rude and ignored me. Ended happening a bunch of times before they fixed it and never took my money back :p

Both. Usually a customer buys one clip and then goes back to buy another and it's that first clip (they just bought) plus another. I get the sales emails and it also shows up in admin.

Just a small word of caution, since it was mentioned here briefly, don't go into the weight gain fetish for money. Yes, it's lucrative, but it has irreversible effects on your health and psyche if you take it too far, but i'm stating the obvious here ...

Yeah, that's the right way to do it: sell weight gain clips because you've already gained weight, as oppose to the wrong way to do it (the way I did it), which is to gain weight in order to sell clips--so dumb.

It's so easy to do...by the same token it can be hard to lose weight when you know your big belly and fat ass earns money!

How do you get round this bullshit? The gif I uploaded yesterday is not showing on the drop down list, even if I click on refresh, and I can't re-upload it as it's already on the site. I'll try renaming it but I shouldn't have to! Renaming seems the way round it.

I received a screenshot from a regular saying that my store showed a message "this store is unable to accept payments at this time" when he tried to enter his details to buy a clip. That is the same message that fresh stores, who have not been activated yet, show.
Contacted support, was told he should clear cache and cookies. He did and then it worked. He had not contacted support himself. A lot of customers still think we run our stores completely by ourselves and have access to the programming.
The issue with the sale of 1 clip, then the customer coming back and buying that same clip + another
Then buying the same 2 clips + another etc.
That has been happening for years.
I have reported it in the past (= years ago). I thought that was fixed. When you add a clip to your cart, then remove it and go back to shop more, the clip somehow still remains in your cart. I guess that something like this also can happen when you purchase a clip with buy now. The clip is bought, but remains in the cart. Upon buying a second clip, the customer doesn't notice there are two clips in the cart now and buys them both (buying the same clip again).
I will write an email to support now though, because my cookie customer issue together with your customer issue could quite easily be the difference between an average month and this lousy February.
There is no way Neil would want this to happen, after all, it's losing c4s money as well, not only the producers.

My customer went to another one of my sites to buy the video. He buys almost 100% of my videos that I put out every month and is a BIG spender from a lot of top dommes, to have him go to another site means a big loss just from him alone. Can you imagine if half of everyone went to another site?

I had this happen too. Over a few hours, he made 4 purchases, each time adding one additional clip to his order. I emailed support and they took care of it.
Then a week later, the same guy had the same issue with a new set of clips. I figured he was just drunk buying but apparently, it's a site issue -,- Great -,-

I just heard back that c4s is aware of the "cookie issue" and working on it. I sometimes wish all things "internet" would just work. But as I know from my own homepages, there is always something and if you think there is not, it's just that no one reported it to you yet.
I had a payment processor up for 2 years that I thought worked perfectly, but it didn't work at all. If I log in to any of my homepages right now, there will be issues waiting to be solved. It's just never ending because "the internet" is constantly evolving.

Wow this has been going on for a while with me, I just thought it was customers buying two by accident, and assumed clips4sale would sort it.
IWC is doing really well and I am sure would of got new customers from this, I am sure customers would move because of issues like this.
At least they know about it and are doing something about it I hope...

Just out of curiosity....how would you know how much a customer spends on other dommes? I mean, unless he's on Twitter announcing it to the world.
And aren't a lot of women already moving their sales away from C4S and to IWC?

Are you're talking about IWC and not C4S? I guess the majority of the clip orders I've seen had them cropped out or blurred. I wasn't even aware that buyers had to have usernames until I saw one recently that wasn't blurred very well.

Yup. I know exactly who you're talking about. He has a blog and is anti-racial humiliation videos. The guy who called out a domme for posing on a shelf or something. Thanks for your reply, I was just curious. I post screen shots of big clip orders myself but I always blur/crop out the IP address and order #'s as I figure that isn't anyone else's business. But if a customer is doing it themselves, that's a different story.

I just whack my couple clips into my main store and under the relevant fetishes. I don't think guys look for couple clips per se but would be interested in them if they saw them within their chosen fetish. I only have secondary stores for particular fetishes.

@PixiieGirl It has not been a great month sales wise for me either on clips4sale, if it was not for IWC and a big custom order I would be struggling. I am guessing its not great across the board, as I am quite high in a few categories from only getting a few sales. That always gives you an idea of how everyone else is doing...
I updated about 16 unique clips in January and have done 27 unique clips this month and only made $300 more. I have noticed the traffic has been quite high which is positive, but the site has seemed really glitchy this month so that could have affected things. I have also noticed that February has been quite slow for me the last 4 years, plus obviously its a shorter month too.

But is this an IWC issue? or just a problem across the board? what would make a pirate more tempted to post an IWC clip than a clips4sale one? I am interested as I like IWC, and I feel if there was something they could improve on in this area, they prob would.

I came on here because of an issue and noticed some of you talked about it a few days ago. I looked for my studio in the studio list and couldn't find it. I noticed the alphabetical order is not correct but I read every name under my letter lol. When I searched for it, it was there. Not a huge deal, because I don't think many customers go through that list, but still every link counts. Guess it's another support ticket. Btw, I still, like for a month now, don't get any reply at all from support! Not even the standard "ticket opened" mail. The issues get fixed so I assume they get my mails. Weird.

Like you I'm a new studio. I've made a tiny bit more than you this month but I have put in around 20h of work/week on C4S - best not to calculate my hourly salary lol. And that is before the tax I will have to pay once I get my first payout (I didnt make payout last month)
I have made a handful of videos together with my male friend this month. They fit well into the theme of my store but bring some variation as well. btw some of them sold 1-3 times and some not at all, just like the rest of my clips... But I guess we learn as we go...

I have an intense full time "day job", and it's tough keeping up daily updates. I am almost never ahead, meaning I mostly edit and post a clip the same day, sometimes I even shoot it the same day. I know it is more efficient to shoot a bunch of similar clips in one session, compress/upload a bunch at once and then mix them up so there is variation between posts. But I never catch up!
Besides being inefficient like this, it means having to be creative and start from scratch every time, even when I am not in the mood/exhausted - sadly sometimes showing in the clip that has to be remade, or I make mistakes, meaning even more extra work. If it would continue like this I would have to give up but I still trust it will get easier as I get more skilled. I've forced myself to not be too much of a perfectionist when editing, but it needs to get better than this. I stated above I put in 20 hours/week but realized now it's more than that. I've had zero time for my precious hobby, exercising and even cut down social life and proper cooking... I haven't had time for any promotion, research, costume ideas (essential for my studio's fetishes) or other long term work. So it's the clipmaking process that has to get more efficient if I'm gonna cope long enough to be able to cut down on my day job. I'm not aiming to make as much on C4S/hour as my day job but enough to afford the decrease in income to do this super fun clipmaking instead :) My day job is low paid (AND sucking the life out of me sometimes lol..I know..it's idealistic type of work) so I can't live on much less.
SO... What are you fine ladies' best tips for time management on C4S and clip making? (or..in everyday life) Maybe someone else also juggling a regular job has some input?

I think they pirate from iwantclips because you can buy videos as a guest, but on clips4sale there's more information that the model can see, so there's less anonymity. Maybe they were already blacklisted from c4s and moved onto iwantclips. Dunno though. I can only guess.

I wonder if they have a similar 'screening' for new clip buyers as C4S? Where they have to send in authorization the first time for a big clip order.

It's easier for me to film when I already know what I'm going to do. Often when I start filming I will think of new things but that's fine. You can have set days for certain tasks, a day for researching, a day for writing up ideas/scripts, a day for filming (easier to film more when already planned), a day for editing and uploading.

SO... What are you fine ladies' best tips for time management on C4S and clip making? (or..in everyday life) Maybe someone else also juggling a regular job has some input?[/QUOTE]
@AlyssaJ Hi Alyssa, I started over 4 years ago and had a stressful day job, so I used to make some clips at weekends and then do the editing and uploads in the evening. The one month my clips income exceeded my day job I saw there was a chance to make a decent wage, I quit my day job and started on clips full time ( bit risky, but just about worked)
Now I still make clips full time, but am also studying and doing voluntary work as part of my course. I manage my time by planning my week on a Sunday, so this means making a list of clip ideas in my note pad. Then allocating time throughout the week when my partner is out of the house. I dedicate two full days to filming a week, but I am probably spending at least an hour or so every day uploading, writing out the descriptions, emailing etc.
I used to make a clip a day, but It's just exhausting for me because by the time I have got ready, set up the room etc it takes up so much time. I prefer to condense filming into 1 or 2 days. The more organised I am the night before filming the better! so that means getting the room ready, clothes ready, and having notes ready to spark my creativity. I now have fast internet so uploads take 10 mins, but when it was slow I used to set up all my uploads for the night which helped alot. I also advise always being ahead of yourself by at least 5-7 clips. That way if you fall ill or do not fancy working, you have emergency clips. Of course it all depends on how much you want to upload. I personally believe in the method of uploading every day, especially if it is your main income.

this! I personally have planned out every clip I'll film for March, including a schedule of what I'll upload what day. It makes it easier for me to film lots in one go which can work around my day job
