Absolutely no solution for this. C4S Support can not remove old files - they dont have access rights. Their programmers too...

I've generated 3 bytes files with the same filenames. And than uploaded them.
And now, i use only 960 bytes of disk space for unnecessary videos.

Ugh.....any idea wtf this is ? I'm using Tara's studio for reference.

It only shows a download button, which, after you click it, takes you to a page to pay a membership....and then what, you have access to all of those videos ?? Who gets those membership money ??? WTF ?????

Update: It's actually a site that sells our videos, illegally, how else. And it seems C4S is aware of it's existence and they are trying to take it down. I'm hoping sooner than later :(
There are a lot of videos up there from a lot of studios. Make sure you file those copyright infringements forms for C4S to take them down.

Get this......I clicked on my store name from one of the categories I'm in and got this error message:
"You have reached the error page.
Error: 503 Backend fetch failed (null)

Retrying in 15 seconds."
WTF???
PS--Tried other stores and it's the same error message. It works if I go directly to my store URL but not if I'm clicking from any of the categories I'm in.

I was wondering how many clips you guys had to upload (in total) before you hit that "sweet spot" where you started getting at least 1 sale a day/7 sales per week?
I feel like I'm going nowhere fast, and just when I think I have loads of vids uploaded, I realise I have a LOOOONG way to go yet. I just need some inspiration to keep at it...

There really is no definite answer to this question. Literally every store will be different. It can't be like "oh once I have 100 clips in my store I will be making x amount of sales per day". It def doesn't work that way. You can have twenty clips in your store & if it's good stuff customers want then you will get many sales. There's so many factors that go into making a good selling clip. Your performance & lighting is very important. Be believable. Get into it. Don't be monotone. As with everything it takes practice. Some people have the performance quality down from the beginning and for others it takes a little time. And to be honest some just weren't made to perform. Although there are categories that don't require a "performance" like voyeur for example. But keep trying & read all the other tips in this thread.

It's been open at least a year, but just as I was getting into it I had a death in the family, so cleared it out and started over. Been trying to get new clips up for a couple of weeks now, at least 5 days out of 7.

I upload to two stores, 3 times a day in each (7 days a week) and still have days of no sales... there are good days and bad days, good months and bad months. Nothing is consistent.

There isn't a magic number as to how many clips you should have in your store. The key to having more sales is being consistent with uploading new clips and personally, I think having a following of guys that loyally buy up your clips. I have certain types of clips that I know certain guys buy up pretty much every time I post them. So it's kind of like guaranteed sales when I do those types of clips.
But even then, there are certain times of the year that sales are slower and other times sales seem to flow with ease. I write down my daily sales on calendars I print off and write down any notes about slow sales days, or holidays or other things going on.
Like a few days after the 4th were really slow for me and I was getting a little frustrated, but I kept pushing through. Well that Saturday after the 4th was awesome and totally made up for the slow days and then some. And last week was a pretty great sales week. But now yesterday and today have been slow again. I'm still updating as usual, but I know these things happen and I just keep at it.
Are you in the Top 50 stores in any of the categories that you post in? Because that brings you extra traffic/visibility as well.

So I love Google Analytics. It fascinates me. I once had a vanilla job that involved doing reports on web stuff when the company was upping their SEO and social media game, and so me and GA are besties. And lately (and when I say lately I mean July, a bit at the last 3 days of June) my traffic is coming...from my own promo work. Not all of it. But a steadily increasing %. Which kind of worries me because overall hits are dropping, so it's like "aw shit if I have to rely on my own promo I am fuuucked". Anyway, just needed to tell a forum of strangers about my obsessions. Because...Tuesday.

Hey guys! I a just had a quick question. I'm a bit confused about main category. I know you can't change it, so I'm trying to figure out what is a good one for me. I'm trying to capitalize on my chubbs, so I'm thinking chubby. Then do a few other niche fetishes. So, my main category would be chubby, but the keywords would be underwater, basket weaving, etc. So, the way I think I understand it is that in this case I will *not* be in the newly updated list or underwater and basketweaving, right? Only in chubby? But, if someone searches or underwater or basketweaving it will show up there? Thanks

Your store will be on the newly updated stores list on the Main Page and each category you list in. So, say you have your store Main category as BBW, then you shoot a Foot Fetish clip, that you put in the Foot Fetish category. Your store will appear on the Main page (under newly updated stores) with the Foot Fetish category next to it AND it will appear in the Newly Updated stores in the Foot Fetish category. Regardless of the fact that your STORE category is BBW, your clips will always appear in the CATEGORIES that you choose for them.
BTW....I remember a high school math teacher always telling us that without math, the only thing you could be in life was an underwater basketweaver. lol

You are welcome :) I am sorry about you having a death in your family. Since I've been a part of Clips4Sale for a little over two years now, I've always wondered how I would be if I lost a very close family member. My parents are still alive although they are older and I wonder if one of them were to die how would I handle this work soon after their death. Not to be all morbid but death is a part of life.
I also think to keep "emergency" clips on the side for situations where I won't be able to work for a few days/a week. But since i procrastinate this would be something I seriously need to plan out & dedicate myself to.
Good luck with your store!

Which category do you want to make? Maybe we can all "help" :)
I have suggested a few in the past and they implemented all of them. Looking at some categories, you would say that 115 related clips + 15 unique clips of yours should be enough

Looking at some categories, you would say that 115 related clips + 15 unique clips of yours should be enough I wanted to make one for Bicycle Shorts. I have had a guy buy them as customs but he said he's a member of a forum and told them about my store and they are interested in the vids to. Of course he could be full of crap but as I sold the vids (except for like 2) as customs I wouldn't be out anything . Plus if C4S can make a category for One Shoe and a separate one for One Shoe Hopping you wouldn't think bicycle shorts would be a hard one to get lol.

They just added a category for nylon clothing, so maybe they feel it should go under there.
I recently requested categories for short toes and accents, and they delivered in a couple of days. Mind you, I asked for different categories for separate accents, but they chose to go with a more catchall "Regional Accents" instead so maybe they feel bicycle shorts is too specific on its own.
There is also a newish category for workout clothes. Additionally, I am to understand that if one is specifically looking for bicycle shorts, they can run a search for that and it will come up if those words are in your description or keywords.
They maintain a list of recently added categories (http://blog.clips4sale.com/b/new-categories-added/) in case anyone else is interested in that for reference.

I have several bicycle shorts videos. I post them in spandex / shorts / jeans/pants wetting (a category that I suggested and that's certainly one of the strangest categories, because they actually named it jeans/pants wetting - which can also be seen on other clipselling sites, easily identifying them as having copied from c4s).
I would think that they don't recognize bicycle shorts as being a "thing", although bicycle shorts have unique properties.

Approval of new categories is erratic. It depends on who gets your request, how many related clips you have, how many related clips other stores have, whether the clips could go under a larger umbrella of a category, etc etc. They once told me they wouldn't add MUMMIFICATION unless I had 20 unique mummification vids already in my store. I messaged FM Concepts and asked them to put in the request, since they did have 20+ vids like that, and it got approved. But to me the main factor is who gets your request and whether they're feeling generous. Look on c4s for someone else doing the same fetish, ask them to put in the request, and cross your fingers that their request will be seen by a different staffer. :)

I just have to add that I have definitely found some C4S people to be more helpful than others. Some just give the "I'll tell the programmers" response and some actually look into things a bit more themselves and try and help you out as much as they can.

I agree. I guess it's because they are all different humans and they have different levels of knowledge. Some are more fun to work with than others, like everywhere else and some are just more able. Over the years I got to know them all more or less and I can immediately tell if it's going to be a good, average or bad support experience when I see the name. In important cases, I just contact one of the "good". They all have their name @ clips4sale.com as email address.
However, about that particular "programmers" response: I think I got 1 of those actually answered later, like the standard reply text suggests. All other issues must have resolved itself without my knowing, like that text suggests as well.
Overall, I am pretty happy with the support.

I'm a little excited about the short toes category lol. I have such short weird toes and small feet. Actually I'd probably have normal sized feet if my toes were a normal length. It's like my toes got cut off or something.
But anyways, this month for me has been really good. I can't complain. Actually the past few months have been really good. I'm making one maybe two clips a day (two formats) and really focus on a good enticing story line & couple scene changes. I've noticed most of the Top 50 studios in all of C4S really only make one clip a day, if that. And so far it's really paying off for me. And the numbers of big bulk orders coming in is growing every month. I'm really grateful for C4S. Switching from camming to making clips was the best thing I did.
I really don't mean to sound like I'm blowing smoke up my own ass but this job is lonely for me sometimes since I don't talk much about it to anyone else. Even my boyfriend isn't so enthused about what I do so I hardly talk to him about it. He can freely talk about his nursing job but if I mention a custom I have to do or a clip I made he kinda just laughs or makes a joke (cause he just doesn't get it). He doesn't understand anything kink or that I enjoy performing. But I tell him my emotions are with him. I can separate it but he doesn't get that. I compare it to actors but he just won't see it, since it's all sexual.
When I have great selling days or make an awesome clip or get great feedback on a custom it just seems lonely not to be able to share that with anyone else. I have not so great days too though. That's when I procrastinate and put off making/uploading clips. Then it's my own fault I have low sales.
So thanks for listening.

I'm glad you're having a good month. Don't feel bad about that one bit! ;-)
But like the others, I'm having a pretty slow month too. June was actually my best sales month of 2016 so far, kind of surprising. June/July tend to be a little slow. Which is understandable, people want to go outside, enjoy the nice weather, go on holiday, etc. I *think* looking at my past years sales, that August is going to pick up....but don't quote me on that! lol
I'm sorry to hear that your boyfriend doesn't really get what you do and I totally understand because I've been there. It sucks because our partners are suppose to be the ones who 'get' us and can be supportive. I don't know about in your case, but I think my ex-boyfriend might have felt threatened by what I do. Which is ridiculous because, like you, I was totally with him. Shooting clips IS acting! It's not like I'm going to run off with some pervert online! hahahaha
And I get what you say about not being able to tell other people about what you do. People make all sorts of weird assumptions about you if you tell them, or they ask 10 million questions. :P I think we live in a sexually repressed world anyway. And the thing is, every one of us should be proud of what we do. I mean think about it. We are our own bosses, we created our own income basically, we are independent and obviously self-disciplined to shoot clips on a regular enough basis to make a living from it. Most people need to go to a job and be told what to do every day. I honestly don't think a lot of people could deal with the stress of being self employed and the ups and downs that go with it. And that's what this thread is for---for us to share the good and the bad with others who 'get' it. :-)

Don't feel bad if you are having a good month! I totally bragged last month when I kicked ass all over the block and other people were struggling :P Maybe I'm weird, but it makes me feel better when I have a crap day that someone else has a good one, it makes me feel like the day is just a fluke and not to worry that $ is down everywhere. I cam and do PSO too, and I feel the same way there: I have a tight little group of camgirls I chat with on Skype, and when one of them is killing it and I'm 5 hours and $20 in, it gives me the motivation to keep going, because if someone is making $, then there is still $ out there to make!

Yeah, don't feel bad about having a good month at all, even if everyone else isn't. It just means that whatever you're doing is really working for you!
I just opened my store earlier this month and I've not made as much money as I thought I would, but I did at least make payout so there's that. But knowing that most everyone's having a ehhhhhh month makes me feel better too, like I just started at the wrong time and next month might be better. I would feel much more discouraged about this is everyone else was banking and I wasn't.

It can take a while for your store to take hold. Unless you already have a big customer base to bring to your store, the first few months can be a bit "off". And most months have a surge in orders at the end of the month. The last 5 days tend to be the best days of the month for me.
I am filming again tomorrow, trying to think of some new ideas. My brain feels really empty ideas-wise. I have this issue every summer in all of my work...I get distracted by gorgeous weather and spend less time planning than usual, which results in less getting done. Having a new cat doesn't help either, all I want to do is play with him and all he does when I try to film is photo bomb me at the last possible moment or sit outside the closed door and scream his head off.
