Oh really? I know there's a link but I never saw a buy it now button for a specific clip. Gonna go look. Thanks =)

Update: Couldn't find that option =/
Is c4s acting up for one? Every time I try to log in it slows down and doesn't load.
On "List clips" under every clip is
Name
File
ID:
Direct Link HTML Code
Buy Now Button HTML Code

The last one creates a button with a link to the clip.

hey ladies, I just wanted to say thanks so much for contributing to this thread. It has been a lifesaver for me. Normally I'm on SM but since being pregnant I haven't been on in 3 months. I'm now in my last trimester and I want film as many clips as possible because I know I won't be able to cam for a while. I have spent the last 2 days reading this entire thread. I'm in the process of trying to get my 10 clips but with being 7mo's feeling sexy isn't exactly easy. After viewing some of my clips I noticed I have a lot of awkward silences. Is this normal? I'm not the best actress but how can I amp things up a bit so I don't come off as boring?

Hi! From one new mom to another, congrats on your pregnancy! FYI the pregnant category is a huge seller, take advantage and shoot as many clips with that belly as you can. Don't worry about silences. If you start to run out of things to say, eyefuck the camera, make sexy noises, and run your hands over your body. It'll seem like its all part of the show.

I agree Marley. That is ridiculous and should not be allowed. I think a lot of companies play favorites and let certain ppl go through loop holes. Sad by true.

BIG UPDATE!

I just got off the phone with Neil and we had an excellent conversation about the finer details of this whole thing. There were some crossed lines, misunderstandings, and some things just not being made clear enough which led to this getting out of control. Someone took a personal comment I wrote about why this fish thing bothers me so much and turned it around as propaganda against C4S. Which I didn't know about and am TOTALLY not okay with.

We talked for like an hour or so on the phone in a professional civil manner and ironed out what the root of the issue really is about. He's going to investigate the store in question, we mutually apologized to each other about how things were handled, and I got my store back!

The people I talked to in support didn't work out as well with this but my experience talking with Neil was excellent and positive. We just discussed, listened, apologized, and came to an agreement.

All in all, I'm happy again!

My studio has finally been approved. I have started working on making my 10 clips. I log into C4S and I was so confused by the set up but I am use to confusion when it comes to me learning how to do something new online. I am definitely not tech savvy. I will just finish making my clips then go from there. Baby steps are the key for me. I am sooo excited.

It was pretty straight-forward before but lately they've been changing things up. I'm considering it growing pains- it's kinda wonky now but it will hopefully get more streamlined.

What does the member area do for the customers? I'm asking because the clip upload page has an option for pushing vids to the members area, and I'd like to better understand what that site does in order to decide if I want my clips to show on there.

I can relate =) When I first opened my clip store a couple months ago I was a bit nervous since I too am not tech savvy. Since then I have learned a lot and taught myself cool stuff I didn't know how to do before.
Good luck with your store…

I have noticed that most top studios upload, delete and re-upload small iphone mobile clips over and over to be seen on the main page and categories. I heard they are monitoring that issue now. Anyone have ideas on how to update frequently if they only shoot a few clips per month? How often can you delete and re-upload a clip without being suspended? thanks

I have a question…today I shot and uploaded a custom clip onto clips4sale. The customer emailed me saying thank you very much and he will purchase it by tonight because he is working. During that time, another potential customer sent me an email saying he saw the new clip I uploaded today and is very interested in buying it. Then he proceeded to ask me if that is the correct price or if I made a mistake in pricing the clip(since obviously it is priced much higher since it's custom). Mind you under the clip description it say **CUSTOM MADE EXPERIENCE** with the details of what was asked of me to do.
So what should I do? Am I going about this the right way..I dunno it kinda seems messed up that I would price this custom so high for the original buyer then lower it so that others can buy it at a much much cheaper price…or is this the norm of what people usually do?

Thanks in advance for any advice

Natalie

I do things differently. I shoot customs after the guy pays for it, I send him a link outside of C4S. Then the clip goes in my store at a normal price. If he wants an exclusive custom that doesn't go in my store, it's more expensive. I do it this way because I've been shooting customs for much longer than I've had my C4S store and customs are a lot of work. I put a lot of effort in to them and have spent good money on equipment so to shoot a custom on spec and just keep my fingers crossed that the dude actually buys it wouldn't work for me. I have heard too many stories about girls shooting custom ideas and they are never purchased, some guys get off on doing that to us. Plenty of men just go to c4s and jerk off to the GIFs!

Lacy Luck
06-19-2014, 10:25 PM
I do the same as BustyVixen. Customer pays for the custom first, before you bother shooting. You send him a link to download it off mediafire or elsewhere. Then you upload the clip to c4s at a normal price. The other guys get to pay less for the clip because its not their fantasy. The custom guy had you act out his specific, personal fantasy and thats what he paid a premium for. If a customer does not want his clip shared on the sites, charge extra for exclusivity.

Thanks so much for your replies and advice =) I shot it yesterday, uploaded it and he bought it. I know it is a risk I take. I have bee researching other payment methods so the customer can pay me outside the site but I get mixed answers on what the best way is. Which is the best way if you don't mind sharing that info? Not tech savvy either so this has been quite the learning experience lol although I am surely but slowly learning. I am going to learn about the media fire thingy that was mentioned.

Thanks a lot =)

The custom thing is hard, because when a customer finds you on C4S, its better for C4S to get their cut of your sale. However, they state that tributes are simply tips and not supposed to be used as pre-payment for clips, so then, what are you supposed to do? Risk your time and energy creating a clip that may not sell, or go offsite to be paid.

You can create a dummy clip, price it at your desired deposit for the custom, or the whole price minus the dollar per minute, and make sure he buys it first. Then, when you upload the custom price it at the dollar per minute for him to buy. Frankly, its confusing and I wish they would rework the rules for that.

Ashley_3
06-20-2014, 11:21 PM
I did that thing with the dummy clip once and two people bought it in a couple of hours. I've spoke with only one of them beforehand. But somehow the other guy decided to buy it even though I said it's not a clip and not to buy it. I ended up making a custom clip for him also. But I certainly didn't enjoy the situation as it was really hard to agree on content for the price he paid. So I don't think I'll ever again use the dummy clip.

Hmmm I think I will just stick with selling the custom thru C4S. The dummy clip idea sounds like a good option.

No, but that doesn't sound good. What kind of clip was it?

By dummy clip, I meant an actual clip that is a preview of something simple. I am not advocating putting a blank clip up b/c someone might buy it, as mentioned above. Now, if a guy is going to buy a clip that is three minutes long for $100, that seems like his problem not yours as long as you have a decent description. Tag it with 'rip-off' as one of the secondary tags. i'd like to hear from c4S about what we are supposed to do as far as customs in this situation.

Okay there is:
Breast Bouncing
Boob Bouncing
Bouncing Boobs

Is there a difference i'm missing? I'm not sure where to put the video?? Why are there so many categories that are the same, this isn't the only one. As there is ass shaking AND booty shaking - again, the difference? If there is a difference that I'm missing, I would love to know what it is. -_-

I am new to this so correct me if I am wrong but here is my thought. They are all the same thing but a lot of people post the same clip in different formats so this would allow you to post your boob bouncing clip in 3 different formats(wmv, MP4, etc) in 3 categories that are the same but worded differently for extra exposure in a category that your clip is most focused on. Before I saw these categories, I was constantly trying to come up with 2 completely different categories that all my clips could go into such as pimple popping and topless versus pimple popping and pimple busting when I am pooping pimples topless. I am not sure whether similar categories or completely different categories are best for more exposure when posting your clip in different formats.

TransdimensionalPrincess
06-22-2014, 12:50 PM
I just updated in one category, and on the front page it doesn't have the update for the newest category, it has the update from a clip I uploaded the other day.
*smh*

@Abbytoi - that makes sense now, but at the same time, I bet its just confusing for everyone. I rarely upload in other formats, because my mp4s never sell.

I like many of the girls, have guys pay for their customs before I shoot & email them a download link. But in this situation, I would email guy #2 telling him this was a custom clip and it has been priced for the gentlemen how requested it. But that the price will be changed to normal pricing in a couple days & ask if he would like you to send him an email once it does.

Another option that I have heard girls do is to split the custom fee. So if your charge $50 for a 10min clip, $40 of it gets paid up front (to film the clip) and then they are instructed to buy the clip at a normal price $10.99 once you list it you store.

As for pricing, Most of us sell customs at normal rates after the commissioned rate is paid. Think of it like when someone commissions a painting, The original piece of artwork is more expensive than the prints/posters you can buy of that same piece of artwork, unless the person commissioning it doesn't want others to see it & then you need to price accordingly.

C4S has features in place that stop you from just deleting and re-uploading clips. ie: the site will recognize the clip as a duplicate and not show it as a 'new' clip on the clip update pages. Any clip you see posted multiple times has to be a new version/size ect and no just changing the file name will not 'trick' the system.

Ladies I am having a hard time deciding which HD Camcorder to get as I know nothing about videoing at all :( I currently film clips on my Logitech 9000 and edit with Movie maker. I just upgraded and now have a 2013 Mac Air which I'll be working on, pro lighting, and premier pro to edit with. I've seen the GoPro Hero 3+ recommended Sony handycam and Canon Legria. I don't really want to have to buy anything again too soon, but want it to be accessible for a total beginner like me, and of course compatible with Mac and easy to edit with Premier. Does anyone have any recommendations?

So has anyone started a members only site through c4s? I was looking at theirs and wanted to know if it's worth the time. I don't like the idea of having masturbation clips downloadable, but it looks like it's in a non-downloadable state on the membership page... is this true? Is it worth the effort of setting up? I currently only do softcore and fetish clips, but i'd be interested in hardcore if this is an option. Anyone have any insight?

I have a members area and I update it regularly with the same vids that go into my clip site. Even so, it gets little traffic and only a handful of members a year. This is just my experience, and I don't promote the member site on my social media at all. To focus just on the members site doesn't seem worth it unless you have a legion of fans and can drive your own traffic to it. And if this were the case, you'd be better off setting up a pay site on your own where you don't have to split earnings.

Thinking of opening up my own C4S store...I like the creativity of the idea etc and I love having the autonomy of making my own stuff.

Questions:

Do they pay to Payoneer?
Also, is the success of your store based largely on how many clients you have on other cam sites or do other people also come through?
If you cam on SM, how do you ladies work around their rules with regards to no promotions etc?

First off, I'm no pro on c4s so if I screw something up, someone correct me please. No, they don't have payoneer. they have check, wire, and ACH (which is like direct deposit unless i'm mistaken).
My success on C4S has been almost exclusively new fans from the site, but I do almost exclusively vanilla shows on cam which may have something to do with it. I do bring quite a bit of traffic in from ELM because I update my c4s site clips a day before I put it on elm. Plus, they like that they can find things by category on c4s. I make more $ on ELM though from customs so take that into account.
As far as promo goes, I use almost exclusively twitter. I have a separate twitter account for my clips, which i do retweet on my main camming twitter page. I don't even mention my c4s account during cam shows but I tell them to follow me on twitter which in turn shows them all of my retweets from my clip account, which drives some traffic my way. I also buy tweets from large accounts to dive traffic my way, which helps.

C4s has tons of traffic, I have never had to drive my own traffic to the site to make $$.

ATTENTION:

When you activate a video make sure on the front page it has the right category and picture. Last night I updated under masturbation, and that update went through correctly, but now I just updated my store with a foot fetish clip and on the front page it is listing as I updated under masturbation and showing the masturbation clip from earlier. This is not the first time, they fixed this issue earlier this month for me by fixing my account, but now the issue is back so I don't think it is just happening to my account. So do make sure, and if you see its not updating on c4s's front page correctly do message them so they can get this coding issue fixed.

Also, the clip is not showing up under the category until they fix it, so do make sure it shows up under the category too.

There were problems with the latest clip photo showing in every category but that got resolved...now though I have a clip in one category showing the picture for my earlier clip in that category. Anyone with more than one C4S store under Daily Pay, how did you go about opening additional stores? Or did you have several stores already before switching to DP?

I opened a support ticket with DP eons ago but I guess they didn't quite understand what I'm asking them so that's unanswered for 2 weeks now.

Now I'm thinking about simply opening a new store from scratch in my name (not under DP) as being under DP I suspect that technically I don't even count as a separate store owner atm but rather a subject in DP's studio that C4S set up for them.

Anyone have any experience with this?
