You're incredibly insulting when referring to other models. You're asking for advice on how to do things differently but insulting those that do do things differently.
I think you mis-read what I wrote... :) lol
I wrote that ''Obviously the reason why 95% of girls don't post long previews CANNOT be because they are lazy or foolish,
instead there must be a logical reason why they choose to not do it''.

You'll want to do some research on timewasters. The reason those posting clips in the Domme and humiliation categories don't post previews. Most guys want free wank material. The guys messaging you is proof that they're looking for even more free wank material. Even if a guy buys a clip and messages you, unless it's asking for a custom and accompanied with payment, they again want free stuff. Our time is better spent just putting out more material and our time is best compensated when they buy our clips. Free previews don't often help in this category and more hurt. There's no real "money shot" here and any one word or second is all the guy needs to get off.
Thankyou, I will tonight change all those previews to just 10-12seconds length, and see how that plays out in terms of sales.

I don't think misread, you've been down on a lot of models and customers with almost every post.
I think it's best to look at your own work and look for correlation. I have a spreadsheet for every year, for every sale, every day's total in money earned and in sales from that day, every tribute. How many videos I uploaded that month and how many days had updates, how much of my monthly earnings were tributes, etc. Then at the start of the next year I find what days sold best every month, what months were just all around bad, etc. I make adjustments from that.
I have some sites I don't even upload certain categories to because hither don't get sales. I've done this to learn what works for me and how I can improve.
I suggest something of the same for you.

The big test is TIME. I wonder how many people in this thread are still around and still making sales 7 years later. (First post was back in 2011). I am and I know many others are, but many others aren't.
Anyone can start up a studio and get initial interest/success, but it's sustaining and increasing that week after week, month after month that takes perseverance. Coming up with new ideas, keeping things fresh and keeping your customers coming back. For months and years. Even through the slow periods and the times things aren't working right on the C4S site.
We could all sit here and bash/give our 2 cents on how others do things, but what's the point? Those who are making money are going to keep doing their thing regards if someone likes it or not. Their customers are going to keep buying from them as well. And those who aren't making money will either switch things up or give up.

10 second previews work for me, they don't need more than that to hear my voice and assess the video/audio quality...the title, description and gif give the information about the clip.

As far as previews go for me, it depends on the clip really. I don't really have a hard and fast rule for everything, some things it's a very short preview, some it's a little longer, sometimes with voice sometimes not, it depends on what I think will be the most tempting to make someone want to see more without giving the whole game away.

We used to offer 1~ minute clips, except on things under 10 minutes. I began scaling that back to 45, then 30, now some are only 10 seconds or so. The only complaint I remember seeing was a guy who hadn't purchased in years, and wasn't a regular buyer to begin with.
*Edit - This was back in the day when you could search customers by name. Miss those times! :-\

Hi there, your studio is actually the one which gave me the idea to launch my ''Strip Wrestling Matches where Loser gets Diapered'' brand (JDoE ~ https://www.clips4sale.com/studio/126577/jdoe-strip-wrestling-federation),
as I remember reading about the huge success which you had with those style of matches which you did with Sinn Sage & Kymberly Jane (your clips made it to 1# top selling clip on c4s I remember reading)! 8)
But so thanks for the advice.
The preview length for my wrestling brand clips has proven itself to be correct how it is, but the length of the previews for my verbal-humiliation clips seems to be way too much free content, and so I'm gonna spend tonight redoing all those previews. :)
Just a warning, the site seems to be having problems right now. If you post a new clip the preview pic won't load in and it seems the traffic hits in our administration page isn't counting page hits right now.

Neil said the popular studio carousel is meant to be on the main list page...the problem was they had this in the categories too, instead of the recent uploads.

Thanks Katy I must have missed that. I still don't like it but I suppose most guys would search by category or keyword anyway? I don't know. And at least the recent uploads are still there as before in the list and category pages as they should be. Part of the reason I love C4S is you can control your own exposure to a certain degree and that's really great and fair, giving new & established studios equal chance to be seen while still promoting the top 50's. Don't change stuff please!

Hello I also did experience extremely high sales volume in October, but early - mid November was extremely badly for me, although things did pickup abit towards the end when I released 2 new videos.
I don't think there is such a thing as 'seasonal traits' in terms of sales though, as there are literally hundreds of millions of guys out there, so it'd be impossible for all of them to collectively be leas interested in buying clips at the same time as each-other. :)
I found that for me personally it was simply the 2 girls in my November clip didn't appeal to many guys compared to the ones in my previous few clips, hence less sales.
What is the link to your store? :)
And what websites do you promote your clips on + By what method do you promote them?

I did really well in October, but I uploaded every day in October, November and December have still been pretty decent though for me, better than the months before October. I'm not sure if that's partially a seasonal thing (subs wanting to make sure I have a good Christmas ;p) or because I've done a lot of collabs lately with other clip makers and I've netted a few new fans that way, maybe both.

Hello!
I don't understand this mail. Who can explain?
Store #..... just received a Charge Back for:
SO# xxxxxxxx
Order Date: 2018-10-31 20:33:06
Cost 363.57 (217.97) Clip Order
Your admin will reflect this adjustment and the amount of $ 363.57 will be forgiven as part of your chargeback forgiveness.
How much it will be?
I am very afraid, because i see this "Studio Global Rank #7274, Down 5565"

You have a clip costing $363?!? :O
What it means though is that the customer who bought it has managed to get their bank to reverse the transaction, and so that sale has now been cancelled, so you won't get the money.

Second, the message says it's been forgiven which means it won't cost him anything? Happy to be corrected...

We talked about the Chargeback Forgiveness in this thread before.
Copied and pasted from another post:
""Back in March, Clips4Sale Owner Neil announced a Chargeback Forgiveness Program was coming, and now it’s here! Starting with July 7th payouts to studios, Clips4Sale will return any chargeback deductions from January 1, 2018 through June 30, 2018. Any chargebacks received during this period will be forgiven and included in the July 7th check. Studios can see the amounts that have been returned to them by checking their Admin Sales Reports.
Going forward, chargebacks will appear in studios’ Admin Page, but funds will not be deducted from future payouts. The only exception to this will be if a studio’s chargebacks are over 2% of their gross sales in chargebacks."
boyru, contact C4S to see if you have been credited back for this per their Chargeback Forgiveness program. (Not sure if it qualifies because of the 2% stipulation)
I'd also ask them if that customer had a sales history with C4S prior to making that order with you. The reason I mention this is because I thought C4S required customers to verify their identity if their first order was over $200. (Used to be over $100).

C4S (10:37:20) : unfortunately yes, this was a scammer who purchased many clips on this order not just from your studio. once credit card holder noticed the charge they disputed with the bank fraud department who then issued a chargeback to us.
it was massive order and download for very big sum :(

I've noticed the same thing. I've got a definite downtick in sales compared to the last few months. However, I'm seeing a solid pickup in Pornhub and Xvideos traffic, so spiking a bit on ad revenue, which helps a little.

The last three Decembers were my best months of those year so I don't think it's that. Something is off with this December so far but I could see it picking up so I'm not writing the month off just yet.

Yup. December is usually one of my best sales month, but this month is a little slower than I expected. But I agree, we are only a third of the way through the month. It's not horrible, but it's not on par with previous years.

Yes, this is it. I have HD WMV clips that have only sold once end up on pirated sites that were in those refunded orders. About 90% of my sales are HD/4K MP4 and SD MP4. Its very rare that any of the WMV sell.

Good day! :) If you use the c4s membership site then you should just be aware that the "streaming only" does not mean that your content can't be downloaded/ripped/recorded off the site. If you offer a lot of clips for one monthly price, that could turn out bad for you. However, if you cultivate your membership site on it's own and know of this, then you can still make nice use of it. Although I would consider nexocams or onlyfans in that case.

One question I've got for all of you,
purely just out of curiosity tbh.
I know we all produce & release a different number of clips per month, but so my question is-
"How many sales do you get on average, per each clip, in it's 1st month of release?"
I personally need to make 20 sales of a clip to cover it's cost of production,
but then any/every sale after 20th is pure net profit for me! :)
And I typically have been averaging 50 sales per clip within it's 1st month of being released.
(A few clips made it to the 60 - 70s, but others barely got into the 30s).
But so I just wondered what everyone else's comparable sales-numbers are like?
We're halfway through the month and I'm now ready for December to finally start getting good. I'm running nearly $200 behind last December so far and I'd like to make up lost ground.

Another question I've got, which hopefully someone will be able to provide a reasoned answer to-
Is it better to list your store in a category if your niche which gets less traffic than the main category for your niche, but which you will subsequently dominate the top stores/clips category for, and so always be highly visible in that category
/
Or is it better to list in the main category, but risk getting less instant exposure?
I can list in either "Fantasy Wrestling" or "Female Wrestling" category.
I used to list in the main category Female Wrestling, but found that virtually all the other clips listed there are competitive brutual style wrestling, whereas mine are 'strip wrestling - albeit made to look competitive'.
Some of my early clips took top rank in category, and 2 of them even made it onto the top 20 of entire site!!
But last 2 months slowed massively, so I changed category to 'Fantasy Wrestling'.
I now rank 3rd in category + 5 of my clips show in the top 50 of category list; But because its a less viewed category my store's hits from it are lower too. :/
For example so far this month I've had 46 hits from that category, last month when I listed in the Female Wrestling category though I got 250 hits from there, and similar/higher hits from there in the previous months also.
But so whilst in that category I did get more hits, I have no way of knowing what the conversion rate from hits-sales is from customers who discovered my store via category search.. :/
(So it may possibly be that in this new category I get less hits, but higher number of those hits turn into actual sales vs previous, or not). :|
But so I just wondered if anyone had any advice regarding how best to deal with this situation please?

Because when I look at a store, if I see duplicate versions of the same clip clogging-up the list of clips it puts me off wanting to scroll down to checkout the full range of clips, as you have to experience the annoyance of a duplicate for each..
