C4S support is continuing to be horribly, horribly bad for me.

I emailed them several days ago about a problem that I was having. (Interestingly enough the SAME problem I was having the last time I opened a new store.) They emailed me back right away to tell me it was fixed. I've emailed them three times since then to tell them it hasn't been fixed and haven't gotten any response.

I got so frustrated that I tried online support and I got someone who fixed it! O.O

It just drives me crazy that I have to keep chasing them around for days to get things fixed. This isn't the first time I've had this problem. (╥﹏╥)

Does anyone else have an issue with scheduled banners not showing? So when it says...'Your banner is now showing' and I click to go to that category it is in fact not there. This happens every time. I sent them an email with no response.

If you lower the bitrate on your file before saving (or converting to a different format) the file size will be smaller and you won't lose quality.

In windows live movie maker:
- Click the paper icon at the top (ish) left and select "Save Movie"
- If you scroll down (tiiiiny little arrow at the bottom of the list...) you'll see "create custom setting..."
- Name it whatever you want, mine is just named Video
- I didn't change the width or height (1280x720) But where it say bitrate I've changed mine to 3000
- Press save when done, after saving the file, close that window and go back to the drop down to "Save Movie"
- Under recent settings should be the custom setting you just made, click that, and save your clip

For converting (I use Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate)
- Make sure the 'Convert' tab is selected
- Load the file you want to convert to a different format
- Select the format you wish to convert to under the dropdown menu under output format
- Towards the bottom right, click the gear "Settings"
- Under the video section---Bit Rate dropdown, select 3000 kbps
- Press ok, then convert

The payout date is always the 7th, at times we do try to payout early if a weekend or holiday were to fall on a payout day. We began processing payouts on the 6th this month but checks typically go out on the 7th. As of now all payouts have been processed and can take up to 5 days to be received. ACH is an alternative for US producers, it is free and it is direct deposit into your bank account within 72 hours and then there is a wire for $20.00 per transaction which would process the same day.

Thank u so much Sara!
I think I heard checks go out on the 7th but many times I got my checks that day ( for some reason) so I was a bit concerned but according to what u said my check should be here Sat or Mon at the latest.
Thanks for getting back to me!

Hi Sara from C4S!!! Could you please answer my above question (quoted below). I never received an answer from support on this issue. I just want to be sure my banners are getting their showing.

Hi all!
So this cam girl took the leap and filmed for C4S. I'm surprised at how much I love it and got into it!!! I officially went live last night (plus filmed eight more clips today to release throughout the week--I guess?)
Two quick questions: I really don't know how the newbies number of clips sold in the beginning go--THIS IS NOT TO ASK HOW MUCH YOU EARN!! And just like camming, the niche makes all the difference in demand. I was excited I sold anything at all, so I want your feedback: Is 4 ten minute clips in the first 16 hours good? Or just newbie status? Secondly, should I let those 10 first clips ride for 6+ days before releasing more consistently as people start to find me, or update right away?
I really hope you can help, and I've read through the entire thread, but all of this industry just changes soooo fast! Kisses from Katie! Oh: I'm costumes, fantasy and role play.

@Katie- If you have clips made and ready to upload, I would set them to release one a day, more if you have tons of clips. The guys in that are fans of that category could be excited to have a new studio to choose from. A steady release schedule will keep your sales up and more content will keep them in your store longer. Utilize Future activation and connecting to Twitter.

Everyone uploads differently, the size/demand of their niches makes a big difference. In my more competitive fetishes I only go a day without uploading if I have to, but missing a day definitely shows in my earnings. As a new girl you have an advantage, guys are always looking for fresh, new content from a pretty girl. I would definitely suggest you take advantage of their interest and upload consistently. You will get sales because they want to check you out, I would definitely suggest that your clips are GOOD more than focusing on lots of updates. Do your research, see what's "trending" so to speak in the fetish, at least in my fetishes I've noticed the subcategories cycle through. They'll buy when you're new, this is when you can get them hooked on your videos forever.
I try to upload twice a day, focusing on my 3 main fetishes (I update my biggest every day) and doing a few of my smaller categories when I get time. Consistent updating is absolutely key to c4s, you will get lost in the thousands of other categories without it, but when you're new you can get away with focusing more on quality than quantity. Definitely use your new studio status to explore fetishes though, it's a great opportunity. The more you can work the more you will learn and earn. You're obviously doing something right if you're already making money, keep at it and good luck!

This comes with tremendous thanks!!! It makes perfect sense (I come from a vanilla marketing background) and it fascinates me to follow what's trending. I think I need to work on keywords more, get that SEO up there. I'll be at AVN and helping a tiny bit at the booth, plus I made biz cards, so I hope that helps.
Please, please stay in touch! And I noticed your profile lists "stressed"--hope that's just an old one, and that you are in a wonderful place right now!

@katie I will be at the AVNs as well. I am a vegas local. I will be signing 11-1 at the clips for sale booth. If you have any questions hit me up while I am there. I would be happy to help you out with your store.

If anyone else will be at the AVN's we should try and get together. I am looking to start shooting other models for my store if any are interested let me know. We could shoot some scenes for pay or work out a trade.

Hope to see some friendly faces! 8)

I would send a PM to Sara from C4S. Let her know your studio # and the issue. She has helped me before. Keep in mind, if you are in the US and getting paper checks, it may be running behind because of the crazy weather. In my town the postal service was closed down for 2 days. I have a vanilla business and my supplier sent out a message saying the deliveries this week were still backed up because of the weather.

We have been uploading everyday this week in a few categories and have not seen sales increase as expected. Do we need more formats of the videos such as wmv or a smaller file size? That's what we are going to test out next. We tried having previews and not with no difference in sales so far. Our views are around 100-300 per day with very few sales. We also understand outside marketing is needed in most cases to get a store going but I guess what we are asking is what kind of traffic do we need to generate to start seeing some sales? We really thought we would be doing better by now with our experience in web cams and video production.

Thank you to the forum and members for being so generous with information in this thread and others! :)

Not to come off as rude, but your content isn't marketable on c4s. You seem to have 3 pages (certainly not a lot by c4s standards, hardly enough to be noticed yet, and certainly not enough to give up) of mainly foot fetish and fairly vanilla stuff. Drop both. Foot fetish is huge, flooded with professional studios with expensive set ups that pay girls with gorgeous feet to model, it certainly isn't one I would have jumped into strait off the bat, it will be very hard to break into it with so much competition. Vanilla stuff is essentially worthless on c4s, unless you throw in a fetish twist I would just stop completely. That stuff can be sold on ELM and MGF easily, upload your vanilla stuff there. The possibilities with the amount of people you shoot with are just about limitless and you have an advantage to those of us who can only shoot solo stuff, take advantage of it and branch out, you can't be afraid to try new fetishes or you won't ever go anywhere on c4s. This isn't a site like any other, having previous experience in the industry may or may not help at all, it's all about script writing, unique ideas, and dedication.
You need to post keywords on the bottom of your clips, that will improve traffic. you don't necessarily need to get traffic from other places although it helps.

Anyone care to chime in on about number of views vs sales ratio or which style previews do the best? I have read various answers on here and gfy.com but would be curious about how things are in 2014.

Hi guys, the quality of your clips looks incredibly good...I would simply suggest that you branch out more to find the niche you fit into. Check out all the categories and think of what you can film in any that take your fancy, it will happen!

P.S. I just checked out your file sizes, the quality is amazing but sometimes guys aren't able to download files that size...maybe try a smaller size too, you can upload the same clip in different sizes/formats.

I totally disagree with Aurelia. C4S is a strange beast and just because something works for someone else dosn't mean its going to work great for you (or vica versa) About 40% of my sales are foot fetish related. Not everyone wants gorgeous foot models or $400 shoes or perfectly shot professional grade clips. Same goes for vanilla, some peoples vanilla content sells awesome, some people couldn't sell a booty shaking clip there to save their lives lol

My Advice:
Make gifs - Dont use the c4s's gif maker, make your own.
Use less saturated Categories - Aurelia is right, foot fetish is a massively flooded, but there some 40 foot related categories. (toe wiggling, wrinkled soles, toe sucking, foot smelling ect)
Keywords - Ad keywords to your descriptions. Either in a list at the end of your descriptions or mixed in your descriptions (hint, use those foot related categories as keywords lol)
Visibility - Look though the categories you plan on posting in. See how long clips stay on the newly updated list, see how long they stay in the featured carousel.

I did two foot fetish clips didn't sell them but a guy saw my lotion on my feet and requested a lotioning of a diff body part so not a total loss for me. I try a bunch of different ones sometimes they won't sell for months and sometimes they sell right away. I find having a variety of things gives guys ideas or what I will do to request videos or give me ideas.

At a recent forum I attended hosted by the founder of C4S, he reminded us to continue to see what types of clips are hitting (not the people/studios) and to use search engines to get metrics on what the trending sex term searches are. All common sense we all probably knew, but never hurts to be reminded! It certainly made my filming a ton easier last night with less effort stuff trending.

And about foot clips.
It's depends a lot on the feet. I have a lot of stores on c4s, so i can see some trends :)
For us, regular people, it's not so easy to see. Real foot fetish guys - they have a lot of different parameters for that.
Usually, before shooting foot fetish, i ask fetish guys if the foot is good or not (i can't see it, lol), and only if they approve - i will shoot.

@nitrofein: The general consensus is that vanilla doesn't sell well on c4s, and foot fetish hasn't worked for you so far so I'm sticking with my original advice to drop it and try something else. Although a saturated category isn't necessarily a bad idea (95% of my sales come from two very large categories), it CAN be difficult to be noticed and takes a lot more effort to succeed than a smaller category, constant (at least daily) updates are usually necessary. If it works out though, the profits are awesome.

about the previews I think it depends on the clip, I do mostly gifs with 7-15 images, but some like tongue fetish or something with dancing etc. I use gifs that play out more like movies (if that makes sense) through photoshop, but they take a lot more time and it can be a pain. I don't ever do still images, it just doesn't give guys a good enough preview.

I would definitely play around with your file size, having two versions of your clips can be great because then you can crosspost (two formats or sizes under two different categories) which will really increase your visibility. I always link back to my HD version in the description though, they're always more popular.

Sure! AVNs in Las Vegas. Probably even more valuable/helpful, was sitting down with some of us SW gals at the conference and asking them for advice, too!

A widget button suddenly appeared when I logged into the backend of my store today... anyone else notice this? Anyone have any idea how it's used? /:O

From what I understand its use is to generate HTML code to use on your website outside of Clips4Sale. The code it creates is like a banner link pointed to your C4S store.

Frustrated and Listening to Suggestions:

We are a husband wife team and recently started a clip store. Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated. Our store is http://clips4sale.com/72631

I would check out the handjob and blow job categories too :)

I didnt read this as being rude at all. We really appreciate your honesty and time. We will try out some new fetishes and look into ELM and MGF.

Anyone care to chime in on about number of views vs sales ratio or which style previews do the best? I have read various answers on here and gfy.com but would be curious about how things are in 2014.

For me at least, more hits = more sales. I use a mix of animated .gifs that are either still photos in sequence, or a silent video preview. When making your previews, think about what category you're making the clip for and edit accordingly. The first frame/thumbnail tends to be the one I spend the most time choosing, since it's what people see when they mouseover the video.

Is there any expectations we should have in terms of visitors to sales ratios. For example should 1000 visitors = $50 in sales? I know there is no exact formula but I guess is there a general idea of what kind of traffic it takes to get a certain amount of sales.

UPDATE:
So we have added mobile videos and have actually done well with the foot fetish category, I guess it just took some time for people to find us. Our sales are still low but it is at least measurable now :) We are doing around $10 a day with 300-400 visitors per day. We have filmed some new categories and clips so hopefully that will take us to the next level.

Thanks again for everyone being so helpful :)

Hits depends heavily on category, content, and what's trending. There are no expectations, or ratios you need to hit. Having a great day for sales could depend on one big spender, it isn't necessarily dependent on how many people see your store.
Hits to sales will also change quite a bit once you've found your niche, so someone who has had a fairly active studio for a year will have a very different looking hits to sales graph than a studio just starting out. There's no right or wrong, only experimentation when it comes to starting out on c4s, but I honestly think that your store will do very well, when you find your niche you will know.

If you want to know people's hits to sales ratios or more specific help you'd probably be best off PMing us all, there's only so much we give out publically :p

Not really. As others have said already hits doesn't mean sales. I actually made some calculations and it seems that for this month I've made $0.03-0.18 per hit. The gap is pretty big and it really varies a lot.

I should clarify - when I say that more hits mean more sales, I mean that in a very general sense. If my hits are staying at what they usually are for the month and I'm making my goals, and the hits suddenly go up, then usually there's a corresponding jump in sales as well. But there are also days where I get a ton of hits and little sales or vice versa.
