I've been lurking this thread for FOREVER. This is actually my first post. This thread helped me start up my c4s store! I get really minimal sales, not daily, every other to every 2 days or so. ive made about $80 bucks so far. I believe my store became active the beginning of October? Anyway, I REALLY would appreciate some constructive criticism on my store. I'm technically financial domination but I really enjoy exploring other fetishes as well. I do a lot of smoking and mouthy stuff too because i personally enjoy it. I try to post everyday at least once to twice. Three times if i have the extra content and dont burn out. I'm going through a massive goblin of a depression dip at the moment so i would really appreciate any and all insight!

I agree with what other posters have said in regards to your content---it looks great, you're beautiful and your gifs are excellent. As others have said as well, your pricing is what stood out to me. But I'll get to that in a second.
Clip length has been discussed before in this thread and I do agree that 2-3 minutes is pretty short. I think around 8-12 minutes is the average, sometimes shorter sometimes longer. I don't think they need to be a certain length, but definitely longer than 2-3 minutes.
Previews we've talked about before as well and that's a personal preference. Personally, I don't use them. Spending a few bucks on a clip is not a huge investment and if you have a good description and gif, I think you're good. But again, up to you.
Which now brings me to your pricing. I understand the Findom thing, I do it as well, but I still think your prices are too high. And I mean too high for every single clip, regardless if its Findom or Ripoff or not. I feel like you are alienating customers that aren't into it, but might otherwise become very loyal customers of other fetishes that you do. It's fine to have higher priced clips here and there, I do that as well, but if you want to see more sales, the prices will have to come down.
I see clips as bait and have even said as much in some of my clips. I want them to get lured in because I always leave them wanting more. And when they always want more of you, THEN they are more likely to PAY more for clips here and there. But they aren't going to get to that point if they are put off by the prices from the get go.
I have to say that probably 80% (or more) of the guys who tribute me and have tributed me, are NOT into Financial Domination. They didn't/don't have a money fetish, they just wanted to make me happy and I told them exactly how to do it. And most of those guys are my best customers.

I agree with all of this. I think it's better to price actual findom clips/ rip-off clips higher (hell, I have one for $500 on my page) & then price the other clips lower. It's ok if you don't want to go basement prices on your shorter clips. Maybe keep the 2-3 minute ones at $4.99? Then yes, work on making longer clips. I think most guys aren't going to buy 2-3 minute clips & also you have to watch out for those guys who will just buy up all your cheap clips... because they're cheap. So I think you'd be sending the right message by not bottoming out your prices, but make the clips more affordable.
Also, I had no idea you don't talk in a lot of your clips. That's going to upset some customers. If a guy buys a couple clips & you're not talking, he might assume you don't talk in any of your clips. Perhaps include in your gif a portion of the clip where your lips are moving in the clips where you do speak. When I don't talk in a clip, I put in the clip description that there's no talking. Or you could phrase it differently so that it's positive, not negative. Something like, "Silent, sensual body tease set to music." Be careful though. If you don't own the rights to the music or it's not royalty-free, that's piracy.
I do agree that the big spenders aren't always the findom customers. If you're looking at longevity, you might make yourself a bit more available to a wider audience which will give you more of a chance of attracting some big spenders. I'm not advocate for catering to cheapos, but there's something to be said for making your content available to more people through pricing that you feel is reasonable.
I price my content differently depending on the quality of the content & whether I'm targeting a niche audience or going for a large volume of sales. It's a marketing strategy that you'll get the hang of as you go along. Most of my clips are 10-25 minutes, and I price at $1/min, but I max out at $19.99. Unless the clip is 30 minutes, and then I price at $1/min again. But again, it depends on the content & the target audience. One category I post to, I price 30 min clips at $1/min then a year later I mark them down by 50%. It's just a personal choice, and I've had 5 years to develop a personal plan that works for me & my specific target audience.

I do a lot of voice overs! I don't directly speak. The more direct is what i'll be working on doing more often. I usually state something about my voice in the description so they know if im speaking or not, but i'll probably be doing some previews as well so they can know exactly what's going on. Thank you!!

I have a store there since February and till this month i didnt sell much at all and i kept posting various kinds of fetishes, but none really stood out other than one that was a custom order and then has sold well and still does....so i was kinda leaving the clip thing a bit aside, till i got another custom order that was big, like 60 mins and decided to split that clip into various ones and posted on sites....Jesus, i should have done that way sooner....its selling like water in the desert, im number 1 sometimes 2 in this category and since then i decided to make one everyday. Its around 5, 6 mins...I mix clips and it has been selling and selling....well this month i made almost 1k just with this kind of video and not thinking abt quitting. I always take customs very seriously because this is how i know what guys like and every time i post a video that was a custom order, it sells....always. So my advice is for you to find your niche by posting custom videos that you already made in the past instead of making things from your mind first. Then, when u see sales coming in from a certain video, keep making those and always mix with something new....so post one that is selling huge and one that is a new thing for example and see if this one sells...if not, leave it, think of something else....this is how it works for me and its working fine. With camming being slower the past weeks, ive made my daily goals with clips, its worth it.

Is it a good idea to mention leaving feedback in a top description? Or is it just going to lead to a bunch of idiots clogging things up? At this point i'm mostly focused on pulling lots of clips out of my ass to boost sales and get around, so feedback might help with pointers. But i dont want a ton of "bb will u put broom up ass pls?" requests

I wouldn't invite it in the description. If you have your email address listed in your store info at the top and say they can contact you for customs, you will get guys emailing you. You will get the broom up ass requests but feel free to ignore those!

Is the 45 fee for wire transfer gone? It's not super clear since my currency gets converted and I had to wait a really long time for last payout bc checks didn't work. But looks like it's gone and it wasn't a one time thing. No info about it and site still says there's a transfer fee. Or maybe it's just my country bc check is not an option here.

I don't think there is anymore. Are you in the UK? I could have swore someone mentioned this recently in this thread. And I was thinking, it would be so nice to have a way to search *just* this thread and there in the right hand side is SEARCH THREAD. This is the first time I have noticed that and I've been posting here for a couple of years now. :P (Granted it's the first time I thought about looking for such an option as well....lol)
Anyway, to answer your question: https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?163549-The-Clips4Sale-Thread&p=3015494&highlight=wire+transfer#post3015494
Both Fetishqueen and Luna66 mentioned it back in Sept, but I guess it was a secret or something because they didn't tell anyone about it.
Added for clarification: I was referring to C4S not letting anyone know of the change, not Fetishqueen & Luna66.

When I contacted C4S they said the charge had gone even though it's still on the site! I am UK so mine was converted and it looked like I didn't get the charge last month. Hard to tell however with exchange rates etc but I don't think I was charged the fee.

I just got my first custom video request, but I am a bit unsure as he seems weirdly specific. I don't know if this is just normal?
He sent me a small tribute with his email to ask about the custom. I plan on having him pay for the custom on IWC if I do it. He sent me this long email with specific pictures and wants me to blow up childrens balloons (paw patrol, a kids show) and then pop them in a very specific way. In general I don't have a problem with this, he just seemed sooo specific and like he copy pasted the email in. He also asked for a picture of my feet in a specific way, which I would probably make a video of and make him purchase on my clip store. The kids balloons are kind of creepy though.
Do I go for it and ask him to pick different balloons, or should I just ignore the guy/tell him I am not interested? I would like to hear how more veteran clip makers would handle this. I've only been on C4S for 3 weeks.

Personally I don't do customs, but I would be VERY leery of anyone giving you that many details for a custom. There are more chances for them to complain that it wasn't what they wanted or you didn't do it *exactly* how they said. And who needs that grief?

First, it’s awesome that he tipped you to read the script. That probably means he’s respectful of your time. It might also mean he’s aware that his clip is extraordinarily specific.
If you’re not interested, don’t do it. If it makes you uncomfortable, don’t do it. If you want to charge an extra fee to do such a very specific request, go for it. (I charge extra for a fully scripted or choreographed clip). But a very specific request isn’t unusual.
Some of these customers have been ordering customs & buying clips for years, so they know exactly what they want. Most producers won’t do it exactly right, so they move on to the next producer, perhaps refining the request to get exactly what they want the next time. It doesn’t mean they’re going to get upset, but they might.
If you don’t think you can make the clip, respect the customer enough to suggest he find someone else. It’s also totally acceptable to try to negotiate with the customer, expressing exactly what part you don’t want to do. That way he can make an informed decision whether or not to pay. Sometimes there are parts they can live without & like you enough to order anyway.

Completely agree with all of this, I'll give you my take on customs albeit limited!
If it's complicated but you are happy to do it, make sure you are also happy with what you charge. Don't forget the time taken for communications, preparation etc. When you factor in several backwards and forwards messages suddenly the $10 - $15 per minute doesn't seem so much when you add up the total time you spend on the clip. Also it's a good idea to set a minimum clip length, just in case they choose to pay your custom rate but request a 3 minute clip that takes an age to discuss and prepare. What you charge is of course up to you. My rule of thumb is the more specific or personalised (you might use their name) the more I would charge and they will be happy with that.
The advantage to doing customs is the fact you have a sale in the bag already and potentially more in the future from this customer. Also as previously mentioned the idea has come from a buyer and not you so it could well appeal to others too.
Customs can be a blessing and also a nuisance!

Thank you everyone, I think I'm going to go ahead and do the custom. I think the video will sell well later and the request was something I would probably have done at some point anyways. Just make sure you receive payment before you do anything. Some guys who go into lots of details and want you to look at other sites etc are just getting off on contacting you.

My depression got SUPER bad, to the point that just thinking of filming gave me such anxiety I just filled with automatic stress. I didnt have an appetite anymore. I would hardly eat in a day just because I was stressed and not hungry! awful. So I took a day fully off. (it was really hard.) Next day I got my nails and pedi done, ive been making clips. ignore, voyeur, filming eating and such. (easy stuff that doesnt cause stress but still helps me feel productive of sorts) I'm kind of just stocking up getting ready to schedule clips and release them one by one, tomorrow ill be doing a bunch of foot/hand stuff to take advantage of this awesome cherry red gel pedi and these acrylics! I got two clip sales today (literally meager as fuck i think like $4 total lol) but its been like two days of not posting or something. im working with all i have in me at the moment! Hopefully my regular posting a few times a day will build things to a good sale pace. all types of fetishes, longer than my old 2-3 minute clips too. (i fixed all my prices on my store as well) sorry for the rant but I just wanted to vent and share!
I hope everyone has a good sale month :)

hey lovely - I suffer from GAD/OCD and depression linked to those things, I find my disorders are quite cyclic, so atm I'm at a high point after a few weeks of being real low - my advice if it's similar is to do what your doing, work super hard when you can - and have a bank of videos that can be used when you're low
good luck <3
I've made half what I made last month already - I think I'm getting a handle on what specifically I sell well in my main category - and I'm experimenting with a new second category that I think is going to sell well as well :D

For those of you with piracy issues, be advised that none of these conpanies care if your content is pirated. In adult industry, chargebacks are expected, as long as it's a low percentage c4s won't do anything significant to curtail it.
About ccbill, they process for anyone they don't care as long as it doesn't violate us law or visa/mc rules. They use to process for child model/lolita sites. None of these guys have morals.
It's up to you to protect your content & copyright. This includes hiring a dmca agent & lawyer. If your content ends up on russian server then forget it, dmca is us law. You must have your lawyer contact visa/mc & banks that process for pirate sites instead.
If you can you should slowly ween yourself off c4s onto your own platform until it becomes your secondary or eventually tertiary source of income.

Wow, so I just saw that I received my C4S deposit two days ago, Nov 2. That is totally awesome. I hadn't checked my bank account and what a great surprise to see it's been deposited. I was expecting the 7th. So far this month is going really well sales-wise. But this too shall pass haha.

Piracy is worse when you run your own site. You put 50+ videos on one site for $30 and they are all going to be ripped and uploaded. It'd take your or your dmca agent ages to get those videos down and even more work to keep them down.
At least on c4s people can't get all 500 of my videos for a super low, affordable price that they can then pirate or share passwords for. I had a website, it was NOT worth the effort or keeping track of people sharing passwords. Updating was a pure nightmare when you have 20 new videos every month.
You'd need to pay a yearly fee for credit card processing, pay for a website template or pay someone to create one for you, learn to upload and update your site, pay for website and domain hosting etc
Most of us will tell you that it is not worth paying this kind of money to start and maintain our own websites.

Agreed, Justsometwat. I had a membership site for years and closed it this year. Sales are way down for memberships due to tube sites and piracy and I don't see how that could be the way to go. Also, while in concept it sounds great to have a DMCA agent, the ones I heard of you have to find all the links yourself and report them to them. That's half the work in itself.

I have to respectfully disagree with you.
Clips4Sale is the only company that pays three different anti-piracy companies to not only act on our studios behalf and file DMCA's, but also find content that is from a C4S studio and go after it to get it taken down, at our expense.
In addition to working directly with the three anti-piracy companies we hired, we also work with three different US law firms and also two international attorney's on a regular basis going after websites that pirate content and resell it through 3rd party sites that offer money to the pirate posting the stolen content. Again none of this expense is transferred to our studio owners and Clips4Sale pays out of pocket for all of it.
If our studios are experiencing issues with piracy that hurts them and us as a company. No other clip site out there or website hosting company can make the same claims, that they actively fight to protect the copyrights our their store owners. Clips4Sale pioneered this and we will continue to offer this service to our studio owners at no charge to them.

Wow, so I just saw that I received my C4S deposit two days ago, Nov 2. That is totally awesome. I hadn't checked my bank account and what a great surprise to see it's been deposited. I was expecting the 7th. So far this month is going really well sales-wise. But this too shall pass haha.
That's so funny, I just realized yesterday mine had been deposited on the 2nd too. I just switched over to direct deposit and wasn't expecting it so fast. It was a really nice surprise!

I got my money early as well, it was a very nice surprise!
You have no idea what you're talking about. I paid for DMCA service in the past and it was no different than using piracy report on C4S. Subscription based websites are the worst bussiness model nowadays and they're easiest to pirate. Porn industry is almost dead because of huge tube sites like pornhub. Sure, there are successful membership websites like Brazzers but they're all owned by Mindgeek. Before tube sites you could make huge money by posting new content every 10 days, nowadays you have to spam new clips daily to make few thousands. So yeah if you want to get all your content pirated and posted on pornhub for free then feel free to create a membership based website.

Most people send them as an email with a download link. I've used wetransfer.com for years and have been happy with it.

Opened my studio the end of July and got my first refund today. It was a short video so it was only a few dollars, but I'm so bummed about it.

.... It's kind of painful to think of selling My videos so low when I don't even get like $10 for most! ...
This is another reason to make longer clips. For each 10min clip sold you make $6.50ish, for a 15/16min clip you make $10 per sale.
It's not really worth the secondary work (previews, promo graphics ect) for clips under 5mins

Haha I've gotten this guy before. Wheather you decide to do it or not is up to you. If you choose to, Ask him to send you an amazon giftcard for the price of the balloons and then have him send the custom fee through whatever medium you perfer. As for the type of balloons, some people have very particular fetishes some are more flexable. Never hurts to suggest alterntivies when it comes to custom requests or simply turing down requests your not in to.

Hi ladies, are any of you having issues today with your clips not showing in your store? I've had to contact support twice today, firstly a clip wasn't showing when I linked through to my store but was when I came from the category page. Then it was all fine and fixed. Now I look at my store and all three of today's clips that were showing earlier have now completely disappeared. When I link from my admin page they have gone. When I click through from the category page (which they still show on) it links to the category in my store but clips are not there. Have just contacted support again. Not happy right now :(

Probably a long shot, but have you tried clearing your browser cache? I had that issue before and support said they could see the clip in my store. They suggested I try clearing out my browser cache, and it worked.

Thank you for replies, no clearing the cache didn't work but I've been told there is a 'technical issue'...I checked some other clips uploaded similar time as mine in the same categories and a few are also not showing in the store, most are but a few are not so it's not just me. Would like it fixed though!

I just tried going to my store - first it 404'd, then reloaded after about 15 seconds, then had a huge red thing pop up saying I can't accept payment. I reloaded and it's fine. I wonder if this is part of why I am not making any money this month.
Now it says there's an internal error when I went to add a new video.
Anyone else not getting email notifications for sales today?

A few of the times I am trying to see my c4s store it's showing that I have no videos at all. Then it's showing I can't accept payments and have no videos. Then back and forth. Then I have videos again and can accept payment. I took screenshots but the support ticket isn't letting me upload the screenshots to show them. My store only works after refreshing a ton of times and going back to my link by retyping it. No one is ever going to go through that much to buy my videos. This is such a pain in the ass.

I've uploaded two new videos for later release but when I hit submit it said internal server error and while they're now listed in my clips the file is still showing in the file section so idk what's going on.
Ive decided to open a second store for like gross stuff lol. Is a second store just like opening one from scratch? Do they combine the payout?

Ladies check your clips if you have scheduled uploads, I posted 2 days ago clips were not showing in my store, yet again today I find that some of yesterdays uploads are not there, even when I go to the main site and come from the category page, no clips. WTF??? I've now rescheduled them which as what I did with the previous ones that didn't show. The rescheduled ones are still there thankfully but newer scheduled ones not there. Kind of defeats the object of scheduling...I see there are other issues too :(

Sales are so slow however, its been incredibly bad for the start of the month, I just expect the unexpected these days!

Hey, has anyone else had customers commenting about the lag issues on the member's only site on C4S? I had two people this week say the videos lag. They also said they have fast internet speed and never have an issue with lag. I can imagine that can be frustrating.
I'm going to contact support.

They will combine your payout if you use the same bank for both and all the info as far as your mailing address is exactly the same. In my experience once you have your first store, when you email them to let them know you have 10 clips in your second store they approve it much faster since they had your info on file.

Most seem to send with free link agents but I actually just put the clip up on C4S, send customer the link and let them purchase it. That means they pay the custom fee in advance PLUS regular price when it's uploaded. I tell them this in advance of course, and never had anyone complain about it. I might have lost a few customs because of it, but I think I get that back with an "extra" sale for every custom, which also helps getting it up on the category top list. I've only used link once, because I didn't feel the clip would fit my studio's style at all, and I didn't think it would sell on C4S anyway. So I didn't put it on C4S but was still happy to make it for him only, super easy to do.
