This topic doesn't receive much action on this website. I almost feel bad for so many recent posts. And I have had to send private messages in order to get answers.

I am wondering if that is because this type of work doesn't pay anything?

I certainly wouldn't say it doesn't pay anything, it totally depends on the person. I do quite well doing strictly clips, of course I'd do better if I was in any way creative or had a work ethic, but it's totally possible to bank. It just takes time to get going, no residual sales without consistent updates, and it takes awhile to have enough clips to hit those $100-$300 single orders.

I am wondering if that is because this type of work doesn't pay anything? I have been on Clips4Sale for about five days and I made about seven dollars selling one clip.

I have no idea how to boost my sales other than creating a FaceBook that by nature is designed to out me as a sex worker to my family or be shut down because it violates FaceBooks rules that your entire live has to be an open book or your account will be closed. And FaceBook is the most disgusting thing I have ever experienced on the Internet, I suppose it is okay if you have a humdrum life that you want everyone to know everything about but for sex work O_o ?

I am going to be cherishing my seven dollars that it took me two weeks of learning Adobe CC to make. Two weeks of struggling with video production.. and about three days of filming. And I hope I don't live to regret this as the three weeks I failed to be working on Streamate.

You can't expect to be a success overnight. You have to put up a new clip everyday and try a bunch of different type of clips. Eventually sales will increase and you'll have a better idea of what type of clips sell by monitoring your sales.

A new clip every day sounds like a lot. I am trying to do professional clips with animations, credits, opening animations, closing credit animations and sound tracks with original music. Maybe I am approaching this entirely wrong? A clip a day this way (my last clip was 30 minutes long) seems like a lot. And I need to be camming in the mean time or I am going to be without any money to pay my bills. A clip a day?

You really don't need to put that much production into this. I have a 5 second title with the name of the clip and my store's address and that's it. What matters most is the content. The guys buying these clips don't care about animations, closing credits, or original music. Look at what the best selling clips are and make your own version of those with a unique spin. Also any weird idea you have, just shoot it and put it up. It's always the weirdest stuff that usually sells the best.

A clip a day is actually very little. Animations, special effects, original music etc. all great but not at all necessary. Thirty minutes is also an incredibly long clip, not that many guys have that kind of cash to drop on a single clip. I aim for 6-7 minutes, sometimes 8 or 9 but they don't sell as well. I try to do 3 or 4 clips a day, 1 or 2 doesn't get me enough traffic but it also depends on the categories you do. Just make sure your lighting and quality is good and it will look plenty professional.

What about cutting up my 30 minute clip into smaller clips? Even though they can get the big one if they want?

Never a bad idea, it will be an additional update and more marketable to guys who don't have the money/don't have the attention span or self control to last a half hour lol

What about cutting up my 30 minute clip into smaller clips? Even though they can get the big one if they want?

I do this all the time. Link them together in the description too. There is also the option of multiple formats that was discussed a few pages back. A clip a day may seem daunting, but it really isn't that hard. I think its more about sticking to a schedule if you don't do daily uploads. Customers that like you will learn your schedule.

I know there are stores that do well with fancy effects and stuff, but their videos aren't that long. They have a long one thrown in there once in a while, but they seemed to be between 6 and 11 minutes (I looked at a few of the top studios in the Giantess SFX category)

Keep in mind, in the beginning, you may want to have a couple of fetishes in your store. In most cases, the customers pick your fetish for you.

I am making my first small clip from a larger clip now, it is from the beginning of the larger clip and is mostly me in a costume but I do spend a small amount of time pulling my G-String Aside and inserting a couple of things and then I undress and that is pretty much it. Is that enough? I mean will a customer be satisfied with that? Or do they need to see me humping a coke bottle for the whole 6 minutes?

AureliaC

Worst case it doesn't sell, whats the harm in putting it up? Spend some time on c4s looking at categories you're interested in, just get a feel for whats trending right now and go from there. No need to bust out the coke bottles just yet, ow.

This is certainly not the case.
I also put one new clip a day. It's not that much if you shoot 5-10 min clips without special effects.
Anyway I think it usually takes time for the things to get going at the beginning. If you're consistent things get better with time.
And maybe it's a good idea to try making make simpler and shorter clips to see if they'll sell better. And whatever sells best do more of it. But I've heard from girls that sometimes their most crappy video (in their opinion) sells best. So you never know.
And also put your email, so customers can contact you and you can make custom clips. That way you'll understand what people want and like.

Where do I add my Twitter on Clips4Sale for automatically tweeting my new clip (with future activation option). Do I have to add my Twitter information or is this simply something C4S does using their own Twitter account?

Thank you so much for your help! I've always used Amazon gift cards right away so they couldn't cancel, I just get anxious about them not really being ok with adult stuff. And with SM being so bad for me right now having the money would be better than using it to buy something that I don't need right away.

I emailed Payoneer about private loads, but haven't gotten a response yet, it'd be nice if I could do that. I'm on CMD, I don't know why I didn't think of using that to receive payment, so thank you!

Awww of course! Yeah, I usually don't prefer Amazon either unless there's a few things I need to buy on there. But what I do is use most of the Amazon money to buy things I need for my house, gifts, or toiletries and food (bulk) to stock in advance. It's really nice when I don't have to worry about running out of cookies, lotion, or toilet paper for three months lol. Plus they have like everything else on there.

When I signed up with Clips4Sale I gave them my personal email, but when I realized that customers would be sending me emails to that email I changed it to one I created just for my store. But I was too late :( . Is there anyway to change my email so that customer requests stop going to my personal email? Or is it anonymous in any way if I reply?

I do this. I find that the smaller clips usually sell better, but it's never a bad idea to flood your store w lots of content. I have also seen many people post both Mac and PC versions of 1 video. The more tricks you can implement, in order to update every day, the more you will sell.

Last month, I tried just shooting silly things, like me flexing my toes or shaking my butt..just so I could update every day, and I had the best month of the entire 4 years my store has existed!! It really does help!

Click on "edit profile" and change it there, otherwise they will see when they buy clips. Many of us do this, it would help if they gave a warning on that page.

I have a question...when checking my 'stats' page yesterday I noticed a lot of hits linking back to a forum. This means someone has probably posted a video of mine there, is that correct? I tried to register with the forum twice to try and find out but the activation email never came through, so I can't view many of the pages there.

Big no no to direct customers off streamate or give them outside contact info
The best thing you can do is make your clips4sale name and twitter name the exact same as your streamate name as long as the name isnt extremely common when a guy googles "your came name" + videos or twitter or whatever the related pages will come up
I have had success with this, some regulars mentioned they found my videos on c4s

Sounds about right O_o ... I don't know anything so take this with a grain of salt but I think that the best thing you can do is post tons of clips on Clips4Sale and then if someone posts one of your clips somewhere then perhaps it (if you can't get it taken down) will become free advertising. So this reinforces (in my mind) the idea that making short clips (around six minutes) is probably the best way to succeed and to just make as many as you can.

^Yes good point. I would like to check in any case, out of interest. I was getting paranoid because I cant register with the forum even after contacting their admin so thought they might be trying to avoid me.

I did have someone contact me about a custom in that genre the same day so I guess there can be an up-side to it.

It looked as though things were picking up for me, I sold 11 clips and then traffic began dying and now traffic is lower than it has ever been and no sales. Only 55 hits yesterday and fewer today. No sales in 5 days. How should I feel about this? I have been automatically uploading a clip every day. Do I need to upload clips manually instead of placing them in cue in order to use the Tweet feature? Help, I am so disgusted with myself for putting so much effort (a full month) into something that has paid less than my worst camming night. I can't survive on $67 a month. O_O Am I going about this all wrong? I have uploaded 43 clips in one month.

^Are you trying different categories? Whenever I've started to see a dip in sales I try branching out into something else and usually see them pick up again from the exposure in new categories.

I'm no expert as I'm new to C4S too but all I can say is all the advice given in this and the other C4S thread are spot on...direct correlation between number and consistency of updates and sales being one of them. On days where I update once things def get quieter, I'm trying to stick to a minimum of two updates a day, even if that is the same clip in different formats.

It is demoralising when there are quiet days, I get you...I keep having to remind myself the figure I'm looking at has to be converted into GBP so I don't get too excited when I look at my sales...downer

They've posted a link to your clipstore there, that's why you see the hits. You have to get in there in order to see if they're sharing your clips also.

Don't take it personally, it's tax month and it's just slow. I've made less than half what I usually make so I freaked and checked all my big fetishes, top 5 in 3 of my big selling categories and top 10 in two others, same as always. Just means the whole category is slow, not that you're doing anything wrong.

This ever happen to anyone else? I deleted a bunch of old clips (over 40) about 6 or 8 weeks ago (they were already deactivated months before this), and today I see under the gizmo uploader under "clips" they are all listed again! This is so weird, why would clips4sale bring them back, if you're not allowed to delete old content then they wouldn't give us an option to. I'm scratching my head at this one ladies. You can email support and ask to be able to download all your videos to backup etc, once you are in the menu to download them, you can delete them forever from there. Thats the only way I know for them to actually be completely deleted

To start your store you need 10 different clips. And on the admin page it says "Please be sure to update your clip store with new clips at least once per every 30 days!"
I have no idea if it's worth it. If I was doing that I'm sure I'll be making no money. But for other girls it might work.

^^ There is no fee for the $50 or $100 if you use DD or check, there is a fee if you use wire transfer but the fee is from the bank from my understanding. I don't write the type of file in the description unless I have the same video uploaded in a different file type, personally I put it in the title of the video but i've seen people just put in the description.

Generally no, it's held in confidentiality. It's only relevant if you are selected for a compliance inspection.

And hi ladies, I'm new on these forums. I noticed some of you mentioned that you have trouble with video or could use visual improvements for your c4s store.

I've been paid by some of the larger C4S studios to do advanced scenework (digital airbrush, scene recolor and relight, smoke, fx, etc). 5+ years visual FX experience in Hollywood. If you have video questions on how to make things look nice for c4s I know a few dirty tricks. If you need scenework, I will trade service for content. I already have models that I have partnered with for content, and I'm building up a new c4s fetish site right now. I could always use more friends :).

You know, it is creep, didn't really think about that before. I posted it in hopes it'll get more girls to realize how great fetish guys are at buying loads of clips. I only have three that will buy every single clip, but others who buy every clip in certain categories. Hello everyone…I searched many pages of this thread to see if I could find the answer but did not come across anything. I was approved for my C4S studio last week and finally finished and uploaded my ten unique clips. I am so not tech savvy so am kinda proud of how it looks lol. The banner still says I am not approved for CC processing. I have not uploaded any images or 5 unique videos though…is that the issue maybe, I'm assuming? I just keep hearing how all you need to start are the ten clips so I am a tad confused. Unless I should just wait another day to see if something happens.
Thanks a lot for reading =)
