I'm a mom. I have one child and the house is always immaculate. I couldn't imagine living in filth like a lot of people do. It just makes my skin crawl to see dirty rooms in cam shows. How do I do it? I clean every morning and always clean up after myself. It's SOOO easy to do. Some people are just lazy... and others have good reason.

Since we got the puppy, my time management has been a REAL challenge - and there has been extra cleaning to do!!
It is worth remembering that it is easier to do little and often, than a LOT and rarely.
First thing in the morning, after I've walked the dog and while the coffee is brewing, I quickly go around the house tidying up and putting stuff away - usually that just means making the bed, putting the towels away and sweeping the floor.
After I do anything that makes a bit of a mess, I make SURE to deal with it right away - just putting dishes straight in the dishwasher, or putting clothes in the laundry basket.
After camming, I clean up while I make dinner - wash my toys and put them away, clean up the cam space, put away mugs and water bottles (I drink a lot on cam! LOL) and just generally clear up any random mess that has appeared during the day.
Then before bed, I do one more sweep - making sure that everything is clean or put away.
Each time takes maybe 5 minutes, and doesn't feel like "cleaning" because it's just me pottering around making sure things are in the right place while I'm doing other things. Once a week, I take a few hours, scrub the house, do the laundry and then I just have to maintain it for a week.
I also second the idea of never leaving a room empty handed - and that goes for the house, too! If I'm going out to run an errand, I'll check, and take our recycling or garbage if there is any. I'll always check the mail when I am on my way in or out or the house. And I ALWAYS glance around the room to see if anything need doing before I leave it.
Now, if only I could find a way to make the man of the house do these things too.....

LoL people always think its weird when I say, Im lazy and hate to clean, so I do it everyday. But whole point is Id rather just keep things tidy and spend a few min a day on it than let things get out of hand. I neverrr want to spend hours cleaning house, so I avoid it at all costs by not letting that happen.
And yesss! I have to say, background in pics/on cam are such a major thing...plus guys pay attention to stuff like that!! An ex of mine said he would check out girls photos and if he saw a mess or pile of clothes in the background, no matter how hot or interesting, he did not want to see her on cam. As it was, in my first photos that he saw of me, he couldnt get over my couch. He said that the moment he saw it, he made it his mission to make sure he buy me a new one :D And so many times in shows, guys are asking me to show them my room or commenting on it. Of course now Im kind of nervous, because I dont have as nice a room/background to cam out of, so Im going to have to get creative. But even if my room isnt spotless, I always make sure the view from my cam is...it really can cost $$$.

OMG, I needed this thread. My place isn't OCD clean, but it's clean. The one problem, I had laundry piled up to my head in my closet, LOL. It looked like a bomb had gone off in there. I was reading this thread and next thing I know I'm stuffing garbage bags with all my laundry and walking to my condo's laundromat. ... they're in the dryer right now, hehe.
My closet no longer looks like a tornado went through it, yay.

I haven't starte camming yet... but with a full time "regular" job (that will be replaced with camming), dancing, a boyfriend, and soon to be 2 kids, I figured I was qualified to post.
Multi tasking is key! As well as picking up as you go.
For laundry (easiest when your washer and dryer is at home):
~I have a 3 compartment basket thing. Pants go in one, shirts in another, kid clothes, washrags and lingere in the third towels will go in the wash with pants or shirts. Whichever needs a bit extra to fill a load. When a compartment is full you just throw in the washer.
~Stained items are sprayed and just thrown directly into washer machine, they get cleaned when the next load is started
~If there is a load in wash you can either cam or start on other chores.
~Either fold laundry and put away immediately if you hate wrinkles, or, if you're like me, throw everything in a basket and fold while watching TV or sitting on computer.
I combine my cooking and dishes.
~A crockpot may become your best friend.
~Check fridge for leftovers that need tossed. You may need more tupperware!
~Fill sink so stuff can soak and you can start cooking or preparing your crockpot. Throw knives, cutting boards, etc in sink as you are done with them
~If you have items simmering or heating up, wash a few items at a time and go back to the food. I keep repeating this
~I'll double up on portions (2 boxes of hamburger helper instead of 1), or use the 7qt crockpot and whatever is leftover when we're done with dinner it gets put in the tupperware and put in fridge or frozen for future dinners.
~Sometimes I'll get the family size pack of hamburger cook it all up use what I need and then portion that up and freeze it for quick meals later in the week.
I'll pick a day off to focus on really cleaning the kids rooms and the bathroom since those are the grossest. Bed sheets, throw blankets, certain toys, those all go in the wash this day. I'm the type of person that has to pick up all the toys and move everything to vacuum those rooms. Once a month I wipe stuff down with lysol wipes.

I wish that I could keep up, I have three kids, small house and seems I am always cleaning up, my living room is usually the place that is spotless, but table and the kitchen always seem to get "cluttered"
Every morning when they leave, I sweep and then vacuum my floors and try to clean things quickly and start working. But I always get behind.. between two jobs and running them where they need to be, there is never enough time.. I keep trying to say, just put things away when you are done, but I find, that I am just as bad as they are, since I am always in a hurry.. (I'll just do it later) I will keep on trying!
between all of their activities, and working even shopping has been put on the back burner lol I'll take any tips I can get!!

I just now realize that this thread is from LAST October lol but it's funny to see my reply a year ago because things have definitely changed!
I've got to second the not sleeping too much part... I used to get way too much sleep which only made me more tired and have less energy! Now I get 7 hours a night and it really helps so much. Also I've been taking the B vitamins and exercising and it's amazing how much those will help. Exercise alone makes an amazing difference!
As far as keeping the house clean, I can't stand an unclean house, it gives me anxiety and drags me down if I have clutter or messes laying around. So my biggest tip is to just not let the messes build up in the first place! If you are doing something, keep it clean as you go and you won't have a huge mess to take care of later. If you are cooking, clean as you go. Keep the dishwasher empty so you can put things in as you use them.
I dedicate my nights off to getting all the laundry done and doing the bigger cleaning like floors, bathrooms, etc.
With having 3 kids... my 5 year olds are pretty good at keeping their stuff picked up but my 2 year old is like a crazy viking he tries to tear though everything, of course! My only solution to this has been allowing him to play mostly in the den/play room and not give him free reign to the entire house. This lets him go as crazy as he wants with this toys but confines it to one area where it's easy to pick up after he's down for a nap and then in bed. I know not everyone has the space for a "play room" but if you can limit the area that your kids are in for the majority of their play time, it will help keep things MUCH cleaner and in order!
Other than that Lusty had some awesome tips as far as scheduling and such. The key really is to discipline yourself and stay on schedule!

I am fucking awful at house work. I'm serious. In my head, I'm a neat freak. But before I know it, the mess piles up and suddenly I'm overwhelmed and don't know where to start, so it stays messy. I feel like I will never catch up on it and it honestly stresses me out :/

Love this thread so much! I thought it was just me who found it difficult to keep things clean around my apt.
Before camming I always had maids, but never was satisfied with any of them because they broke things, stole things, etc,
When i was still making great money at my corporate job, I was living in a huge 2200 square ft. house, with attached garage, large patio, and could whip through my house in 2 hours per week to do a thorough cleaning.(Plus I had lots of animals to clean up after too- 2 dogs, a cat, 2 rats, and a guinea pig.)
Now that the corporate job and money are long gone, and i now live in an 800 sq. ft apt, without any animals, I find it sooo difficult to keep my place clean. it must have something to do with camming so much. I mean, let's face it, talking to many different custies per day, plus having to masterbate all day, while looking at the computer glare, and bright lights is EXHAUSTING! Besides, i am now in peri-menopause, so that probably has a lot to do with it.
Thanks for telling me about the bad dreams from the melatonin, because I take a melatonin to sleep every night, and the nightmares are making me wake up exhausted too. ( but i need something to sleep to shut down my mind. thanks ladies or such wonderful posts about said topic.

Because of my current health issues, there is just no way that I would be able to both work and keep the house clean so someone else does it.

Kids in bed by 7:30, clean til 9:30 on cam by 10pm.
Schedule and routine is the key.
