"I've sent this to Neil, the Owner of Clips4Sale and the lead programmer.

I know this has been tested several times and sales were tracking correctly, but incase there's an issue I wanted to make sure it was brought up again so they can test with your store as well.

When I hear back I'll reply again."

That was last Friday, I've heard nothing since and I'm not going to bother to chase it up. I had one customer try the link to the clip, didn't work. Same customer, no computer/browser changes tries link to store and I get the higher %. So I don't care if they say it works, it didn't work for my customer and I'm not going to have others try and it lose out on the higher %.

What I want to know is WHO is the link to the clip working for...? I would love to hear someone chime in who can verify that. Neil could just be telling you what the programmers are telling him.

This is more of what he said:

I feel like they aren't listening to us.......

Adding this......the code to the STORE is working fine for me, which is why they would see sales from THAT. It's just the code/link to the individual CLIP that is not working.

When I was having a lot of problems once, they gave me the tech email address...saved a lot of hassle!

Is anyone else still waiting for their payout this month? Mine usually comes through by the 5th of each month, but I have yet to receive it this month. I live in Canada and had issues with late payments back in 2016 as well

I'm in Canada too, I usually get my check somewhere between the 8-12th, and this month I got it today.

I've never sent out a mass email like that and I don't want it to come across as spammy, but hey if a customer consented to it at one point (to receive emails from C4S/me), then why not utilize it, right?

UPDATE: I just read the rules for that and this is one of them "The subject of the email should not have a domain URL within the text." I wonder if that includes the C4S domain......

You could put the URL in the body of the message. I have used this feature before and some did respond...they indicate if they're open to be contacted (you'll see that not all are signed up to it) and I expect they can turn it off if they don't want to be contacted anymore.

Katy, how can you tell the difference? I clicked on the LIST EMAIL link and I get pages of emails that just show the status as ACTIVE or INACTIVE. Does ACTIVE mean they want to be contacted?

I use the email feature at least once a year during the holidays. I'll send a mass email out wishing all my fans a Happy Holiday Season/Happy New Year and I also thank them for all their support. I should probably utilize it more but you're right, I don't want it to come across as spammy. I receive a decent amount of responses back.

I don't know what INACTIVE means, maybe support should be able to explain. Everyone ACTIVE will be prepared to receive to emails from us. You'll see from the email template the number of buyers the emails will go to and it will seem fewer than the total number of buyers you've had for your clips.

I haven't sent an email for a while but I make them friendly and informative rather than obviously trying to sell to them.

Just email support they will initiate the process with you, usually it is for 24 hours. You'll need a ftp program

Do you mean your C4S store? It's already there, top right of the screen next to the shopping cart. If it's for your own site, I'm afraid that's beyond my skills!

Did you notice they changed the top of every category page. Instead of showing newly updated studios it's now showing popular studios in that category. I don't think I like this as it favors studios who are already popular and making money and makes it harder for newer studios as they now get less exposure.

Ahh crap, I didn't notice this. Maybe that's why my sales have been so abysmal. One thing that I always thought was good about Clips4Sale was that they made a even playing field for all models and it's worrisome that they are heading away from that

That seriously STINKS! That carousel is a very important feature for selling our clips on the site. It's what the customers see first, it's why we choose that first image to be eye-catching. I'm really not happy about this!

It looks like it's all the stores in the Top 50 (Stores) in each category. So that's 50 stores getting featured and it doesn't take much to make it on there if you at least make a few sales in a category.

Wonder why they changed though as NEW content would be FRESHER that the Top 50 stores, one would think....

You need to get those sales first, and some categories are harder to break into than others, which is what the carousel helped to achieve. It stinks.

But customers can still see a still image of your newest update if they put their mouse over your store name in the Newly Updated stores list in each category.

It would be nice if C4S could add some kind of feature where a customer could see a page of screenshots of NEW updates. For example, I just went to the Kinkbomb site and the landing page is exactly what I just described. Customers can do that with our individual stores, by choosing the list or grid feature. Guys are visual creatures and there is a lot of text on C4S site. Would be nice if they could find a way to change the layout or offer other viewing options.

It's not the same at all. Seeing the image of the clip in the carousel as soon as they go into the category is far and above more noticeable than having to look down, see your name in text only and decide whether or not to see the image. That's relying on how appealing your store nam is. This does STINK!

I've had a good flick through the last half a dozen pages but I can't see anything... about the new offered payment methods (at least for UK studios). They were offering Paxum and something else. I opted for Paxum. Does anyone have any clue as to when we would expect these payments to show up?

I don't know if it's related but, there a few of us on TTM that should've been paid via Paxum yesterday & it's late.

I starting to think there might be an issue with Paxum here.

I didn t get it from TTM via Paxum as well. I planned to wait at least 5days, until Monday to start sending emails.

I know this is the wrong thread but, in the few years that I've used Paxum with TTM to receive payments - I've always been paid within a few hours on Wednesday.

TTM have sent my email onto their accountants now so, hopefully, it's just a minor glitch that will soon get resolved.

Might be an issue with your particular bank. Mine came early, direct deposit to a US bank on November 2.

Is it me or sales this month are so low...Last month was terrible for me if it comes to sales, and this I feel is not gonna be better...My stats are quite good, nothing changed...I update daily and I get like 1 sale per day :( Anybody having a crap month too?

Last month was actually my best month in the whole year and a half I've been making clips, this month has been a little slower getting off the ground, but it was mid-month when it started raining money in October so I'm going to keep my fingers crossed I get a repeat performance.

Do you use the email feature in C4S to get customers returning for more? If not, you should. Do you analyze your sales and find any trends, such as what's selling the best and ramp that up?

Yes I use email feature, and yes I analyze my sales ( I always done that)...right now every fetish that was selling for me great, just doesn't work, and I am about 4 years on clips4sale, so I think I know what works for me...but it's just not working :D

Yeah I second this, what I tend to do is film a bunch if clips in my biggest selling category, and then slip in some things I'm interested in as tester clips, then if one of those does well I'll add some more of that fetish to my to do list.

It's been terrible for me for about a month now too. This is the fourth clip in a row now that hasn't sold more than once or twice. They are in (what used to be) my best selling categories and similar to clips that used to sail right to the top every time. Two of these were customs which also usually sell well. I'm suddenly out of the top 50 in my favorite category, despite a fresh clip this weekend of a type that used to be super popular. Checking the top clips, that theme is just gone. How odd - it's not like every guy of a specific fetish suddenly give up on it. I've always been in the top 3-10 of this category even when I haven't posted there for a long time. I really don't understand. I've been mixing and developing my themes as well and nothing seems to work.

So I've been reading these comments about how categories dry up for some of you? (And when you say categories, I'm assuming we can say fetishes/categories, same thing).

I have had a totally different experience. And I wanted to add that to the conversation, because some lurkers/newbies can be reading this and think that's what to expect. Some fetishes I've been doing for *years* and I still have customers who buy those clips when I post new ones. Many of them customers who have been with me for years.

So when people come here and say this is happening to them, it makes me wonder what they are doing? Were the clip sales before from regular customers? Or not? And if they were from regular customers, are they still buying your other clips? Do you have fetishes that you still do consistently well with? Do you have a following? Can you look at your clips and do you have....a trademark style/niche? Or are your clips all over the place, as far as categories go? Did you start out with a kind of vision of what you wanted you and your clips store to be? Or were you just throwing spaghetti at the wall? Over the years have you tried to upgrade your clips, your equipment, your wardrobe, props, place where you shoot, etc?

I just don't see how......guys who know your personal style, LIKE it and regularly buy certain types of clips from you, just suddenly stop. Now I could maybe see it if it was a popular category that wasn't reflective of what you normally shoot and you were getting sales from customers who weren't your regulars, who maybe were just into that fetish. But your main fetishes...? I mean, I would think if you were doing them for years that you'd have a loyal following of guys that 'know' you for that particular fetish....?

I do 95% humiliation and sell really, really well in it. When I make a couple cbt or intox videos they also sell really really well, however if I make 5+ of those videos a month the first one or two will sell and the remaining do not (or not well at least).

If I take a break of a month or two and return to those categories they sell well again and consistently continue to sell even though some are 3+ years old. Often times my multi-part intox videos from a few years ago will get good sales out of no where.

At one point I did some nose blowing and sneezing videos and I made a pretty penny off a 2-3 minute long video. When I tried it again it got almost no sales.

Maybe it's the time or date I uploaded it, didn't put it in the right category, not the right keywords, maybe setting or outfit wasn't fitting, there's a lot of variables as to why some of these videos haven't sold. I've even got some videos that have never gotten a single sale on it, even with great setting/outfits.

I think what also affects these things is that the categories at the time might have been over saturated or simply "dead" at the time so no one took notice of the update.

Like with my cbt or intox some of my other categories that behave like that are feminization/sissy, weight humiliation, even joi (though I always include humiliation as a main element of it).

The one thing that pretty consistently sells for me is humiliation and I think it's because I am not using femdom as it's main category. Femdom is being flooded (as is findom) because people think it's easy work.
