I also only accept greendot moneypaks for skype shows. They can purchase one at Walmart and many gas stations and drug stores. Then they give you the activation number, you load it onto one of your prepaid debit cards, and that's it. Absolutely no way to "charge back". This is the one and only way I will accept money outside of tips on the site I work for.
Newby here but I've been reading alot!! A couple quick questions if you don't mind!
When you say load it onto one of your prepaid debit cards are you referring to another greendot card? Or on their (greendot's) website it mentions loading a "serve" card with moneypak, is this it?

Or can i purchase a moneypak, and he load it online? Or does he have to give MY zip to load the pak online?

Thank you so much!!!

I was just contacted by a semi-regular through email me to ask me about my doing skype shows for amazon gift cards so I am trying to figure out what the best route is right now.

I am not 100% that there isn't chargebacks on amazon.ca gift certificates but I am not completely sure about it. I really rather have money in hand though. I was thinking about selling it on ebay.ca but if I remember correctly Paypal takes a big cut when you take money out so I am wondering if it would even be worth it to sell it.

I don't have Payoneer so that that option won't work for me.

I would recommend not doing this, but only because of a personal experience. You can sell giftcards, just load your account with the customer's giftcard, then later buy some giftcards in the amount you want it. Such as $25. Anyway, I sold a giftcard no problem on ebay. Six days later, the guy claimed that there was nothing on the card and he wanted his money back. He took the case to ebay. Ebay sided with me. He took it again, ebay sided with me again. Again, he took it to ebay (these were all under different categories, and each story contradicted the others) and this time ebay sided with him. When I complained and said how he had used up the money, they said that they don't allow giftcards to be sold at auction and that it was my own fault. Ebay actually has a category called "giftcards" and they sell hundreds each day yet their official stance is that giftcards aren't allowed to be sold on their site. So he got the card and the money.

They just tell you the $ amount they bought and the moneypak number. No information has to be given to him.

go read at moneypak.com and you'll see how to do it.

I don't know what the serve card is you mentioned....

YOU load the card yourself with the activation code he gives you from the moneypak, don't let him load it for you as this would require you giving out your card number and zip code.

I just go to www.moneypak.com and right there it says "Reload a Prepaid Card", you enter in your prepaid card number (all the numbers on the front of the card), and from there on you just need the activation number from the money pak and you're good to go after that. When it asks for zip code, it is wanting the zip code associated with your prepaid card.

Some good prepaid debit cards that work with money paks are:
www.mangomoney.com (my favorite)
www.accountnow.com
www.walmartmoneycard.com

All of these are great prepaid debit card that do not require credit checks, external bank accounts, or anything like that.

Ahh gotcha. Thank you for clarifying that!

I got serve from the moneypak website. There was an option to load a "serve" card. Now I see that its really no different from the other though.
It's basically an am-ex prepaid card. What seems nice about it is that the custy can create a serve account online as well. Load their money into their account online (for a fee) and do a straight account-account transfer to mine. They give a debit card. The first atm withdraw of each month is free, after that $2 (this is probably a feature on any prepaid cards though). From their terms they basically do not allow any refunds/ stop transactions etc.
I really appreciate your help, thanks!

Well scratch that.. From their terms, not quite a stringent as paypal. But probably not risking.

There is no risk because it's done like a cash transaction. There is nothing to indicate what it's for.

Guy has to run to the store and buy a card each time? Sounds like a pain for the customer and a deterrent for spontaneous guys. :-\

Think of xPeeps if he doesn't feel like running to Wal-Mart then ;D

Well, I personally only accept money for skype shows or "gifts" ahead of time which is planned and scheduled, so buying a moneypak is not a hassle at all in that case.

Two questions to ask before signing up to xpeeps in order to receive offline tips:

1. If a guy tips $100, how much of that goes to the model?
2. Does xpeeps cover chargebacks? Or does the model cover chargebacks?

Sure...

1. $70
2. We cover chargebacks but reserve the right to stop doing business with a model who has excessive ones :-)

Are you talking about ChipIn? I think they are run by PayPal though, so I would be careful.

I have used my paypal on skype, but Ive only done that with 3 guys. They have been with me since I first started. I'm glad this post was made. I've been looking into alertpay. Made the account, but haven't done a skype show in a week or so, so thank you for posting girls! Also wanted to mention that I've had the paypal account for about 10 years. A Business account. I just made sure they sent the money as a gift and with nothing specified as to what for. Maybe thats why I had no chargebacks or I was right at ONLY trusting those 3 WONDERFUL custy's =) But I make no habit of it (know its a number 1 NO NO!) until I get more info about alertpay and payoneer. =P

I have used green dot in the past. You can just go to any ATM and get cash or buy gas, groceries, pay a bill online etc. With the card it's simple and easy.
