I've uploaded couples clips before, but only the more fetishy ones tend to do well for me. If you check the category on clips4sale you want to upload the video into, you can probably find an idea of what to charge. If you're talking videos4sale, I have no expertise, sadly :P

Good question. One of my videos is of me giving a guy friend a bj in a hotel shower, but I didn't upload it because I wasn't sure I could feature a second person in a video.

Also, I know it's been said that fetish vids sell more than the usual solo w/toy vids, but ironically I got my first sale last night, and it happened to be a video of me using my glass toy. :) I was pretty excited.

I never actually considered that it would be a problem and I have uploaded couples' videos. Never been told to take them down.

I was really hoping to get more responses to that question I posted the other day about which WLMM setting to use (when saving vids), so I guess for now I'm gonna stick with using WLMM's 'For e-mail' setting. When I use the next option above that, the file saves bigger and takes too damn long to upload to AW, MediaFire, etc. Plus, like PrincessJenny said, I could lose out on sales if the file sizes are too big and it's taking guys too long to open them.

I emailed c4s about the couple thing, as I wasn't sure if they'd need my partner's ID on file or something. Their response was that I should keep a copy of his ID, and a signed waiver, just in case, but that c4s didn't require me to send them any documentation.

congrats on your first sale, Fox:)

Awesome; thanks for posting this. My boy and I wanted to do some vids together and we weren't sure if we needed to upload his ID or not.

As I've begun filming clips, I find I am incredibly confused about how much talking I ought to be doing. It seems weird to be quiet, but at the same time I'm not always sure what to say. Take bubblegum chewing clips for example - do you guys talk about anything in those?? I have no idea what I should be saying :(

Sorry if this sounds like I need to much hand holding, feel free not to respond but I'd really appreciate any advice.

Reminder to make sure you fill out a release form for EVERY video you make with a second person, even if it is just a dick, hand, etc. Date it with the name of the video/file and then file it away somewhere. It saves your ass if someday you have a falling out with the other person(s) and they suddenly want to sue you, trash your name, etc for all of the 'dirty videos' you have for sale on the internet. Crazy, but It happens.

Is something up with the c4s website? I haven't sold a clip in like 48 hours lol which is really rare. And since I haven't sold a clip in that long I would expect to see my store and clip status drop way down the list but nope they are staying the exact same place! In fact, everything seems to have stayed the same on the list the past 2 days. I'm still #4 in my category. And I've had the most # of hits today for the entire month! Very strange. I've heard that c4s shaves sales to make more money. I wonder if that's whats going on here

The site was so slowww to load yesterday (Jan 26) exactly as I was making a clipstore overhaul, I wasn't expecting any sales tbh, I imagined it would be such a pain in the ass to navigate the site that custies would just leave... but couple hours later I actually sold 2 long videos (I actually only had 3 videos up b/c I set all the other ones to invisible)

OK, I just opened it in another tab and it took 2 timeouts to finally load, I hope it's just me...

Just want to let you ladies know something...
You should do a google search for your videos every once in a while to see if they are being shared on the internet. If you do come across someone posting your clips without your authorization try to get their email address or c4s customer info and clips4sale will block them from their website!! Even if you find just the city they live that can help you find out more information about the customer sharing your clips.
Also, write a professional "DMCA takedown" letter to the admin where your clips are being shared and they will be removed within a few hours.

Last time I noticed a drop like that is was because some jackass had posted my vids on a forum. So maybe google yourself and see if you find anything.

Before I email then I was wondering if anyone knew for sure.

The number you get shown for daily hits, is that unique visitors? Or does the same customer get counted every time they visit my store? x

Wow, has anyone noticed how detailed C4S is about your buyers' info when they make a purchase? LOL. I just sold a third clip (called "Go fuck yourself, Shelly!"), and it's telling me the buyer's from Germany and etc.

I read the C4S tweets about having your store featured on their FB page. As much as I'd like to do it, I won't because my FB account is for my "real life" stuff...not for camming/adult job stuff.

Is that what you need to do to get them to tweet your clips?

Reading over the last few pages of this thread have gotten me all psyched about opening a C4S account (I started the sign up ages ago and then got distracted) again ... that paired with the excitement of getting those "you just sold" emails from a different video seller.

Questions:
1) Is it against the terms to sell C4S clips on other sites?
2) Is it best to offer videos in multiple size options? (ie: a fast DL & high quality DL option)

Thanks [email protected]

I don't know if it's the same process for them to tweet your clips (they keep talking about FB though). I'd love for them to tweet about my clips...I just don't want to be mentioned on FB.

@clips4sale them when you tweet/mention your store and they will retweet you. To be mentioned on FB you have to ask, I think.

AFAIK, you can sell your clip4sale videos on other sites, since I know we're allowed to watermark them (I watermark with my cammodels link quite often). For quality options, I almost always offer at least 720p or 1080p, and do fine. I wouldn't go any lower than 480p, though. But that's just me.

2) Is it best to offer videos in multiple size options? (ie: a fast DL & high quality DL option)

I have been wondering about this too. And I wonder if others have noticed any benefit from offering 2 versions.

I usually record my videos in the absolute highest settings possible 1980x1080 HD and then I tried rendering smaller versions like 720 or something (I don't remember exactly) and uploading them on different days in hopes that it would "bump up my store." Neither did it bump up my store nor did a sell any of those "smaller versions."

I'm really not a power seller and I constantly forget about my store but out of the maybe ~30 clips I have sold through C4S I haven't sold any of the "dial-up versions" (maybe it's bad marketing calling them that and cust felt emasculated by the fact that I'm rubbing in his face that his internet connection is slow and instead chose the gigantic HD version even if it took 6 hours to download, lol, dunno. maybe need to be more sensitive when naming the "lesser versions" y'know it's almost like telling him that his cock is on the smaller side) haha OK but seriously I have sold none of the smaller versions.

Then again there was this guy who was complaining that the HD version is "kinda choppy" (although he didn't seem to object that much) I only later realized that he's on an iPad.

For me, I will not make smaller versions of my videos as I think it's a complete waste of time maybe only later if I get more serious which would also mean statistically significant iPad/iPhone traffic.

Thanks Kayden

Right now I try to save my files in the largest size possible for sites like ELM that allow up to a Gig for attachments but then normally compress the living crap out of a version so i can add it to MGF ect (ie:places with retardedly low file caps)

I think your right about marketing to the "dial up crowd" making guys feel emasculated. Its all in the naming, maybe the "wifi sized? or optimized for phones/ipad traffic mhh
10min clips seems to end up being an hour to render no matter what size I save it at

TheBrownFox
02-02-2012, 03:23 PM
Like PrincessJenny told me in another thread, if video files are taking guys forever to download, they're not gonna like that. I've been using Windows Live Movie Maker's 'Burn to Dvd' option when saving videos, which is 720x480 pixels. I think this is a good video size, and with this setting it doesn't take ridiculously long to upload to MediaFire, AW, and C4S. If I go any higher than that, it takes longer to upload to MediaFire, AW, and C4S, and I know it takes guys longer to download as well. I do like the idea of having two versions of each video though, and with WLMM it doesn't take long to save a second copy.

A few of my videos have music in them, and because of AW being so strict about music in your videos, I went and made a NO MUSIC version of each of them. That way I can still upload them to AW and get paid for them.

Rina

Maybe call the smaller version the mobile version. In case they want to watch on their phones. That might make them feel better.

This is a really dumb question but do you select "business" or "individual" when you sign up? I don't really understand... In a way, it seems like you are your own business that's why it doesn't make sense to me.

Select Individual. A business would be someone who had a studio, and would be shooting different models.

I finally got my store up and running...took SO LONG because I was having issue upon issue with editing software! Now it is all figured out, and I'm loving it!

I have a question though - Hypnosis - yay or nay?

It doesn't appear to be in the rules for the site as a "don't do this" but it was mentioned earlier in the thread that you cannot, and I had heard that elsewhere as well. I would love to do some hypnosis clips, and I know that there is a real fan base out there for them, but I don't want to get in any trouble.

Is hypnosis allowed? Would it be a good idea to maybe put a disclaimer at the beginning of the video (similar to those often found at the start of some porn where forced sex or unwilling participation is shown) that says something along the lines of "this clip is intended for adult entertainment purposes only, and by watching it you agree that you are a consenting adult who is not being forced to do anything against their will. This is hypnotic language and is not intended to actually hypnotise anyone or go against their will."?
