Yeah you have to get model release forms in addition to his ID. 2257 is a pain in the ass but it's best to cover it.

After uploading everything (again) i was finally able to actually complete registration, but once i finished it there was a message that said my store/account would not be active until they received proof of my ID and that they would message my email address with account login/password once received and to call them if i hadnt heard from them in 48 hrs.But i uploaded my drivers license,in the correct file and its SUPER clear, even SM took it the first time without any issues.is this just the standard message that they give everyone once you complete registration or did i do something wrong? i swear one of these days im gonna stop running here asking 45 million fucking questions i promise!

This week is the seventh week of having my C4S website up. I posted a few smoking videos and one balloon popping video on YouTube and linked it to the store. I also made a blog and the C4S store links to it. The videos I've posted on YouTube are short, about 1-2 minutes (the full version is 10-20 minutes), YouTube also did something horrible with the HD quality. Maybe because it's getting near the holidays that I'm not getting many sales, but I have gotten over four-hundred visitors to the C4S store (a day!) and nearly three-hundred a day to the blog, since I had put those videos up on YouTube. Maybe linking to the blog was a bad idea and they're waiting for freebies? It's normal to have no sales from one-hundred visitors, but no sales from four-hundred visitors makes me think there's something wrong. :-[

Hi not to worry, It has happened to me as well. I dont use Youttube but I have a few websites that I offer streams of my clips. There are guys who save gif's from c4s and jerk off to them so I wouldn't stop advertising yourself.
I will say this, I dont think youtube is the place for it. I dont use it and I do fine with out. personal choice of course. I have a ten year old daughter who uses it and I would like to keep her pure as long as possible :)
Even high traffic with no sales is good. You are getting exposure.
Keep it up. I have had my two stores for years and love doing clips and making money on the side of webcamming.

Oh yeah we had many thousands of viewers of the 2-3 previews we put up on Dailymotion.
The vast majority will not buy clips, they want free porn. In our case this is especially true as it's softcore bikini/lingerie stuff, and that is even easier to find free online. But hey it's still free advertising and it can't hurt.
If you are concerned about the Youtube quality I wouldn't worry too much--hopefully they will now want to go buy higher quality on your studio. Maybe put a blurb/text at end, saying better quality available?

I must say final cut pro is awesome. I compressed a 50 minute video in to about 350 mb file. 720 p HD video! And with my shorter clips I am able to get them down to 20-50 mb for 720 p hd video. magic I tell you!
For HD do you recommend 720p or 1080p? I keep going back and forth.

I have a sub who pays me to 'film him' doing his tasks (which i obvs haven't been doing, i just sit pretending to mess with buttons/settings etc) who has now sent me copies of his i.d. so i can sell them and use them as i want. I was wondering if this kind of thing sells on c4s, seems like a lot of effort to me tbh
Minus all the legal stuff that was mentioned above ^ - ideally you wouldn't actually sell these vids of him to other people. You would post them and set them at whatever you think his info is worth to you, however deep you are in it with him, and have him pay to take it down. That's been my experience in what those guys want at least.

Go to the c4s main page and go to the categories drop down box. It will list fetishes you never knew existed!

I still shoot on Standard Def. I tried HD, but file sizes and rendering times were too big and too long. You make the call.
There is a girl on c4s named Ceara Lynch. She shoots in SD, and make the #1 Top Studio one year. Lots of her fans want her to go HD, but she won't budge from SD because it works for her. So you do what works for you, yet still looks good.

I read your post before you deleted it Aurelia. Industry standard is 1.00 a minute but you price your clips as you see fit but maybe this analogy from Hollywood will help.
The director of the new movie "flight" with Denzel Washington said on CNN interview that he lives by when he produces his movies.
He does it for the love of it, not the money. He said, If I make a 1.00 I'm happy.

The minimum payout is $50 but you have the option of raising it up to $500 if you like. If you don't happen to reach the minimum payout one month it will roll over into the next until you reach your minimum.
You get paid via check, bank wire or ACH.
Checks are free. There is a $20 fee for a bank wire and a $45 fee for an international wire.
Pay period is 1st - last day of the month.
They pay out once a month. Deposit's come on the 7th. I have always received my checks on or around that time, no problem.
Never had delays (except in the case of holidays, they were then sent out the very next day.)
Love the site. Support is fast and extremely kind and helpful. :)
I missed payout by a couple dollars but now in my sales tab, it only shows this month. Is there a place they show last month that should be rolled over? How do I know ill get paid?

Yup I do direct deposit...I'm in the US though...but you would need a bank account. c4s only offers wire transfer, check, or direct deposit...maybe you could do a direct deposit to like a greendot card? You could always call and ask them, I've heard they are easy to work with.
if they can do green dot cant they load on payoneer just as easy? i only have a prepaid money tree card and im still waiting for my payoneer card in the mail so i dont know much about thier service but id like to just get all my camming money put on that when it comes
yea i made a start to finish makeup vid (which was about 5 min) and i have sold not one of those. i have no problem putting my bare face out there at all. that's weird cuz all my other makeup type vids sell except for the start to finish one but oh well.
*a good to know* it also depends on if the fetishist connects with you. you could do a fetish that is a big seller but if the fetishist doesn't feel a connection toward you, it just won't sell. that is why it is so important to not only pick fetishes that would be fun for you to do but to also make it ur own and put ur own spin on it to make it more personable to you. it comes out more authentic and that is a draw.
Isnt camming and clips all about being an actress and faking stuff? If you cant pull off a good performace and make it believeible even if ur not into that fetish but what to do it because you think that that people that are into ur look will be into that fetish doesnt that mean u didnt act hard enuf in that clip? may this is a dumb question because ive never done clips but i want to so i just wanted to know and understand.

Sorry if this has been addressed...
I assume C4S sends out 1099s? If so, do they only send out if you have made over a certain amount? I think the IRS rule is like $600 or something, right? I have not been active on C4S and have made very little... probably less than $300 total for the year. Just wondering if I should expect a 1099?
2013 I plan to make A LOT more on C4S! :D

Do you think it's allowed to do a video with someone 'unconscious' and being moved around? I got a request for a clip with a 'villain' knocking me out (I plan on instead of knocking me out he'll just come in while I'm sleeping) and moving my arms and limbs to show how limp I am. I can't figure out if this would fall under the category of non-consensual or not. Thoughts, girls?

I have seen some clips on there that are like bound up sex type videos with disclaimers in the end of the description or quick at the end of video. I would guess that covers the studios liability since they are saying the bound person was a willing participant in the fine print. But I am also not an expert in such matters. Plus, in this industry, what one person gets away with, another may not.

So I'm confused about the model release form thing. Do I need to have copies on file where I am so that if there is any question about legality I can show proof of a model release form or do I need to send it to them? I asked if they had a model release form on file for myself (I couldn't remember if I'd sent one in) and they said they don't keep the release forms on file. What??
^The store owner is responsible for keeping all releases. We don't give c4s a model release, so no they wouldn't have one for you. You need to have releases for anyone appearing in your clips so that you are 2257 compliant. They need to be at your location, not sent to c4s. I believe the c4s agreement that you agree to when you open the store says you must have a release on file for all models.

So if I'm a store owner I just need to have one somewhere that I can show proof of if anything comes into question?

Why oh why does c4s have different names for essentially the same category? i.e. why is there a femdom and female domination category? Is there really a difference? I'm trying to correctly categorize my vids to make the most sales and reach the right people and this is throwing me off.

So... not sure if this thread is about C4s advice, or just for Tech issues with it?
In any case- Considering starting up on C4S, but I don't have anyone I can do clips with- it's just me- is there a market for that?
Like, some things that are unique to me (that I would advertise as) is that I squirt, have long pussy lips, and somewhat saggy tits, plus piercings and tattoos, but my face is very GND.
I don't have a specific fetish per se- not like femdom or foot fetish or anything- but do any of you ladies think that those qualities I listed above would be worth doing clips for/opening a studio on C4S??

I shoot most my clips solo, you don't need to have someone else in your videos and there is definitely a market for that. As far as C4S videos, fetish stuff seems to be what sells, I have sold very few regular/vanilla masturbation type videos. My theory is if the customers can find a ton of the type of clips you are making on any of the free porn engines the less likely they will buy it. The more obscure clips will make bank (in my experience). But its best to experiment and find what works for you. Search the many many categories C4S lists and start making clips. You will soon get an idea of what sells and maybe even start receiving custom requests from customers about what they want to see from you.

01-08-2013, 10:48 AM
My theory is people only buy my vanilla vids because they already love me and want everything lol. Most my vids are pov femdom but I will occasionally post a dancing/stripping/tease vid and they do alright just cuz I already have fans. I think it would be hard to sell just straight up masturbation vids unless you add something to make it kinky like talking about some sort of fetish while you play or REALLY play up the unique features (pussy lips and saggy tits) and just promote the hell out of your niche. Good luck.

Absolutely! You have plenty to work with there already! Masturbation is quite a busy category and all the unique things about you could and I'm sure would be a draw. There will be other categories too, check out the ones you think you could bring your own spin to.

Again...you can bring your spin and see what happens. I only have 2 smoking clips, I don't even really smoke, but they sell now and again...in one I'm just wearing nice lingerie and in the other I'm teasing guys who have given up smoking and gained weight. There are many things you could be doing while smoking.

Did anyone else see the new update on the C4S site? It sounds like we're all going to have to run multiple studios with different main categories because if you post a clip that doesn't fit in your main category they'll take that clip down. For example, if your studios category is Female Domination and all your clips are but then you post a toilet fetish clip or something that doesn't fit in the female domination category that'll possibly get deactivated, even if you list that under the proper category when you upload it.

I guess the way around that is find one of the general categories like "blondes". I can understand them wanting to make sure clips fit in the categories where they belong, but studios?
It does seem silly though, that means if a producer wants to try out a number of fetishes they have to create multiple studios, so they are going to have a huge number of studios that have only one or a handful of clips. Those who "have to create a Studio for one clip" aren't going to waste too much time making new banners and backgrounds and all the rest just so they can upload one clip for a category they just wanted to try out once. So then Clips 4 sale will end up being one ugly site with a massive number of studios with just a handful or maybe just one clip! I'm guessing this won't go down too well so they will bring in another bunch of demands on store owners like a minimun number of clips in every store. It's going the way of E-bay possibly unintentional but what will happen is that it will become too hard for individuals selling the odd thing, so it's will end up being a site with only a few big producers (with lots of stores under different names- just like on e-bay) churning out stuff .
The beginning of the end. Luckily there are plenty of other fetish sites and no doubt plenty more to come along and replace them down the track when they strangle themselves.

"New Search Features Coming Soon!
Customers are key to your success and we want to make sure they can find exactly what they want, as quickly as possible!
With that thought in mind, we have been developing a new search feature and updating our current searches to increase the speed of results.
ALL STUDIO OWNERS - Please be very careful when you select your main clip category because now if a clip is incorrectly categorized we will be checking and deactivating those clips as they are reported.
If you post your clips in more than one format (Ex. WMV and MOV) and you post your clips in a different category for each format, then the clips will be reviewed. Please do not category spam, meaning make sure your clip is relevant to the category you have chosen.
Clips that are incorrectly categorized will be deactivated and possibly removed.
Also, we have had many customer complaints recently about incorrect category updates. If you see a clip in a category that is not relevant to that category, please let us know and we will review the clip! Please help us, help you and your customers have the best experience on Clips4Sale.com!

They're referring to clip category *not* studio category.
It just means don't put a clip in the spanking category if it doesn't have any spanking in it... stuff like that. I guess they're getting complaints from fetishists who are finding that their favorite categories are being filled up with clips that don't belong there.

I think they're doing something (making some sort of progress?) with the keywords feature. I went to update my store today and found that most of my store's main keywords were missing and one was cut in half. When I tried to fix it/add more it wouldn't let me. I emailed support and got this answer:
"You can only have 26 characters for your keywords."
Well, that's a new development. I used to have a bunch of keywords for my store as of just a week ago.
