Hey girls, I am fairly new to C4S, this is going into my second month and I have made over 1700 bucks in 45 days. I am working hard and uploading 5 new videos a day not to mention the re-formats. My biggest question right now (since I have a lot) is can anyone give me step by step instructions on adding analytics to my studio, which selections on setting up the analytics do I use? There are a lot of options and it doesn't seem to work, or at least point me in the right direction since a google search brings me to this site every time.
Thanks
SarahsxxxSecrets

I dont live in the US and the payment options for internationals are ridiculous. This is just a hypothetical here, but do you think it would be at all possible to somehow open up a bank account in america (preferably myself if possible, if not then a friend, or is there a service that offers something like this?) and transfer it over to my usual account? Or is C4S just a no go for me? I'd really love to work on there but they make it really inconvenient and unfair for anyone outside the US :/

Hello - I'm sorry your feel our type of payouts for International Producers is unfair. We offer to send you a check for free or you can get the money you earn from your clip sales sent to your bank via a wire transfer which costs $45.00. If you have a US bank account, regardless of where you are from, and we pay to it then we will send you a tax form and you would be responsible for paying income tax on all monies earned. Also, we would need a photo ID and a signed W9 for whoever is the payable (if different from your name) if you use someone in the US to open an account. The person noted as the payable on the account must also be the one providing the documents for verification purposes. You can always contact me directly as well with any questions.

Thank you for the reply Sara, I had already read everything I found on Googles site about Anyaltics and know how that side all works, my issue is "Which option's do we choose when setting up analytics? There are multiple options for Multiple domain names, locations, pages.... its a pain to try them all and check them one by one. If you could guide me into that direction I would apprechiate it. Does anyone here use final cut pro for editing their c4s clips, or another editing "pro" package?

I use Adobe Premiere Pro CS5

Use this code and just replace your UA #

script type="text/javascript">

var _gaq = _gaq || [];
_gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-1536579-6']);
_gaq.push(['_trackPageview']);

(function() {
var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true;
ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://ssl' : 'http://www') + '.google-analytics.com/ga.js';
var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s);
})();

Hey, did it say Suncoast/trop1 or something like that? Today is the first time I have ever had a sale from that company and I have sold over 400 clips in two months. I know its the name customers are billed on their credit cards but I'm not sure if that's the Gizmo card or what.

Nope it wasn't Suncoast, it looked like a normal guy. Just super random that it wasnt via the normal payment gateway

I couldnt find this info in here, but I need to ask. So I have people who allow me to send them newsletters, then I have people who contacted me through my email. I was wondering if there was a way to pick and choose who got the newsletter and who didnt? Or do you have to send it to everyone? I dont want to delete anyone from my email list tho. I was trying to figure out how to do it, but I cant.

Its been slow for me because I havent been uploading like I should be. Ive been a little lazy the last couple week, including with personal things going on. But now I have a ton of requests I need to do, so that makes me a little hopeful for next month. This is my first month. Also Id like to add, my prices are pretty low because I dont want people to be disappointed and feel ripped off, I think for my better clips (especially when I get a quality camcorder) I will up the price a little. I have a horrible digital (bad quality) and a decent webcam, but 2 of my laptops broke so Im stuck on the desktop with it :( but Im looking forward to being able to afford a camcorder. :)

Oh my.... I have been trying to communicate today with c4s support staff but we are getting no where. Even though I reply to them using the same support ticket each time, every answer I get is from a different member of staff who hasn't read what has previously been said, and the last time, they didn't even read the question they received from me. I. Give. Up.

I have also found that previous emails under the same ticket aren't read. I have problems sometimes with my pictures or gifs not showing in the category I uploaded to or in my store...sometimes I don't show in the category at all and one guy has told me twice that I won't show in a category unless I have 5 clips there, which is completely untrue.

I don't know about scheduled banners I'm afraid.

I'm guessing resources are limited but it would help if studio support were 1) aware of what is and is not allowed under the terms and 2) enforced them. Even AW watches the clips to make sure nothing illegal is going up.

Did you happen to change the category at some point? Videos will dissapear from the category if you edit the category. If you do edit it may take a few days for it to show up anywhere on the site.

I have been quite pleased to see steady sales in the past few months, since I kind of gave up posting new videos for a while--been busy with other things. I haven't even checked to see if we are still Number One in that one category or not, or as high in the other ones we were doing so well with (no, not 'OMFG Hot Girl' :rotfl:)

Since we have at least another couple hundred hours of video to put up, this is encouraging. Time to get off my ass and edit some more clips I think.

About Final Cut Pro--it's very good, and from what I hear the more you learn how to use it, the better it gets--quite a good program. I gave up though because all our original videos have been saved in the .MPG format and it doesn't feed well in Final Cut Pro. So I've been using the simple and free MPEG Streamclip program. Pretty easy to use and works fine with .MPG files.

A word of warning to anyone who wants to try it, though--best to close the program before starting with a new clip production, if you are going to export the final product clips into different formats. It kind of gets stuck in the last mode you exported with the next clip. It's pretty simple to just restart it instead.

No...I've just uploaded one now that isn't showing in the category I put it in, I also uploaded it in another format in another category and it's showing fine in that one. I can either struggle to explain to C4S what the problem is, be told that it won't show unless I have 5 clips in that category and then eventually get a tech guy to look, by which time I will be way down on the list of updated studios...or try it in a 3rd format and have it show without trouble. Maybe it's a server issue...

Wow so funny what some of these guys are into, that site is amazing! Everything you can imagine there's a fetish for, it's in there.

Who knows, maybe it will even sell. Some of the people here will know far better than I ever would; maybe HaydenBlue could give you an idea, just to name one member who seems to know a lot about what works there.

Maybe if you filmed yourself giving him orders as well, and mixed that video in with him groveling and obeying, it would work better. I have no idea as I am not into it. I'd be curious to see how it works for you though.

I just wanted to share what my experience with C4S has been like since I opened a store last month.

-> Week One Report:
I uploaded a couple times a day, everyday for the whole week. Half of my sales come from Germany and all my sales happen overnight while I'm asleep.
Total Uploads: 28 Videos
Total Sales: 23 Sales

-> Week Two Report:
I uploaded a few times for three days this week. The videos that were sold this week were from just two people. One of them was a repeat who bought one, liked it and bought another and another. I got my first custom this week!
Total Uploads: 6 Videos (1 custom)
Total Sales: 8 Sales

-> Week Three Report:
Uploads attract attention, it's only when I upload that the day or the next day I get buyers. Buyers happen in the AM time.
Total Uploads: 7 Uploads
Total Sales: 9 Sales

-> Week Four Report:
I had a customer on Sunday morning buy two videos of a category and two hours later came back to buy two more videos of the same category, then he emailed me to make more.
Total Uploads: 8 Uploads (1 custom)
Total Sales: 17 Sales

-> Week Five Report:
Okay, so no uploads means practically no sales. I got somewhere between 130-170 visitors a day this week for no uploads. Oh, I made a banner this week too and they post it on different categories every hour.
Total Uploads: 0 Uploads
Total Sales: 2 Sales

Other notes: I got a couple emails from guys who couldn't spell (at all!) and I had a terrible time trying to figure out what they were trying to say, but they are real buyers. I checked their names and they have bought a couple videos from me, so I guess what I'm trying to say is illiterate C4S guys are way different from typical webcam guys.

Maybe i overlooked this somewhere in the thread,but it seemed i could never really find a definitive answer-can you make clips and do they actually sell if you do not record in HD?I have an HD webcam but my laptop is slowly dying and will freeze up every single time i attempt to make a clip in anything higher than 640x480.if i remember correctly,some ppl said to just forget about making clips if you couldnt record in atleast 720,but others said that they do it all the time (forgive me if im wrong and ive overlooked vital information to my question,this thread is huge and it took me several days to read it with all of lifes interruptions)And if I CAN actually sell those clips,what file type should i save them as??? Im not sure what would look the best/upload and download the fastest etc I have absolutely no clue about file types unfortunately-Ive only just completed registration tonight but Im chomping at the bit to start filming,Ive recently been diagnosed with a type of auto immune disorder that basically makes camming almost impossible now.Any advice would be much appreciated and I apologize if ive asked one of those annoying "broken record" questions!

Try lowering your screen resolution before you start recording. Everything is going to be huge on your laptop but that should do the trick! :)

I save mine as WMV files and they are 864x480.

I have seen girls that post 'humiliation' clips of their guys (slaves?) doing stupid stuff, I guess they sell. You have the clip and proper documentation might as well check.

The majority of my sales are 720 HD (1280×720 or 16:9 ratio) saved as .mov (which is a mac format) but i also have some older clips that i've saved to 640x480 or 640x360 (widescreen) that have also sold with no complaints. My older computer also cant push HD or really much of anything so while I was using it I was only saving in SD (640x480 or 640x360) formats and they we're selling fine but now that I have HD options those are the main sellers.

If I was you I would film your clips in the size that makes your computer happy now, add the output size to your description and post as often as you can. Guys will buy them, maybe a few guys will be turned off due to the size but probably very few. I've heard girls say the basic windows format sells the best but I've only started converting my clips so I cant say.

If your really worried, keep in mind that the basic youtube size is 320x240.

Go to your destop, right-click and go to "Personalize" or go to the start menu and find the "Control Panel" (sorry, I'm just trying to be as detailed as possible), find "Display Settings" and from there you will see two boxes that say 1 and 2. Classy_Katy
11-19-2012, 02:29 AM
I've only made one of my clips HD, it sold just once in that format and took forever to save in HD, 1080 x 1440. I use an HD webcam c920 (only does widescreen) and record using the Logitech software in the max resolution of 1080p, which is HD.

Then I edit in Windows Movie Maker and save it to DVD size - 720 x 480, which is not HD...I say that I am using an HD webcam and HD mic (that I use separately).

If a clip is really long I may save it to email 320 x 240

Then I convert the DVD saved clip to MP4 and MP4 iPhone using conversion software.

You're right Anika, that size won't be HD but maybe they used an HD camera and getting confused (unless someone else knows otherwise!)

C4S actually prefers that you upload smaller clips (for the member asking about HD).

I have been deliberately making smaller sized versions of all our clips for the C4S studio, in order that they are in lines with C4S preferences. I believe they want 10 Mb per minute, ideally.

That's the same as the movies on Adultwork, where the charge is calculated by the Mb rather than the time. For Adultwork, I'm aim at 2 mins and save to email size in Window Movie Maker...it's ok for viewing small but the quality isn't great, although I know it's what C4S suggest.

Certainly there will be customers who prefer smaller size clips, not all customers will have a kick-ass PC or great broadband or broadband at all.

If it was me, I'd want only the highest resolution and enormous file sizes. But I am an artist so very visually oriented.

As far as uploading the clips goes, it's sure a lot faster and easier with the smaller sizes, so we are more than happy to comply.

I have a sub who pays me to 'film him' doing his tasks (which i obvs haven't been doing, i just sit pretending to mess with buttons/settings etc) who has now sent me copies of his i.d. so i can sell them and use them as i want. I was wondering if this kind of thing sells on c4s, seems like a lot of effort to me tbh

Yes it is blackmail fetish.

However, dont sell his ID or videos of him unless there is a set legally binding agreement of some kind. Most arent familiar with what counts as legally binding so there may be a lot of debating back and forth about it which may be lucrative but ensure you know what youre talking about. Most guys into blackmail are into the idea or the threat or edging very close to or the prospect of it. Putting adult vids of someone else online for your own profit + their identification online is begging for a lawsuit, given c4s stores have been sued before - best not to attempt. But also if you did there arent many other places to 'go' with you receiving payment for their blackmail. Nothing to culminate towards or tease / threaten about - you wouldve shot your load, so to speak.

People do versions of this all of the time on their blogs or on YouTube for humiliation stuff (I am not a lawyer, so idk if not 'selling' it makes any difference) but most blackmail posts/vids I see that are really intense blackmail almost all get taken down voluntarily or involuntarily. Personally, I cant count how many times Ive had or witnessed blackmail guys lose their shit over their fantasies even close to coming true. Most respond more excitedly over a slow build or the threat or getting as close as possible without actually.... emailing pics of them with a carrot up their ass (face visible, holding a piece of paper with the day's date or something) to everyone on their LinkedIn, FB, email address books, etc.

Selling POV blackmail vids or talking about things youve done to ppl or even showing it with faces blurred seems to be common clips Ive seen.

But at its most basic - it is illegal to sell videos of someone else for profit without 2257 compliance.
