Napping, Resting, Limp Fetish, Momma's Boy, all gone.

EDIT: Abused Shoes, gone.

Just FYI though - the categories have been deleted but the clips haven't. The clips will still be found by a search (at the present time).

Yup, Limp use to be a BIG category for me on C4S but then the credit card companies started putting their foot down and all my Limp clips started getting deleted. I stopped shooting Limp clips over a year ago because the clip sites that didn't delete them don't get me anywhere the sales that C4S does so it's a waste of time shooting them. It's funny how if I shot that content as movie I'd have no problem from anyone but since it's sold as a fetish clips it's considered dangerous by credit card companies.

Some rules were recently loosened where "KO" and "knockout / knocked out" were allowed again (out cold however, was not though), I guess that's next on the chopping block. :(

Edit: Peril is gone too.

Wow, no "brat" even when doing a search. "girl" categories seem to be gone too.

Ohhhh I just scrolled down the categories... they've been mega-culled! It's not a long comprehensive list now! I like this because it's CLEAR. I don't like this because they haven't told us!

Okay, so to those of you that had clips in those (now-gone) categories....are the clips still in your store? Did they get deleted? And if they are still in your store, is there a category associated with them? I agree with CatBBW....I can't believe they don't even bother to tell us clip producers. I never understand that about C4S. Sure they post another Webinar about...whatever....but don't bother to tell us about things that are going on with the site...not getting sales emails, categories deleted, customers getting double charged, etc, etc. THOSE are the things that I want to know about.

The clips are still on my store but don't have a main category listed so I had to update the ones I've found so far with a new category. Yes, C4S sucks at letting us know what's going. This message thread keeps me more up to date on what's happening on the site than the management at C4S do.

Still in my store, but NO, no Main category. Plus can't be found via the main category you put it in (cos category no longer in drop down) but COULD be found (and this is going on my searching about 12 hours ago - might have changed since!) if you typed in keywords.

So, clips not deleted, can't be found via category browse, and if you try to update the clip(s) that now have a MAIN deleted category it tells you that you need to add a main category before you can submit.

Tbh after what happened with PH I’d expect sites to clamp down on some stuff

The same company that owns PH, runs C4S. Platforms not connected to Mindgeek have nothing to fear yet.
I suggest you content creators have a backup, any and every thing associated with PH/Mindgeek is at risk.
If you can, start your own site and work directly with Visa/master card.

At $500 - $1000 a pop that's not really an option for many small time models. This is why we use big platforms

When a customer buys a clip(s) from c4s, they pay mind geek.

On a platform, the actions of a few might endanger the entire eco-system as in the current case at hand. It's $83 per month, it's the cost of doing business. Depending on your volume, some 3rd parties are willing to pay the $1,000 for you. MV almost got in trouble because one person uploaded a clip with her k9. In terms of OF, they got in trouble for VAT and they currently have a piracy problem. With every platform, there will be something that can ultimately bring them down. Many platforms have come and gone (youkandy (https://www.xbiz.com/news/235698/youkandy-com-shuts-down-models-claim-theyve-been-stiffed)), leaving content creators struggling to find a replacement. Having a backup platform or your own site is not optional at this time.

A lot of us have our own sites, but the key is traffic. Customers come and go and have to be replaced regularly just to stay afloat. That is pretty difficult to get on one's own. Would be great if bigbox sites were not needed but the reality is most of us do require them as a traffic source.

so C4S are owned by mindgeek? Im not really sure what you mean by this tbh - it was sold to us as a partnership not mindgeek taking them over

the VAT thing was oversold tbh with OF, they didnt get in trouble as such, they tried to argue VAT wasnt applicable to their platform and lost, so have to backpay & started charging it, the same happened on AW years back - people just panicked and oversold the issue lol

When a clip is purchased on c4s, the payment goes to mindgeek not neil. On the checkout page, the companies listed are mindgeek companies. tax is a very big deal in every country, there can be criminal and civil repercussions for not paying/collecting tax. If OF worked a deal without paying any significant fine or doing prison time is very good. The former owner of mindgeek was arrested for tax problems years ago.

this is understood but every site starts out small and grows over the years. Neil struggled for years to get anyone to sign up to c4s, back then the internet was smaller, DVDs were the main income earner for studios, fetish studios barely existed, in the end it became a success due to hard work from neil, his team and the studios that joined early. My point is you have to start somewhere, many sites grow faster due to financial investment and user uploads. A small startup studio producing it's own content will never get the traffic numbers PH, c4s, onlyfans has. You don't need a lot of traffic, you need paying traffic.

I'm not telling anyone to get off c4s, I'm just saying get a backup plan when/if the powers that be (visa/mastercard) pull the plug on that platform or any other platform connected to MG, currently PH premium/modelhub is unable to accept payment from customers so content creators on those platforms exclusively are unable to earn.

I’m British so I followed the VAT thing well, it wasn’t a case of tax avoidance it was a case of them believing they didn’t need to pay VAT due to ambiguity in the law, arguing that in court & losing, they then implemented what needed to be right away

they got a bill to pay for the VAT during the time the court ruling was happening but beyond that it wasn’t a case of avoidance, like I say the same happened with AW years back

I don’t know why it blew up to be such a big thing but yeah, as much as I’ll criticise OF as they deserve it a lot this time it’s not the big deal it’s made out to be

thats a shame about C4S, it definitely seemed when it was announced it was a minor partnership, I despise mindgeek so hate making money directly for them :( but yeah more eggs is always a good idea, whether it’s other sites or having your own

Not sure if this is new, but in admin the categories aren't showing in the drop down menu. From what I can see the entire listing was removed and the clips are still there on the server, so you have to look under clip name to see what was removed.

I was searching my store by being in my store (as in what the customer would see) and typing the deleted cetegory into the search box (so it searches that store only).

Just checked and my update from last night isn't on my store. Checked the front page and went through a bunch of studios that just posted new clips and none of theirs are on their pages either. Guess I can't upload until this is fixed and that sucks because I've been doing great so far this month and don't want this to screw with my sales momentum.

Yup, same. I also checked other stores to make sure it wasn't just me. I contacted C4S this morning to see what is going on because.....of course no message in the admin!!! *sigh* They said it's a server issue and they are working on resolving it.

First Right of Refusal. Usual in partnerships, keeps one partner from selling their part of the partnership to just anyone ie I'm gonna sell my share of the business to my idiot nephew for a dollar!!
I think it's a bit disingenuous to say point blank that MG doesn't own c4s. It's a business partnership, money exchanged hands, they own part of it. What that percentage is we obviously don't know but they are owners along with Neil.
Idk I can't help but feel that Neil made a deal with the devil and that we will be the ones to suffer. Hopefully I'm wrong.

I wonder what c4s/ Neil got out of this partnership besides Neil getting $$ and MG getting a cut of profits. It looks to me like nothing. MG could use their capital to upgrade the site infrastructure so it's not always breaking. Remember all the features we've been promised? The ones that have never materialized?
I've always felt that despite its faults, Neil really cares about c4s. It is something he created and grew and could be proud of. Ofc nothing is perfect but I always felt he sincerely cared and was doing his best. MG is a soulless corporation. The only thing they care about is profit. C4s and all of us producers are just cogs in the machine to them, replaceable parts that can/ will be discarded without a second thought.
I'm not usually so pessimistic but we've all seen how MG operates. Neil chose to get in bed with them and I don't see anything good coming from it. Would love to be proven wrong.

They admitted (were forced to admit) that Twitter has suspended the automated-tweets feature (or rather Twitter still has it | but have suspended clips4sale specifically :: kept ManyVids though), but refused to provide any info about whether or not there are plans to get this restored or not.

Hey guys, I'm having a bit of confusion. I see a lot of people (not just on here) saying the category "brat girls" was deleted - I can still see the category, browse it, and I'm even able to upload clips using brat girls as a main category. Was it undeleted, is this just some kind of glitch?

My store's main category, and a majority of my videos, fall under "brat girls". I'm just wondering if it's safe to upload videos using this category? I can see multiple videos have been uploaded in the category today alone. Will I still appear under the recently updated stores using this category?
