Ok for what? If they have an active role (like dialogue with you from behind the camera) they need a model release even if they don't show. If it's talk accidentally captured (like someone passing by outside the window) it's up to you if it affects the quality of the clip. And of course, no kids, not even the sound of them, and of course nothing that can be led to the identity of any person not knowingly being captured.

I simply dont seem to understand what brings more traffic or sales to the store? I have just begun and my store is still visible under main category new studio page despite that i hardly get 200 plus visitors a day in my store, updating twice that too minimum. Is it simply luck i wonder! Because my primary category i believe i am pretty good at it, and despite that this is really going dull. Though i am not giving up but yes seriously i am still wondering and then filming for different categories even if they are not really my field or fetish to be precise.

In the beginning your "new store" link will bring some traffic. But what matters in the end is updating often and make quality clips so customers return. Some categories have more traffic than others, but it might not be the one that sells for you. The category I make most in is one where I update every fourth-fifth day. Updating more often doesn't lead to more traffic, because it is not a big category. But when I update, they buy, which also means I am always in the top and clip lists of that category, which also helps with traffic :) In the beginning I sold best in one of the biggest categories because my new store link was there all the time. But after that, sales were zero because the category is flooded with updates, pushing you out from the first page within a day so it's hard to get the chance to make the lists. What works is different for every studio, but what I do is I focus on a handful of categories where I actually sell and that are fun to do, so I stay on those lists. And then I try out other categories here and there.

I have not had a normal job in over 4 years so very worried about the gap in my CV and what to say etc too.

I have an almost 7 year gap and did have a job interview earlier this year (not enough experience unfortunately). In my case, I have the excuse of childcare and I have a partner, so I can play the mother/housewife card. That reason for not working was accepted without question but they were concerned whether I could walk straight back into an office environment. They were also concerned about whether I could still use word and excel, which of course I can, and I had to think of an acceptable reason why I could still use those. I had some things in my CV that I had forgotten about doing and glad they didn't ask me more about them! Being able to talk about something to prove your brain hasn't gone to mush in that time of supposed not working helps too.

If somebody were talking in the background but you don't see them in footage is that ok or no?

Years ago, I had a good clip with the neighbors baby crying at the exact key scene. I didn't want to cut it and I didn't know how to filter only that one noise, so I asked c4s support. He said if it could just as well be from the radio / tv or a recording, then it's okay, since there is no way to proof that it was real.

Which means it should be okay, as long as you don't see these people or talk to them or do any kind of interaction that suggests that they are really there. As for people in the background, if you did not film them on purpose and they just walked by or something, then you don't need their agreement. That is only true for public settings though. If you film at a private party and there are people in the background, I think it's a little different, since they are not in the public domain at that moment.

May has been great for me. The first half of the month was fantastic and the second half slowed down a bit but still pretty good. Sorry it's been shitty for the rest of you. The first half of last year was good for me too, it was in the Fall that I saw sales start to dip. Will be interesting to see if that happens again this year.

This month is going pretty well for me. I'd have made almost $900 if it weren't for those refunds that piss me off to see every day. I am hoping June nets me my highest earning month so far this year. I do need to film again but I haven't been 100% and it's throwing me off my game. If I get can off my ass I can film a good 50 clips and have the next two months good to go. I procrastinate a LOT though.

Try changing your background color. Also, your gifs look really desaturated. Maybe add some color to your clips.

May was my best month so far. I also had no charge backs or refunds and it was also the first month where I had sales every day of the month (I would come close to that every month but then I would have that one day with no sales). I'm hoping June will continue that upwards trend.

It's really hard to find pirated videos on some tube sites. For example pornhub's search engine won't find videos that are set to "Private" and most guys know this. I once found a guy who had a ton of my clips in his "Private" section and each clip had hundreds of views. I also checked his friends and playlists and there was another gorillion of my clips.

Have any of you had an issue with someone buying multiple of the same video? I had a guy slowly collect all of my videos in one category last month, and occasionally he'd buy the same video twice. But this morning he just bought all of them again and some he has in multiple formats.

At this point I'm assuming he must be uploading them somewhere else, otherwise why would he need a video in both formats multiple times? I've had absolutely 0 charge backs from this and I'm not sure what to do?

Yes this has happened to me. This past week I had a few customers who purchased a clip...then within a couple minutes purchased that same exact clip. Sometimes in a different format but sometimes the same format. And yesterday I got five refunds split between two customers. So annoying. But it could be worse.
Come to think of it...a few days ago I had messaged support an inquiry regarding last month's refunds and they never got back to me =/ One of the refund said "Partial Refund" and I wanted to know what that meant. Why not the whole refund? If it was a stolen credit card wouldn't they have to refund the whole purchase? I'm going to contact support again..

Sometimes they have to delete the videos or lose them when their hard drive crashes. It happens to me all the time. It's usually a week or months apart.

However, lots of producers have been experiencing "multiples"- the same customer making the same purchase multiple times right in a row. Or the guy buys one clip, then buys that one clip plus another, then buys those two clips plus another. There's a glitch on the Shopping Cart which won't allow a customer to remove a clip once added to the cart. The clip in question doesn't appear in the cart though the customer is charged. The other day I received the same orders 3-5 times per customer, for a total of about $110 in extra sales. I just made a note for myself so that I'm not surprised when a refund comes through. Some producers are seeing refunds for these orders while others aren't. Usually the refunds come through the same day or the following day. In my experience, if the refund isn't done within a few days, it won't be done. I think sometimes the guys just don't notice they've been overcharged. Or they're not being overcharged while we're being credited.

I've had guys buy both formats or sizes...one for phone and one for PC. I have another guy who has been buying all my clips in one category, repeatedly since I started several years ago...I think he watches then deletes them.

Anyone had any experience with pornhub's DMCA service? How long does it usually take them to take down a pirated video?Currently between 0-1 days if sent by email to "copyright". Filling out the takedown form on their site may get a URL taken down a little faster, but their form is not convenient when submitting multiple links.

I tried to send you a PM but my account may be too new, could you please PM me the link to the 700 infringements site?

It's a rolling 7-day average, and the exact amount varies depending on what everyone else is making. There's no exact minimum.

It doesn't matter what they pay; it matters what you make (think of it that way to simplify it & account for any CBs/refunds). That's only $960 in 7 days, which is not enough. Also, you'd be counting from the 29th, not the 28th, if you want the average which affects your placement as of last night after the cutoff.

I checked my June takedowns sent to pornhub and aside from one issued on June first and taken down June first, they appear to have since stopped processing my notices as well. So I don't think you need to do anything differently and likely just need to wait until they fix it on their end.

Which isn't positive news by any means but its slightly better than them ignoring you specifically.

edit: they've just now processed all my claims for the week.

Yes! I did. But this time, I did not message support about it, because it must have been conscious user decisions. A guy bought a clip, an hour later the exact same clip. Half an hour later the same clip again. 2 hours later the same clip. Another 2 hours later the same clip again.

In total, he bought the clip like 7 times with long intervals. So it could not be a stuck cart or accidental double click. He also just bought one clip, so none of the usual stuck in cart issue either.

I also just noticed through testing, that the "continue shopping" link from the checkout page is leading to a 404 error page, as does the back button from the browser when you are at checkout. That should not happen.

Anyway, I still don't know why he bought the same clip so often. I usually check the clip right away, since some guys don't bother contacting support for a broken clip but just buy it again to download it again.

However, not 7 times. Maybe he liked the clip and wanted to push it up the toplist. That was my only explanation that made sense.
