This is probably not going to be helpful, as it doesn't answer your question but.... I don't know what your preview gif's look like, but I would definitely put more into that than pretty looking descriptions. Guys are visual creatures and many times I've written short (but enticing) descriptions, but the gif was hot and the clip(s) sold great! I used to do just several rotating still images for my gifs, but once I changed to (what do we call them? 'live action'?) a few short 'scenes' in my gifs (like pretty much everyone in the Top 50 does), I definitely noticed the difference in my sales. From that alone! So personally, I swear by it. Guys can see you move a bit and I think it's just more enticing. But if you are already doing that, then just never mind everything I just said.
Definitely on my to do list for this weekend as well, but thank you for the reminder!

Hm maybe I should change to doing this, what programme do you use?

Photoshop is the best imo. I tried other programs and the quality was awful

The customer names are now initials. This sucks! I am getting charge backs from April to and like to know who is possibly stealing my stuff.

Weirdness occurring on my Sales page in the Detailed sales bit, you can't see the customer's full name anymore, only their initials? I quite liked seeing the full name on there!
Yeah, I noticed that too. But this has happened before a few times in the past and it was temporary. So I'm hoping that is the case now as well.

I use 2 actually.....VLC to take screenshots of my clips and then Photoshop to make the gif.

I hope so I much prefer to see the names so fingers crossed.
I make my own Gifs and agree they are better than the C4S generated ones but I'd be keen to make the moving ones too if I could. Currently I convert my clip into stills with a free Video to JPG converter, choose the ones I want and then make a Gif. Even that is quite time consuming. I use Movavi Suite for editing, does anyone create moving Gifs (is that what they are called) with that program? I could always chop my clip into a smaller version manually but it might be too large a file. Hmm the technical side drives me nuts at times!

I watch my clips in and make my screenshots with VLC. It has a little "Take a Snapshot" icon to make the screenshots and you can also move the clip forward frame by frame. I usually space my screenshots about 2-3 seconds (frames) apart. I don't do it of the whole video, only of certain scenes that I want to show in the gif. Then I use Photoshop to batch resize all of those screenshots and create the animation. (I'd be happy to share the steps if anyone uses Photoshop, wants to do this and doesn't know how.).
Yes, it's more time consuming but worth it for me. I'd say overall it maybe takes me 30-40 minutes.

Still on the subject of moving Gifs, I think I have managed to create one in Movavi by just chopping up a clip and saving it as a Gif format but I'm having trouble keeping the file size under the recommended 5MB and also keeping the quality decent. It's under 5MB if I make a gif around 10 seconds but the quality is shit, I'm not sure if it is better than using a normal Gif made with stills that are high quality. That said, I do like the way it looks, more lively than stills on their own!
Some top stores have moving Gifs that must be at least 20 seconds and are top quality. How is that possible? Just thinking out loud, perhaps I need to get out more... :)

I use GIF Brewery 3. I make a few sets of the moving ones, about 2-4 seconds each. I try to keep it at 1.5 MB. Sometimes I just leave the GIF part alone and let C4S automatically generate the stills. But for the most part I make a GIF.
My problem is I need to learn how to make my GIFs look sharp. I notice, for example, Xev Bellringer...her moving GIFs are crystal clear and flawless. My GIFs are not of good quality. They're not terrible but definitely not sharp (HD) looking. Does anyone know how I can fix that? My sales are still pretty good which is why I just leave the GIFs the way they are. But I'm thinking if my GIFs were better quality my sales would probably be better. Thanks!
Oh and I'm really happy about the new rule...no swallowing live animals and fish. I hate it when animals are abused.
**Random but...am I the only one having issues with SW?? It keeps logging me out, telling me I don't have permission to perform this action (post). SOoooo annoying. I wrote a whole big pm last week, sent it and wouldn't send. AND it got deleted. My whole message. So frustrating. The last time I contacted SW it literally took them almost a month to get back to me.**

Since Natalie mentioned Xev Bellringer, I had a look at one of her recent gifs (You, Me and My Mouth). The size of the gif is 294px × 166px, which is interesting because when you have to scale an image UP in size, it usually makes the image not as clear. C4S shows the preview gifs at 380px × 216px. I actually make mine larger than that, as I find the quality is better when it's scaled down (as opposed to UP). The file size is 10MB (mine are anywhere from 5-9MB). When you are used to doing gifs of just a few screenshots, you are used to smaller file sizes, so that probably seems huge in comparison. And finally, that particular gif is made up of 396 individual screenshots and I'm guessing, because there are so many, that is why the dimensions are smaller, so the file size isn't HUGE....which 10MB is still good sized. Personally I try not to go over 100 screenshots.
There are a few other things....if you do batching/actions in Photoshop, you can (when creating an step, as apart of your action, to resize your screenshots) choose to sharpen your images. Which will also help in the appearance of your gifs.

I did wonder how you found out the size details here but I worked it out! Yes the file size seems huge compare to the gif from screenshots. I'm still not quite sure how her gifs are so damn clear though, not that I'm jealous (I'm so jealous!)
I don't use Photoshop but I've had some success using Movavi to edit my clip first then edit it again to create a moving gif and it doesn't take much longer then what I was doing pulling stills, choosing them & making a Gif from those. Anyway I'm happy to spend more time on it if it gets me more sales. Time will tell I suppose! Such a learning curve isn't it? But a fun one!

Hi Pixiie, no it's not free but I was using Wondershare Filmora for editing but it's painfully slow to export files in HD and I find Movavi much faster, much much faster. I'm making my moving gifs by cutting out a few tiny segments from the exported clip and saving them as a medium sized gif. It's definitely a work in progress with lots of help on here but I'm liking how they look so far!
Does anyone know if it's worth to open a studio with BBWs? I heard it can be very profitable but I don't see any BBW studios in the main top50.

Perhaps not but there are thousands of studios. However, I've seen a ton of BBW clips in the Top 50 Clips section on regular occasions, there is definitely a market!

Aren't most of those clips associated with weight gaining though (those are the ones I've seen in the Top 50)? Are BBW and Weight gaining the same niche?

Did you see this? Finally!!!
IMMEDIATE CONTENT BAN
As of October 19, 2017, Clips4Sale.com will no longer allow swallowing any living or dead animal, insect or fish (Vertebrate or Invertebrate) etc. on our website.
This includes, but is not limited to: Swallowing any living or dead Goldfish, Fish, Frogs, Insects etc.
Any studio that currently has this type of content is now in a mandated account review.
Stores with more than one clip showing a living or dead animal, insect or fish being swallowed will closed while the account review is being carrried out by staff.
Studios that have been closed due to having any content with a living or dead animal, insect, fish (Vertebrate or Invertebrate), etc. must immediately go into your admin and deactivate and delete the clips from the server which can be done on the NEW UPLOADER ADD/DEL FILES page.
Once the clips have been deactivated and deleted you can have your account reviewed by contacting Studio Support at: https://support.clips4sale.com
IMPORTANT: Any attempts to bypass this rule and post banned content will result in the immediate closure of your studio and withholding of payout while a management review is carried out on your studio and/or master account.
It is possible that some stores, doing normal food and object crush, were included in the closures due to words used in active clips, Ex. Goldfish Crackers.
Please contact Studio Support at: https://support.clips4sale.com if your store was closed and you do not have any of the banned clips.

On the topic of gifs.. Make it simple for yourselves, I honestly don't have time to make gifs in photoshop etc all the time and sometimes I forget the steps. I use and I know this is the C4S thread but because I upload on IWC as well I use their smooth gif preview generator, save it and then reupload it on C4S as the preview. QUICK & EASY. No extra editing software needed to be done.

I've been playing around with this tutorial for Photoshop. You have to make a short video for the gif first. It's quite easy. Not many steps at all. Trying to get the file size down though and see what works best for clarity and loading time.

really? I didnt even see the payout percentage, I assumed it was regular clips4sale percentage, that sucks. xD you can set your own rates though, jack those prices up I guess. I'm going to use it mostly as an extra membersite probably at most for now, may cam once a week, it will have traffic from clips4sale, which will probably result in more traffic than I get from my other membership site.

It looks good but do you have to do the social media crap? I can't stand that, prefer to concentrate on making clips. Also can you just log in as and when like normal camming or do you have to schedule actual shows? I probably need to google this, the 1 minute youtube vid did not make it very clear!

Are you guys talking about Nexocams? I'm curious to see how secure their video system is. One of the things I didn't like about OnlyFans was it's too easy to use a basic browser downloader to snag videos. If C4S made a system that didn't have that flaw, it'd be a great marketing point.

I do, but only to clips that have a horror theme of some sort :) Which most of my clips have lol. Yeah it's nice and I love browsing in it. It might be a coincidence but I posted three Halloween clips last week and have seen a slight increase in hits and sales this weekend compared to my average lately.
I just found 3 new websites that are re-selling clips stolen from C4S. I guess it's a new trend to steal other people's work, watermark it with a link to your shitty pirate website and then re-sell it.

No, not new. Years ago when I had my paysite, I found a site that had my clips and various other clips on a paysite. And get this...their billing company (CCbill) was the same one that *I* used. How could they processor credit cards for a site with pirated content??! I contacted them and had to fill out paperwork and yet they STILL continued to process for them. I contacted other models (who I recognized on the site) to let them know that their stuff was there. Apparently more people had to come forward and file copyright claims before they would stop processing. I couldn't believe it. Well I did a WHOIS lookup of the domain name, got a name and it turns out the guy joined my site once, which was how he got my content.
Moral of the story: Don't do a paysite (and people are shitty).
Yeah membership based website is a bad idea nowadays. I just can't stand the fact that some russian bum is making money off my work. He recently opened his 3rd website with different fetishes. On his biggest site he has over 1k videos all from C4S. To gain access people have to pay him membership which costs $7. That's right 1000 clips for $7. The worst thing is he doesn't have to buy the content for that website anymore because he has "fans" who do it for him.

I wonder how many guys actually do it though. I mean, I know I'd be leery of giving out my credit card info to some Russia site that is doing something shady. (How do you know it's not a scam to collect credit card info?) Plus how do you know you aren't going to get a virus or something while downloading the clips? And....how did you come across the site? Simple Google search or you had to dig deeper. If it wasn't that easy to find, then maybe most others can't find it/know about it.
This kind of thing is always going to be a part of what we do, unfortunately.

It wasn't hard to find, I found it by googling my studio's name and some titles of my clips. I also found some of my clips on pornhub and they had his watermark (he's watermarking everything). He's selling memberships via keep2share.cc and he also hosts his files there. One of his websites has 15k unique visitor per month, so it's not that unpopular. That's a pretty nice traffic for a shitty wordpress blog. He also has a very active chatbox on the frontpage where people call him "an internet god" and make requests for future updates. I got chargebacks for 6 clips this month and they all ended up on his website, so I guess he's using stolen credit cards and some clips he gets for free from his "fans".

Report the site to c4s and make a support ticket with the refunds and the video titles and link then to the site. If they don't know it's there they can't work to stop it.
Keep2share honors dmca and fast, usually same day for me. Make sure to dmca everything.
Keep2share removed the files but he just reuploaded them on the next day. They don't care about constant infringers which is why 99% porn file lockers use keep2share. I did report this website to C4S and they sent me a ctrl+v response about piracy report form in the admin panel. I created another ticket yesterday and I'm waiting for their response. I just want to know if they're even trying to take down this website.

I've been lurking this thread for FOREVER. This is actually my first post. This thread helped me start up my c4s store! I get really minimal sales, not daily, every other to every 2 days or so. ive made about $80 bucks so far. I believe my store became active the beginning of October? Anyway, I REALLY would appreciate some constructive criticism on my store. I'm technically financial domination but I really enjoy exploring other fetishes as well. I do a lot of smoking and mouthy stuff too because i personally enjoy it. I try to post everyday at least once to twice. Three times if i have the extra content and dont burn out. I'm going through a massive goblin of a depression dip at the moment so i would really appreciate any and all insight!

Your video quality, lighting, GIFs, descriptions, keywords, looks, command of the English language all look pretty damn good, so you could really have something here.
I think I know what the main problems are:
1. Length of videos. Almost all of your videos are 2-4 minutes long, the vast majority of men like something longer. For me, 10-20 minutes is where I see the most sales. 8 minutes is my absolute minimum. If you look at the top-sellers on C4S, almost all of their videos are 30+ minutes.
2. Prices. Your 2-4 minute videos are $12.99-$25.99. I know you're doing the findom thing, and those prices make sense for findom videos, but findom isn't the biggest fetish on C4S. Your non-findom fetish videos (smoking, hairwashing, bubblegum etc) should be standard pricing ($1 per minute plus $0.99 per video is standard on C4S). It might sound low, but you'll get a lot more sales.
3. Previews. My videos with previews sell much better than those without. It's not about giving them anything for free, it's about the customer wanting to make sure there IS audio, that the audio is good quality, and if it's a speaking video, they want to see that you speak English well, you're audible etc. I would definitely recommend making your own previews, not using C4S's generator. For short clips I would just do a 10 second video of you speaking (so they can hear your voice), for my 10-30 minute clips, I do a proper 30-60 second preview showing several scenes. It really, REALLY increases sales in my experience.
If you don't take my advice regarding length and pricing, I totally understand because people just have different ways they like to work, and pricing especially is a very individual thing. But I would definitely recommend you do the previews, even if you don't change anything else. I released a video recently (and I thought it was a great video, promoted it a lot and expected lots of sales), but it barely sold. I looked at it and realised the preview didn't work! The file had been corrupted. I uploaded the preview again and got 4 sales in the next 24 hours alone, and many more in the days after that. The preview really makes a massive difference for me.
It also just takes time, your sales will increase the longer your videos are available, so be patient :)
Can somebody tell me please how I can get added to the private groups? I sent diamondcupcakes a PM back last January and it's still unread :/

Luna, do you mean the preview and not the Gif? I guess you do as there is no sound on the gif. And would you make a moving or still Gif as well as a preview or would you just upload a still picture instead of a gif and then also add a good preview? There doesn't seem much logic to me in creating a moving gif in addition to a moving preview to my mind but I could be missing something obvious! I definitely see the logic in creating a preview from the sound perspective, I never thought of that before. xx

Some studios create their own preview, which they insert in the description. I just use the 10 second generated preview, usually from the start, so the guys can hear my voice (very important) and see/hear the quality of the clip, whether I have a moving gif or not. I'm not showing anything too much in the 10 seconds.

I find it useful to use the featured clip facility, so that you have a row of your chosen clips showing next to the box of best selling clips. Guys can then see more than just the first showing clip in your store and one of those may appeal to them more. Go clip store, list clips, click on the star on the right of the clip and put in the dates.
Knowing whether or not you are talking in a clip is important to some guys, so making this clear in the description if possible, is advisable. Also, I use the preview option so they can hear my voice, usually 10 seconds from the start, they can see/hear the quality of the clip then too. Putting your own preview into the description is possible but a bit beyond my capabilities.

Hey Missxx and welcome...I second Luna's input and suggestions. My first thoughts after clicking on your store were...wow her GIFs look amazing, she's beautiful, her prices are way too high.

I second what everyone else has said. Your content looks great. I'm surprised actually, considering how new you are to clips.
One suggestion I have is to make your description font white. As it is now (gray), your keywords are more clear than your descriptions. I also recommend not putting your twitter handle in your watermark, as you could lose that account some day.
I know people will probably disagree with me, but I think you post too frequently. If you're trying to get $12.99 for a 2 minute clip, then posting more than one clip per day seems contradictory to me. I know you're "fishing" right now, trying to reach as many people in as many different fetishes as possible, but your prices are way too high for the majority of customers, so you're already greatly limiting your customer base. I'm not going to tell you to lower your prices, but if you choose to keep them so high, then I recommend updating once per day max. As it is now, you're just putting out more product that most won't choose to purchase. By limiting your uploads & keeping your prices high, you're sending a message that you're expensive & relaxed about it. If you continue to update multiple times per day & don't see an increase in sales, then you'll burn out faster. If you space out your updates, you'll still reach the audience you want to reach, but you'll have more content available to you for when things start to pick up.
All in all, it's really a waiting game with clips. It's also about reaching your audience, and that can take a long time. Especially if you're new to the scene, people aren't necessarily going to immediately think, "Oh, she's expensive, she must be good."
That's just my opinion. Take it or leave it. I hope it helps either way.

Thank you so much guys! I've really been struggling because when I was starting I was determined to make sure I had good quality and did more than the regular JOI CEI Findom/Femdom. It's kind of painful to think of selling My videos so low when I don't even get like $10 for most! I'm new to all of this, so it makes sense My pricing is wonky. But if clip sales Make up for it then I'm willing to test it out at least. I can always change it back. I trust your guy's opinion on it lol. I'll work on longer videos, and the clip description color. I pour TONS of effort into researching. A lot of my clips I don't talk in but I pair it with good music. Some have talking though. I mostly wanted to research more before I started using the gift of the gab in clips. I overthink a lot. SO doesn't help my anxiety. Thank you so much for the feedback. It'll help a lot with getting me to where I need to be. Should I be posting clips at $2/$3 to make the time instead? Or bump it slightly to like 4/5?
