Ended 7 short of 600. Not bad. Some asswipe charged back 7 otherwise i would hit an even 600. I am so unmotivated but Sinna keeps me going. I wrote down last night on a calendar book what I am filming for the next 25 days! It took well thought out planned categories and took me well over 3 hours. Lots of research. This is going to be a fun month to stay busy.

Guys what really has motivated me is getting a calendar planner. Ones that you can write detailed paragraphs for each day. Plan in advance what you are going to (maybe) film. This really puts things into perspective on how much you can really accomplish! Sounds silly but its helped me get really organized for next month.

February was my best month yet. I know a lot of people complained about this month and it did start slow for me but by the end I was very happy.
Way to boast. :-P Naw.. I am teasing. Congrats though :). I do notice a trend that some stores did exceptionally well this month.

This is what I did. I bought a daily calender. I now have the videos that are uploading for that day (for reference later), the videos that I filmed that day, and any other changes that I might have made, like editing audio but not the video to go with it. This way I can see what I am doing on what days. It also helps because I can make lists of videos that I would like to film on certain days and scratch them off as I go.
Actually...now that I think about it I am going to add that day's sales as well so I can compare days of the week and parts of the month... shit, I wish I had done that last month.

Some people like paper stuff, but for clips I love an editorial calendar. I downloaded mine for free at vertex42.com. Some you can colour code and it is SO fun and motivating. I make it red for days that are in idea form, yellow for when it is filmed, and green for when it is edited and ready to go!

Yes! I do just this in my editorial calendar. I love it. Best thing I did in 2015, seriously. I have a colour bar under the titles that I have planned and add my sales as they come in. I make them red when they are under low goal, yellow when they hit low goal and green when they hit high goal. It helps me see patterns and it is very motivating.

After I wrote my first response I decided to go though January and February for 3 of my top sites to try to figure out what day of the week and what week out of the month seems to see the most sales. It was a little sad though, there were lots of 0 sales days on at least 1 of my sites.
I am trying to figure out what day is best for each site, though there's no specific day yet unless I add up the sales for each day....I am terrible at math and correlation, but I am sure I can figure something out :P
I do think it will help so I can anticipate what months will be my lowest earning and account for that next year.

What do You think? Which one is better?
1. Pay site with regular (rotation/expiration) updates, signup = 35$
Updated every month with 20 new clips and 2000 new pics.
2. C4S store with regular updates?
Updated every week (daily) with 15-25 new clips and 1-2 new galleries?

Why do you keep asking for advice when you ignore the suggestions you are given? You don't even contribute to this thread!
You're clearly doing something wrong to have as many views as you get and make no sales. Your 'niche' must be pretty small if no one is buying your videos and you seem to invest WAY too much time continuing to make these videos that never sell.
Why do you bother to update that often? 20 new clips a month is fine, it's more than fine on a pay site but 2,000 photos? People will just steal them and upload them everywhere. Any site where you sell bulk videos will result in low sales. No one in their right mind would sign up for more than one month if you offer so much content monthly. They download all of the videos, then pirate them or share them and never have a recurring membership.
15-25 clips a week is a LOT. More videos do not necessarily mean more sales. It might result in more traffic, but you will not have regulars buying these videos every time a new one comes out. Who could afford that? It's overkill.

I agree on the overkill theory, which I think I have also written about somewhere back in this thread.
I wanted to announce that I think I have found a reasonable solution for keeping adult-income up and running: I have invested substantially into plugins and have just changed the two articles that you can buy to "name your price". It looks totally confusing, because the plugin will show the "suggested price", so people thought prices went up. But they went down. The suggested price (I changed it to "value" to try and make it more clear) is the price I would love to get.
The minimum price is the price below which I would cry :O So you can't go below that. Other than that, you name the price!
A second option that I am working on, but didn't dare to publish yet (it's just a few hours of work away) is a monthly subscription. Not sure on the price yet, but I thought $15 signup (otherwise, selling the articles for people who don't want to subscribe would be stupid - they would subscribe for a month and unsubscribe and go through trouble just to get the lower price of the monthly subscription). So $15 one time signup, which will also be good for 30 days membership. Then $8.35 recurring.
I wanted to make it $4.99 but I have to deduct taxes, the payment processor fee, the transaction fee, the costs of running the site (hosting, plugins, not even counting the hours I put in) and some other stuff, so in order for this measure to have the desired effect, which is keeping the site online, I had to make a price that would actually leave me with something to invest for upgrades and updates.
It's not up yet, so it's also up for discussion. Membership won't be mandatory. I even enabled guest checkout just a second ago.
I also don't know how and what to include in membership, but the premium articles should be in there, so that it will be well worth it if you need these articles.
Edit: The how to be #1 will never be in there.
Edit2: I have about 8 more premium and several more free articles already in advanced stages of draft - most of the work goes on behind the scenes :)
The subscription will not auto-renew. Instead, it will "pause" if you don't renew after 30 days, so basically, you could shoot me in the knee and just renew whenever I have added enough articles that you like.. pretty mean now that I think about it..

Thank you so much for your suggestion.
Maybe it's too early for me to start that kind of selling. I've found that most people don't care if the video is shared on clips4sale.

Hi All,
Just thought I'd say hi as I've been lurking on here for ages and have read every single page of this thread, as well as Sinna's blog in its entirety whilst setting up my clips4sale store over the past month or so. Back in Feb I booked a model and a studio and produced my first batch of clips, I've spent hours upon hours editing, watermarking and creating GIFs, all following Sinna's guidelines and using lots of the resources and advice from this site. Last night I bit the bullet and asked support to activate my clipsite, and I woke up this morning to my first sale!
Fair enough, it's $5.39, so I'm still a bit short of a million and there's still a hell of a lot of work to be done, but the fact that somebody liked what I'd produced enough to dig out their credit card and pay for a download means so much to me, I'm now going to start updating regularly with more clips and different formats, as well as posting some previews on Twitter, and I'll let you all know how I get on :-D
Thanks again to Sinna and to everybody on this forum, it's been such a valuable resource! :-)

Question(s) about privacy in regards to exchanged info after a purchase or chargeback...
So I was talking to a friend the other day about privacy regarding selling something through another company (i.e. selling books through amazon) and was told that the buyer has access to your name and address, doesn't matter that it's through amazon. She continued saying that if someone buys something from you with card online, they can very well have access to your info. the same way you have access to theirs (as far as name, address).
It got me nervous, I've read that you guys can see the buyer's info when they buy clips from you... so is it possible that they would see your info as well? When they do a chargeback, will they get the info?
Also just to recap, as far as keeping pretty secure on c4s this is what I've read, please tell me if there's something else:
-get a "p.o. box" of sorts to use for an address as opposed to your real one
-use your passport (if in U.S.) for identification purposes rather than your ID
-turn off location on smartphone if you use it to make vids/make video non-trackable
-obviously either don't show face or risk being recognized eventually
I've considered using giftrocket, hoping it also for certain doesn't provide info when the payment doesn't go through (there might be loopholes, and yes i'm aware security is always at risk no matter what due to hackers, selling of info, etc) but I hope that's still good to use as of now
Thank you

If you were selling items, that could be true. However, you are not. Clips4sale is selling items and they are compensating you for providing them with these items with a share of their revenue, which just happens to be 60%. The customer and clips4sale make the sale and they exchange their information. c4s keeps your information safe.

Are you a male? Because that's the way it sounds. If you aren't planning on doing a chargeback, there is no problem. And yes, we, the content producers/store owners CAN see customers first and last names, their city, state and country and their IP address. If a customer isn't doing anything shady, what's the problem? Buying clips and charging back is THEFT.
Yeah, there are guys into Financial Domination who worry about blackmail and stuff like that, but what is your real concern?

^ No I’m a performer and I mentioned chargebacks because I figure if we (performer) have access to their (buyer) name, address ,ip, etc then I thought they do too for us, and maybe the reason they do chargebacks is to find a way to get our info somehow? Like making a return and needing the “return address”. I know people have said to be careful using amazon for example because the customers can find out our info when they buy something from us on the “wishlist” or when they just buy something from a random seller they can get their info, so I thought c4s might end up having a similar problem. Or if you own a business (let’s call it B co.), the person purchasing from B co. might have to get in contact with the owner for legal purposes and thus is allowed to have the real name of the business owner. And unless there was a performer who tried purchasing a video and testing all of this out herself can we be for sure? So what my friend said got me thinking about all of this.
tl;dr just want to know that as a performer my contact info will be pretty anonymous/safe.

Hi, thank you ladies very much for your help. I've seen a real improvement in not only sales but the overall look of my store. I'm much happier with it and as soon as I can get that GIF thing down I'm sure it will get much better. It was explained well , I'm just not good at computer stuff lol.
I have a few more questions if you don't mind.
1. When I save the raw clip in WMV it doesn't have a watermark on it. How do I go back and add that afterwards? The other formats let me save after I've added it but I can't figure it out for the original one.
2. Is there a way to add a custom banner to be used as the one that c4s rotates through the differing categories or must I use one made on-site? I had a custom one made and it's much nicer but I've only been able to upload it to the storefront so far.

You probably need to specify what editing software you're using, so someone using the same software could chime in.

Under home tab (in Admin), under Banner Wizard there is a "Tutorial" link to the right, I rewatched it and at 40 seconds mark they show that you can set a "background" to your banner. If the image you made is the correct aspect ratio (aka it wouldn't be stretched like the penguin image that they uploaded there), then you could simply set it as "background" and skip all the other steps and you'd have a banner with your premade image.
Although just recently I saw a very flashy gif banner and considering that the Banner Wizard only makes jpgs I suspect that there could be some special directory that you can upload self-made banners, however, I didn't see one under the "Add/Del Files" tab.
Sinna (2pee4you)

You can use any banner you want. You don't have to use their banner creator. Just make sure to name the banner correctly (banner.jpg) and upload it to your images folder.
Here is the official instruction:
"BANNER ADS: To have your banner added to the main site rotation you would just create a banner that is 468px x 72px and name the file: banner.jpg - Upload the file to your IMAGES folder (you can use the GIZMO FTP in your ADMIN) and it will automatically be added to the banner rotation. If you do not have a banner or if you need a banner made you can now go into the ADMIN and use the BANNER GENERATOR tool to make your own. There is a link for the TUTORIAL as well which explains step-by-step how to make a banner."

Once I've done that I can use the caption feature to add my name and then Save As to make a MP4, high definition etc version but I can't figure out how to go back and put it in the first one. I'm sure it's something obvious:(. I did get the banner uploaded properly so thank you ladies

Have any of you seen on twitter what happened with a few girls from ManyVids? One of the top girls there was told there was a store on C4S where someone had taken her exclusive manyvids videos and were selling them on clips4sale. It was a long process to have them removed apparently. MV helped the girls get the content down, but now they are trying to get people to boycott C4S and have MV sue them (which honestly, I doubt will happen or go over well)

I didn't hear about that. But upon checking manyvids, I saw that Missa has just joined. I guess she'll easily pick up the bonus every month from now on. I just always thought she was a featured studio on c4s (one requirement being exclusiveness), but apparently not?

I heard there was a store on C4s selling stolen content of cam girls, but C4s took it down straight away when they were notified.
And to the post a few above, yes I think it's more competition, the amount of cam girls and or "clip girls" is getting bigger and bigger everyday for many reasons. I have read a lot, that if one girl makes good money, she tells her friends, then they all try it and so on and so on. Not to mention forums like this and others, also lots of blogs posts from cam girls, helping new girls get started. I think it's great we can help newbies, but it also means more and more people are joining in on the fun. So we are sharing the load. When I started on MFC there was never over 1500 hundreds girls on at any given time. Usually sat around 1000. Now it's consistent at around 1500, So yes, heaps of new girls.
